Default Other Monday Weigh In-ers?

Morning all! Anyone else weigh in Monday mornings? I am following momentum on my own and thought an accountability space for us Mondayers might be good.

I weighed in down 2 Ibs even this morning for a total loss of 7.2. Working toward that 10 Ibs badge!

I weigh in Monday evening. I have a part time job at the YMCA, and I close on Mondays. So when I go check the women's locker room, I kick off my shoes and weigh in. I'm wearing the same clothes every week, so that's not an issue.

I weigh-in Monday evening. It isn't ideal, but I'm going to meetings this time and the only one in my area is Monday at 5:30. Let's hope it helps keep the weekend snacking at bay!
Congrats on your loss!

Nony - I used to have to weigh in during the evening. It wasn't ideal, but I tried to eat similarly on that day and tried to wear similar clothes. It worked out OK.

I'm a Monday morning weigh in person as well. It helps to keep me on track during the weekend.

Hi Monday Folks!!! I did my first weigh in this morning and lost 3 lbs! I'm happy to lose, but I was hoping for more. Maybe that is the negative of WW Connect - seeing so many folks with 5 lbs losses... But I'm gonna take my 3 and be happy!!!!

In most instances a 5 pound loss doesn't measure actual fat loss because to lose that much legitimately you would have to have a deficit of 2500 calories a day. Let's say you ate 1000 calories a day (which I do NOT recommend). You would need to burn 3500 calories a day to have that kind of deficit. Very few people can burn that number of calories even if very heavy. And, someone extremely active couldn't manage eating only 1000 calories a day. It wouldn't be a healthy way of fueling the body for that activity.

Early losses are often due to water weight during the first few weeks. Also if you were eating higher carb and then eat fewer carbs that can cause greater scale losses due to fluid losses as well. Other factors can be hormonal or due to digestion (how much food and its residue is in your body). That can change from week to week.

The reality is that many people will post about a 5 pound loss but are less likely to post when they gain or lose .2 of a pound.

3 pounds is totally fine. But, 1 pound or less would have been totally line. What is important is being consistent on the program (and even then there will be weeks with a gain for most of us) and continued to work toward your goal.
