Jenn, nice to see you popping in. I am the one who lives in the midwest, Kansas to be exact. We are about 11 or 12 miles from Wichita. WTG on you ladies having a GREAT week! :bravo:
Robin, glad to hear it wasn't anything too serious with Zach. Just the mention of the emergency room scares me. I have seen that commercial and when I saw the kid lick the phone I thought that is just disgusting. But then the other kid took the gum and OMG, I died! :yikes: That was even more gross. Do you think kids really do that stuff? I did enjoy going hunting with my son even though we had just had a big snow and we were trudging along in about 4 inches of it. I did get a work-out that week. I was totally exhausted. Now this may sound dumb but I mainly went so he wouldn't have to go alone, I had no intention of killing anything and didn't know how I would react if he had killed one. It kills me to see them dead on the side of the road. I was hoping he would have gotten one. We saw only a few and they were too far away to even attempt to shoot. I did enjoy the days we spent together out in the freezing cold though, we actually had fun. It is something I definitely would do again.
Dip, someone must have had a good time last night! I hope you get rid of that :headache: Enjoy your company and the Colts game today!
I went to mass this morning and then came home, changed clothes and was off to the park for a 3-mile walk. It is actually nice today. The bank clock said it was 48 but the wind isn't blowing to bad and the sun is shining. Other than that nothing much going on in my neck of the woods.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday! See you ladies tomorrow. :)
I forgot, I am posting my weight in my signature and this time I am going to just have to deal with it. It WILL stay there this time, no matter how embarrassed I am.

Hi Everybody!
I'm feeling a little better now but tired. We really had a good time, sang karoke (sp?), and danced like crazy my legs actually hurt today. We grilled steaks with red potatoes and corn from our garden and it was yummy. Everyone is gone except my son and he's vegged in front of the tv. As soon as he leaves, I'm gonna hit the treadmill.
Robin, glad to hear Zach is better. I hate that commercial too, and no I don't think kids really do that stuff. But from raising a boy I know they need to wash their hands more often.
Oh yeah, about you Bambi killers. LOL. When I first moved down to the country, we lived on the edge of a State Park. You would not have believed my horror seeing pickup trucks with dead deer. Also, the gun shooting was new. I had to accept that this is a way of life in the country and the deer was food. I still fear I am going to hit one with my car some day. I have come too close too many times. Funny story: We have a friend who hit a deer with his van and demolished the van. So he leaves the van, gets to a phone, we pick him up and take him home. He gets his mother's Cadillac to go back and get something out of the van, and hits another deer in almost the same place, about 2 hours later, demolishing the Cadillac. One of those funny but not tales.
Cristi - Sorry to hear about that car repair bill, ouch! What was wrong with it? I agree, everything costs so much these days.
Good job on the challege this week, and let's give 'em heck this week! I guess we *did* do just slightly better. I didn't take the last 3 of their reports into consideration, other than the 1 pound gain wiped out the 2 gals who had 1/2 pound losses.
Hope everyone has a nice evening, and I'll *see* you tomorrow!
Best,

Happy Monday Morning!
Last night while thumbing through the Dec. issue of the Oprah Mag, I found this Q&A by Dr. David Katz, Page 158. I hope it will clarify the great scale mystery-
Q - I weigh myself every morning at the exact same time before I have consumed anything. Some days, I'm 2 or 3 pounds heavier than the previous day. Is it possible that I can gain this much weight in one day?
A - The answer depends entirely what you mean by weight. Sure, you can fluctuate by 2 or 3 pounds from day to day, but not because you've gained or lost that much body fat. To gain a pound of fat requires taking in 3,500 to 4,000 calories (and to lose a pound requires a deficit of the same magnatude.) The only way you can put on 3 pounds of fat in one day would be to eat roughly 12,000 more calories than you need which is usually enough food for an entire week. The pounds that appear and disappear so quickly on the scale are due to factors like water weight, which goes up and down constantly depending on how hydrated you are, and the amount of food in your GI tract at any one time. So don't rely on daily weighing. Focus instead on healthy living, and look to the scale only once a month (once a week if you are trying to lose weight) for the occasional reality check.
:?: Even with that advice, I don't know if I can break the daily morning weighing habit, but I'll try. I've known the above about the scale for years, but my AM obsession helps me stay focused each day. It's like a reminder first thing that I have changed my life and not to let the old bad habits creep back in. Same for looking at the smaller clothes and trying on the pantsometer from time to time. These are just external tools that help my internal dialogue to stay focused on what this is for me. When I do the tri-cardio workout, or burn 600 calories on the treadmill, it tells me I am getting healthier and have more stamina. When I increase the weights when I lift, it tells me my muscles are growing and I'm stronger. When I put my groceries up on the check-out belt, and see I have mostly fresh and unprocessed foods, it tells me I'm getting stronger against the wills of the advertising agencies and sugar. And when I show a slight gain on the scale, I know it's either water OR I have taken in too many calories the previous few days. I think using Fitday.com is also the best external tool I use to keep calories, carbs, protein and fat intake in check. Since I eat mostly high-protein, it's especially helpful for watching the fat intake that goes with high-pro naturally. (If you use Fitday, please take the time to customize your food by the labels.)
OK! that said, ahem. Goals for this week are same as they've been-
Stick to workout schedule
Eat Clean and plan food intake on Fitday first thing in the AM
Start and finish at least one household project. I stink at time management, and will make a concerted effort this week to pace myself, and try to get more done. :^:
Did you see Suzanne's new sticky about how many pounds have we shed since joining 3FC? I think to show how much 3FC has been a benefit to us, we should definitely keep that in mind as we go through this challenge to show the 3FC sisters and the world what it means to us. So ladies, start your metabollic engines, and let's lose!
Have a great day! Check back later. . .

Dip, thanks a bunch for posting the info about the scales. I, too am a daily weigher. It will either make or break me for the day. If it is good, I am really motivated to do well that day, too. If it is bad, I sometimes say "what the heck, I have blown it anyway" and fudge that day. Maybe I should try to stop that habit. What do you think? This week I have been up a pound. I don't know why, unless it is all the bad stuff from the previous 2 weeks that is just showing up.
Well, Hi to everyone! Hope your week is starting great!

Robin, I would stay off the scale but for once a week if it were effecting me negatively. Those 1 or 2# gains are more than likely water retention. Same happens with body fat if you eat less than 1200 calories a day and allow your body to go into starvation mode. It will hold on to body fat for energy because it thinks it's not going to be fed properly again. From what I've read, it's about the worst thing you can do to your metabolism.
You may have been deceiving/sabotaging yourself with those small gain days. Just my 2 cents.

Good Evening Ladies.
It sounds like it might be a good thing that I don't have a scale in the house. My bathroom is just to small and there really is no extra space to fit it in. I really don't miss it though. I just run over to visit my parents and weigh myself there.
Dip thankyou so much for directing me to fitday what a great website that is also. You are a great source of information.
Cristi glad that you had a good time with your son. The exercise is just an added bonus.
Robin you are going to be so busy with your new purchases that you probably won't have time to fudge up your days any more. You are doing great and I can't wait when I can have such successful numbers after my name.
Has anyone seen the new mentos gum commercial where the boyfriend is waiting for his girlfriend to dress and he is sitting on the couch with some type of drooly dog and he blows on the dog after he puts the gum in his mouth and the dog starts making out with the guy? It is enough to make anyone sick. Its almost worse than the kids chewing already chewed gum.
Well I must run.
Hope everyone has a great day.

First of all, Thank A Vet. :thanks: And if you are one, or currently serving, Thank You! for your sacrifice and the job you do. Also, thank you to the families of our military for their sacrifices.
Well, we overslept by an hour this morning, but it felt good. Just puts me behind a bit.
Most of what I've learned about this journey has come from the Ladies Who Lift, and their direction to some great articles and books. I'm only passing along what I've learned to be true in my experience. There is so much misinformation out there, you really have to be careful what you take to be true. Everybody's body is unique, so taking the time and patience to test things to see how it works for you is the key.
Kathy, Fitday is a great tool even though it takes a little time to learn, but once you do, it's really helpful. Be careful of the "activities" section if you use it. It can be misleading if you enter activities that you do in a normal day, for example, housework. Extra cardio activity is what burns calories and fat for weight loss. You can also enter your own recipes and get the nutrition value per serving. PM me if you'd like to know how.
Yesterday was a good one for me, with food and work-outs right on target. Last night we went to Staples and bought a computer table for here in the office soon to be the real dining room. I had been searching for a corner unit in oak for a few months now, and at a reasonable  price. I just couldn't wait any longer because I want to get this room done, so settled for something that will do. DH informed me that he wants this computer back upstairs since it's his "engineering computer" and he will install another down here since I only use it for the Internet. My real computer is upstairs, so I won't have to be totally off line while the transition takes place. So my work for today is cut out for me and I am anxious to get this done. I still have files and drawers to go through, but have no real room to sort and throw.
Well, I better get busy and get my cardio out of the way. Check back later, and I hope you all have a healthy day!

Hi Ladies,
I did read that in O Dip. I don't know how you ladies or anyone weighs everyday. It would drive me  I weighed about 3 or 4 times last week and that did it for me. It was like a rollercoaster-too  So I am back to weighing only on Friday.
Dip, WTG on getting your dining room back to being a dining room. I did some cleaning yesterday in the dining room among other places. I am not sure why the dining room table ends up being the hold all room. The table always seems to be covered. So that got cleaned and prettied up for Thanksgiving. A little late but better late than never. About my car (mini-van), it was some type of manifold and a bunch of the fluids needed to be flushed. Although, it was costly, it is running like a new car. About the bambi killers-that story is crazy! That would be horrible to wreck two cars in one night. :yikes: DH hit one a few months ago and while it didn't total his truck, it was over $3000 to get it fixed, not counting the rental car he had to have for a week. Thank goodness for insurance. I too have come close to hitting a few deer, it is scary. I know you are not supposed to swerve to miss them but the thought of hitting one would kill me. Geez, I brake for squirrels!
Cat-too funny! Hope your day gets better.
Kathy, I haven't seen the mentos commercial. They have come out with some funny and gross ones though. There was a time I hated seeing so many commercials but they are getting funny.
Robin, I also love to see a loss and get so frustrated when there is a gain. I got on one day and it said I had gained 4 pounds. :yikes: The next day the 4 pounds were gone-what! One reason I don't get on more than once a week. I know there is NO way I can gain 4 pounds in one day. For some reason though, last week the scales were calling me and this was a first in a while for me weighing so much in a week. So I weighed on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday-and they were all over the place!
Well, my challenge for myself this week is to just work around the house getting organized and work at drinking my water. I didn't get any in yesterday but I am making up for it today. I try to get what I need at least 5 days a week but sometimes it just doesn't happen. Eating and exercising has been good and I am hoping to see a 2 pound loss this week. So, we will see.
Hope EVERYONE is having a great day. TTFN

Hey ladies.
I did not weigh today!:cheer: I did okay, too. I have not exercised today, but I did not overeat.
We brought 2 of our new horses home today, and I am starting to wonder already....what have I done?:stars: They are going to consume a lot of my time (that I already don't have:shrug: ) Oh well, I a hope they will be worth it. We will probably not try to ride them until this weekend. They need time to settle down.
I can tell we are loving the new smilies, today's posts are so animated.
Please send me some good vibes....I am hopefully having a job interview later this week, and am very interested in the job. I have really "had it" with my current one. I am sick of doing everybody's job for them and being their babysitters when they make more money than me. My boss depends on me way too much for the pay I get!:stress:

Hello All

Robin ... here are your vibes. :goodvibes: Good luck for the job interview and getting a new job. Be confident and they will see the super woman that you are, and that they need you in their company. :goodvibes:
And yes those are 4 perfect white socks.
Dip good luck on all the renovating that you are doing. Here is a :wizard: over the wires for you that everything goes smoothly. When do you do you fit your exercise into your schedule. Some "experts" say do it first thing in the morning and others say later in the day. I would just think that any is better than none.
Cristi this mentos one brings on a new low for them. And the real gross factor for me is I know what my dogs breath smells like (even after having his teeth cleaned).
You're husband was really lucky when he hit the deer that he didn't total the truck. We live in town but the deer come right into town so you have to be careful driving because you will hit them here. We often have deer in our front yard around midnight as they are wandering. One day I will have to get some pictures.
Well goodnight to all. Have a super Wednesday.

Hey Buddy Buds!
We overslept again this morning, not getting up til 6:20 a far cry from 5AM! So I'm waaaay behind.
Painting the first half of the diningroom today. There are 2 doorsways, one from the entrance hall and one from the kitchen, so I can get by with painting in 2 sections. I could not believe the dust bunnies that had gathered under the computer desk set-up, just one of those huge pieces of furniture you don't move too often. I had to think - it has been 2 years since I took it all apart and cleaned back there. This dismantling of my office is like a final closure to my real estate career. I don't see it as an end, but as a new beginning.
Kathy, I usually do my cardio in the morning. The latest "expert" I've read said to do it in the morning before meal 1 to burn off fat that's already there, not calories you've eaten that day. It's also helpful in getting it out of the way first thing. Since I don't eat breakfast first thing, this routine works for me because when I'm done, I'm really hungry and appreciate the food more. I lift weights M-W-F, alternating between upper and lower body and always crunches, weighted leg lifts and ball exercises. Dr. Phil comes on at 2PM, so I usally do it at 3PM. I would rather do it in the evening, but don't want to alienate DH. Just to fool my body, next week I'll start doing weights in the AM, and cardio in the PM for a few weeks.
Well, lemme off of here, and I'll be back later when I 'break.' I hate to paint, who doesn't, and I want to get this done while I'm in the mood. Have a great day! HI! to everybody.
Oh yeah, I didn't do any significant cardio yesterday. I got on the treadmill and was pretty sore from the weight work-out the day before, so I got off. Food was on track, though I felt something was 'missing.' By evening I was too pooped.
Robin, Most definite GOOD VIBES :goodvibes for what you desire. Even if this one doesn't work out, there's still something better waiting down the road. How's Zach doing? There you are taking on more responsibility with the new horses, and I'm doing everything I can to shed responsibility. :) It comes with age. :spin:
I haven't seen that Mentos commercial either - maybe it's just in Canada?
Hey Cristi, are you up and running on your new 'puter yet?
Well, after I taped off the woodwork, spackled and sanded, and spackled again, I haven't actually done any painting. I was hoping DH would do the rolling, and I'd do the brush work, but he got home from work later than usual. So we're just sitting around. Well, I'm on the net and he's laying here watching the History Channel. Beside it gave me a chance to use my own computer, scanner, etc. Got a super cardio sesion in this morning, and weight lifting a little after 4:00, made dinner, ate and I'm going to bed early. Swiped the following posted at LWL where it was swiped from another place here at the forum. I love this-
Andy Rooney says, "As I grow in age, I value women who are over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why:
A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night to ask, "What are you thinking?" She doesn't care what you think.
If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do. And it's usually something more interesting.
A woman over 40 knows herself well enough to be assured in who she is,what she is, what she wants and from whom. Few women past the age of 40 give a damn what you might think about her or what she's doing.
Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it.
Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated.
A woman over 40 has the self-assurance to introduce you to her women friends. A younger woman with a man will often ignore even her best friend because she doesn't trust the guy with other women. Women over 40 couldn't care less if you're attracted to her friends because she knows her friends won't betray her.
Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40. They always know.
A woman over 40 looks good wearing bright red lipstick. This is not true of younger women or drag queens. Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart.
Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off you are a jerk if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her.
Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart,well-coiffed hot woman of 40+, there is a bald, paunchy relic in ill fitting pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year-old waitress..
Ladies, I apologize.

Thanks a million for the picture! It is so nice to put a face with the wonderful friend I have in you! The jacket looks great and you truly do deserve it! How is the painting? It sounds like you are a real "handy man" or should I say "handy woman".;)
Kathy, it is very tough to come up with a resume. The last 2 jobs I have had, they came to me, not me to them, so I haven't had to do this in about 15 years. I am nervous, but I truly want this job. My comfort zone (current job) is not very comfortable anymore.
Thanks to all of your for the good vibes on the interview! I am glad I have all of you in my corner!

Robin - Kick you out of the challenge!?!?!?! No way, Jose! You committed, therefore you are stuck with us! And speaking of stuck, that's not too much info, my dear. We're all adults here, and if we can talk about TOM and kids puking, why can't we talk about constipation? You think we don't get plugged up from time to time? :sumo: Now that's a constipated smilie if I ever saw one. So, sweetie, if you have a gain this week, we will certainly understand. Just get it taken care of because it's not healthy and that's all I care about is your health. OK?
Hi Cristi! You might be carrying us tomorrow! Wish I had a flat screen, but as long as the free hardware keeps coming our way, I doubt I'll ever see one. Those flat screen wall tv's are the nuts for sure. Out of my ballpark though, and I wouldn't take out a 2nd mortgage to get one. We've been talking about a DVR, but I'd rather wait until the prices comes down, like all electronics as they become more sophisticated.
The painting ain't doin', at least not today. I did some more spackling and sanding, and said, "screw it." The mood escaped me - maybe tomorrow will be better.
Anyone see Oprah today? The one conscious fear I harbored for many years about losing weight was the skin thing. After seeing that gal's boobs who lost 200#, I freaked. I had flashbacks to my mother's boobs when she hit age 70. She had always been obese but had great boobs. But when she got old, they went south, like to Chile. Now granted, I am blessed with better skin than she had, but I ran for the bathroom, and stood there looking at my boobs. I made the decision then and there if they ever go south like that, I will definitely have plastic surgery, and I *will* mortgage the house, the boat and the dogs if I have to, to pay for it. Other than stretch marks, they really don't look half bad which I attribute to the weight lifting, and they are getting smaller while perkier. OK, THAT's too much information!
Well, just wanted to stop by and see what's happening. I know tomorrow I will fly out of bed, down the stairs, and get on the scale right after I let the dogs out and go to the bathroom. I'm such a good mommy - I make sure they get out to pee before I do. This is me, after a rush of cold air when I open the door for them, doing the peepee dance >>>>>>
*See* you tomorrow!

Just checking in before the evening is over for me. I am pooped but still have a couple of things to get done before bedtime.
Robin, don't worry if you have a gain, hey I am sure we all will from time to time. I can definitely attest to that. Just take care of yourself.
Dip, love the peepee dance! I used to do the same thing, the dog always came first. But now he is old and I am lucky if he comes down the stairs before 10 or 11 am. I try to get him to go before I leave when I have errands but he is impossible. He gets up wants to be rubbed and lay's back down, so lazy.
Hi Jenn, thanks for the good wishes. Good luck with you all on your weigh in tomorrow also.
Hi Blu and Kathy, hope you ladies are fine.
Well, ladies, just wanted to say hi. Take care and see you all tomorrow sometime. I have a busy day ahead and will try to report my weight before heading out. I will be in and out throughout the day. Nighty night ladies.

Hi Everyone:
Just wanted to let you know I am going to be leaving the group. I don't want to mess up your weekly stats. Right now just staying on program is my goal. I know the weight loss will follow. So I am wishing you all well.

Blu! That's a BIG disappointment. We don't want you to leave the group because you have been an anchor for so long. Because the average loss is taken, you can still be in the group, we just won't count your periodic losses for the challenge against the NYC's, BUT PLEASE DON'T LEAVE THE GROUP! It's more important for us to be your support system, dig? Bummer, now I feel like we have failed you. :halfempty
Well, I'm reporting a loss of 1.8#, down to 195.2. I was a little less yesterday, but it's this morning that counts. Just shows to go ya how that scale plays games.
I need to get out early this AM and get the shopping done. Hopefully when I get back, I'll be in the mood to paint. I know once I get going, I'll be OK, but it's just the 'get going.' I'm going to do cardio when I get back because I don't want to get all sweaty before going out into the 25 degree temps. And I'm going to wear my black leather.
Check back, later. Have a safe and healthy day!

Good morning ladies~
Thought I would get in a couple of quick posts before heading out the door. I have actually already been out the door this morning. DD just started a new job today! YIPPEE! I am so proud of her. She is working in an office doing a little bit of accounting, data entry and filing and this is her FIRST job! Now she needs to work on getting her license. Thank god it is just a few miles from where we live so I won't worry about her driving to and fro.
So, I weighed in this morning and I am down 1.5 lbs. I know the other day I thought I had lost some, but to be honest I was figuring 1/2 pound, so good job for me. :cheer:
Dip, WTG on your loss! :cp: :cheer: Enjoy your day in your new leather jacket!
Blu, I totally agree with Dip-we don't want to see ya go! You have been with us from the beginning. I do hope you change your mind as we would hate to see you go. :grouphug:
Hi Robin & Kathy :)
Hope everyone has a great Friday! TTFN ladies :flow2:

Well, I finally came "unplugged" somewhat :cp: . I have good news and bad news....the good new is that I managed to lose the gain by "unplugging". The bad news is that I am still where I was last week. No loss to report for the team. I am really, really suprised that it was not a gain, however. A couple of days ago, I sneaked a peek at the scales and was up 4 lbs.:yikes:
Blu, please don't leave us, please, please, please. Just be here to give us support, and so that we can do the same for you. Please don't abandon us. We love you too much!
Dip, I totally love the constipated smiley. :sumo:
Cristi, congrats to DD on the new job! I hope it works out well for her.:goodvibes
:bravo: to you "losers" this week. That is awesome. I hope to be there with you next week!
I took off again today with DD and took her to the doctor......she has strep throat:sp: :hot: If I don't get the kids well soon, I am going to totally lose my mind. But, every cloud has a silver lining, so.....my pediatrician is the one that I was going to interview with next Wednesday. Since I was there today, we went ahead and talked, so she told me to consider this my interview. She has pretty much narrowed it down to 2 at this point, and I am one of them. :spin: :) Keep you fingers crossed. It will be about 6-8 weeks before the position will actually be open (it is a new position), but I can be patient!
Well, I gotta run. I will check back tomorrow. I hope to have some pictures of the new horses soon. They are doing great and I hope we can saddle them up tomorrow and try them out.
Kathy, where are you? We miss you!

WTG Robin on getting "unplugged" :p That smiley :sumo: does look constipated! Hey, you still did good regardless if you didn't have a loss this week. I will say it as I have said it before, it is just as hard maintaining as it is losing so WTG! :cp: :cheer: Thanks :thanks: for the congrats on DD new job. She did fine today, although she didn't have much to do except help go over some paperwork because their computers crashed 2 days ago. So today was a pretty easy day for her and she liked it. Speaking of jobs~sending you more luck and good vibes in the hopes of you getting that job. :crossed: :lucky: :goodvibes: Can't wait to see photos of your horses-I bet they are beautiful. Boy, you are just having a time with the kids being sick aren't ya? Sorry to hear about DD-I hope she gets to feeling better soon.
I think I am going to turn in early tonight ladies, all this running around has me pooped, I have been up since about 4:15 this morning. :tired:
Hi Dip, Blu, Ledom and Kathy, and anyone else I may have missed.
In case you missed it at the top of the thread ladies-looks like there's going to be some changes to the Buddy Forum-You ladies might want to take a gander (if you haven't already) at the thread to see where we are going to be moved. They are making a new Support Forum. Take a look :mag: ladies. TTFN

Hello Everyone.
Congrats to everyone. We all did so well this week. I am amazed to report that I lost 21 pounds tonight. I was running late tonight and I ran in to weigh myself and I stood on the scale and gasped at the weight (Very Very high) Then it hit me I really am suppose to weigh myself by myself.... so I put the baby down on the floor. :o So I guess that that loss doesn't really count so the actual loss to report for this week is 2 lbs. :dz:
Robin this is almost up there with the grocery incident. I am so glad that you had to go today because you weren't expecting it so you were relaxed and not nervous at all. No that Wednesday would have been different, but now you don't have to worry for 5 days wondering how things will go. :crossed: And Way to go on maintaining.
Cristi that is exactly why I find the commercial so gross. So glad your daughter liked her job. If kids are happy then mom's happy.
Dip I always look foreward to reading what you have to say. You must be the person that everyone flocks around whenever you are out.
Blu I will just repeat what everyone else has said :nono: I am sorry but you can't leave us. We all need to support each other. So please stay.
Robin, Cristi, Dip, Blu, I just want to say thankyou to all you wonderful ladies for all your wonderful posts and support.
 :lucky:
Thankyou
Kathy

okay I do not want to be a burden here. I don't want to cause Chaos on your challenge. Right now I want to really get my program moving again. I was really doing well and had been slacking.
Day 3 is done. I did okay. I counted all points, drank water and got a lot of veggies in.
LUCKY! 21 pounds is great LOL! Glad you did not DROP the baby when you saw that.
Well gotta go.
I did skip the doughnuts in the breakroom this morning. Also when we stopped at Wendy's for DS. I got a diet drink.
I will not sacrfice what I want! I will be on program for a long time.

Hi Gang! Sorry I was MIA today, but this not having a computer on the first floor is a bigger PIA than I thought it would be. One of the 'girls' is in heat, so we have them separate with a gate across the stairs. So to come up, I have to get the boys into the laundry room first. It's a hassle.
Got some painting done this AM, went to lunch with a buddy, and came home in time to go out for supper with DH. As soon as this food settles, I need to get down to the dungeon and lift some weights. Anywho, I'll check back later on when things have calmed down a bit.
Everybody did great this week! The NYC's are looking pretty good too! I think ledom may have forgotten, so I'll PM her real quick.
Check back later and will have some replies.

Ok, I'm back. Robin, so glad to hear you became 'unplugged.' Now, I'm plugged up and I must have got it from you. :sumo: Sorry to hear about the strep - don't know how you do it, girl! Sick kids, DH, job, horsies, house - you are what I deem a Super Woman! The good news is you maintained! :cb: I am so hoping you get the job with your ped. Think positive! and we're all pulling for you.
Kathy, I thought I'd split when I read you lost 21#! But 2 pounds! Woo-hoo! Way to go! :cheer: Be Proud! We had a discussion a few weeks back about how we give up our identity when we get married. I try to have a good time and fun no matter where I'm at, even here at home on the net. However, I've toned it down in public because my husband is quiet and shy. He's never said anything about it, but I felt obligated to take any focus off of me. But the new me says to **** with that - if he'a a wet blanket, that's his problem, not mine. And last Saturday night, I had a fantastic time when we went out. :joker:
Cristi - sorry to hear you had another headache. I'm not big on chiroprators but if he's helping you, then stick with it. You are doing so marvelous with your walking! And I am really excited :twirly: about all those minuses already under your signature. Glad DD got a job, and it sounds like it will be good experience for her. Now, for that license - on one hand you want them to have that independence, and on the other, you're scared to death for them. All part of them growing up and us letting go. Is it harder with a girl than a boy? My friends with girls think it is. I don't know if I could have handled raising a girl.
>>>>enchiladas <<<< OMG, I'm drooling. Can yu come over and cook for me?
Yesterday for supper I did have my pasta and sauce, and it didn't taste as good as I thought it would. The carbs caused me to hold water, and I was so bloated when I got up this morning, I looked like a beach ball. Might as well have just taken an air pump and stuck it in my belly button. So I did a tri-cardio this morning to try and make up for it. And pulled a hamstring. It doesn't appear I'm going to make it down to lift weights tonite, but I will do it first thing in the morning. This is the week I start to do weights in the AM and cardio in the PM, anyway.
Well, I better get downstairs and spend some time with the 'boys' before bed. I feel so bad when they are all seperated, but we don't want the girls to have any more babies. One's too old, and the other 2 are too little (in size), although the one in heat now is the mother of the other tiny one. One of these days, I'm going to take all 3 boys in at one and get them neutered. Maybe after the first of the year.
See you tomorrow and hope you're having a restful and/or fun weekend!

Whew! What a busy day. We had so many people coming and going around here today. We had mother in law from Florida, father in law from Florida (they are divorced):o , and my nephew.
Then came one of DH's co-workers and his wife and 3 kids with their horse:fr: Today was the first day we got to ride our new horses, so I wasn't much of a hostess. The mare that we bought has a wonderful smooth little gait, but she is only green-broke:fr: ,not what I had in mind at all. The "idiot" gelding that Randy bought (you know, the one that hates me), is broke, but oh so stubborn and we can not find his gait at all! What a terribly bumpy ride he is.:stars: Needless to say, they both need a lot of work. Where will I find the time or the courage?
Dip, I am so undeserving of your praise. I have absolutely too much on my plate and tend to not be able to give 100% to any of it. The horses were supposed to be, and hopefully will be, someday, a contribution to family time, togetherness, etc. However, their care takes a lot of time and takes away from other things.:halfempty I feel like a bad Mom, because I don't spend enough time playing with the kids and stuff. We are very close, but that quality time, sitting and playing together is lacking. I know that in the blink of eye they will be grown and will not want Mommy to sit down and color, or play a board game with them and I will be so, so sad because I spent too much of my time, cleaning, doing laundry, caring for the horses, working, etc.:( :( I have cut back on their extra curriculur (sp) activities because that is such overkill. We all kill ourselves trying to assure that they get to do any and everything they desire. No one wins when you spend your life running from school, to soccer, cheerleading, football, softball, etc. I let them choose one thing, and we stick to it. DD chooses softball. Not sure what DS wants to do yet.
Cristi, I go to the chiro also and I finally made him stop popping my neck. I just can't stand it and I am really hard to pop, too. I tend to want to fight the neck popping and have left with headaches that would last for days. Now he sits me up on the table, and uses some kind of mini jackhammer thing on it instead of popping it. It feels really great but I don't think it is as effective.
I dread the day when I have to let my children actually drive, or date, or anything else for that matter. I am a little overprotective and don't know how I will handle them growing up. I might as well face it, it is gonna happen though.
Thank you ladies for being here for me and for all your wonderful support! You help me in all aspects of life, not just weight loss. You gals are truly my best friends.
I have really rambled tonite, huh? :blah: :blah: :blah: Thanks for listening.
Well, I gotta run, it is late.
By the way, I stayed so busy today that I forgot to eat until about 6 pm, and that was just a bowl of cereal. I had to have something very fast, I was beginning to feel :dizzy: I know that is not a good thing to do, but at least I didn't overeat.;)
