Default Thank heavens I found this site!

Hi there!

I'm new and desperate to get my weight under control again. I lost 7 stone with WW 12 years ago and have put it all back on. Just turned 54 and can barely walk a mile. Am so fed up with myself. But I know what I have to do and this website is just what I need to share support with like minded comrades. Good to meet you!

Welcome!! And sadly you are not the only person I know that has gained after WW or Slimming World. The reason I mention this is because for years I have tried them all and I have gained back as well. I have found that some of these clubs, while very motivational and community like, they don't always teach you how to sustain a proper calorie controlled diet. I know that people hate the thought of counting calories, and I know that it doesn't work for everyone, but there is no other way of really finding out if you are over eating.

Start slowly, change one thing at a time, go for short walks every day, even if it is just 5 minutes. That way you can up the length of time you walk as you start to get used to it, you can start to see the scales move for the better as you substitute certain foods that you eat. you didn't gain all the weight back in a month, so it will take some time to see changes occur.

Its not a new diet you are on, its a lifestyle change that will make you feel a million pounds!!

good luck!

Don't set unrealistic goals, take it one step at a time, Also try and focus what you need to do NOW, not what you'll be doing 2 months from now, or where you'll be at in 3-6 months time, take it day by day, if you gradually change your diet/lifestyle you WILL make it happen ! A very Warm Welcome !
