I don't have a clue what number we were on, but I am glad the site is back up.
Well I talked to the people with the drug study and found out it has been posponed until the end of the month.
Ia feeling really bad tonight. I told Alvin I was glad that I knew nothing was wrong with my heart cause I felt just like I did the night I made him take me to the hospital. Hopefully I'll feel better soon.

BARB--it doesn't matter what number we were on as long as we all find our way back here. I remember that we were on #70 but it will be nice to start over on #1 again. Sorry to hear that your study has been postponed. I know you're anxious to get started.
We left home on Tues the 6th and are now in the St Louis area. We found a charming small town in IA for our 1st nite's stay. We ate in a cafe in town that rivals any that Hollywood has created. It was SO middle America that I felt that I was on a movie set. It was just TOO cute. Last nite we stayed in Hannibal and this am we toured several Sam Clemmons/Mark Twain buildings and museums. Hannibal is a lovely old town with landmarks that can be found in Twain's books. Tomorrow it's on to KY and TN and then we'll arrive in AL on Sat when our rental term begins.
Hope to see all the rest of the gang posting soon.

I'm here.....not feeling so good today, have beern doing the treadmill and ran up and down the stairs putting some Christmas stuff away (left my snowmen out so more to put away later) and now my hips and back hurt! I want to be normal and do things without pain!
DH had to run his mom to the hospital, seems she had a mild stoke, (TIA)her blood pressure was over 200 and they couldn't figure out why(her meds were working good). When he called me I asked if they new what caused the high BP and could it be the cough medicine she was on. They thought I was dumb for asking and when they questioned her again she told them she had taken an OTC drug (robitussion)and they said that would do it, that had raised her BP. She of course blammed the Pharmacist...She just asked him what was a good OTC to take and didn't have him check her meds to see if she could even take it) hey you gotta ask questions and look out for yourself and she knows better (is always reading medical stuff and telling everyone else what to do!) She is back to normal right now.....the old bat! ( can you tell I think she is a pushy know it all) but DH has to take off work to go check on her and then get her settled in at home when she is released. She is a hypochondriac too, plus she has Fibro, that is her main problem she thinks that Fibro could not cause all her pain and keeps running to doc after doc to find out if she is dying! Then she will not accept what they tell her. She is so stubborn....Makes me really mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now she will really be demading attention............just like DH's dad!

Hi,
I missed posting these past few days. Glad things are up and running again.
It's awfully cold here. This morning it's -8 deg. and that's not counting the windchill factor. Farther north it's -36 deg. We're supposed to "warm" up to the single nos., but they aren't supposed to get above zero at all today.
Barb, sorry that your study has been postponed until the end of the month. Hope you're feeling better soon. Glad that you started another thread.
Siwa, that's good news you've started to head to AL where it's warmer. Your stay in Missouri sounds nice. Friends of our's have traveled to St. Louis where friends of their's live. They went to Hannibal and absolutely loved it. Stay safe the rest of your trip.
Candice, sorry that you're hurting from all the trips up and down stairs. The weather probably has something to do with it too.
Have a great day.

We've arrived at our condo. Tonite is our 3rd nite and we just got internet this afternoon. I'm happy with the place. Wr're on the 10th floor and I love to see the pelicans fly by in the afternoons. We've walked on the beach and also plan to use the exercise room and the in and outdoor pools. It's cooler than normal just as it is in the entire US. Today it was in the 60's and quite nice. We breakfasted on our balcony. When I look out the window I see white but it's the sand on the beach and NOT snow!! We've had shrimp 2ce already and it will be a staple for weeks to come. I can tell that I'm going to enjoy this winter.
ALICE--I've seen the temps in your area and I've been feeling sorry for you--unless you like the cold and snow as some do, including DS and my mom. I didn't inherit that gene from her. I like summer and fall--50's-70's for temps.
CANDICE--I don't understand why you need to use the treadmill AND go up and down the stairs putting stuff away. Aren't the stairs enuf exercise?
Hope all is well with Ann, Kate and Barb.

We're supposed to get back into the deep freeze by tomorrow morning. They've been saying all day that with the windchill it'll seem like -30 to -50 deg. What happened to global warming? :?:
Siwa, glad that you've arrived at your condo safely. Walks on the beach sound heavenly. I'm with you in re: to temps. I really dislike the cold and snow, and more so as I get older. BBQ'd shrimp is one of my favorite foods. Hope you get your fill! In FL I love watching pelicans and sometimes they can be so comical. Enjoy your stay at the condo.

Hi everyone: Thanks barb for starting us up. I kept looking after the crash to even find an old thread - no luck- so just stopped looking in for a while.
We have been having cold temps here too. No freezing, but cool nights in the 40s, but the days warm up nice ly.
Barb: Sorry about the change in plans, but the month is going by quickly. that is the trouble the days just seem to fly by. My computer was acting up, and so I went to our tech support. He talked me through a whole lot of stuff, but now, I can't sign into my MSN mail box, or get my msn IM. If it doesn't work soon, I'm going to have to call again, and I always feel like I am at their mercy, since I am really a computer dummy.
Candice: Sorry about your MIL. It makes things tough when she is so demanding. Probably she has too much time by herself to just think about stuff. Watch out for those cookies.:D:
Siwa: Your condo sounds very nice. I love Florida shrimp too. You have to be in the area for oysters too, if you like them. Enjoy the sunshine. I no longer am a winter person. I had enough snow and ice and cold to last me for a long long time.
Alice: You are having your share of cold weather. Do you have a lot of snow? Are you working with Dr. Phil, or the south Beach program now. When will you be coming to Fl. for your winter vacation?
What has happened to Kate? and Bernice?
Next Sunday, the 18th, we are going on a weeks cruise to the Western Carribean. Really looking forward to that. I'll have to be careful in the food department.
I'll be back before we leave. Ann

It's 15 below this morning but with the windchill it seems like 30 below. Saw the local weather this morning, and ontop of Mt. Washington the temp was 45 below, with a windchill of 95 below. Now, that is cold. BRRRRR!
Ann, I envy you your cruise next week and your balmy temps. It doesn't look like we'll be heading south anytime soon. Passing papers on the cottage has been postponed until March because of a delay with the surveyor. If all goes well, after we get our income taxes squared away, we're thinking about a FL trip just before Easter, arriving Easter Sunday, as my IL's will be there until the middle of May. We really don't have that much snow. This cold air is keeping the storms to the south of us. I suppose that's the only good thing about having these temps.
Hi Barb, Candice, Kate, Siwa hope all is well with you.

This warm winter living is just great--still enjoying every minute of it. We drove to Pensacola, FL, yesterdayand discovered that it's a lovely Victorian town. The downtown architecture is reminiscent of New Orleans and the historic district is filled with charming houses, some used for businesses and some for residences. We found a restaurant that deserves a try, a restaurant serving French country inspired food. There's an Ansel Adams exhibit there that we didn't find out about til we left so we'll return for that also. Didn;t do much of anything today and , you know, it felt good. Mostly sat around and read. Reading is my fav leisure interest and I've been looking forward to having nothing to do but read so it's been great.
ANN--I've heard that FL doesn't tax food. Is that correct?
ALICE--I love hearing your stories of cold cuz it makes me feel even better. I'm not missing such cold temps at home but I do know what those temps feel like. Home has been in the 30's--higher than norm for Jan.

YEAH!!!
It's finally over :cb: We now have keys to the new building, and are starting on the renovations this morning, and the checks in hand to buy the molds and equitment that we need to start manufacturing our own parts. It was such a long stressful four months. I think the final verdict is the "loan processor" that was assigned to us was new, and she didn't know what all was supposed to be done, so she made us do a lot of things that wasn't necessary (just in case it was needed) and didn't have us do things that was necessary until someone checked her work and found thing missing that we needed. Anyway it is over and we can now get on with our lives!
I am going this morning to have my BMI measured. The are doing it at the health club and they will put me in a tank underwater and weigh me. I'm not sure what I'm hoping to find, but it should be interesting.
SIWA You are in Alabama, correct? I'm glad you like your condo. How long are you going to be there?
Alice I can't imagine temps that cold. It is raining here, but it was in the 60's here yesterday. I've got to get busy and get my picture back up.
Ann I hope you enjoy your cruise, but that's something, I've never had any desire to do.
Candice Hope you get to having some good days soon, I know you never really feel good, but some days are better than others.
I've heard from Katey, and she just in a funky time and hasn't been posted, but I haven't heard from Bernice since before Christmas. She was leaving for Florida and said she'd get back to me when she was settled, but no word yet.
Hope everyone has a great weekend

Good morning,
It's still cold, but finally it's gotten above zero. If only the wind would stop. Our coldest night was Thurs. The weather observers on Mt. Washington were disappointed that the temp. was shy 2 deg. from breaking a 100 yr. record.
Siwa, My IL's winter in FL and my MIL also loves to hear about our cold temps. I e-mailed her the other day and she answered back that they were at the beach for 2 hrs. that day. :censored:  Glad you enjoyed Pensacola.
Barb, congratulations that things have finalized. Now you can get down to business. How did your BMI go? I bet you're anxious to start this program. How often do you check in with them?
Candice, hope you've stopped hurting and are feeling better.

Just a quick note. Tomorrow is our departure date, and I'm finishing up the packing. So I'll have to catch up when we get back.
Siwa: You aare right about the tax. When you go to Pensacola again, check out the Naval Air Museum. If you have any interest in planes, it is a great place to visit.
Alcie: I've been thinking about you and the cold. You'll enjoy your Fl vacation time this year.
Barb: Hope your BMI was okay. And glad that your business is finally ready to go. Now you'll have stress of a more productive type.
Candice: Hope you are feeling better.

Another lazy day at the beach. Rained much of the day so we just stayed in and didn't feel at all guilty about it. I'm nearly zipping thru the books I brought so will prob have to buy more here. Pity cuz I have lots of unread books at home. My mom finally has booked both her and my dad's flight to visit us. Will be w/us for 18 days in Feb. There will only be 1 day in Feb when we will not have visitors.
BARB--Hooray for you! Now the fun begins. I've always wanted to do that underwater measurement of BMI. All the ways to figure it using ht and wt are just estimates and I'd like to know the real body fat even tho I probably wouldn't like the number. Yes, we're in Alabama--on the gulf in a rented 10th floor condo and loving it.
CANDICE--Cute new cookie jar! how fitting for you. That's about the only cookie jar I can keep my hands out of--a picture of one. That's why I don't make cookies much any more.
ALICE--Thanks again for your great "cold" story. Keep 'em coming all winter! LOL
Hope Ann has a wonderful cruise.

What happened to the warm Alabama winter?? Oh well, at least we're not shoveling snow. Still enjoying the view of the Gulf even if it's too cold to sit out on the balcony. It was in the 20's last nite and a hi of 49 today. That's like April at home. I really don't have anything to write cuz we don't do anything--just read, eat and sleep. DH is doing most of the cooking so it's really a holiday for me. DH has been walking on the beach daily and I was also at first but the uneveness of the sand was hurting my knee so now I walk the treadmill while he's outside walking.

Siwa, sorry you're having some cooler weather. I have something that will make you feel better...yesterday I could not get warm and spent most of the afternoon wrapped in a blanket. Feel better??  I, for one wish for a speedy winter, but unfortunately our winter can last until April. :( I only hope that things go smoothly with the cottage in March so that we can get to FL in April, around Easter. Have you had anymore shrimp?

I got a call from the research people saying that I was too FAT to do the research study. Seem the have to do a MRI of your liver & pancrase and the MRI machine had a weight limit of 250. Then yesterday they called and said that the radiology dept had a new machine and the weight limit wasn't an issue anymore, so I have my screening appointment Monday Feb 2th.

We're enjoying doing nothing but we both say that 2 months of this will be quite enuf, thank you. I know that I'll be raring to go on home projects when we are home and I hope DH will be also.
ALICE--Thanks so much for more of your "cold" stories. We eat shrimp about every other day (and we're lovin' it!) Ate out at lunch today--southern BBQ.
BARB--You certainly are on a roller coaster on both of your projects. Luckily the wt loss project is still on tho.
I'm still working on losing my holiday gain but am doing well with it. Just wish I didn't have to lose that same wt all over again. It's so easy to eat an extra 3400 cals/pound of gain but it sure is hard to eat 3400 LESS!

BARB--Those specail days without loved ones can be difficult, especially the first ones. Being with or talking to others can be a help but only you know what works for you.
The Red Hat Society-----www.redhatsociety.com
Check out the web site for more info. It's an organization begun by a lady in CA just for herself and her friends. It's grown by leaps and bounds to become the entity it is today. The name is based on the Jenny Joseph poem, "When I am old-------I'll wear a red hat with a purple dress that doesn't go"----or something like that.l We get together purely to have fun. The only rule is that there are no rules, per se, but we always wear purple clothing and a red hat to all functions. It's a group for ladies of a certain age (50+) but if a lady is not yet 50 and really wants to join she must wear lavender and a pink hat until her graduation ceremony at age 50. I've met some wonderful ladies in my community and have gone places and done things that I may not have if I hadn't been in the group. There are local and national conventions. The national is in Dallas this year, in May, I think. There will literally be thousands of Red Hat ladies there. There were 300 at our little local convention. The organization is growing so fast because there are so many of us Baby Boomers of the "right" age. Some of the ladies are really outrageous in their attire as well as their behavior. You know what they say......."Girls just wanna have fun."

Good morning everyone,
Have to take Lacee to the vets later this morning for her yearly shots. It should be fun, as she barks and growls at the larger dogs. Compared to some, she's a tiny little thing and people get a big kick out of it. She is a brat.
Barb, last winter when DH & I were in FL we went out to lunch at this resturant next door to a marina and there were two large tables with ladies from the Red Hat Society. They were having such a good time that I envied them. After they ate the more hearty ones went out on a sailboat ride, but a lot of them stayed behind. My best friend belongs to a chapter, but hasn't been able to attend very many meetings. One Halloween they went out for breakfast wearing purple pyjamas over their street clothes. It sounds like they have a great time.
Siwa, glad that you're enjoying your winter break. It's still cold, it was 10 below on Sun. morning and it's 0 this morning. I'm still wrapped in a blanket while watching TV.
Have a wonderful day ladies.

Siwa, the cold temps that MN had is what we've been going through since the first part of Jan. BRRRRR!! I think by Sun., we're supposed to be back into more normal temps. Hopefully. Enjoy your company.
Ann, glad you had a good time on your cruise and hope you're feeling better. Sometimes all it takes in traveling outside our country to realize how great it is to be here, even though we complain at times. I have a question. You moved to FL from a colder climate. Did you have to adjust to the year round FL weather, and if so, how long did it take you? I know winter is the ideal time to be down there, but I was wondering about the rest of the year. DH & I may have some decisions to make come spring if the cottage sells and if our business doesn't pick up. We're thinking about moving to FL because the cold this winter has been very hard on the both of us. I would appreciate any input. Thanks.
Yesterday my best friend and I met for a very early lunch so we could see the movie, Somethings Gotta Give, at noon. We got to the restaurant, literally wolfed down our food, drove to the theater only to find it closed. The worse part about it was that in the paper they said there was a matinee at noon. :censored: So, we went to the mall but did no shopping. The mall has scattered some seating areas with comfy sofas and chairs. We bought some coffee, sat on one of the sofas and had a gabfest, as we hadn't seen each other in a few weeks.
Have a great weekend everyone. :balloons:

I'm hopng to maintain while she's here and then get back OP Tuesday. I brought our scale along so that I can keep track of myself and it has been a motivator for me.
BARB--Congratulations on 38 years!
My parents arrive on Thursday so I hope it warms up a bit for them. I know it will be warmer than MN but I'd like for them to enjoy being outside some. When we first arrived here we were sitting on the balcony for breakfast and lunch but NOT lately. We've had plenty of rainy and overcast days in the 50's. That's too cool for my dad to be outside for very long with his diminished circulation.

My friend left yesterday and I was back OP and stayed on it ALL day. Did very well and it made me feel so good. Just 2 more days til my parents arrive. That won't be such a challenge cuz we won't be going out nearly as much. It will just mean that I've someone to talk to all the time. Our outings will be more like walking on the beach and bird watching with an occasional excursion via car.
CANDICE--I like to bake also but haven't done much in years cuz I eat what I make. Christmas is about the only time I bake anymore. I want to do some baking w/my 5 and 7 yr old nieces but then I'll send the goodies home w/them. That will satify my desires in a lot of areas--baking, eating a cookie and being w/my nieces.----I thought I remembered my mom having about 23 pts when she did WW so 9 pts would be a big chunck of the days allotment. Two would put a real damper on your day. Stay out of that cookie jar now!

Sorry I've been missing for so long, but I finally am feeling better, the cold sores are healed, and I think I am really among the living now.
Alice: I guess it is different for everyone, but I don't think we had too much of an adjustment. We used to have some very hot days back in clayton, and no air conditioning for relief. In the summer, you do any outside work in the early morning. You go from air conditioned house, to car to store, and so it goes. We didn't have any problems last summer, and that was the first we didn't go north at all. The summer before when we went, we suffered with heat and humidity for a couple of days. And then the rest of the time I wore a sweater. My DH is much warmer than me, so I think he minds it more, but now there are times he is cold and I am comfortable. So who can say. I don't think you would have a problem adjusting.
Our cruise took us to the Western Carribean. To Grand Cayman, Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico, and Belize City, Belize. Belize had such a wide scope from the very well to do, to the poorest of the poor, and we saw examples of each.
I've been having some computer problems, and after the tech got through with me, I couldn't get my msn address, or hot mail or instant messanger. I can't seem to get it corrected, and tonight I went to msntech and was 128 in line so just couldn't wait that long. Will try again tomorrow. What a pain.
Barb: Hope your screening went well. and happy anniversary, even if it is late.
Candice: your brownies sound yummy, but I'm off sweets until I get rid of the cruise pounds.
See you all later. Ann

Ok..on my way to bed (on my medicine that makes me sleep eat) I made those PB rice krispie bars with choc on top to send to my son and others for a treat and I think I ate way too many...at least a days worth of pts:eek: ...and I still have some ont he counter! No wonder my stomach is upset!
We are getting up to 8 more inches of snow today...didn't make it to the store either...did way too much exercise yesterday so had to rest up abit!

Thank you, Candice, for the ice and snow report. I love hearing them this winter as I gaze out on the surf pounding the beach this morning. We've had some "weather" here lately too. VERY humid yesterday and warm (70) Gulf air was clashing w/the cold front over LA was making it ripe for tornado watches in a couple counties--but not right here. My parents arrived last nite with tales of all the snow Minneapolis has had this winter. The ground was nearly bare when we left on Jan 6 but it has snowed lots since then. No tales of ice storms tho. DS has been blowing the snow on a regular basis. Last snowfall was Tuesday but a small one.
We're just all sitting around today eating breakfast and drinking coffee. The day began with a thundershower and now just looks cloudy. That cold front shud arrive any time now and tomorrow shud be about 50. Just letting my parents get settled in and used to the place before we head off to do any site seeing.
ANN--Glad to hear that you're feeling better and getting back to normal life.

Hi Gang, Still nothing much going on except work related stuff and I cry enought about that. As far as I know the screening went well. They took tons of blood, but I haven't heard anything back from it yet. She said as long as it was okay, I wouldn't hear anything. So no news is good news as they say.
It's been a beautiful sunshiney day day here in Dallas. Temp around the mid 30's. Quite plesant really. I only made it to the health club 3 time this week, so I'm planning to go tomorrow. Saturday is usually my sleep in sorta day, but I need the exercise.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi everyone: I have just been lurking, and trying to get my computer problem solved. Finally I got my instant message back. The tech who was trying to solve my other problem, had me delete something that he shouldn't have. GRRR. So after 4 more attempts with on-line techs then I went back to our Staples tech, which we pay for, and this time he got things straightened out. Boy have I been frustrated, but now at least I can chat with friends and family members, once again.
I don't have much exciting happenings around here. Siwa, tell me how you like the Naval Air Museum. I know you said you were saving that to do when your parents are here.
Now I haave to start working on taxes. Ugh. but it has to be done. Talk to you all another day. Ann

It's done nothing but rain here lately. Been difficult to show people around in this weather. Mardi Gras parades have started but a rainy parade is not my idea of a fun time. We did indoor activities today and prob tomorrow too.
ANN--We've not gone to the air museum yet but it's another good indoor activity for a rainy day. We have to be home before 4/1 to do our taxes. We'll be cutting it a bit short this year. We have to check out of the condo on 3/10 and then we're driving home at a leisurely pace but not TOO leisurely.

Went to the Naval Air Museum yesterday, a nice rainy day activity for a very rainy day. It is a very comprehensive museum. We didn't take the guided tour or the bus tour cuz it would have been too hard for my dad. We just walked around on our own. DH loved it cuz he's really into planes/war/machines. As for me, I'm glad I didn't have to pay an admission. I enjoyed watching a video by the astronauts showing 0 gravity effects.
Today DH is off golfing so we're stuck at home w/no car. It's been drizzly off and on so don't know what kind of conditions DH will find at the golf course. My dad needs a day of doing nothing between outings so this will work out fine for us.

Well what a week. We are trying to get the finishing touches done on the new building so that we can start production next week, and Alvin & Mark have been spending all their time over there, so that has left me to more or less run things at the main building. I hate to make decisions, and my brain feels fried. Also since Alvin will be so involved in the manufacturing end of things, I'm having to learn to do a lot of the things that Alvin has been doing and I'm having to set up procedures, and "systems" of how to do things because they were just second nature to Alvin, but it's all Greek to me. Added to that is the fact that Alvin has just let things stack up because he didn't have time to get to them, and I've had a mess. But I think I'm beginning to get a handle on it, and about to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Other than that, not much is going on. I'm still going to the health club every morning so at least I;m gettting my exercise in.
Hope everything going well with everyone else.

Did nothing today so nothing to write but very willing to read what others have to say.

Barb: You are becoming a 'whirlwind.'
Siwa: Glad you enjoyed parts of the Air Museum. My dh lives breathes eats sleeps, airplanes. He even likes to read sales catalogs of airplanes. So over the years I have had my share of going to air museums, and air shows, etc. The Pensacola one, I have to say I did enjoy. We did take the guided tour, and the guide was very interesting. He was a retired Navy pilot and had some interesting stories to tell.
I may be among the missing now and again, as I'm working on taxes. but it has to be done and dh is not into that at all. The faster I can get it done, the quicker we can get a refund, if we have one coming. Sure hope so.
Hope things are going well with everyone. Talk to you later. Ann

p.s. Read a clever recipe for giving a 'faux' giant hershey kiss. Make the rice krispie treat, and pack it into a funnel, which has been sprayed with non-stick spray. Then wrap them in foil, and when you twist the foil, stick in a Valentine message. And it looks like a giant kiss. Ann

lizzie, what a cute idea for a hershey kiss treat and not al the calories either!
Barb, my mom had to do the same things when she started working with my dad, seems they never got caught up! I saw the snow on the news....I like those wet sticky ones!
Siwa, I would have liked the gravity thing too, sounds like you are having a good visit. Do you miss going to Curves or is there one close there too?
Got the cat to the vet for her shots and then she got sick everywhere! Good thing I had a rug under her carrier. Got her settled at home then went back to town to the craft mall to find sale items, lots of snowmen! Found some Valentine cookeis too! Oh No!!!!!!!!! We had pizza tonight, don't have it very often....so good.....

Barb, your snow made our NH local news Sat. night! They said that Dallas got anywhere from 2"-5" of snow. How much snow did you get?
We were supposed to pass papers on the cottage on March 1st. But, as usual the surveyor has not done what he was supposed to, and hopefully the buyers will sign yet another extension. If it was remotely possible, I would like to treat him this way when it was time to pay his bill. :censored: :bomb:
Hope you're all enjoying your weekend.

BARB--Sounds like you were enjoying the snow. I can understand that because you don't have to look at the stuff for 6 months. I prefer to escape it myself.
CANDICE--I'm walking on the beach or treadmill instead of Curves. I'm looking forward to returning to Curves cuz it will be a good change for my body. There's one a few miles away but I prefer beach walking while I can.
ALICE--I know what you mean about revenge but we nice folks merely talk about doing such things. We would never even think of doing what your surveyor is putting you thru. He is one of many "tests" in your life and it sounds like you'll be passing the test.

Alice...Noone does anything on time anymore! I can since your anger! Maybe you are burning some calories by fuming;) (sp)

CANDICE--Last time I was gone from Curves for an extended time I did not get sore when I returned but..........it felt like all the machines had been tightened. In reality, it was I who had been loose. LOL I expect that it will take a week or so to get back into the swing of Curves.

Yes, snow in Dallas is very unusual. We get ICE almost every year, but snow like this one is very rare. Today I waws tempted to put the top down on my car! That's how carzy the weather can be here! I might add that by the time we got off work at about 2:30 Saturday afternoon, it was mealting and nasty looking, mixed with all the dirt! But Saturday morning was what postcards are made of!

Hi:
Siwa: Are you posting long posts under quick reply or advanced? When I wrote it too long in quick it just stopped allowing me to type any more. I love beach walking too, and it is so good for your feet.
Today we are having gray and misty weather, and getting cooler again but we are told that by the weekend it will warm up again.
Alice: Can't you just pay him half and then let him wait a week or two until you complete the payment? Devious thinker that I am.
Candice: I love pizza too, and once in a while we splurge and go to an all you can eat pizza place called Cici's Pizza. They have every type of pizza you can imagine and some you never thought of, as well as a salad bar, and dessert pizza. Fun now and again.
Got taxes ready for the accountant, I think. That will be the next appointment. Hope we get some money back."D"
Who is going to be brave and start a new thread? See you tomorrow. "wave" Ann

Hello everyone,
Ann, I only wish we could pay him half and keep him waiting, but I'm sure whatever papers we need, we wouldn't get until we paid him the whole amount. I do like that idea though. :s:
Candice, if I was burning calories by fuming I probably should weight 100 lbs. by now.  My best friend, who is also the RE agent trying to sell our cottage is absolutely beside herself, she is so angry.
Siwa, earlier today I heard through the grapevine, that sometime over the spring, CURVES is supposed to open in the next town from where I live. The closest CURVES is a 10 mile drive one way. Walking on the beach is so nice, and I've heard walking on the sand gives you a good workout. When DH & I used to go to Virginia Beach we walked the beach a lot.
Enjoy the rest of your day!
