Default Hey guys!

Hi guys,
I see Sylvia started a new thread. OK you are officially BRATTED. Good job.

Glad everyone is doing good, although it is quite around here.

Peggy-Hi yourself and thanks for dropping in to say "Hi". Hope things are going great for you and you renevation is going smoothly too.

Desiree-No baby yet? Man I know you just can't hardly wait too. Hope things are too awkward for you now, moving around ect. . I just loved your "belly picture", you look so cute. But from the look on your face, you are OVER it and wanting to have this little one. I love you cute little duckie shower curtains too. LOL

Sylvia-Is your sister back yet? I know you will be glad when they do, you won't know what to do with yourself. But if I know babies, Nico will fill your time. Wow you are 10 pounds lighter now? How wonderful that is. I know you are anxious to get back to Curves. It will do you good and most importantly get you out with the big kids once again. LOL

So where is everyone now? CJ? Judy? Kim? Jello? Julie too! Come on back and post with us.

Well I better get off here, things to do. Ken is taking me to Las Vegas Sunday for a week. He will be working the SEMA, show for work. Don't ask, something about cars and speed equipment stuff. So I am going along thanks to some frequent flyer miles we have. I was only there once and that was 5 years ago. I have an Aunt living there. My Dad's sister and my favorite, Aunt Carmella. A real Italian like me. LOL I am really close to her and they say I am a lot like here. Whan I was little whe would always have me spend like 2 weeks with her in the summer. Her daughter, my cousin, Sandy from California may be there too. Aunt Carmella is married to Wally, who is from England. Also my son in the Air Force in California, Alan will be coming there for 5 days to spend with us too. We are going to some shows together. Lance Burton, the magician and one called Tony and Tina's wedding, which my SIL, Chrissy saw in Hawaii. It is about an Italian wedding, complete with Lasagna, Ravioli, wedding cake and champaign. We also have to dance and celebrate with them. To songs like the chicken and the hokey pokey ect. Ken is not too thrilled about going to this dinner theater, but he will like it once we are there. I am looking forward to going and will enjoy Vegas. We are not great gamblers so that won't be a problem. We are staying at the Luxor and hope that is a good hotel. Egyptian theme I think. I will post when I get back and let you know how it went. Hope when I get back that we have lots and lots of more postings.

Take care everyone and talk to you later, Love you, Sharon

Isabelle:

I do remember you! Welcome back to the group - of course you are welcome here! We are glad to have you and very flattered indeed that you remember us and thought to come back and post.

Sylvia: OK ... consider yourself double BRATTED! One of these days I'm gonna give you a run for your money on the thread starting! hahaha. Remember when Sharon and I used to race each other all the time?? Your Geno is sure getting big .. time flies doesn't it? Way to go on being 10 lbs lighter than pre-pregnancy. Are you still taking care of your sister's kids, or are you with just Geno now ..

Sharon: Have fun in Vegas! It's been at least 10 yrs since Dick and I went there (used to go every year) but at least I still get to go to the Casinos since there are so many around here now (but still not the same as Vegas). Let's have a nice long talk when you get back, ok?

Desiree: I loved your "belly picture" too ... it's almost time and I can feel your excitement! So you wanted to start the new thread? You gotta be fast around here to do that! lol

Peggy: Glad to see you post - hope all is going well for you ... please don't stay away so long (ha ha - I should talk!)

Well ... we are still up north at our cabin .. will be up here until the end of November. Then home to try and get my house ready for Christmas! I won't be putting up as much decorations this year (I don't think) as I want to start getting stuff packed up so we can put the house up for sale. I have a lot of stuff and will probably have to part with some ... that will be hard. We have finally decided (for sure) on our new house plans and we plan to have the actual plans drawn up in January ... we are actually planning to start building this summer - after we sell the house downstate.

Slyvia: I know you don't want to hear this but ... I do have all my xmas shopping done and 1/2 of them wrapped already! The other half is downstate so have to wait until I get home to finish (drats). I do still have stocking stuffers to get tho - dollar store)! Actually, I already have my xmas list started for 2004 and 1 gift item purchased already for my youngest grandson! hee hee hee.

OK ... got to go. Been in bed most of the morning with some kind of stomach flu or something. Feeling a bit better now tho. HOpe you all have a great day and hope to hear from you all soon.

Love, CJ

HI friends!

Sorry I was gone so long.

Lets see, Hannah was sick (a cold), shared it with me and hubby, I ended up at the dr. with it, on antibiotics, inhaler, etc. AGAIN!!! FINALLY start feeling better, and work seems to pick up again. Then it lightens up and Hannah gets sick again. Just a cold, but this time after 2 or 3 days, a bad cough. The kind where it sounds like the kid is a seal the way she is barking. End up at the dr's with her. Turns out she has a very bad ear infection. Never complained, wasn't fussy, was sleeping decent for being congested, eating good, etc. If itwasn't for the cough, wouldn't of taken her. Spent $30 plus in dr, rx, over counter meds, etc (Thank God for ins.). Now guess who's sick again? Right, she shared with Chad and me again. Can't complain about her not sharing, can I?? Anyway, trying to decide how long I let this cold go before I go to the dr. Every cold I have had for the last year and half I have ended up at the dr's. Seems to always settle in my chest. Well, here's hoping for the best!!

This week has been a real trial for me with Hannah. She has discovered she is tall enough to climb onto the washer/dryer, and the stove. I have tried EVERYTHING to get that girl to stop. Timeouts, standing in the corner, trying to distract attention from it, etc. Nothing was working. In fact she got so frustrated with me telling her "no," and "get down" she stopped what she was doing, put one hand on her hip and pointed to the hall with the other and told me(as plain as could be by the way) "Mommy, go to your room!" I couldn't help but laugh. It was so precious! Now when she is wanting to do something she knows will get her into trouble she will tell you to go to your room, or go to the kitchen. Any room but the one she is in. I sometimes do just to see what she is up to. She is also climbing on tables at pre-school,and the very tall jungle gym playset at daycare. It would not surprise me to get a call from either place saying she has fallen and broken something. I am thinking of trying this indoor climbing thing in Indy that will let one as little as Hannah to climb. See if I can get it out of her system or al least get a hangle on it. One of these days, I'm going to have to call the fire dept. to come get her down out of a tree. Lord knows I couldn't get my butt off the ground anymore to do it myself!

And speaking of my backside, I am staying steady at 191/192ish. I guess that's good. Maybe this is my plataue (I know that has to be spelled wrong). This is still the lightest I've been in years. The last was right after Hannah was born, I dropped down to 188 and stayed at that for a few months until I started that shot for birth control. Before that was when I got married back in '93, I was in he high 180's. Anyway, trying not to be to discouraged, and just being thankful with the way I've been binge eating that I'm not seeing the scales go up instead of staying steady. I hope with work slowing down a little (only got 41 hrs in last week, and the last few ave. 45 instead of 55+) that I will have the energy to get out and walk or something.

Gonna go and try to get some sleep. Talk to you all later,

Love, Kim

Hello Ladies!

I hope you are all doing well. I'm just popping in for a quick hello. I received an e-mail from Desiree...Mary Elise Baker was born on Sunday the 9th, at 9:31am. She was 9 lbs 3 oz and 21.5" long! Mommy andbaby are doing well! CONGRATS DESIREE!!!

I went to the doctor the other day for some blood work and there just happened to be a scale in the room I was in....you know I gave into the temptation to weight myself...I lost 4 pounds since my 10/10/03 appointment. I guess I'm happy about it!

Booger, the baby is crying!

A big hello to everyone!

Sylvia

Well! That was an ordeal. It just took me about 20 minutes to sign on to the chat site. I guess it's my own fault when I don't sign on very often. I will just have to smarten up and sign on more often that I have been.

Dessiree - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That baby is finaly here. Way to go. Send pics...

I finally decided last week that it was time to get with the WW weight loss program again. Soooo, that's just what I did. I have been quite strict with myself and lost 5 lb. last week. Just another 18 to go before Christmas. From where I stand, it really looks insurmountable, but I am determined to do it.

There are 3 other ladies at work that decided to start WW on the same day that I did. We didn't talk to each other about it, just happened to come up at coffee break. What a great support, just outside the door to my office. We have also arranged to go power walking at the track 3 times each week. The campus that we work at has an indoor track, so it is really handy to get to.

Sylvia - Way to go on the weight loss. You need to keep that niece for a while longer...seems to be contributing to keeping the weight loss on the downward trend. However, there is a cost to that with no sleep. Keep up the great work and hope that your life settles down a bit soon.

CJ - You and I must be a very, very lot alike. I finished my Christmas shopping last summer, have most of it wrapped and have several gifts bought for next year. I think I have my daughter's gifts purchased for the next 5 years. I still pick up stocking stuffers - at the dollar store - and will need to make a stocking for our son's girlfriend.

Our son moved back home from Winnipeg and brought his girlfriend with him. The house is full once again, to the point that we haven't got enough room to do anything. But, of course, we are still renovating. We gutted a bedroom/en suite a few weeks ago and will probably be back to painting the drywall this weekend. I will need to lay the ceramic tile in the bathroom after that, then have hubby install the bathroom fixtures. Then the only thing left is carpet in the bedroom, doors, baseboards/ window molding, curtains, refinishing the furniture for the room, installing mirrors, towel holders and toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom and then sitting down for a cup of coffee.

Last weekend I had the brilliant idea that I would make the curtains for the living room. I had some really nice silk that would go very well in the room. I decided that I would take Monday off, so the 4 days would let me make the drapes, upholster cornices for the windows, sew some cushions for the sofas, reupholster the dining room chairs. and perhaps finish some valances and upholstery work in another room.

Well....I never did so much work in all my life. I spent 14 hours each day and I still have about 20 hours of hand sewing on the living room curtains. After that, I will still need to sew in the lining and finish the pleats. But, they really do look nice.

Our son's girlfriend asked me when we were going to start to decorate for Christmas. Well, I said, that would be about the beginning of December. She was a bit surprised, then inquired about how many trees we would be putting up. Well, I said, that would be about 12 or 13 - I've lost count. I also have my puppy pics for Christmas that I will post in December. They turned out really well considering the youngest puppy is still wiggly and out of control.

I think that I have rattled on just about long enough. Time to say good-bye. Have a great weight loss week everyone. Take care.

Hi everyone!

Well, the scale has not been my friend this past week. Up to 195/196. Hopefully just water weight. I quess I'll see Mon. morning. Hannah's climbing phase seems to be over, for now.

Had to go back to the dr. again. Back on another dose of antbiotics, back on the inhaler again. Guess I have some mild lung damage from being sick almost 2 years ago when I was really ill and kept letting it go. The dr. said he wouldn't say I have asthma, but it's a possibility down the road. And that I will probably con't to need the inhalor (which I hate because of the side effects), and probably everytime I get even a mild cold, end up like this. Then, Hannah woke up this morning stuffy and sneezing and coughing, and grouchy all day. Will this ever end?

Well, enough complaining and whining.

Going to go and try to get some sleep.

Kim

P.S. Congrats Desiree on thebaby!!!!
