I am wondering if anyone has actually made the switch from Atkins to SB. If so, have you had any problem with getting hungry? :hun:

Also, how does the fat allowance differ between the two? I've only been on Atkins for 2 months but I've really gotten spoiled being able to eat regular salad dressings, cream in my coffee and regular cheese. :chin:

Another thing, I've collected a lot of really great low carb recipes. Do you think these are ok on the SB diet?

I do have to say though that I'm not so sure all this fat is good for me and I think SB sounds like a much more balanced WOE.

If there are any suggestions for making this change I would really appreciate it.

Mika,

I only did Atkins for a short while there are several of us that regular post who did Atkins or Protein Power. If you will go to the weekly support board and post your question there you will get some great advice. But, the weekends are slow so it may be on Monday before you get a reply. I would repost your question on the new board that posts on Monday. I will give you the current link and then on Monday look for the new board. You'll get a bunch of replies then.:)

Remember to hit post reply and not new post.

Mika, I did Atkins, and switched to SB. I did not lose on Atkins, but I am able to lose very slowly on SB. I don't worry about staying really low fat, I just concentrate on keeping on program with whole grains, and no sugar and avoiding the no nos. Another poster on the SB board switched from Protein Power to SB when she hit a long stall and got frustrated. She started losing again, and is almost at goal now. Low carb recipes can be useful on SB, but you can have whole grains, so you don't have to be as strict. For instance, I make whole wheat pizza crust, use part skim mozzarella cheese, and eat two pieces of pizza, and I am not cheating with any of that.

As Beachfan said, most of us post over on the Weekly board, as a reply and not a new thread. I sure hope you join us there! The more the merrier! ;)
