Weight Loss Support - WEEK-AT-A-TIME CHALLENGE #5 -- for week starting Oct. 13

10-12-2003, 10:04 PM
Hello, everyone, this is PART V of the One-week-at-a-time challenge. This is a challenge in the spirit of the 21-Day challenge, which I'm still continuing as well but. . .

I wanted something else, something short and sweet, where I can buckle down and go all out on and yet still come up for air before I burn out. So, I want to start up a ONE-WEEK CHALLENGE. :sunny: Here, we'll look at the week as a whole, which also means we have room for slipups and unexpected evenings out, or whatever.

So, unlike the 21-dayer where you commit to doing something every, single day for 21 days straight or have to go back to START and count over the One-Week-at-a-Time challenge is going to be about things like saying; I will go to the gym 3x this week, or I keep my calories to a total of 14,000 for the week, or I will not eat anything after 6 p.m. 3x this week. So, if you want to eat 14,000 calories one day and fast for the next 6 fine! Or, you can go to the gym three days straight and then flop back and do absolutely zilch for the next four.

This way of attacking things will allow you to customize your challenge to suit yourself, allow for tortoise types and hare types to do their own thing AND means that getting back after after a fall doesn't mean you've lost any ground at all. It'll inspire that crucial element of success -- the POWER TO PERSIST!! I think it'll be a great motivator and great source of empowerment!! :encore:

SO, come on!! If you're interested please jump aboard and tell us your plan for the week and then keep us posted with progress reports and tell us when your goal is accomplished, be it early in the week or at the end. I'll do this starting Monday and wrapping up Sunday night of each week.

Hope to see you! PLEASE, join me!

10-12-2003, 10:05 PM
This space is reserved for our challengers. I'll write your names and challenges here and the date you've completed your challenge for the week and update it as we go along. I'm going to start a new thread each week but carry this data over so you can see how many challenges you've done.

10-12-2003, 11:13 PM
My goal this week is to stay O/P all week. Small and simple this week. Just for the record, I did succeed in all of my one week at a time challenges this past week. :) Yay!

10-13-2003, 12:03 AM
My goals for this week are simple as well.... Yoga 5 times, No eating after 7 everyday, and iron horse everyday. I am upping my iron horse to 10 reps of 20 twice a day as well.... Have a great week eveyone...!!
Lisa... hope u feel better soon....

Sandy:flow1:

10-13-2003, 12:09 AM
My goals for this week is crunches again. I want to do 100 crunches 3/4x this week. Only concentrate on one thing. I did succeed on this weeks challenge too.

Good luck to us all!!

10-13-2003, 04:13 AM
My goal this week will be to do aerobic exercises 3/4 times this week. Drink a lot of water, and do some free weights the days i dont' do aerobic exercises

10-13-2003, 06:03 AM
I'm new to this challenge but i'm starting a low carb plan and need some incentive. My goal will be simple this week, to do exercise 5 days (any exercise). The exercise is always the hard part of the equation for me. especially after working 10 hours each day (i'm hoping it's only temporary).

10-13-2003, 09:52 AM
Well, I will still keep my duel cardio goal of 4 times this week and my pilates/abs for 5 times this week.

I will have to go back and check my goals for last week to see what I had said, but I think I failed because on Saturday, I was taking care of a sick daughter and didn't do any exercise at all. :-( Does housework count? Hahaha.. anyway... Good Luck everyone hope this is a great week for us all!

10-13-2003, 11:05 AM
Yes housework counts as exercise!! Your working just not out...LOL But I count it as exercise... if u work up a sweat and get your body moving u r exercising...

My goals for this week are:

1. Cardio 3-4x
2. Weights 2-3x
3. No sweets

Welcome no_way_but_up!

Have a wonderful day!

10-13-2003, 01:18 PM
My workout goal is to push myself a bit further areobically this week. [Did I mention I love my new treadmill?!!!]
My food goal is to faithfully count calories and keep it at or below 1500 this week.

I'm feeling really good about this week----for all of us!:D

10-13-2003, 01:41 PM
OK...I had such a busy weekend I never got to check in at all, and I been busy all morning with work.

Anyhow, I did meet my mile walk 3 times last week. (YAY) This week I want to do it four times and I want to drink a minimum of 64 ounces of water each day. I used to drink water and only water, but for some odd reason I quit and started drinking more Pepsi again. I want to start getting back to 80 ounces, but I know if I start with that, I'll spend the whole day int he restroom...LOL

So...that's it. Walk one mile 4 times this week and drink 64 ounces of water per day.

Grats to everyone who met last weeks challenges and good luck to everyone this week.

10-13-2003, 01:45 PM
I really enjoyed the challenge I participated in, even though I wimped out last week.
So for next week, here are my challenges:
1. Drink at least 48 oz of water
2. swim at least .25 mile of laps at least 3 times this week
3. Eat O/P, which will be for this week, no white bread, sweet desserts, at least 3 servings of fruits or vegetables, reasonable portions

10-13-2003, 06:51 PM
Last week I made my goals and I think I will again try to do:
1. Total Gym 3x week
2. Make healthy lunch for work 4 out of 5 days
and add this:
3. No sweets this week

Good Luck to everyone!

10-13-2003, 08:28 PM
I had a good Monday! Walked 4 miles on the treadmill, did 30 minutes of strngth training and 100 crunches.

Faithfully counted calories today and ended the day ay ay 1180 calories, and I'm stuffed! Lots of food. I normally end the day at 1500 or a little over.

Already have my food planned out for tomorrow too. It's always interesting to see if my plan matches the reality!

10-13-2003, 10:45 PM
Hello Ladies!! Just finshed my last set on the iron horse... did my yoga and stayed under calories... i lowered them to 1600... i want to see how it goes. Hope everyone has/had/is having and successfull day! LOL Take care of U

10-13-2003, 11:56 PM
Hello ladies-

I just finished doing my crunches. And I'm sore!! Felt good to do them though.

I look at everyones goals this week and I feel like a wimp!! I'm only concentrating on one goal while most of you have two or three!! Maybe next week I'll add.

Anyway... day one a success!!

Take care ladies

10-14-2003, 06:05 AM
hey all,
just checking in. yesterday i rode my stationary bike for 25 minutes before going to bed. Today i want to get some weights in.

10-14-2003, 10:08 AM
Good Morning Ladies!

Well, yesterday was a good day. I did my duel cardio, and got my pilates in. I am back in the ballgame now! :-) This morning, I have already done my pilates, and have my clothes to change into for this afternoon to go work out!!!

no way but up... WTG on the bike riding!! Hope you get the weight session in today!

Sandy.. GREAT JOB!!! You are working so hard!

Eydie You get a GREAT JOB too!!! And I am sure you will stick to your plan!! Always easier that way instead of winging it!

Marti.... you are a powerhouse girl!! Keep it up .. you are gonna have that flat sexy tummy soon!

Hi Shelldawn, Kristasmom, Butterfly and Allthatjazz

Good Luck this week!

Ok.. time to go back to work! Take care!

10-14-2003, 10:59 AM
:( How do you keep on track for the rest of the week when you've already failed your goal so early?

I didn't get all my water in yesterday...in fact, I barely got ANY water in yesterday. I was so dang busy I just didn't think about it. So, I guess I will just do my best to drink drink and drink the rest of the week and get my walks in despite not meeting my complete goal. Maybe I can at least work my way up and get used to water again and get off of soft drinks. Anyhow, just me checking in.

:goodvibes to everyone working hard this week.

Hiya Marti and Cherie (sorry, those are the two names sticking out in my mind right now) and a big big howdy to everyone else. I'm lousy with names...hehehe...I'll have to add a new one each week...hehehe

Went to the gym this morning and did 40 minutes on the elliptical. We didn't get there until 5:30, so I couldn't do any weights. We're going to try to start being there at 5.

Everyone seems to be starting the week off great. Have a great day!

10-14-2003, 11:35 AM
Just the fact that you are trying is sucess! What do you do during the day?? I work in an office, and I keep one of those big cooler glasses filled with ice water, and I drink on it all day long. I got myself off the cokes and now I limit myself to about one a week. It's very very tough, I know.. but you can do it. I am lucky because I love water, but I do understand if you don't what an adjustment that can be. I have read several articles about water and what it does for you, and that made me a bigger believer in getting as much in as possible... if I come across them, I will post them here and maybe it will inspire you too!!

Anyway.. just wanted to say keep up the great work, and keep trying! You can do it!

10-14-2003, 11:36 AM
Good Morning ladies-

I've already done my crunches. I took a look at my gut and thought "There is so much work we gotta do, that I'm going to work you overtime!!" Yeah, I talk to myself!!:D

Shelldawn- You haven't failed at all! It's only Tuesday and you put down that you plan on getting four days in of walking. The water..... I think you should maybe try concentrating on one thing at a time. Make it easier for you and then the next week, add something on. Water is difficult, which is why I made that my 21 day challenge awhile ago. So don't feel bad... just restate your challenge for this week and start slow.... you're doing fine!! So far you've got one day of walking in right?? Let's stick with that... and if you get water in too... a bonus for ya!!

S-fly- (I keep shortening that name...sorry, do you have another name I can call you?:s: ) You're doing great! Already been to the gym!! Is it already crowded when you got there? I find it amazing who shows up at the gym at different time of the day,, the gym that I went to, around 10-11am was the elderly group, which is when I went at the time. I knew I would always get a machine to work on, plus they truly inpired me!! If they could be doing this, then darn it , so can I!!

Cherie- You're doing fantastic. All you needed was a days rest! Duel cardio---- I'm tired already for ya!!:p

No-way--great time spent on the bike!! With the weather still good, I should grab my bike and just go!!!

Sandy- Iron horse....I'm still trying to picture what that is. But I'm glad you're getting use of it. I think it's time for me to haul out the Total Gym out of my closet. You girls are all inpiraring (how do you spell that!!??) me to do more excercise!!

Eydie- 100 crunches plus more!!! I can only get in my crunches..:(
but I guess if I put more effort into it I could do more. Just need to get used to doing anything!! Great job girlie!!

Hello to Allthatjazz, Lisa & Kristasmom and Redballoon-where ever you are!!

Well, I best be getting ready for school.
You all have a great Tuesday!!

10-14-2003, 11:40 AM
Thanks Cherie

I work in a University as a glorified secretary (I got a kewl fancy title that makes me sound real important...hehehe). I used to drink water ALL the time. I rarely ever drank soda, until about 4 or 5 months ago. I got sick and water is nausiating, so I had to start drinking white soda like sprite or something. Well, from there I started drinking Pepsi again and now I hardly drink water. It's not that I don't like drinking water, I just started likeing drinking Pepsi again...hehehe. Sooo now I got to get back on track where I was. I'd love to see the articles you had. I've read a few things about the bennifits of water and what it can do for you, but I think you're right. It could be very inspiring. Anyhow...thanks for the support.

10-14-2003, 11:42 AM
Oops...you posted just as I was typing Marti. Thanks for the encouragment. It's much appreciated. I guess maybe since I used to drink so much water I thought maybe I could hop back into the old habit...it's alot harder than I thought...hehehe.

Thanks again

Shelldawn - it takes me a while to get used to water again. Have you tried Propel water? I realllly love that stuff. Try making yourself a deal like drinking an ounce of water for every ounce of soda you drink. Then just up it to like 2oz of water for ever ounce of soda.

MNJ - I love the variations that you come up with. Most people just put down SB. Great job on the crunches.

10-14-2003, 11:56 AM
Hello Beautifuls... U are all so very encouraging... i love u all! Marti... i will try to describe the iron horse...lol u sit on it... and put your feet on pedal likethings.. then u grab the handle bars and push with your feet and pull with your arms. Does that help any??? LOL WTG CHERIE!!!!! i noticed you have lost weight in your signature... good for u... u have inspired me to exercise... u got me started on this exercise road.. and i will say that i think i am addicted...LOL i couldnt go thru the weekend without it... lol thats a biggie for me!! Shell, just start over today... today is a new day and just go from there. We all do it... SBF... well done on the gym... thats something i have never been able to do... dont like that gym atmosphere i guess... but U GO GIRL!! I agree with u too on the propel... i love it... and its nice to vary from just h2o... try it shell... u will like it and it comes in all different flavors! NWBU... great job on the bike... slow and sure wins the race... thats what i keep telling myself... just stick with it and u will feel better and better... If theres anyone i missed i apologize... take care of U today...

10-14-2003, 12:06 PM
I don't think I have heard of Propel. Is it a water? Flavored water? Is it hard to find?

I'm doing good on my water today. I'm about halfway through my 48 ounce cup I keep on my desk. YAY! :)

10-14-2003, 12:18 PM
Hiya shelldawn! We can be Tuesday - Sundayer's this week if you want. I lost my challenge already this week too. I guess all that bloating the day before yesterday finally passed and left me starving, so I ended up going over my calorie allotment yesterday and still felt yucky. I was weak and tired and dry mouth all day. I think I had a bug. I couldn't stay out of the bathroom. Today I am putting myself on a liquid diet to give myself a jump start back onto program. So if you want we can just pick up from here and keep going? It was just a bump in the road, not a complete detour right!? :) So my goal for this Tuesday-Sunday mini week is to stay O/P. How about you shell??

Hi everyone and sorry I wasn't around much, but most of my time was spent bonding with the bathroom if ya know what I mean.

10-14-2003, 12:25 PM
Awe Lisa :( I do hope you are feeling better.

Sounds like a plan. I think I should maybe keep it to one of my 48 ounce glasses of water per day to start. I think 64 was aiming a little higher than I could handle. I sit at this desk for 8 hours...surely I can get down one of these cups of water. And I also want to walk 3 more times this week. So...lets see if the weather cooperates. I have a treadmill but the dang thing don't work right, so I can't use it til I get it looked at and fixed. I'm hoping to do that before winter, but we shall see.

Anyhow, feel better Lisa and thanks for the help.

Shell - Propel is fitness water. It has about 10cals a serving. It is made by Gatorade. I usually buy it from the gas station or the grocery store.

10-14-2003, 01:20 PM
I'll look for it.

10-14-2003, 05:46 PM
Just passing thru....:)

Another day of good food choices. Pre-planning helps so much. I'm happy to say that i was up at 5:00 this AM doing a pilates video. I love it when I can make that happen! Pushed myself on the treadmill this afternoon; got a good sweat going. Bad news is I'll have to do more laundry!

Keep going, Friends!!!

10-15-2003, 12:14 AM
Halfway through my duel cardio goal!!! Had another good day of exercise.. sure wish the scale would agree with me however!

Eydie.. you are doing GREAT!!!!! And I hear ya on the laundry.... all this exercise is making me change too many times! And you are right about preplanning. That is my LIFE right now. IF I don't plan, the I plan to fail. So I try to plan everything!

Lisa... sorry you were ill... hope you feel better soon! :) (((((hugs)))))

Shelldawn.. you can do it. I sit at my desk 8 hours a day too.. and when I drink alot of water, it gives me an excuse to get up away from my desk and walk to the restroom.. so I get a little bit more exercise in everyday!

Sandy thanks!! However, I have been at a plateau for the past week.. I actually was at 140.5 last Tuesday.. went down a half a pound, went up a pound and then another.. and as of today, I am back down to 140.50. Sucks. Hahaha.. but I will keep working out and I just know it will start to go down again!

Marti.. WTG on the crunches.... You know.. I am doing an abs video, don't laugh, but it's Claudia Sheiffer, and at the end of the 27 minute video, they say, you have just done 180 crunches... and that makes me feel SOOOOOOOOOOO tired. :-) Luckily I get to rest inbetween sets.. cause I couldn't do them all in a row!!

Ok ladies.... talk to you tomorrow! :-) I am tired and going to bed!

10-15-2003, 09:41 AM
Good Morning Ladies!! Good Luck today! I have already done my pilates this morning, and had breakfast so things are off to a good start. I'm on this plateau that I can't seem to break through (over a week now) but I have confidence that I will see some progress by the end of the week!!!!

Everyone have a great day!!!!

Southern Butterfly
10-15-2003, 11:13 AM
I did 30min on the treadmill and 30min of weight lifting. I had a bad breakfast, but I'm just going to make up for it by eating less at lunch and dinner.

Photogirl - don't worry, you'll break the plateau. Your body is probably just adjusting to the new weight before it starts going down again.

Eydie - you're doing great with the exercise!!

10-15-2003, 05:38 PM
Hi all! Just popping in to say I made my walking goal last week, but didn't make the vegan goal. Screwed up early on. :( Ah, well. I'm doing better now. Goal for this week (retroactively starting Monday): eat three vegan days.

Good to see you all again!

10-15-2003, 07:50 PM
I love this thread---it's so positive and focused!

I have news: I'm suddenly down to 141 pounds. I can't remember the last time I was down this low. Can't let up now. NO SELF-SABOTAGE!

10-15-2003, 09:27 PM
Another day down... will do my duel cardio tonight when the girls go to bed. Hehehe.. I just realized I posted that on the 21 day challenge... well, I completed day 5 with no chocolate and I've done my exercise.. so that was a good day too! Just have to finish up over here! :-)

Eydie... WTG!!!! You are doing great!!! YOU CAN keep it up... and keep losing!!!!

Aqua... you are still doing great!!!! Not sure if I can handle doing vegan days... so you are much stronger than me!

Butterfly.. thanks.. I have a good feeling about tomorrow! You keep going strong! Doing great!

Hi Shell, Lisa and Sandy!! Hope you all are doing fine!!

Ok.. time to get my girls out of the tub and into bed.

10-16-2003, 12:13 AM
Hi there girls-

I didn't do crunches today... I needed to study for an exam I have tomorrow.... but I will get two more days in this week. I WILL NOT FAIL!!
Just wanted to quickly post and say we're all doing fantastic.!!

Take Care

10-16-2003, 07:28 AM
Morning Everyone!

I stayed O/P all day yesterday!

YAY Eydie!!!! :cp: :cb: You must feel so good right now!! I can't wait until I can say something like that. You are an inspiration !

Hi Cherie and MNJ it sounds like you're both doing great, keep it up!

It sounds like everyone is going fantastic, yay for us!!! :cp:

Stay focused,

10-16-2003, 07:33 AM
Good Morning! Managed to get up early and did a 30 min. bellydance video at 5:30 AM. I love that! Really sets the tone for the day. I feel more resolved now--I need it 'cause I'm going to serve a reception today.

Think healthy thoughts, everybody!:D

10-16-2003, 09:42 AM
Good Luck today Eydie... what a job you have!! I would be so tempted, you have to be proud of yourself for the willpower and determination you have!!!

I didn't do my pilates this morning, however, I will get in that video or my abs video this evening so I won't screw up my challenge for this week!! I was just so tired and cold, and didn't want to get up this morning!!! Oh well.. not really a good excuse... but Hey... we all need a small break every now and then!

I hope everyone has a great day.. I have training all day so I will check in tonight! Take care!

10-16-2003, 09:44 AM
Good Morning Ladies... yesterday was successful. Yoga and both sets of iron horse. Not eating after 7pm is no longer an issue. I just dont do it. LOL i am looking forward to getting on the scale this Friday. My body 'feels' good... stronger... more fit and toned. I have a way to go, but i like how i am feeling... especially on the inside. Its very empowering.... Take care of u today ladies...

Love and laughter,

10-16-2003, 10:06 AM
OK...this week is just going down the tubes. While I have managed to get more water in me the rest of the week...I haven't hardly walked at all. Yesterday I got hit with a migraine, tonight I have to go to town, everything else that could happen has happened the rest of the week...lol I feel there is a force working against me this week. Oh well. I'll get through this one and start fresh next week. Hopefully it won't be so crazy around here.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day :)

I did 35min on the treadmill this morning. We're going back to the gym tonight for their new member orientation, so I'll probably do more cardio plus some weights. We'll see.

I received my bellydance and pilates tapes in yesterday. I really wanted to try them, but by the time I got home it was 9:15, and I had an awful headache. I can't wait to try them. Hopefully I'll find time after midterms.

10-16-2003, 11:41 AM

SB, new member orientation at your gym... wow, talk about a way to stay motivated. It's great that your gym is so personal. Kind of takes the anonymous grinding at machines aspect out of it. :)

Shelly, I know you can make it through this week. Do the best you can. Think about a new week starting today. Between today and next Thursday, you can accomplish a lot.

Sandy, woo-hoo! You've established a new habit. :D Doesn't it feel good to KNOW that you can keep not eating after 7pm? It's like you KNOW you're strong enough to do it, so you don't stress anymore. I'm jealous of that feeling! Got there with vegetarianism, now I have to get there with veganism.

Cherie, eh, cold days are hard. The blankets are so warm... mm... tempting to stay in bed... And I am NOT all that strong! I totally fell off the bandwagon last week and the first half of this week. Oh well, I think true strength is continuing to work at it rather than giving up. But thanks for your kind words. :D

Eydie, wow, 141, what's the view like from down there?

Lisa, another OP day down. Good for you.

Marti, two more days, two more days... you can do it! Maybe you can crunch at the computer... you know, rock back and forth a little?

Vegan day yesterday. :D Although I'm not quite sure it was a success. I ate three vegan muffins! :o They're just impossibly delicious. You don't get much fatty sweet food on a vegan diet, guess my body was just craving it. Ah well. I counted calories at the end of the day and topped out at about 1500. Not too bad. I keep telling myself the muffins were small.

Shold be a vegan day today. I will be thinking about you all at about 3pm. That is when I start getting hungry for dinner. Sitting at work, working away, thinking about how it will be great to get home and relax with some food and my husband. Hm, I wonder if that could be emotional eating, huh? In the past these feelings make me rush home and beg DH to go out to dinner, or order pizza, or something non-vegan, non-healthy, and non-beneficial like that. I'll think of you all tonight and refrain from breaking down. :s:

OK, everyone have a good day.

10-16-2003, 11:50 AM
Good morning ladies-

Got up and already got the crunches in this morning. Felt bad that I didn't do them last night... but that's ok, made up for it today. Will try to do some more tonight, depending on the homwork load!! Getting things done first thing in the morning is pretty nice. Get's your day started!!
I was talking to my sweetie and he told me that he heard pilates were good. Some friend of his knew someone who was way out of shape and he hadn't seen them for 6mos. or so.... and when he saw them again,,, he was like "wow, you look so good!" That's what I want!!
Soooo Cherie----
Are you noticing a difference since you've started doing pilates? And how does it differ from yoga? I heard they are very similar.
I told James that I wanted to get something on tape for the winter time... he could get it and stick in my christmas stocking!! So I'm looking around and seeing what appeals to my eye and pilates is one of them.

Ok... must finish getting ready for school. Exam day!! Let's hope I do well!!!

Hello to all my girl "friends" here on this thread!! I couldn't do this without you!! You are all my inpiration!!

Take Care

10-16-2003, 09:33 PM
Hi all! Passing through and catching up on everyone. I am so inspired by this group. Wish I could say I am 100% on target, but I have let stress get in the way of passing on sweets this week. I always go straight for the chocolate, when I need to turn to something like oh, exercise, lol. I am doing ok on the rest of my weekly challenge.

10-16-2003, 11:44 PM
Yeah me!!! Tonight was night four out of four of duel cardio days! It is also day 4 of doing my pilates! Now I feel tired.. but Great! :)

Allthatjazz... I understand about the stress.. it's been very hard on me not to have chocolate... good luck with the rest of your challenge..

Marti.. WTG on the crunches.. and on the pilates... I have a Windsor Advanced Slimming one that is 19 minutes that I do first thing in the morning. I love it because it just sets the mood for the rest of the day. I get a good stretch in and I feel like I have accomplished something for the day. In the evenings, I've been alternating between my Abs video and the Pilates for Dummies. That is a great one too, a little longer, 28 minutes. I think that it is helping my flexiblity some and toning a little.... but I am doing so much other stuff, I can't tell you exactly what pilates by itself is doing for me, I just love how it makes me feel. I haven't done yoga, so I can't tell you the difference.

Aqua.. hope your vegan day was a successful one! You are doing great!

Butterfly did you get the chance to view your new tapes??? Tell us how you liked them!!!

Shelldawn you are doing great by focusing on the water.... small steps.. every little one counts!!! Keep up the great work!

Sandy good luck with the scale tomorrow!!! And I am with you about not eating after 7. I just don't do it. Gives my body about 4 hours before I go to bed to burn it off, so I feel that is helping me with this weight loss.

Ok... time for me to go to bed... hope you all have a great day tomorrow!!!

*Imagines a long, svelte Cherie looking very graceful doing her pilates* :p And good for you for completing the four days.

Vegan day went well yesterday. The past week: (I go Sat-Fri for weigh-in purposes) 4 days vegan, 3 days veggie. Looks like I'm out of my slump. :D Lost half a pound.

OK, one more vegan day and I'll have made this week's challenge. :)

Hahahahahahahahaha Aqua!!! Good thing I wasn't eating my morning cereal or I would have spit it out onto my screen! Long and svelte??? What a wonderful dream!!!! :) I am 5 foot 2 inches... so I am anything but long.... and lean... maybe after I get the next 20 to 25 pounds off then you can see my muscles instead of the jiggly fat on top of it! :-) but Thanks! That made me smile!

I did do my pilates this morning.. and feel good.... I plan on having a really good day, with my eating and exercise. Tonight is my pizza night with my girls.. so I will do my weekly splurge. And have my one diet coke for the week!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!! Going to be nice here in Oklahoma.. so I will try to get outside with my girlies... talk to you all soon!

Made it thru the reception yesterday. I always get out there and socialize so I had to eat something. I'd made a beautiful veg. tray with a nice herb-y fat-free dip, so I just had some of that. Had lots of other high-fat stuff and sweets but I passed on those. It really helps me to have a calorie limit, I want to 'spend' my calories on good-for-me foods. Oh believe me, there was a time when I had no control....... :(

Sandy, I stop eating at 7:30 at the latest. I think it's really helped. Of course, some nights I lay in bed hungry!

Shelly, keep going. I can remember a time when I told myself that if I could just do a little something every day I could truthfully tell myself that I'd exercised.Even if it's 10 jumping jacks, it still keeps you in the habit. ;) Hope your headache's better!

Butterfly, I cannot wait to hear how you likel bellydancing! If that doesn't make a woman feel like an absolute goddess nothing will!

Aquareggie, For next week's challenge, I'm going for a vegan meal every day. I figure that'll be the equal of 2 days! Did you make your muffins?

MNJ, I don't know about Pilates for real fat-burning, but I've noticed a HUGE change in my posture, and my general body confidence. Definitely worth it!

Weekend's coming----this can be a tricky time with me. More socializing, more food. We're having friends over for dinner tonight and I'm making Indian food. Lots of vegetables and I make it all low-fat. The only thing I'll have to watch for is overeating, which is so easy for me to do!

My four days of crunches are in!!! whooohooo!! Now I can have the weekend without worring if I've done them! (isn't that I terrible way to think?)
I sooooo want to feel as good as I did a year ago! I wasn't at my main goal, but I was only 10lbs. from it and I couldn't believe the energy I felt,... the comments..:o
I guess you can say that I don't feel "bad" about how I am right now, I'm just a bit disappointed that I let depression take control of my will to stay fit. I'm no longer toned.

Oh what a way to start the morning, complaining!! SORRY!!!!

This weekend I'm looking around for tape of interest!! I will let you know what I find!!

BTW--if Redballoon is busy to post next weeks challenge... anyone willing to volunteer to post?

Got to get ready for school. TGIF!! (can't believe I used that)

Take Care

Good morning! Our orientation at the gym is actually tonight. There was a mixup by the person who scheduled it. I did do 40min of upperbody weights last night. Only need one more day of cardio to finish this challenge!!

MNJ - congratulations on finishing your crunches challenge!!:bravo:

Edyie - great job on picking healthy choices!!:cp: I plan on doing the bellydance video either tonight or in the morning. I can't wait!

Cherie - I haven't had a chance to view the videos yet. I was planning on doing pilates this morning, but the power went out last night due to a storm. I didn't wake up until 10 before I had to leave! You're doing magnificent with all the exercise!!:cb:

Agua - I admire how you can eat vegan. I've tried, but I can't seem to give up milk. I can go all day and not even miss meat, but it's the milk. I'm addicted to skim milk.:T

I lost another 2.2 lbs. Yay for me! :cp: I hope everyone has a great week!

Thanks Eydie! Sandybrat how did those cookies come out?? I tried to find the nutritional info on them and couldn't any clues? I am curious as to how many calories per cookie.

(I get all 4 points for today)
