G'day all,
My last post brought us to the third page so I thought the least I could do start a new thread.
Lily what type of website is your dh building? By that I mean is it a personal one or for work?
My website was uploaded this morning, when I checked with my server (as the administrator) the files are there but when you look on the web for my site the 'place holder' page is still there Very confusing! Of course it is Saturday and I cannot contact anyone by phone.
DH is more interested in getting the camper ready for our trip so I will just have to wait but it is getting close!
The book dh brought back from Sydney is just amazing, the author is so clever with all her photo restoration work. He also bought back a couple of digital photography magazines as well.
I had better be nice out camping
Ann especially for you I have attached another bevy of beauties! It is called romance
Thanks all for your good wishes for my camping trip. See you all next week on my return.
Cheers
Maria

Hi everyone. I haven't been around this week, my Mom had a massive stroke on Tue morning. Life is at a standstill right now. She had a pretty good day yesterday, but today is not good at all. It's been 12hr hospital days for me. The doctor doesn't give much hope, we are just taking it one hour at a time. I haven't read the past posts, but I hope you all are having good days, give you loved ones a hug, leave nothing unsaid. :grouphug:

((((Trudy)))) so sorry to hear about your mom. This is so stressful for everyone. Sending you love and hugs.
Slavika give Trudy a hug for me. All the emails said Your Application, your details, or wicked screensaver. I didn't open any of them-Norton was scanning and said they were all infected. It just took so long to clear them out. I still one or two a day. I think my server should clear them before they even come into my mailbox. I don't know what fun it is for people to do this but I think they do it just because they can and also feel a little bit powerful.
Lily how did you like your new group? It's hard sometimes to change cause you feel so comfortable with the old. Visit any wineries lately?
Ann I bet your park is doing something fun this weekend. You are always in the middle of something. I imagine they miss you when you are on vacation.
Marnie miss seeing you.
Glenda sure been wondering what you have been up to.
Maria have fun camping. Are you roughing it and cooking over a campfire? lol
We will be clearing out the house for awhile longer. The "cousins" are of little help. They sit there and sort of watch. I am probably getting a little bossy-imagine that. It will eventually work out.
We are having a quiet holiday weekend-going out tomorrow for a cookout and that is about it. The big doings here in town is the Riverfest with over a half million people downtown on the river for the fireworks. Been there and done that a few times. I can hear them from home and watch on tv. They last for about 30 min and are synchronized to music.
Have a nice weekend.

Trudy: Love and hugs and many prayers for you and your family. I have been there, done that with my Mom, and know just how difficult it can be. Just feel all the love coming your way from us all. Don't let yoursself get too tired out. I know it is easy for me to say that, but not so easy to do. God bless. Ann

Trudy I just quickly came here before leaving.
So sorry to hear about your Mum.
Words escape me other than take care and make sure you also take care of yourself in this difficult time.
Like Ann I have also experienced a similar thing with my mother, however it does not make it any easier for you at this time.
Thinking of you and your family.........

Trudy: {{{{{{Hugs}}}}}} Oh Im so sorry to hear about your mom. My thoughts are with you. Hang in there, and know that we all all praying for her.
Do keep us posted. Im thinking of you. Its very hard, I went thru it with my mom. Please know if you need to talk or anything we are here for you.
Slavika: Give Trudy a hug for me. Im so sad for her.
Peggy: Today was my first day. Oh my goodness! I dont know what I got in to. I love the leader tho. But it was very hard work. We had 4 metings and 400 people walked thru the doorwithin 5 hours. Was hard but I still think Im gonna like it.
Maria: Make sure your first page is named index.html or index.htm , or index.shtml
One of those is your starter page right now and thats why it is still showing. But as soon as you rename the one that is meant to be the home page index it will work fine. Every home page must be named index for it to work properly. Then you can just point people to http//:mywebpage.com (or what ever) and it will point to it correctly.
Hope that helps!
Really rough day for me so Im off to watch a movie and have a glass of wine. I need it after today :)

Trudy, So sorry to hear about your mom. Remember we will all keep you and your family in out thoughts and prayers.
We are having a fun weekend so far. the Uncles are hear from the Minneapolis, St Paul area and one in from Kansas. They are camping out on some dark farm land so they can star gaze. DH and I were out there for a while tonight and had a look at Mars and were given a lesson on Stars and stuff. My uncles range in age from 55 to 72 and are what is known as geeks. How I wound up in this family I have know idea. But being they know so much it does make for and interesting evening. They had huge telescopes I mean huge:yikes:
Have to go to a funeral tomorrow afternoon. A cousin of mine who had lung cancer passed away Wednesday night. He was 62 and one of those men who didn't go to doctors . When his wife finally got him to go he was in the advanced stage and it was too late. he did kemo more to prolong his life rather that destroy the cancer. I believe he lasted a little over 6 months from the time they found it. I was told he really suffered at the end and it was a blessing when he passed. I was not close to him or his family but he was my Mothers sisters oldest son so I will go for her. You know what I mean?
After that we will be going down to Sauk Rapids to have a look at my Sons house. He moved in today. Now I will find out what else he needs. We should give him a new house shower, is there such a thing?
:?:
We are having some very cool nights here in central Minnesota. There is a feel of fall in the air. The leaves are beginning to change and the A/C aren't running all the time. It is the season I love best. The only thing I don't like is what comes next.SNOW:eek:
Lily 400 people in five hours. OH MY goodness. I'll be you felt like you had been pulled through a knot hole when you were done!!!
Trudy remember we are thinking of you:grouphug:

Karen: Sorry to hear about your cousin. Thats really sad when people dont go to the Dr until its to late. We have a Lady at work that is the same way. She said she knew something was wrong but didnt go until to late. I dont understand if you know something is wrong why not get it checked out?
I did feel like I was put thru a ringer. This leader really brings them in. He is very dynamic so I can see why.
Hope everyone has a great Labor day!

A man leader? What's that like?
LilyG
09-01-2003, 12:34 AM
Yep we actually have about 3 here. But this one is awesome.
First meeting 6:30 AM. HE opened the door walked out side (to about 50 people at that time) Out stretched arms, and said "Are you ready for Flex Points?" 50 people were cheering and I’m not kidding you. It was unreal. He really sold people on the calculator and the 12-week. We were sold out of both after 2 meetings. We sold 35 Starter kits in the first meeting. There was such a long line, he was handing them out to the people waiting in line and anything else they wanted.
It was unreal Karen. He is very dynamic and very to the point. He told people if you are going to use your 35 points in one day then go ahead. But use them 3 days before your WI.
He goes so over board with his people, he brings them 7 PT pizza that is suppose to be to die for.
At innovations, I was so shocked he didn’t go up and get the award for people losing 100#.
He said , "I didn’t do it, they did. "
He lost 125# himself.
Karen L

He sounds amazing. It sounds like his next step should be trainer. 35 starter kits! that is wonderful. I'm sitting here with my chin resting on my chest!!!!
LilyG
09-02-2003, 12:14 AM
Karen: his selling point on the calculator.
"Are you a night journaler? Gotta have the calculator. It allows you to put in a time you want to start your day. And it goes from there."
He actually applied for the Territory Manager position that was open. But he didnt get it.
He is amazing. He sold close to 3000$ That day. There was a 5th meeting and only 2 peope showed, free lifers and 1 walked out with a starter kit :) I told him I would be happy to do the tally on this last one
He is the Center Coordinator at this location. He told people if they wanted a calculator to add thier names to the list. We had 20 people on the list before all the meetings closed. Next shipment is gone before his week is over for sure.

Good Morning, All!
First of all: Trudy, I'm so sorry about your mom. It is never easy when our parents are failing. Prayers.
And Karen, sorry about your friend.
Because of Labor Day, my weigh in is today. While I've been exercising, I'm not sure I didn't push the envelope regarding my points. According to the new "Flex" my target points are 22.
Karen, I meant to tell you I got Dial soap the last Target run. I used it for the first time this morning. I'll keep you posted if I should happen to turn into a 23 year old beauty! :cb:
Lily, I'd love to attend one of those meetings! Our leader is a little less gregarious. She's pleasant enough, but certainly not dynamic.:mouse:
Maria, thanks for always starting the threads.
Peggy, thanks for missing me. Sometimes I think I have nothing to say - or there's really nothing going on in my life. But I always come and read everyone's posts (mostly) and don't always add anything.:gossip:
I'll check back after WW this afternoon.
Hope you're all having good days. Take care of yourselves - no one else will!

Hi Everybody
I spoke to Trudy today and her Mom is not doing well. I had planned on spending time with Trudy and her Mom at the hospital today but I caught a cold over the weekend and thought I had better not go. My grandkids both had been sick with strep throat and that's what I thought I was getting but it is just a cold with a tickle in my throat, so I am coughing. I'm sorry I can't be with Trudy. She is spending as much time as she can with her Mom. Her Mom is one of those really lovely ladies with a perfect complexion and bright eyes. She always looks so nice when I run into her at the grocery stores.
The Princess had a lovely birthday party and received so many nice gifts. Her Mom and Dad made up a little poem about her using the letters of her name and she loved that. I bought a "use once" camera for my grandson to take pictures of the party and he thought that was just wonderful. Today the children are back to school.
I didn't go to WW today so I don't know about the new program but hopefully I will go next week.
The weekend actually was wonderful and the weather was just great but you can sure tell that fall is coming. I too love fall, but am not looking forward to winter and the cold cold temperatures. :(
Talk to you later. Bye for now. :)

Marnie: We are always interested in what you have to say. How did your WI go? 23 year old beauty? Guess I better run and get some :) I need all the help I can get :)
Slavika: Think it is best you dont go to the hospital to. Glad you didnt get strep throat and just a cold. Strep is not fun. Hope Trudy is doing good and holding in there. Sounds like you had a fun weekend. I bet the prince loved taking pictures. How fun for him!The party sounds like it was a success!
Peggy: What have you been up to lately? Any new product tests?

Oh, Lily, thanks! :encore: WW was not good to me. Last week I was complaining I was just down -.6 and yesterday it was UP +.6. The funny thing is, I've exercised everyday so I thought I'd be down. Oh, the wicked web the scale weaves. :rollpin: I did finally read the materials on the Flex Plan and I got a new food companion. It helps if I study the stuff.
How are you doing? Your leader sounds great.:high:
Hope everyone is doing fine and had a great Labor Day. It's finally turning cool here, but we need a ton of rain. :rain:
Catch ya all later!

Hi all:
Marnie: I'd be glad to send you some of our rain. Another rainy day. I think we have had rain nearly every day this week. It does get one into the 'blahs' after a while  My Laabor Day weekend was busy. As usual we had big doings at the clubhouse. But I didn't have to do much. It is nice to delegate. Having good volunteers makes a big difference.
Slavaika: I am so sorry to hear that Trudy's Mom is not doing well. Please tell her that we have her in our prayers, and Trudy too. She needs to keep up her strength. Those hospital vigils are very tiring. Your Princess birthday part sounds like a fun time. Family gatherings are so 'cool' as the kids would say. Being here in FL. so far away, we do miss that, but most of our grandkids are quite grown up. Or at least they think so. :D:
Lily: I still haven't made it to WW to get the new material. Hopefully after I get back from vacation. We will be spending a week up in North Georgia. We haave never been in that area before, and everyone says it is a lovely spot. We are looking forward to it. I will be having big challenges, as I expect we will be eating out a lot. I am going to have to be :strong: in my resolve. Your leader sound like an inspiration himself. Even tho' you are very busy. I think I would be more eager to go, if we had a leader like that.
I wonder how Maria is doing on her camping expedition? Hope all is well and that they are haveing a wonderful time.
Peggy? How many craft shows will you be doing this fall? Are you doing the snowmen?
Karen: Are you finally slowing down a bit, now that you don't have as many meetings? Fall must be coming to your part of the globe. Any color showing on the trees yet?
I'm trying an experiment for an un-potato salad, using cauliflower. If it is any good I'll let you know. 'See' you later. Ann

Yes, Ann - send the rain - everything is so brown. :rain:
When do you go on vacation? I'd love to try the "cauliflower" potato salad if it turns out. You could :write: it right here.
I'm fixing Cordon Bleu for supper. I found the recipe on the Internet. My sister - who lives in Clearwater, FL - had it one Sunday and it sounded so good I wanted to try it.
I'll check in tomorrow. Hope you're all well. I bet Maria's looking for a Holiday Inn about now! I know I would be.
Later - Marnie

I want to thank all of you for your kind words, this has been the hardest thing I have even been through. Poor Mom had a terrible time, she developed a blood clot in her leg that stopped the circulation, collapsed a lung had a fever of 104 and just kept on fighting. She passed away Sept 3 at 12:30am., and it was a blessing. I spent 12 - 15 hrs at the hospital and one marathon 27 hrs that almost did me in. Her funeral will be on Monday and then we will have to clear out her apt.
This evening I am just poking around my 'puter and it is good to focus on something else for a while.
I read all the posts I missed and it seems like everyone is doing good.
Talk to you all later... :grouphug:

Just keep hanging on there and it will all work out in the end. Love Cordon Bleu!
Ann: Have fun on your Vacation! I have heard about that Un-potato salad before. Let us know. I have never tried it but people seem to like it. I know my hubby would never eat it he hates Califlower.
Trudy: Oh Im so sorry to hear about your Mom. It does sound like she had a very hard time so it is a blessing. Hope you are OK. My thoughts are with you. I know its very hard. Hang in there. :grouphug:
Well we are off on Vacation tomorrow. See you in 2 weeks.

Just a quickie; the Un-potato salad is good. I think that if you could get your DH to try it without telling him what it was he would think it was some sort of potato salad. The dressing, and eggs, etc. flavor it very nicely. I'll try to post it later. Ann

Here is is. thanks to another thread. Hope you like it. When I make it again I will not put in the Splenda. Ann
Unpotato Salad
3 c cauliflower (cut into bite size pieces, about 1/2 of a 6” head)
1/2 c celery, diced
2 TBS onion, chopped
1/2 c. mayo
1 TBS cider vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Splenda
pepper to taste
2 hard boiled eggs, chopped
Put cauliflower in bowl along with 3 or 4 TBS water and cover with plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 7 minutes. Leave the plastic on the bowl for several minutes after it comes out of the microwave. Cauliflower should be tender-crisp, not mushy. (You can also steam the cauliflower on the stove) Uncover bowl and let cauliflower cool.
While the cauliflower is steaming, dice the celery, onion and eggs.
Mix the mayo (I use Hellman’s; no carbs), cider vinegar, salt, Splenda and pepper for the dressing.
Once the cauliflower is cool, mix everything together and chill before serving.
Hint: Add about 3/4 of the dressing at first. If you think it needs more, do so. I found that using all the dressing made it a bit more soupy than I wanted. On the other hand, if you use more cauliflower it will take the extra dressing.

Hi Everybody :grouphug:
To my dear friend Trudy big hugs  for you, I know this has been a really rough time for you.
Ann so you are off on holidays to Georgia. Have a nice time and tell us about it when you get back. Thanks for posting the recipe, I will give it a try.
Lily I see you are going on holidays too, but I don't remember seeing where you are off to. Have a nice time, and "see" you when you get back.
Marnie it's funny but when we are down just a portion of a lb at the scale we think...."that's it?" but when we go UP that same small amount, we get mad at ourselves. :D Hang in there.......I'm trying but don't see much happening on my scales either. :( My nephew's wedding is tomorrow and he is marrying a Italian gal and I think it's going to be a 7 course dinner~~~:yikes:
Hi Karen since I missed WW last Tuesday I don't know the in's and outs of the new program, but do the gals going to the meetings seem to like it???
I wonder how Maria is making out? I forget when she said she was getting back. I hope having the camper made things more comfortable for them.
The shop picked up my chairs that are going to be recovered, so my living room looks "NAKED". ;) The man is coming to do my kitchen counter on Wednesday and the ceramic tile man on Thursday. I have to empty ALL my bottom cupboards. Why oh why do things have to be so messy before they get to be nice?
Nothing else new with me, so talk to you all later.

((((Trudy)))) so sorry to hear about your mom. I know you will miss her. Sending you love and hugs.
Slavika I think when you are finished your house will be like new.
Marnie the scale is stooopid. Pay no attention to all the flucuations. It is the general downward trend that is important.
Anne have fun on vacation. Want to hear all about it when you return.
Have been busy packing and cleaning up dh's aunts house. It is a big job-she was a packrat. She and her husband used to go to auctions so they had a lot of "things". Took 2 carloads to the Goodwill and have a lot of stuff boxed for dh and his cousin to take to a flea mkt next weekend. Hope the weekend is as nice as this one.
I am supposed to be doing a craft show today in Indiana. My partner and I are sort of burned out and didn't have anything so we are not going.
