Squadron, TEN HUT! :drill: Word has come down from our fine dining facility (CHOW HALL) that some of us may not be making the best choices when it comes to what we put in our mouths!

This habit must cease immediately! You MUST be accountable for your dietary habits, recruits! :drill:

Toward that lofty goal we will be challenging each other to eat healthier, eat leaner, eat CLEANER this week!

So, what's in your shopping cart? Yep, it's honesty time!

Last time I shopped I bought: bananas, tofu, FF plain yogurt, frozen strawberries and peaches, egg substitute, canned salmon, LF shredded cheddar, 12 grain bread, and :o: a SMALL white chocolate mocha from Starbucks!

What's in your fridge? Just the highlights, please!

Good question. I'll see if I can remember.... several kinds of cheese, yogurt, tofu, veggies, milk, SF jello, lots of sauces and mustards, V8, eggs, sliced ham, salami (NOT MINE!), and lean roast beef. Now, I have no idea what is in the fridge in the garage...that one is probably stocked with all kinds of nasty stuff. And THAT is why I rarely even look in there! :smug:

What's on your plate? Or what was, or will be later today or this week?

Scrambled eggs w/LF cheese. DH made turkey bacon too, but I can't chew it. :( He is making 15 bean soup for later today. I plan on a smoothie for 'lunch.'

What's the point? I think by examining our habits...what we buy, what we stock, what we routinely eat...we can spot patterns and trends. We can reinforce positive habits and ditch the negative. We can make better decisions when it comes to our nutrition when we don't mindlessly shop or prepare our meals.

I don't log my food, but I am going to pay particular attention to what I put in my mouth this week. While I continue to lose weight  I want to make sure I am eating as clean as I can and not slipping back into unhealthy habits.

I challenge you all to join me this week as we make the most of our opportinities to SHOP CLEAN, STOCK CLEAN, and EAT CLEAN!

Group Activity for Week of 9/21-2189! We made our goal for the week! Our goal for the week of 9/27 is 2200! Yes, that is setting the bar a bit higher, but I KNOW we can do it! So get out there, get your minutes and report back here! :drill:

Sorry for the late start today. I slept until almost NOON! :o: Just getting over a bit of stomach virus and coming off my regular schedule...not a good combo. But today I feel better, and well rested. So I am off to fix a toilet. Oh joy. Gotta fit some cardio in there somewhere, too!

Have a great day, recruits! And that's an order! :drill:

Sgt. Frannie: Everyone needs to sleep late now and again. glad you are feeling better.

Today is my vacation from exercise. But Monday- back on track!

Now my refrigerator- Went to Sams club yesterday to stock up on good stuff. lowfat cheese, laughing cow, egg substitute, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, granny smith apples, spinach, lettuce, cauliflower, zucchini and yellow squash, yogurt, cottage cheese1%, skim milk, and I know that way in the back are the stone ground whole wheat flour, and muffin mix, and grits that I purchased at a grist mill up in Georgia. Right now it is so full that I know there are some other things, probably shoved way back and someday I'll find them all green ready for making penicillin.:D:

We are getting ready to start phase 2 tomorrow, so am getting fruit. I'm looking forward to oatmeal, as eggs get tiresome after a while.

Hope all you beach beauties are having a nice weekend. We are getting ready for more rain, as I can hear the thunder in the distance.

Little Chick...just jump right in! The Boot Camp Challenge is designed to give you something extra to focus on, some information or gentle reminders that may help you as you work on your new way of life.

If you like you can post your activity minutes for each day. I tally them up and post the group total on a day by day basis. We have a group goal that we strive for, but mainly we are here to encourage each other.

So, recruit! :drill: If you think you're up to the challenge, then you are officially part of the squadron! :D

I've been gone for a while, took a little break from the 'net -- but I'm back, and I did 20 minutes on the treadmill and 20 minutes on the bow flex today. And, I'm steadily losing weight! Yay!

Okay, about my fridge. DH is not even remotely on the diet, and I am on Phase I for one more week, so anything off plan is HIS. *grin* Let's see, there are two containers of ricotta cheese, a bag of cheese sticks, a bag of romaine lettuce, a cucumber, a green pepper, eggs, reduced fat shredded cheese, milk, vinegar&olive oil dressing, a half jar of great northern beans, and condiments. In the freezer are quiche cups, frozen pizzas, no sugar added Edy's triple chocolate ice cream, regular sugar-laden Edy's ice cream for DH, chicken breasts, ground sirloin, sugar free popsicles, hot pockets, corn dogs, broccoli, green peas, corn, strawberries, cheddar brats, two steaks, and hot dogs. :-D
