July 2016 thread...
Hi,
Hoping to revive things here a bit! I know a lot of people have moved on to other boards, but hoping there are still a few people around. Just a place for anyone to post - no matter where they are in the program or when they started.
I am getting on track and hoping to find a few friends
Thanks!

Don't feel bad, cactusblossom, I think many are sticking to continuing threads instead of monthly threads so they don't get lost every month and can easily scroll back to previous parts of the conversations. I know the 2016 starters and the 2015 starters have had quite the threads going, and welcome all comers, lol. I started in 2013 and still chat about with the folks on those threads, throwing my 2 cents in and reading how things are going in their lives. Just because you may have started at a different time doesn't mean you can't join in and feel welcome doing it!

Hi There. I'm on day 2 and looking forward to joining you all.
I came across this forum and it's been great to see such success in losing - and maintaining - on IP.

I started again this morning.
Did an IP alternative a couple of years ago, had great success, then dropped the ball. I was feeling yuuge yesterday and thought - hey, I have a bunch of food leftover and two weeks before my in-laws arrive for a fish-length visit (if you know the visitors and fish reference). I ordered a few things last night to round out my selections and I'm on my way. I've only lurked on 3FC before, but am hoping to get and give energy for the process as a forum participant. I'd love to join you, cactusflower.

1) I'm trying to figure out where to post stuff and how. Any tips would be appreciated.
2) I realized I had tons of Proti-lean oatmeal. I like savory better than sweet, so I searched out a few savory oatmeal recipes. The one I tried today is adapted from Mark Bittman's recipe: add sliced scallions and soy sauce to your oatmeal. It's sort of risotto-like, which isn't my favorite, but it was darn good.
3) Day one is so easy - everything's new and I'm motivated and hopeful. The next two days will be a test. If these posts go missing in the next couple of days, it'll be because I ate them.
Cheers!

NSV - can now completely button a favorite jean jacket that I have had to wear open for four years!
Also had a nice 3# loss even with one night off for a family party. Down a total of 24.6 pounds and 13.5 inches in less than two months!

Just a hello. Chugging along since the end of April. Down 37 pounds and roughly halfway there. Went from a tight size 16 to now a 12 (some are loose even). It works!
