Default getting out of a rut

Do you ever get into a rut or a funk or whatever you want to call it? If so, how do you break it, how do you get out of it? Any tricks or tips or does it just eventually pass and you find your motivation again?

I was feeling a bit off about continuing with my diet plan last week. Took the weekend off and back on today.

IMO, I got too concerned about everything on my diet and started limiting myself too much. Even though I could have more low carb foods, I was worried about too many snacks and too much protein. By cutting back to 800 calories and trying to stay at 20 carbs and 60 grams of protein (ketogenic), I was miserable. After getting back into Ketosis this week, I'm going to keep my carbs at 30 and calories around 1500 and make myself less hungry and miserable on a daily basis.
