Ann: Glad you are doing well with the SB diet. I think its a man thing. My DH can take a nap in the afternoon. Only his naps are 4 hours. I take a nap and Im lucky if it even lasts 1 hour. He can also sleep in forever.
Me Im up at 5:00 sometimes 6:00.

Maria: I have a hard time resisting my self. But its time to cut back on things I dont use. I havent bought the New WW Pizza booK as I know I will make one form it and thats it. Usually buy them all. Never did cook anything out of the Entertainment one. So Im trying to resist from here on out. When do you live for your trip?
DH and I are still deciding when we are. Men........

Boy it was bad last night! Thunder and Lighting like you would not believe! It thought it was gonna hit the house. Unfortuantely, I ran into my neighbor at the store today and I guess it hit a house not to far from us. Totally demolished it. :(

Well we are off to Lake Tahoe tomorrow. Just a short ride. Picnic Lunch and back. Should be fun!
Here a Cam website of it:

G'day all,

A rainy miserable day here today, perfect to be inside and work on my webpage!
DS and d-i-l are over for dinner tonight, we are having roast lamb and heaps of roast veggies . I am also making some golden syrup dumplings with custard. No they are not out of the WW cookbook :D ;) , I will only have a very small serving!
There is a good football match on TV and I will continue with my x stitch whilst that is on.

DH has been pottering around getting all the stuff ready for our trip. He is in Sydney all next week, comes back on Friday and then we will be off the following Monday.
He just loves it, he is soooooo organised!

Lily Lake Tahoe just looks lovely. Boy that thunder and lightening is a bit scarey out your way. I didn't know that it could demolish a whole house

Ann you make me laugh about your dh. We are very much the same, neither of us would 'nap' during the day, but dh does sleep much better at night than what I do.

Back to my webpage......
Cheers
Maria

Lily try the Orange Chiffon Cake on page 247 in the Entertains Book. It is wonderful:T
And I hear you. I have every cookbook WW has ever sold I think. I have used them a little more than once. Not lately because I've been on the go. But as of last Wednesday I handed over three of my meetings to someone else. It was hard to leave all the people I've made friends with and watched so many of them have success with weight loss. But I am planning to go over there about once a month to a meeting for myself. Haven't been to a W W meeting as a member in almost 10 years. :joker:

I have spent most of this week clearing out the Winning Points Program from my office and meeting rooms and putting the FlexPoints in its place. That was a chore .:strong:

Trudy you sure do tell a good story but holy cow girl getting stranded . That is a good one to tell  to keep her home safe.

Marnie I haven't seen you arond the board lately?

Slavika how is the house coming along. I really hate when we do anything new to the house because we have to live in a mess until done. I always love the end result but don't like the in between:fr:

Ann Glad the SB and low carb WW is working for you. Have they done your measurements at curves lately. It is always fun to hear all the inches that are gone:D

Maria, Your camper/tent looks good but I still would like to go to a nice hotel. Hope you are able to go after all this planning.

Has Glenda been around? I don't remember seeing her.

And Peggy how you doing and what fun stuff are you doing this weekend?

Who is going to a WW meeting this next week? The new program will be there. I am interested in your thoughts.

Got to go

Hi all; My measurement day at curves is Monday. Hope I will show some progress. I also intend to weigh in at WW on thursday so I can keep track more carefully.

Karen: I know it must be hard to decide to give up some groups of 'friends' but come the time when you have to think of yourself.

Trudy: that was quite an excapade. I have never been good and sleeping on the ground, and I'm sure if that was me, I'd have been a nervouse wreck, not nearly as calm as you.

Hope you are all having a nice weekend.

Lily.. The picture at Lake Tahoe looks so peaceful. Too bad you aren't staying longer. We had a thunder storm on Thur evening. Didn't get much rain, but lightening hit a power line and our electricity was off from 10:15pm to 12:45am. Of course, my DH said there was no point in staying up and immediately fell asleep, I on the other hand, stayed up and protected him and the house..
Maria sent me the cookbook, I really found it interesting .. he uses "glugs & knobs" as measure.. I found out that "Rocket" is another name for Arugula. A couple of recipes caught my interest. I like reading cookbooks as much as a good novel. You girls might be :sorry:, you're missing something good.

In my Saturday newspaper they always have a travel section. Senior Tours Canada lists a trip to Australia & New Zealand.. 25 days.. First class tour of the land "Down-under". Sydney, the Outback, Great Barrier Reef, scenic highlights of New Zealand, tropical resort in Fiji. Includes full breakfast daily, 19 dinners and 6 lunches.. $9,997 CDN dbl. That is a lot of money.. for the both of us it would be $19,99.00 plus $$ for extra meals, and you always need spending money for little treasures, we would also need a fare to Calgary, to catch the flight. Something tells me that won't happen  I guess you are familar with all these places Maria.

Ann I am not a calm person. Everything that happens to me results in a reaction .. you can see it in my face, my body language, and definitely in my voice.. My DH thinks "adventure" and I think "catastrophe"
Karen is the Entertains Book a WW cookbook? I love lemon or orange chiffon cakes, they are so light and really low cal. My Mom always makes me a lemon chiffon cake on my birthday. Have you started using the Flex Points at your meetings yet? What will you be doing with your spare time now? You will probably enjoy being at a meeting just listening and sharing with the other members. I rather enjoy going to the meetings. I will be going back, carrying extra pounds.. I am so  at myself, I feel like a blimp today.

If I am not mistaken, today is Slavika's Anniversary... Happy Anniversary Slavika :goodvibes I hope you are having a great day.. :sunny:

Bye for now ... have a great weekend.

Maria: The Lighting didnt demolish it, the fire after wards did. I Should of been more clear on that.
It was a lovely trip. Usually pretty cool up there but it was quite hot!

Karen: I will look in to that recipe. I have just been in a cooking rut latley. Need to get out of it cuz Im bored with the same old stuff. I do go in spurts tho. I am looking forward to the One Pot Meals cook book tho.
Looks quite interesting. Im sure it was hard to leave those meetings.
I left my Sat morning meeting and its killing me. Im gonna start working Sat at another location. So I will miss the one I have been going to for 4 years now. :(

Ann: Lets us know how the measurements go. Im sure you will see a difference! Everybody I know that has been going to curves is showing a good improvment each time they measure!

Trudy: Wow I cant believe the difference in costs for you to go to Australia. Really makes it afforadble to travel :( Thats unreal!
Yes the Entertains is a WW Cookbook. The Flex Points starts tomorrow.
That would of be me up protecting the house and DH sleeping right thur it. Course the other night we were both up. I havent heard Thunder & Lightening like that in a long time.

Well Im pooped gonna watch a movie and relax.

G'day all,

We had a nice weekend but that was shattered yesterday afternoon when we went to see our ds play football. One of his team mates was killed in a car crash the night before and his girlfriend is in a critical condition.:(
Our ds pays football in the country (between 80 and 100km from his home) he plays there because he loves playing but he also gets paid $350 per game. I don't know what the statistics are in your countries but here most fatal car accidents happen on country roads, main reason fatigue and speed.
It always worries me the distances our ds drives to play football. This is the second death of one of his team mates in 2 football seasons.

Karen I can imagine it would be hard to leave all these people that have become your friends, however enjoy the bit of spare time this now gives you.
I have looked on the net for the new 'flexpoints' but cannot seem to find it:dizzy: Lily could you perhaps post the link?

Ann hope the measurements go well today, you will no doubt let us know.

Trudy boy that is a lot of money. I just checked out the exchange rate and your dollar is worth Aus$0.91, not much difference really. Seeing all those places in 25 days would leave you breathless, it would give you a tentalising peek but not much more. I am not sure how much the trip we plan to the US and Canada would cost. My b-i-l and his wife did a trip to the Grand Canyon, Canada and Alaska. They went EVERYWHERE first class and it cost them close on to $45000 . We are not quite in that league;) We intend to do quite a bit of driving and plan it all ourselves. As the time gets closer I will be asking everyone here advice rather than my local travel agent!

Slavika Haven't seen you for a few days, hope you are well and that you had a wonderful anniversary.

Where are you Marnie, Glenda, Peggy and Jeney hope you are well and doing interesting things.

Cheers

It could be that the Flex points havent been introduced to Australia. I was under the impression it would happen world wide.
But use IE and you should get there:

I noticed when I was in New Zealand, with multi national company type sites, it went straight to the NZ affiliated site.

I think that is exactly what it is doing here.:dizzy:

A happy Day!! My Curves day showed 2 1/2 lbs down and 7 1/2 total inches down. That sounds big, but they add up all from each spot, arm leg, thigh, etc to get the total. My scale at home shows less but I ate breakfast and of course weighed in with clothes on.:D: I was satisfied with the comparison.

Lily-Karen: I read about the flex points but must admit that I don't really understand how it is going to work. It seems that there is more calculating than before, unless I have the concept wrong. My monthly weigh-in is Thursday, and maybe I'll get an explanation then that I will understand better.

Maria: So sorry about the loss of your ds friend and team-mate.
Speed and fatigue will do it every time, no matter where the road is. There are at least 3 accidents every morning on our news during rush hour in Tampa and Orlando. People just get in too big a hurry, and take chances. I know on long drives on interstate highways accidents happen because people go to sleep. I am getting so I always treat driving like operating a lethal weapon.

Hi everyone. Hope your weekend was pleasant. 'See' you later. :wave:Ann

G'day all,

Ann:bravo: :cb: :cp: well done, you must be so pleased. It has made me think that I want that good feeling again!
I have been really busy and with dh gone, eating 'c--p', this morning I cast my mind back to what I was eating when I was really 'good'. So this morning I have given myself a good talking to and now you have given me even more incentive! Thanks.

Lily I agree it is all a bit peculiar. I did speak to someone from New Zealand last night who has recently joined WW. I asked her but she said she had not heard of any change.

Well girls, I am going to be rich, fabulously rich:D :D , I got another customer yesterday!!!!
I met a girl (about 35) who is just setting up her quilting business. She designs quilts and then sells them in a kit form. Anyways she cannot use her scanner and asked if I could teach her. So I will be going to her home to teach her!
She was also interested in some of the 'digital manipulations' that I do so who knows!

Back to that website.

Hi Everybody :grouphug:

It was just great coming here today and reading all the posts. DH and I went away for a few days for our anniversary, but also to do some shopping for the Princess birthday and to look for something for me to wear to my nephew's wedding in Sept. We managed to find several cute little outfits for her to wear to school this year and I also got myself an outfit for the wedding. It's a fairly long multi coloured linned skirt with a jacket that is not as heavy as the skirt because there's no linning in it. I got a little T-shirt to go with it. The colours are bright and I felt really good when I put the outfit on. :) I'm glad that's done! :cb:
Our granddaughter's birthday party is going to be at the lake this coming Saturday. She will be 8 years old.

My home repairs are still ongoing. Everything seems to take so long. We still have to go and look at doors for the outside, maybe we'll do that after this long weekend. Lily Lake Tahoe looks just lovely. Maria thanks for sending me the "cookbook" and congrats on getting another client.
I hope you enjoy every minute of it. Ann well done....both in the weight loss department and in getting those inches off, that's wonderful :bravo: Karen that's good that you will have a little more free time. I don't know though, I don't work outside of the home and it seems I'm always busy. Mind you, going out for lunch with friends takes up some of my time......;)
I will be seeing Trudy for Tea Time tomorrow, but she will be coming here after seeing the dentist so she informed me that with her mouth being frozen she might "drool" a bit. LOL :D
We haven't heard from Marnie, Glenda, Peggy and Jeney for awhile. I go to WW tomorrow and I don't think it's going to be a very pretty sight when I stand on that scale after eating out so much while we were away. :(
Well gals, time for me to say goodnight.

I am really behind on the threads! :?:

DH and went to the Minnesota State Fair yesterday. :hun: I did pretty well with my choices; and we walked, walked, walked - so I figured what ever we ate was walked off.

DH is off today, too, but I wanted to say hi  and let you know I haven't fallen off the end of the earth. :stars:

I'll try to get the threads read before I write again. :gossip:

BTW, I haven't gotten the Flex Plan yet. I'll weigh in today and pick up the new materials.

Ann: Thats super on the inches lost! ANd the Lbs lost to! Sounds like Curves is really going great! You will get a good over view at your meeting. Its not more calculating. Its actaully alot easier. At least I think.

Maria: So sorry to hear about the loss of ds friends. Thats so sad. Hope he is handling it ok. I think its stange that it will not let you get to the US site. I can see it taking you to your country but it should still allow you to go to the US one. After all I can get to the Australia one.
Congrats on the new Customer. You will be wealty! :)

Slavika: Happy Anniversary! Your outfit sounds beautiful! Glad you finally found something!

Marnie: Good to see you! The State fair sounds fun. I would like to go to ours, but DH is being boring and doesnt want to go. :(

Best get to work. Have a great day all!

G'day all,

Good to see you Marnie, you have been missed. The fair sounds good but it is always very tiring with all the walking one does.

Slavika Pleased you found an outfit to wear for the wedding, sounds lovely, I like bright clothes.
How did you go at WW, hope it wasn't quite as bad as you anticipated.

Lily yes I will be so wealthy at $20 per hour:D :D . It is a lot of fun and very exciting. Just wished I had finished this website. Worked on it for over 12 hours yesterday:dizzy: . This morning I decided to clean the house before getting to my computer. That is now done so I can sit here for as long as I like and I know the house is 'spic and span'.:)
I have rediscovered a CD of Andrea Bocelli. The CD I have is Tuscan Skies, it is superb, playing this very minute. Being home on my own I can have it as loud as I like! I hope it is not keeping you up on the other side of the world:D
Helps to have a good dusting, you realise you have things you had forgotten.

Have a great day everyone.....

Maria: My DH made a copy of the picture to shsow to all his Buddies, and he told them these were some of the ladies at Curves!

Slavika: Happy anniversary, a bit late. glad y ou found 'the dress' and it sounds lovely. Glad y ou did well at WW.

Marnie: the State Fair sounds like fun. We used to always go to the NY State Fair. Here in Florida, the State Fair is in February. We've gone a few times, but there is a lot of walking, and we like the animal exhibits, and it is set up so much different than we are used to that we found it hard to see all the animal displays and judging. The carnival seems to be the big attraction, plus all the special shows.

have you all seen Mars? I expected it to look red and was disappointed that it didn't.

G'day all,

Ann I have quite a few of those very attractive ladies;) :D
Perhaps I will attach one from time to time just to remind us all what we definetly DON'T want to look like!!

Well my webpage is just about finished, I am just tidying up a few bits and pieces and then it is ready to upload.

I have paid for a webhosting service. I have only ever uploaded a webpage on the free space my ISP provided.
I am sure it isn't much different but I am a little confused so I thought I would upload it when dh gets home tomorrow night. At least with us both doing it, one of us will remember how it was done......I hope!
DH is much more methodical and technically inclined, I just want to get the site up and running.

Not much other news,

See ya tomorrow....

Wow you all have been busy since I was here last. One morning I opened my email and I had over 500 stupid messages. It was that Sobig thing. Took me forever to clear it out and run virus scans. I didn't have it but was on the receiving end. What a mess. I took my computer to my friend and he put more memory in it.
Dh's aunt died last week and the funeral was this past Monday. We have been busy clearing out the house. She didn't have any children and was a saver of everything.
Ann you are doing so well at Curves. I have to go check out the one here. Haven't had time yet to do that.
Maria what a tragic loss the team had. Hope they are on the way to healing. That was a lovely picture of those ladies. Sure does make one feel thin. I feel like Miss America next to them.
Slavika Happy Belated Anniversary and tell the Princess someone in Ohio says Happy Birthday. Your new wedding outfit sounds really nice.
Karen I like chiffon cakes but for some reason I get the hiccups when I eat it. I know I am weird. It sounds very refreshing.
Lily have you started at your new Sat meeting yet? How come you changed?
Marnie I bet the fair was fun. Did you behave yourself around the food?
Trudy I like to read cookbooks too. Don't necissarily make anything from them. I like the Community ones and pick them up at yard sales.

I have canasta club tonight and just thought I would pop in real quick. Got to run,

Peggy: Im going to be working WW on Sat now. Thats why I cant make my regular meeting. I will just move my book over there and get WI as always. Will just miss the people. Sorry to hear about DH's Anut. Sounds like quite a chore cleaning out the house. That Virus has caused lots of problems. Will never understand the people that do that.

Have a great night all.

G'day all,

Just as well I am multi-skilled;) , I have to go and pick up the camper trailer this afternoon . We are not going until Monday but we are unable to pick it up over the weekend.
DH is still in Sydney so it is left to 'Moi'!

Lily you are probably right about the uploading. I am just a bit anxious as I want this to be RIGHT. I am sure you understand.
I have now also designed my business cards, they are similar to my website.
It is a bit scarey every now and then.:fr:but on the whole I have found it very exciting.
DH is bringing me yet another book it is by Katrin Eismann http://www.photoshopdiva.com/books.html
It has had some rave reviews but of course not available in lil'ol Adelaide. I have seen some samples of the book and it looks good. I would much rather stay home and explore the book then explore the Outback but alas one must have a balance in their life!

Peggy nice to 'see' you. Sorry about your dh's aunti. That would have been quite a job clearing her house.
Thank goodness I caught the recent computer virus very early in the piece and have been very vigilant since.
One does wonder what the joy in this is, perhaps it is the power being able to inconvenience half the computer world:?:

Just about the start of the weekend for me, have a great weekend all.

Hi Everybody :grouphug:
Here I sit and wait yet once again for the delivery men to show up and remove the 'dented' stove and bring me a new one. The time frame is between 9:00AM and 1:00PM. Geez....
DH has taken the day off so that we could go to the Home Depot type stores to pick out our doors, shutters for the garage, and paint for the house and we also have to make a Costco run. He has gone to do a couple of other errands, while I wait. Oh well, at least I got all the ironing done. I wanted to bake some things for our granddaughter's birthday party which is going to be at the lake tomorrow at 2:00 but I have to wait for the stove exchange. I didn't think it would be wise to start baking and then have the delivery men show up. :D
Our good friends at the lake are having another friend visiting them and she is from Maui (she sells cond's in Maui). She has never been to Canada. Tomorrow night my friend is making Pork Tenderloin for supper and on Sunday I am preparing Calgary BBQ Ribs for all of us. The gal will be well fed when she returns to Maui. LOL
Marnie did they have those stands at the Fair that sell Funnel Cakes. I have made them a couple of times but I have never bought any. I don't even know when we have our Exhibition (sort of another name for Fair) if they even sell them. I will have to find out. The calorie count is rather high on them, but are they ever good! ;)
Ann I forgot all about looking for Mars and then I remembered last night, but it was too over cast to see anything. :( I will try again tonight.
I received an e-mail from Glenda and she said to say hello to you all from her. She is very busy at work but said she would try and get by and visit with us today. Peggy do you mean you received 500 'infected' emails?? I have a had a couple of virues lately (fortunately my Norton Antivirus is picking up on them). The one I have received about 5 times now is the one that encouages you to open the attachement claiming to be a patch for virues from Microsoft. :s: I also do not understand why anybody would waste their time making computer virues. Their lives must be pretty boring if that is what they have to do for excitement. :?:

I hope you all have a great weekend. We are going to the lake tomorrow and will return home on Monday. The weather promises to be quite nice. Maria if I don't talk to you before you leave on your camping trip, I hope you have a super time. Bye for now everybody.

Hi everyone: It sounds like everyone has a busy weekend planned.

Slavika: Have a great time at camp and Happy birthday to the Princess. Your Maui visitor will have the royal treatment. Glad to hear Glenda is doing well.

Peggy: Nice to hear from you. Sorry about your Aunt. It is a difficult job to clear out a home, when a person has been a 'pack rat' all their lives. But you just might find some treasures, too.

Marnie: Have you started to have some of those Minnisota cool nights?

Lily: I ended up not going Thursday to the meeting. so I haven't got the new material. My friend who goes, says she is going to stay on the old program, just the same, as she is doing well on that and doesn't want to get confused. I'll reserve judgement until I do go.

Maria: Would love to see more views of the 'ladies'. You are so clever, your DH just knew he could count on you to pick up your camper. Hope you have a wonderful time and have some great pictures for us when you get back. Just be careful on all those back roads, and don't get stuck in the mud, or sand or whatever. Will be waiting to see your web site when you have it up and running.

Karen: Are you able to enjoy a bit of free time now that you have less work? Hope so. Would you post the chiffon cake recipe?Or is it too long to do. It sounds very good. We have enjoyed Peggy's creamsicle cake.

Hi Trudy; Bet you will spend the holiday with your . Have a nice weekend all, and will 'see' you later. Ann

He did really good for the first time doing a web page and he even Used my PSP to do somethings. If I dont talk to you have a great time in the outback!

Slavika: Tell Princess Happy Birthday! Did the stove get in so you could cook? Your weekend sounds wonderful! Your friend is gonna love your cooking Im sure!

Ann: The program is great, and I think you will like it! I did it for 2 weeks and lost 3 pounds. Just wanted to try it so I can help others. Im now going to try and see if I have my correct target points for mainteance.
