Hi everyone! Thought I'd start this new one since it's my age (at least till May)...make sure you catch up on #46 first.

How's everyone doing? It's so great to hear about how we're all moving and exercising! We will get it done in 2001!!! :)

Dianne, no swat jacket for me! I'm a chicken at heart. But it's neat to hear some of the "war" stories the cops tell. I plan on volunteering within my village; who knows, it may lead to a paying job, and a second pension would be nice!

Am waiting for Joe to get home from work; he's going to walk with me.

see you later....

Hi Ladies......how are You's doing???? Thursday night, tomorrow is FRIDAY!! YIPPEE!!! My son turns 21 on Saturday and wants to go to Shreveport to Hollywood Hotel and Casino so that's what we'll do ~ we are leaving straight away after work, getting there around 9pm or so, having dinner and then, at midnight, Chris will legally enter the casino. He's so excited about this....but I'm hoping it's short lived. Wouldn't want him loving it there..... :nono: So after this post, I won't be back until late Saturday night.......

I went to the gym right after work tonight, then came home to Greg having dinner all ready AGAIN.....leftovers but hey, still.....:D

Well, gotta run ~ lots to do tonight to be ready for tomorrow. Have a great Friday and Saturday and I'll talk to you's all on Sunday.

Hello My Friends :)

TGIF!!! Even though I'm off 3 days it always seems to go by so fast.

Jen, are you going to WW meetings? Sometimes I feel like going back but afraid of quitting again. :( The days I could go I don't really care for the leaders. I would go on a Friday morning or Saturday. Doing it on my own gives me a chance to do whatever I want & not worry about weighing in. This is why I'm not getting anywhere. We also have a Sunday morning meeting but I go to church. I'll see. I have to decide on what to do.

My brother is still planning on opening his gym but the building he found, the rent is too high. So now it's back to square one. It's really a BIG DECISION to make.

So how is everybody? Terri, what clicked this time? I know I asked you this once before but I forgot what you said. I see so many successes. Maybe I make the wrong choices of foods. When I have 25 pts. I stay hungry. I mentioned that to a leader once & she said to eat more 0 pt. soup & fruit. Spring is here & I have a party in June, (my brother's 40th birthday) then my nephew's wedding in August, which I wanted to be at least 10 lbs thinner! I can't seem to get it together!!! I never useto be this way. If it wasn't for this site I probably would have gained 10 lbs. by now:eek:

Enough babbling. Have a great day.

Hi Dianne & Myra

Essie,
I'm going to meetings every other week. I had thought that even if I had a bad week, I'd have the next to "fix" it...but it's not working out that way! I also feel as tho it hasn't clicked for me, but am too afraid to give up on this. If I do, I'll gain a lot, I know. So I continue to check in here, start each day fresh, and hope for the best. We WILL do this, Essie.....hang in there with me!

Zoe,
Have FUN celebrating your son's 21st. Let's hope your husband gets lucky again ($$$, I mean!) at the casino. Enjoy!

Have to run...dentist appt.....yuck. I've been having a lot of work done, almost finished, yay!

enjoy this wonderful Friday!

Sorry I haven't been around much. I am overwhelmed with work. I'll be floating in and out infrequently for the next couple of months -- I have a big project that ends in May. But my thoughts are always with you guys.

I gained a little -- .6 -- this week, but I did eat out a lot. I am determined to lose this week. I'll let you know how I do.

I hope all is well.

Hi all

Myra, it's good hearing from you. You were missed. I understand when you're busy how hard it is to read your e-mail, post & try to browse around. It could take up alot of time.

Well I did it AGAIN!!! I rejoined. It felt good to listen to all the people that love this program. My leader was kind of cute too.:o His name is Vito. He has a website which he just started, http://mem2mem.tripod.com He's a comedian. He's a real motivator. I think that's what I needed, a new center with a new leader. I picked a center close to my job so when I can't make it Friday mornings I could run over on my lunchbreak.

Have a nice day everybody ;)

Glad you are back at a convenient meeting (having a leader who's a cutey can't hurt either! LOL! I think being happy with your leader/meeting is key to your success.

Hi guys: Happy Saturday!

Patti/Zoe: Happy Birthday to Chris! Wow, 21 and legal, must feel great for him. Hope he wins some money. My baby girl is turning 18 next month - I can't believe it. She'll be leaving for college and my hubby and I will face that empty nest. We are already talking about what we will do with ourselves. We are gonna take dance lessons, go on a cruise, go away for weekends and not worry about who's home alone. I think we're gonna like this empty nest stuff, LOL!!!

Essie - so glad to hear you found a meeting and leader you like, that is so important. Don't hurt that he's a hunk either, LOL. I'm glad for you. Whatever it takes to get back on track, right.

Hi, Jen, Myra & Terri --hope you guys have a great weekend.

Talk to yous soon.

Hi All!
Happy Birthday to your son Patti. How does it feel now that he is legal? I have so much to learn from y'all since my oldest is 14 (almost 15). Hope you had a great time. :D

Essie,
I am so glad you can find motivation with this man. I love humor. It works for me. Hope you can make that decision soon. What does your family think?
I think what clicked this time was that I am just plain tired. I love how being thinner feels. I don't feel good when I eat certain food. It just happened this time. I know that I have to continue for the rest of my life. There are no more "When I am done" I can eat what I want. Those days are over. I start back right away now. that is cool. I used to do so much damage after a slip up that the guilt consumed me. Now it is back op.
Good luck to you.

Jen,
How is everything going? Hope you enjoyed your walk.
I am proud of you with your volunteering to make your community safer. You go! But be careful.
Keep checking in. You can do it!!!!!

Dianne,
I know how you must feel. I am already wishing Britts didn't have to grow up so fast. It will be 3 short yrs. for me. That is sad. You and your guy will enjoy life and have fun. You deserve it.

Myra,
You will get it off. That is great for eating out so much.

Brittany couldn't weigh in because she and her brother have strep throat.
I went though and lost 3.8 LBS. The difference this week was an additional 4 cups of water a day and more intense exercising at the same time everyday. I did an extra 10 min. everyday then I was doing. I also did a lot of yard work on top of that.
I found out my favorite leader resigned. I would love to know the story of what happened. The one I have now is nice but not nearly as funny or personable. I would have loved to have her see us get to goal. Oh well!
Have a great weekend.
Terri :o)

Terri,
You are awesome! I've said it before, you've been an inspiration to me all along, always positive and encouraging. I'm sorry you've lost your leader, hope the new one will see you through to goal.

Essie,
It's great that you've rejoined. You'll do fine, I have a feeling. :)

Myra,
Sorry to hear you're so swamped with work; but I was happy to see you again. Was wondering if all was ok. Check in when you can...I've missed you. :)

Zoe,
How was the casino? Reaching 21 is a milestone; my kids both loved it. Nothing like making Mom feel older, tho!!

Dianne,
It's great to not have to worry about picking up and leaving without having to worry about anyone else. I know you and your husband will love it.

I'm watching my grandsons from today, Sunday, till Tuesday evening.....if you don't hear from me, send out a search party. My daughter works p/t, has the opportunity to get in some full days this week, and asked if I'd keep them for a couple of days. They live about 30 miles away, so it's a hassle to drop off and pick up the boys on a daily basis. I'm not complaining, you all know that, I just know I'll be done for by Tuesday! :spin:

You flatter me but don't know if I live up to such praise.
:o
Enjoy those sweet things but yes I am sure you will be worn out by Tuesday. REST!!!!

It is my birthday tomorrow. I will be 42. :(
I got a computer. I had the choice between that and a makeover and a few days away. I love this computer. He worked so hard to set it up for me. I still have to get used to it. I have time.
Luv ya,

Brandon (9) fixed me breakfast in bed. That was the best 3 points I have eaten since Britts did that. Soggy cornflakes YUM!!!!! Best I ever ate.

Hello All,
I am fairly new to this site and very new at posting, so thought I'd just jump in and see how you all do this.
I didn't see a place for bio's or anything, so just came straight here.
Can someone direct me in how you guys post in the age groups?
Just open the latest folder by date and post?
Thought I read somewhere that we are suppose to post with the same group each time if possible?
I'm 44, so I guess I fit here if you all have room for one more. :)

Hi Anita. There is always room for more.
Have you been pn WW long?
I am Terri and I am a lifetime member. I have lost 44 since May. I have 3 kids and have been happily married for 18 yrs. and am 42 yrs. old.
This is a great group. Very supportive and the topic is about all different things.
Just come in with the biggest number. I think this one is #47. Yes, it is.
Hope to hear more from you.

Hi Anita! Welcome to the Fabulous Forties. Feel free to tell us a bit about yourself, and post as often as you wish. Our threads are numbered, so the highest numbered one will always be the most current. I believe most people "lurk" about the site till they see what group(s) they're comfortable with, and then try to post on a regular basis. Do what feels best for you. :)

A little bit about myself: I'm 47, from the Chicago area, married with 2 grown kids and 2 grandsons. I recently "retired" from my job and am enjoying being a homemaker.

Terri, sorry to hear you were under the weather for your bday. How was dinner?

Dianne, Myra, Essie, Zoe.....HI !

My sister is on vacation this week, we're having lunch tomorrow. We worked together for 19 years, and now I really miss seeing her.

Welcome Anita. I think you will like our group. We are all very supportive of each other.

I am a 42 year old lifetime member who lost 55 lbs., kept it off for about 7 years and for the last few years has been trying to get it off again (or at least 40 of those lbs.) I look forward to your words of wisdom to help in my efforts.

Hi Anita and welcome, welcome, welcome! We can always squeeze in one more, LOL. I'm a lifetime member of ww who lost 30 lbs. 6 years ago, kept it off for 4 1/2 and then stopped going and gained back 15 lbs. I now have about 12 lbs. (the same 12 unfortunately) to lose to get back to goal. As you know its a daily struggle and everyone here is here to support each other. So, its a great place to come to.

Hey Terri -- sorry you were sick for your birthday, hope you're feeling better now. Enjoy your birthday dinner.

Jen -- did you survive your grandsons? LOL. I bet you had a great time with them but was also happy to say goodbye. That's the good part of grandparenthood -- you can spoil them to death and then turn them back over to their parents, LOL.

Hi Essie -- Having fun at the gym? And how's that hunk of a new ww leader of yours? LOL.

Hi myra and patti/zoe, hope you're both doing well.

I am in the midst of planning with my daughter for 1) her 18th (oh my God!) birthday on 4/13 (Friday the 13th, but its also Good Friday), her prom, her graduation and, last but not least (boo-hoo) her going of to college. Help me Lord! I will get through this won't I? Too many milestones at one time, LOL.

Well, hope you ladies have a great day. Talk to you soon.

Good luck. My middle son's birthday is the Tuesday following your daughter's.

Jen,

YAY Anita!!!! How did it feel getting back to goal? That is wonderful. What will make you keep it off for good this time?
I feel that it is time to take this seriously and I have to watch the rest of my life. These fat cells are here for good. I want to keep them shriveled up.
I think I always felt that all I had to do was get to goal and then I can fall (albeit slowly) back into my habits. NOPE!!! Not this time. I want to enjoy the rest of this life. I am so tired of feeling bad.
Good luck and I know you will keep this off. YAY for Anita. :smoking:

Hi Everybody

Welcome to our group Anita. I'm sure you're going to like it here. My name is Essie & I'll be 47 next month:eek: but I feel like I'm 30. My son is 30 yrs. old. I only had one child (not by choice) now I'm looking forward to grandchildren. I've been happily married for 20 yrs., second time around. I have a 16 yr. old cat & the cutest chihuahua you ever saw. She's 8 yrs. old & very chubby. The Vet said it's in her genes  I've been up & down with WW & other diets as long as I can remember. This board has motivated & supported me all along. This is why I rejoined last week. Way to go with your loss ;)

Terri, I hear you about those fat cells. They just love to hang out. Are you feeling better? I hope so. How's Tanner? He is soooooo adorable. Girlfriend, pat yourself on the back for your loss of 44 lbs.!!!! You know you've been my inspiration

Dianne:lol: I remember those days. Planning for my son's 18th birthday & his graduation & his prom. It went by too fast. Enjoy it all. I was suppose to go to my meeting today but my car is getting repaired. It's funny because you hardly ever see a male leader. Yeah, he is a cutie :D I love the gym. It takes up alot of my time but in the long run it'll be well worth it. It's giving me alot more energy. Now I'm having a hard time sleeping at night!!! I had to take tylenol pm last night. It knocked me out!!!

I don't have a car today so I'll probably be back later, AGAIN. I bought a Power Yoga video. Haven't tried it yet so that's what I'll do & clean. Got to keep busy so I won't pick all day.

Have a great day everybody.

Hello my Buds :D

Oh what a beautiful morning. The birds are singing, it's sunny & I'm going to enjoy every minute of it, even tho it's moving day for my oldest sister. She's moving right across the street from me. She always stays close to me & always says I'm the one that's going to take care of her when she gets older & she's right!

Terri, I want so bad to show you pictures. I have to get one of those digital cameras. You will love my kids  My dog is Susie & my cat is Fluffy. They love eachother. They hang out on my bed:rolleyes: They're indoor pets so they don't smell & never get fleas. Well, Susie did last yr. but I got rid of them right away. My Son & I hear that all the time. Everyone always thinks we're brother & sister. We're going to spend some time together this weekend. I'm looking forward to it. I have a nephew who I'm very close to also. He's 2 yrs. older than David. He's coming by today. He is very funny. Has me laughing all the time. He has this dry sense of humor.

I weighed myself this morning & was down 2 lbs. (my scale) I promised myself I wouldn't weigh myself till I got to WW but I was curious cause I felt bloated this morning. I have to get a cortizone shot Monday:eek: The pain in my elbow has gotten worse so I'm going to go for the shot. It interferes with my workout & I can't take it anymore. I have the tennis elbow with tendonitis, very painful. I'll go to a Monday meeting which will be a different leader :(

Have a great weekend

Essie

Essie,
Your son is so lucky to have such a young Mom. I'll bet he loves it. Sorry to hear about the cortizone shot. When you do get it, it gives you some relief, doesn't it? I used to get them in my heel, had terrible heel pain. The shots are so painful, but they did work. You'll love having your sister across the street. I'm jealous, I'd love to have mine here w/me instead of them being in the city.

Terri,
Hope your dinner was good. How 'bout Survivor? LOL I was verrry happy Jerri's gone! You would have thought the Bears won the SuperBowl (yeah, right!) by the cheering that went on here!

Anita,
Congratulations on reaching goal! That's awesome. I've got a long way to go, lost 30 pounds 2 years ago on WW, and told myself I'd do it on my own from there on.....well, we all know how that turned out! :o Now I'm back, have lost 10 so far, 50 more to go. Like the turtle, slow but sure! The girls here are absolutely the best, you can count on lots of support here.

Dianne, Myra, Zoe.....how are you?

This will be a quiet weekend for us. My daughter's not coming w/the boys, my son will be out most of the weekend. Ahhh. peace and quiet. I've got a test on Monday, plus I've got homework, so that's my exciting plan.

Enjoy!

Good Morning Ladies!!!

I'm finally back online ~ sorry but I've been so lazy since getting back into town last Sunday. And to be quite honest, I have been ashamed to log on since my "diet" and my eating has beeen out of control! So here I am and I've missed Y'all so much! I am afraid to say that I do not have a good report to give on my weight.
recap: gained 5 pounds on vacation, lost 3 the week I came back and gained 2 this past week ~ so, I'm ready to start over.....(brother, I do alot of 'starting overs', don't I????????? :?:....) Anyway, I'm here and so glad to be back. It was a looooooonnnnnnggggg 8 days since I've been here.

Jen ~ no, Greg didn't "get lucky" again ~ $$'s that is.....lost about $200 which is okay since he had won that $2500. I suppose I need to think "he's still ahead", huh? :)

Myra ~ I know what you mean about finding time in your day, being overwhelmed at work. Hope you can find some time to relax girl ~ we're thinking about ya.

Dianne ~ Well, Chris didn't win but he had a GREAT time! As for the "empty nest" thing, I think I'm finally getting used to it but I still wish he was home ~ I miss him.

Terri ~ So sorry I missed your birthday. :( HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!! Hope you had awonderful day and a great time.
How do I feel now that Chris is legal?? The same....ha!! How does he feel??? I really don't know although he was really smiling when we was asked for ID to get into the casino......it was priceless. :)

Essie ~ good going on the gym. I'm still going, 3 times a week at least. I even went while on vacation (3 times) and have been keeping to an average of 2-3 times a week. I have decided to try to work a little harder at it though cuz I need to start 'sweating' more. I gotta get serious with this weight loss. Congrats on losing 2 more pounds!!! :D

Anita ~ Welcome to a great group!! Sorry I was around last week to welcome you when you popped in. It's been a crazy week. Like I said, this is a wonderful group and I know you'll love it here. I'm 45, married mom of 2. My daughter is 25 and lives in FL and my son (you may have read here) just turned 21 and just moved into his own place. We live in TX too. Where in TX are your daughters? I'm in the DFW area. Anyway, post often, we can't wait to know you better. :)

well, today is our company semi annual golf tournament and I need to get ready. Hope y'all have a great Saturday. I will talk to "you's" later.

Love and glad to be back on track,

Essie,
Take care of that elbow you poor thing. I love a good dry sense of humor. I take it the cousins are close. That is great! Hope you had a great time. I can't wait to see those too cuties. Oh yes, I could mean your nephew and son but I really meant the kitty and doggy. I'd like to see all 4. And you and Pete too of course.
Enjoy your sister. Mine is 540 miles away.

Jen,
We screamed so loud we scared Tanner. You would have thought the Steelers won the Super Bowl.
I was completely shocked when he said Jerri. I thought for sure it would be Elisabeth. Here is the order I want to win the Million:
Roger, Elisabeth, Tina, Keith, Nick, Colby and then Amber. She is the one I want off next.
Our dinner was great. I started my friendly TOM yesterday so I skipped weigh-in today. That with my birthday would have been a disaster.

Patti,
Welcome back. Don't worry about the weight. It will come off. I am sure. You had some good times. Enjoy the memories and get back to it without guilt.
I would say yes your hubby is still ahead. That win was wonderful.

Patti/Zoe(so as not to confuse Anita!),
Glad you had a good time. Don't even think that you're alone in starting over again. I've been there a million times! The point is, you're active and will have it off soon. Welcome back.

Terri,
:D My next vote is against Amber also. I'd like to see Roger win, but I don't think it'll happen; Elisabeth is my next choice. Hope poor Tanner didn't get too scared!

Essie, Myra, Dianne, Anita....HI!

I didn't attend a meeting this week, as I'm afraid I've gained. I can't let myself slide backwards, am starting fresh again TODAY. I've planned a light dinner, and am going out to do some yard work after this.

Have a nice Sunday everyone.

Oops, I already posted in #48 folder today.
Guess we're still using this one?
May take me awhile, but I'll get this down, I promise. :)
Had a good day, though hubby is sick with some kind of virus. Already had my go with it, so can only hope it doesn't get me again.
Had an absolutely beautiful day here, hope you all had some sunshine too.
Can't decide if I want to weigh in tomorrow night or not. I am lifetime and it's not my week, but think I'm up a little! Maybe wait a week, hu?
I'll be drinking lots of water WITH lemon before then.
