I had a rough night last night, lots of pain, my dr. gave me these patches for pain and they don't do a darn thing....
I ended up sleeping in the recliner and that really helped me sleep much better. I've noticed that my left gets really numb and burns when I sleep in bed, I'll have to ask the Dr. what that's about.
My husband has been so good to me I just love that man so much

you may want to call the doctor and ask if there is any thing else you can do for the pain as well.
hopefully tonight will be better

Purpleroses,
I am glad that to here that your surgery went well :) Things will get better, really they will :)
On our program they have a liquid pain medicine that they start you on the second day after surgery. It tastes really really bad, no sugar at all so it is bitter, but it is very effective. I used it during the day and night during the first few days home and then just at night. Two weeks post op I haven't taken anything in about a week.
I hope that you feel better, hang in there.
