Hi. I'm new to the board and fairly new to SBD. My husband and I started about 6 weeks ago and both did real well. Then came vacation in the Smokies, my daughters 12th birthday and then Halloween and now I have a stinking sinus infection and bronchitis. Needless to say I have fallen off the proverbial beach buggy. TODAY...I started Phase 1 again! YES!!! I will be victorious in this fight. We had started to exercise some last week and that will begin also ASAP. If any one would care to buddy up with me and maybe we could keep each other in the positive.

I really love this WOE, I felt really good and have lost at least 1 pant size.

Thanks for letting me speak.

Welcome Chickygirl! I would be happy to be a co-cheerleader. We all have our troubles with motivation. I started on 10/20 and did very well following to the letter then Halloween weekend I cheated BIG TIME (believe it or not it had nothing to do with Halloween candy) and Right away Monday got back OP and have really stuck with it. I am FED UP with being fat and I know this is going to work, because I will make it work. So far I have lost 7 lbs.

Hello Ladies,

I would like to join you all. I started SBD on 9/8/03 & lost about 8 lbs. Then I went on to ph2. And for the last mont & 1/2 had not lost a lb, but also not gained. But then again, I ate candy, pasta, burgers, chips. So all in all I did do well. I stared ph 1 again this past monday, but not doing as well as I should. I really need to start a exercise program.

What type of exercise are you all doing?

Welcome, Patty!
I try to get to the Y about three times a week. I use the weight machines and also do a little cardio to add to the walking I get in during the week.

Hi Patty and all the other welcomers...Thanks. I go to the Y. Our Y was hit by a tornado last Fall and the new and improved opens this weekend. It is going to be very nice. I feel so much better when I do something. Was starting on 15 minutes of bike and then some weight machines specifically for my back. That is where I have the most trouble and also my chiropractor was the one who got me to start this WOE. I was in and out in about 45 minutes tops. My husband and daughter go also so its a family thing but I have no problem going by myself. Our Y also has an aroebic program for seniors and people who suffer from arthritis. Since I am WAY out of shape they said I could do that with them also until I get healthier. Its good just to stretch daily also. Good Luck.....I know I need it with this diet thing. I told my daughter last night all Halloween candy has to go out of the house today!!! That is my true weakness, especially at night.
