I'm in but man, I have a gruesome travel schedule between now and then....

My goals -- keep on journalling, drink water, keep on the 4 activity points a day wagon and keep on picking myself up by the bootstraps everytime I think I'm about to lose it.

I'm going to start another yoga intensive Sept 29th, so that should help. :)

WW actual goal -- How about a full 8 lbs less than I am now? and a happy ann taylor size smaller?

Way to go Shella!
Good to see you again Lala, have a great trip!

I am a little slow joining the challenge. I haven't touched WW in over a month now. I have been lucky enough to maintain, due only to my job requiring a lot of walking! :D
My Halloween goals are as follows:
- Get back to journaling Mon- Fri
- Resume evening walks
- Resume morning abs 5 days a week
- Join in at volleyball practice and in PE class

Oct 31. weight goal- 150lbs. It really should be doable! :)

Hello Everyone!!! I am so slack lately about logging on. I wanted to let everyone know, the week before last was my first week on the new Flexpoints "way". I figured I would jumpstart myself and not eat any of the flexpoints. I ate my 20 point target and I "ate" my excersise points. Went in to WI, and lost .2#'s. Man was I mad!!! My leader told me I wasn't eating enough. Ok, so last week I ate my 20 target points, "ate" my excersise points, and, ate 22 flexpoints for the week. Guess what???!!!! Lost 2#'s last week! Go Figure! I guess I have to learn that to lose, I have to eat! What a concept!
Anyway, here is my challange:
Get to my goal, that's 8 more lbs.
(I am at 133, need to get to 125)
Drink, Drink, Drink
Increase my activity
And, plug into you guys more!
Good luck everyone!
Have a good week end and stay OP!!

Good luck to us all!

I really could use a challenge and mini-goal. My overall goal is to not have to buy a plus-sized wedding gown next year! I'm getting married in June. My goal for Halloween will be to stay out of the candy, get to the gym 4 mornings per week, and stay OP. I will try to drop 12 lbs.

I'm back from France and short a few blips ( a cheese degustation and a few boules of ice cream), I think I did okay. i'm skipping weighing in until next monday....

My next goal -- oct 10, suede skirt purchase :) and four more lbs down!

still hitting those activity points -- forced myself to the gym this am (personal training and 30 mins on elliptical) and moving back to the groove
journalling starting again today!
water: trying to get it all in

So, how is everyone doing on their challenges?

I got to the gym 4 days last week and I went this morning. I had my first WI yesterday and dropped 2 lbs. Yippee! That makes it easier to stay determined.

Well, I managed to control myself with most things in Paris, but the degustation de fromages was a bit of a challenge.

We ended up walking about 3-4 hours a day. As much as I appreciate the Paris metro system, in the glorious weather, why not walk?

I have exercised and started journalling again. I'll weigh in today and see where I stand.

Hi everyone!

I'd like to join the Halloween Challenge too! I need a firm date and goal to stick to :)

My plan: To lose 12.5 pounds in 5 weeks (2.5 pounds a week), going from 198.5 today to 186 on October 31st.

How I'm going to beat the battle of the bulge:
-6 times a week: 1-hour cardio workouts at the YMCA on the elliptical trainer and the rowing machine (Thank God for low-impact exercise! I'm saving kick-boxing for when I'm at the top of my healthy weight range)
-Journaling and keeping OP with WW
-Drinking at least 8 glasses of water daily
-Getting in that 5 servings of fruits/veggies
-Buying WW freezer meals, fresh fruit and canned veggies - because I am so time-restricted for cooking, I need to get easy-to-prepare foods or I'm going to fall right back into ordering Pizza Hut pan pizzas.

The key for me is going to be getting up at 5 am to get in a workout before work. I know that if I wait until after work, FORGET IT hehehe! I work four 10-hour days and take class/time off on Wednesdays, so after 10 hours, I know I will be too pooped to go jump to the gym.

I'm going to move my alarm clock far away from my bed tonight to ensure there won't be any repetive Snooze Button abuse ;)

I'm doing WW at home, after losing 52 pounds with it from 1999-2001. I fell off, got back up to 202 recently (HORRORS!) and am just fed up with:
-The whole "plus size" shopping (size 18/20)
-Having sore knees and a hard time climbing stairs
-Having zero energy
-Sex appeal? What's that?
-Having the Pizza Hut staff recognize my voice within seconds
-Actually feeling so heavy that it's hard to get out of bed! Blech!

Good luck to everyone joining up! I look forward to keeping up with you all...
Sarah

Down .4# even with a wedding and eating out for 3 or 4 meals last week. Whoo hoo.

Definitely on track for the challenge, my only problem now is getting enough water and veggies.

Bumping up...

Weighed in this am and down another 1.6#, I'm definitely going to start writing things down, don't want to get too cocky.

I'm really liking my 7 am Tuesday meeting. Sort of charges me up for the rest of the week.

How is everyone else doing?

I went to wi on Tuesday and was down 1.8. My baby has been sick and I've not walked in 2 weeks, so I was happpy with the loss. As far as making this challenge I don't know. I'm going to keep on track and see.

Hey Challengers!
I met my 6 pounds down a little earlier than Halloween! That's great news. Now I'll stay with the rest of my challenge which is to exercise 1/2 hour for 5 out of 7 days a week. That's what is helping me lose weight this time.

lalala
10-16-2003, 07:41 PM
Yeah for you Itryharder !

I'm one lb away from my challenge goal too, but I have a week of work travel and personal travel. Hopefully I can maintain!

My challenge will be to keep within my points, drink water and exercise everyday that I am near a gym!

lalala,
This in incredible! Going to London and losing weight. Fabulous.
:cb:
I lost again this week and I guess we're saying goodbye to our Halloween challenge. That was fun and now it's on to Thanksgiving.
Love,

Itry,

Thanks, I think what helped was that I didn't stay in London too long and vowed not to stick my head into one of those sandwich type places on my journeys. :)

I'm heading back the first weekend of december, so my goal is to be down another couple as insurance.

Congrats yourself by the way and for everyone else!
