Weight Loss Surgery - Approved and Date set! 10 days away!!

;) Oh my things started to happen fast today! I called to see where my chart was, and if I had been approved. The doctors office said, no we sent it off on the 17. No reply yet. Then I called the insurance company and they had approved me, and sent a letter already! I called the office back, and wow, we set a date of Nov.10 for surgery! That's like 11 days away. I am so excited, nervous, and apprehensive ! I think I'm shaking!
Now to make plans of who will watch the 3 year old/ ect ect.

So much to do..... shopping, arrangements to make., babysitting, or yeah, WORK, I have so much to do.... in 11 days! That should keep me busy.

my goodness!!! this almost seems like a world record!! and here's my best hint: get some sanitary pads to use instead of gauze for the drainage from the incisions. more absorbent, less messy. and for those of us who are allergic to tape, NO TAPE!!! it sticks to your clothes.

Gosh, it really IS right around the corner!!

I am so happy for all of you having the surgery. My GBS date is November12, Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Ma. It's been a long 2 1/2 year wait, and now it's upon me. I am both excited and jumpy. It's such a ray of sun for me. I weight 285 now, and this time next year I hope to be around 150. I hope to keep you all posted...Peace, Diamonds

congrats to both of you. i got my call to set the appointment, and then the nurse discovered that i NEEDED TO DO A STRESS TEST FIRST. told me to go to my PCP and have them order it. well I went, my PCP won't send me to the stress test until he feels my bp is better controlled. so I am waiting, trying new meds and waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting. but considering Diamondsonwater 2 1/2 year wait, what is another two weeks. Keep up us up to date, both of you!!!!!!!!!!!
