Just checking in to say hello! I used to frequent these boards along time ago when I was on WW. So much has happened since I left.
Long story short, I started my weight loss journey at 275 pds from 2 pregnancies in a row. I lost 95 pds on WW. Started my divorce and lost it, got depressed and gained 30 back. UGH. My dr put me on medication and when I wanted off of the meds, she put me on Atkins.
I did Atkins (not faithfully) for 6 months. I lost 15 pds but I started getting sick of meat, could not look at it and wanted bread/carbs/sweets all the time. So I jumped ship at the beginning of August and went hog wild eating all of my old favorites again.......which unfortunatly I have to say I have put that 15 back on.
I tried to go back to WW recently and found that I could'nt. I starve all the time. The thought of straight Atkins permanently makes me nauseaus. So I decided to give this plan a try because it's kind of like a cross between the two.
I'm on phase I day 2 and so far I feel great. I'm also drinking tea with yerba mate' in it 3x's a day and it is really curbing my carb/sweet cravings...I don't even miss it. I've also noticed that my appetite has diminished somewhat to from drinking the tea....yeah!!!
Anyway, this was supposed to be short lol and I've written a novel. I'll be checking in frequently though!!!
