Default Suddenly Wednesday May 25

Really had a problem figuring out the day this morning but am OK now. Just too darned much stuff in my brain with some leakage.

We seem to suddenly be in summer weather and seem to have missed spring. The trees are fully leafed out and the daffodils and tulips are done. Asparagus has started in my garden and the rhubarb is going insane. Time to pick and freeze before the strawberries arrive.

Not sure what today will bring as the only note on my calendar is Pet Therapy this afternoon. I plan to go to town this a.m. to get plants for my porch planters. I wish I'd written down the name of last summer's plants that worked well. I may get some seeds into my veggie bed and finish planting the herb boxes later after pet therapy.

First though some scrambled eggs with asparagus and red peppers.

Raising my mug in a toast to a humpless Hump Day!

I'll take a quick cup, Ruth! Asparagus with your eggs sounds delicious.

I agree, the weather has certainly turned to summer but that's the way it is around here. I picked the first rhubarb yesterday and made a great dessert using coconut sugar and a topping of oatmeal and chopped walnuts. Yum.

Most of my planting is done, although I have a couple packs of flowers left. Guess I should get at them this afternoon. Then it's the never-ending watering and weeding of June. Not complaining, I love being outside.

Not much else to say except after a week of clean(er) eating I have just about rid myself of the weight gain from my week of travel and celebration. It really shows how much water we retain whenever we eat carbs.

Got to fly. Have a great day, chicks!

Ruth, is this when I admit a friend made me rhubarb dump cake? OMG. Delicious. Especially with whipped cream on top. Please don't banish me to the food porn section .

I am so, so grateful to my friend Sandy that is bringing food over tonight for supper. I can't even get a glass of water without regrets, so I know that dinner would issues as well. I don't think she knows what she's making, other than pumpkin bread for dessert. That's the important part, right?

I slept away a good part of the day yesterday, that might be in the plans today too. Not a bad thing, right?

(as I realize - what is today? Oh, Wednesday. Wednesday. LOL)

XOXO

Good morning Just two more Wednesday mornings left in the work year. I will be happy to be done with those, and try not to panic about the weeks with no income

Darn, I planned a longer post but realized I need to GET MOVING. I am just 5 minutes away from work and always running in at the last minute. Happy Hump Day!

Good morning,

Getting ready to go in to the office, it is a bit cloudy but I did 2 mile walk outside this morning. Today is DD2 first day of summer break, she does have art class. I will need to go buy her a city pool pass very soon, it opens this weekend.

Ruth I tend to forgot things if I don't write them down as well.

Tywnn naps are good for healing, glad you have friends who are making you food while you recuperate.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good morning it's going to be a beautiful day which means Penn will be a sauna!!! A stinky, swearty sauna lol All this gardening talk may convince me to throw my zinnia seeds in the front today. Weeding will wait until Sunday. I have the on call this weekend so it's a good excuse to stay home and play outside. Otherwise it's just the norm here.

Beth congrats on getting back to before your trip. A few days away always gives me a gain too.

Pearlrose it's normal to be nervous. I think I'm worse waiting than actually having the test done.

Debbie good luck with the irrigation. I'm sure you will get it done.

Ruth hope your schedule stats clear so you can enjoy your porch.

Tammy so glad you are home!!! You need your rest so sleep whenever you like. You'll know when you start to feel better. It takes time, sometimes lost of time. You get a SB pass!!! After my back surgery my DS cooked, how scary is that thought!!! He offered to make me eggs or Mac and cheese. Last thing I wanted was eggs lol. He then asked how many boxes did I want!!! Apparently in teenage cooking class a box is a serving lol. Glad Sandy is helping out with dinner. I ate whatever anyone was kind enough to make me. I'm sure you are glad to be home.

Time for a second cup then I need to get moving. My boss sprained his ankle and took the week off. So I'm going to adjust my schedule to work a little better for me. Enjoy this beautiful humo day "Mike, Mike, Mike!" That's for Tammy

Good morning!

When I got up this morning no one was here and then when I checked back in everyone was here. LOL!

Ruth, thanks for getting us started in helping us all know what day it is! Enjoy your pet therapy and I hope you pick out some pretty flowers.

Tammy, glad you're getting lots of help and that folks are bringing you some treats. Does it hurt when the kitties try to sit all over you? Funny, my cat is pretty fun social but she sleeps on my feet every night.

Beth, I need to have all your planting done.

Jennifer, nothing like a free sauna. I started some zinnia seeds in my greenhouse this year as they weren't doing too well just spreading them.

Cyndi, cheers to the countdown. I am four minutes from work. I love that.

Pearlrose, Nice to walk before heading to work. I'd love to do that here but I am a little fearful of mountain lions.

OK, I am going to have one more cup of coffee then start the irrigation project. I already figured out how to cut the line and I successfully punched and inserted a Barb. This is going to be a leap of faith because it has to be all put together before I will never know if it's going to work. It will be nice to get all the stuff out of my living room. I have 50 feet of irrigation hose wrapped around chairs and my coffee table. It seemed it needed to get stretched out which I think will help me today.

I will report progress and have a great day everyone!
