How are you all, hopefully you are no longer in the dark:eek:
We heard on the news this morning that all around New York and as far as Canada people are without power. It looked like absolute chaos.
Makes you realise how much you take power for granted.
I have been up since very early this morning, have done the shopping, made pumpkin soup:yes: and I am now ready to get on with my webpage again and hear from the insominiacs that frequent this site;) :D
Cheers all,

Hi Everybody :grouphug:
I don't know whether anybody on our board has been "in the dark" tonight or not. I have been watching the coverage on TV and I have been thinking that I am so happy and thankful that we have power because I don't think I would last without air conditioning in my home during these hot days. The newscaster from New York was saying that there are so many apt blocks in New York where the people must be so uncomfortable with the high temperatures and no air conditioning or even fans.
I had my grandchildren today, and we had planned on going to the park but it was very hot outside and the little Princess seemed to be feeling the heat a bit. I decided instead to take them to a movie matinee to see the 3D movie called Spy Kids. They just loved it and of course it was cool in there. That was the first time they had used 3D glasses and they both got a big kick out of that. :D Actually so did I. ;)
My dryer "died" yesterday, so today when we went to the movies I stopped in at the dept. store and ordered a new dryer. YIKES....I have a new stove and fridge arriving tomorrow and a new dryer on the 20th. Probably the next thing to go will be my dishwasher as the washer is still kind of new. Friends of my son and dil just bought a cottage at the lake and they are going to take my old stove and fridge.
Talk to you all tomorrow. Night.
P.S. Maria my DH had that virus on his computer at the bank as did serveral others. Fortunately there is someone there that could clear it up. :)

G'day all,
Slavika Good to hear you are not in the dark and that you are able to use your airconditioner.
I heard on the news that there were people stuck in lifts etc. pleased it wasn't a terrorist act but nevertheless very scary if your the one stuck in the lift:fr: :fr:
Sounds like the movies was the place to be. I am not a great movie fan but the very first time I saw a 3D movie (in Sydney) I was amazed, how do they do it.:dizzy:
With the heat you are experiencing I don't suppose you will be lost without your dryer.
Seems like you are the only one up tonight! It is 1.20 friday afternoon here, there may still be some that will call in before I shut down about 5.
Cheers

I have been watching the news. Pretty sad with the heat the way it is. Just looking at the pictures, the cities are in chaos. I know it would be hard to deal with. I was in the San Fran earth quake and that was bad enough. Hope its not out to long for them :(
Slavika: Your gonna have a whole new house pretty soon! :) Getting al this new stuff, Im jealous.
Maria: I have never made Pumpkin soup before. Everyone seems to love it, guess I should try.

Glad that no one here was in the dark. It was up north in Ohio. Just to see all those people walking-can't imagine being stuck in an elevator. That would be my worst nightmare.
Maria thanks for all the dingbat fonts. I saved it and have to go check it out when I have some time to play. Been watching The Amazing Race and they have been in Australia these past two weeks. It looks so beautiful and clean. Nice change after they were in India. My nephew and his wife who moved to India were there about 2 weeks when their oldest [12] fell off a bus and broke his arm. His mom the doc had to take him to the hospital in a rickshaw.
Trudy what a nice surprise to "see" you here. How is the little angel doing?
Karen tape #3 sounds interesting. Like the fact that it only lasts for 30 min. Much longer than that does me in.
Marnie good going on the loss. I only camp in hotels. Like the convenience of close bathrooms. lol
Ann I just saw that a Curves opened close by. I will stop in and see what it is all about the next time I am up that way.
Taking a friend out for lunch today to a cool new shopping area. Upscale but a nice place to browse and Coldwater Creek is there.
See ya later,
Trudy

I think that would be the worst thing.. being stuck in an elevator. My cousin lives in Ottawa and she just got her power back on at 10:00am this morning. She and her family, had no idea what happened yesterday. All kinds of thoughts go through your mind. When she got home she saw her Mom had called, so she returned the call and her Mom kept her updated on what was going on. I would have hated being there. I heard something interesting... tourists staying in hotels could not get into their rooms because the power was out, their cards would not open the automatic locks. I guess the maintenance men were really busy, there must be some other way to open the doors. I just heard that parts of NY city won't get power back for days.
My little  is doing really well, thanks for asking Peggy. She is crawling and keeping her Mom really busy. The poor dog is suffering, she can't have her dog food or water on the floor if  is on the loose, she just heads for them everytime. She also wants the dogs toys. We thought it was going to be the other way around.. the dog would be after the baby's toys. We make a special effort to show that poor dog that we still love her... I brought her some homemade apple cinnamon dog biscuits on Wed.
Slavika I can't wait to see all your new appliances. You will be cooking up a storm, trying all kinds of new recipes with your convection oven. Too bad the dryer went, that is not an exciting thing to purchase. We were so hot yesterday, we took in a movie too. I don't think it was as good as the one you saw.
Lily Wow.. being in an earthquake. Was that the one that happened during a baseball game? We were settling in to watch that game at Candlestick Park when the earthquake hit. That would be so scarey .... hope I am never in one.
Maria I remember something my Doc told me concerning sleep. She said "do not drink or eat anything with caffeine after 2:00pm, it will bother sleep". I really don't take in much caffeine anymore, I drink de-caffinated everything... chocolate is a problem though. We need de-caffinated chocolate. How have you been doing? Thanks for starting all the new threads... I guess we should give you a break once in a while. ;)
Talk :gossip: to you later... :grouphug:

G'day all,
A magnificent :sunny: day here today but.........very cold. No doubt by a bit later today it will be just lovely in the sun.
Lily I am not much of a cook but I love pumpkin soup and it is so simple. All I do is peel a whole heap of pumpkin, chop a large onion, 2 chicken stockcubes, some chilly paste and cover the lot with water, cook for 20- 30 minutes, vitamise the lot and voila a low point delicious soup! You should give it a go.
Trudy I drink very little coffee these days and I am not a chocolate person (I love lollies like jelly snakes etc.;) )
I also got some 'stuff' to sprinkle on my pillow that is supposed to get you off to sleep. All it does make my dh go right off, he hates the smell of the stuff:D :D
It is amazing how much we use power. Many years ago we lived in Darwin for 12 months, soon after the cyclone that devastated the whole city. During this time they were still very busy rebuilding Darwin and as a consequence many power failures.
There was just so little you could do, living in a tropical climate with 2 little ones, it was no fun.
When you mentioned about tourists not being able to get into their rooms because of the card thingo, makes you think why not a normal key like the old days. We are constantly told about the shortage of electricity why waste it on something like that?
Your little  crawling, it was only yesterday that she was born
Peggy glad you liked the dingbats. I wasn't aware of the Amazing Race but dh did. I certainly have not been sorry that we never did end up going to India.
We are off to watch our son play football, should be nice sitting in the sun.
Have a great weekend all,
Cheers

Could you imagine being stuck at the top of the Empire state Building?
Slavika: You'll find just the right dress. don't get discouraged. You are really going to have a whole new house. We just got our ceilings painted. They certainly look much brighter.
Maria: I like all those little smurfs fonts. They used to be a part of the lil Abner comic strip. I expect that you will be planning your camping trip. I did that a with tent and then trailer and motorhome for 20 years, and I finnaly said 'enough'. Now we stay in motels and hotels and visit friends.
Peggy: Glad you weren't affected by the blackouts? What a mess.We certainly do take our power for granted. The over all effects were very wide spread. People here at out airports had to lay over instead of getting home.
Trudy: Nice to hear from you again. How is your little ? I can't believe that she is crawling already. Is the dog good with here. Sometimes when a dog has been the center of attention, it is hard to deal with a little creeper.
Karen: That tape sounds interesting. But since I'm doing the curves thing, I won't need it.
Lily: I can't imagine being in an earthquake. Those California quakes are usually of quite a magnitude. I guess we all have our particular problems in whatever area of the world we live in.
Marnie: Good going. You'll just keep on going down bit by bit. It sure is hard not to get discouraged now and again, especially when one has been so good and faithful, and then the results dont show on the 'metal monster'. :D:
Have a great week end everyone. Ann

Trudy: Glad the angel is doing so well. Think its funny she goes after the Dog stuff! :) I use to get Dog biscuits when I was a little wee one.
Yes it was the earthquake that happened during the ball game. I was at work and really didnt think anything bad happened. It was an earthquake and they are quite comman there. I was getting ready to leave and was on my way to the bathroom when it hit. I heard some of the equipment at work fall and then the lights went out. Traffic was so bad in getting home that it took me nearly 2 hours for a 30 minute drive. Didnt realize the magnitude of it until I got in my car and heard the news reports.
Nothing bad happened to our apartment, but we spent the night on the Patio with Candles and cooked on a camping stove.
Maria: The pumpkin soup does sound good so I will give it a shot. Would make a nice lunch. I love soup :)
Ann: No wouldnt want to be stuck in the Empire state bulding
Yes we all have the different disasters. You get Hurricanes. Thanks but no thanks I will take an Earthquake any time. I think it depends on what you are use to. ;)
Peggy: I agree being stuck in an elvator would be the worse. Specially when its so hot! Heard on the news where it took the fireman 8 hours to get some people out. :o
Off to do some Sat errands. Nothing fun.
Tommorrow is our big WW meeting. Looking forward to it! :balloons:

Trudy glad to hear that the little:angel: is doing well. Hope the dog stays out of her way now that she is mobile. I bet she is really a cutie. Decaf chocolate would be good as long as it still tasted good. I love that Lindt chocolate. Never thought about not being able to get into a hotel room.
Slavika do you have all of your new toys? Would love to have a convection oven.
Maria sometimes I spray a lavender-chamomile thing on my pillow. Dh doesn't like too much either. I keep forgetting that you are having winter. It is so hot and humid here this past week I feel like I am melting.
Lily I have never been in an earthquake. Actually we had a minor one in the area a few years back. My friends house had a little shaking. There is some kind of fault around here. I hate the tornadoes that we get.
The yard sale that we wait for every year was today. A greeting card rep sells his samples for .10 each. I bought 50 so I am well stocked up now.
Going to take the dog for a walk and hope to see the deer in the park. The little ones are so cute.

G'day all,
Well good for you Ann for saying 'no' to anything other than hotels or motels. There is quite a bit of tension in the house with the planning of the forthcoming trip to the outback. Unfortunately there are NO motels where dh is planning to go. It is so remote that we take a sattelite phone!
I probably would not be quite so anti if I felt a bit better, but I get little sleep in my own comfortable bed let alone on a thermarest in a sleeping bag in a tent:mad: :rolleyes:
At this time of the year it is warm during the day but very cold at night.
Lily how scarey, it is just as well that half the time we don't know how serious some of these catastrophies are until it is over.
Peggy hope you remember you bought 50 cards. I do things like that and then forget I did :dizzy:
Sounds a good 'yard sale though.
I went to a local monthly market yesterday and bought some great plants, come on spring!!!
We bought a weeping Mulberry tree for my newly designed front garden. We lashed out and bought a 2 metre tall one. It is the focal point in our garden. Of course it is winter and the tree is totally bare until yesterday when I saw the first green buds ready to burst open.:cp:
Have a great day all,

I'm just having fun making all the quick searches.
Slavika: By the time you are all finished, you are going to be all brand new. Of course a dryer is a necessity, but you'll probably get the one with all the 'bells and whistles' Might as well get the best.:D:
Maria: I guess you are really going to be roughing it on your camping trip. You can tell your DH that with Fibro that sort of a trip wouldn't be a good idea.:D: He can go with a buddy who likes that sort of stuff. Just a thought.

Hi Everybody :grouphug:
It was time for me to take a little break. I have been working at one thing or another ever since I got up this morning, which was early as the fellow that is doing the soffits on house was here at 7:00 and banging up a storm. :)
I am now waiting for the "ceramic man" to arrive. He said late in the afternoon so I really don't know what time he will be here.
My stove and fridge arrived. The stove had a big dent in it so the people at the store said to just go ahead and use it (don't even bother to clean it when they pick it up) and they will be sending me out a new one on Aug 28th. The fridge seems fine. I can't remember if I told you or not that I decided on a blue kitchen counter and I "think" I want a white ceramic tile backsplash with the odd blue tile. I'll know better after the fellow has been here.
ANN the dryer I chose has a big drum so that I can dry blankets, comforters and such and it also comes with a drying rack for sneakers, caps and stuff. It certainly was not the top of the line but I think it will be good enough. :)
We went to the lake for the weekend. Our 9 year old grandson got up on ONE ski and made a big loop around the the lake. DH was in the boat but I was cheering loudly from the dock. :) :bravo: He was so pleased with himself that he just walked around with a big grin on his face for the rest of the day.
It seemed that we were always eating at the lake. I tried not to overdo but gosh sometimes its difficult. :(
Maria I don't know what a Mulberry Tree looks like so I will look for one on the interent.
Talk to you all soon.

G'day all,
Tension is easing here;) :D
We have agreed on a comprimise and we are hiring an 'off road camper trailer'
For a closer look visit this site:
http://www.adventureoffroadtrailers.com.au/set%20up%201.1.htm
It certainly seems a lot more comfortable than a tent! But then again what isn't!
Ann I like your thinking;) but I am willing to give it a go. I also would like to see more of the outback and in particular go to the Birdsville races.
This site gives you perhaps more of an idea of the remoteness of the place
http://www.exploroz.com.au/Feature/BirdsvilleRaces/default.asp
I am not a race fan but this is quite unique.
Slavika all these men in your life just coming and going;) Just enlighten me, what are 'soffits'?
How disappointing about your stove with the dent. I bet you will have had more then enough of all these men coming and going but what a joy to then sit back and enjoy your new things.
When we get to do our US/Canada trip I am really looking forward to seeing the 'Lakes', it sounds so idyllic.
An addition to the family for our dd, her little schnoodle puppy has been born and is now 1 week old. She is very excited.
They are thinking of a name and are thinking 'Fuji'. This is the reasoning if you can follow:D
schnoodle = apple strudel = apple = Fuji (a type of apple that I assume is available in your part of the world)
I think it is kinda cute, I certainly cannot think of anything other than Rover, Blackie etc.:D
My webpage is finally coming together, boy it has not been easy doing it a little different than I have been used to.
Have a great day all,
Cheers

Maria: I see what you meant about remote. And the trailer will be a big help. I expect you would go with your 4wd vehicle, in order to visit the trails around there. How long do you plan to be gone? I hadn't realized the extent of the races. Bet there are some beautiful horses racing. One of my favorite animals. I think thata the horse has softest nose of any animal. As a matter of fact, I don't think there is anything else that can compare with that velvet feeling of a horses nose. :D:
Taking a little time off from my labors, Washed window and curtains. And with this fast service, it is wonderful to not have to wait for so long to go from one site to another. I was amazed at how quickly I could view the pages you posted.
Slavika: Kids are a lot of fun, and especially when thay can accomplish something like that. They are so proud of themselves. Your weekend sounded like fun.
I still haven't received any email notification from posts to our new address. I expect it takes a bit of time for 3FC to update info.

G'day all,
Well I am up at a ridiculously early time of 4.05am:mad:
Everything is going through my mind and more and I just cannot get back to sleep.
Ann Isn't it fantastic once you have fast internet access. I love it but because of the speed getting to different sites, I tend to surf even more than I did before:dizzy:
Yes we will be taking our 4x4 wheel drive for the trip, you can take an ordinary car but it is pretty rough. We are keeping an eye out on the roads (http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/quicklinks/northern_roads/area4.asp) this website is continually updated with advise of the state of the roads. Any heavy rainfall and the roads become impassable hence the need to take a sattelite phone. Sattelite phones are very expensive, we will be away for 8 days, the cost of connection for the 8 days is $125.00 and if we had to make a call, it would be $3.00 per minute  The initial outlay is around the $4000, dh got this one from his work, it was surplus to requirement and we got it very cheaply.
It really is just a security thing and we hope not to have to use it.
No other news from this end, I think I will go and see what is on cable, probably some rivetting show from the year dot:D
Talk to you later.........

Ann: Im sure you are loving your cable access. It does make things faster! Updates should be imediate. I would check to make sure where you check off to get notifacations that its still checked. Maybe it didnt take.
Maria: My sister had one of those a long time ago. They really like it. And you right much better than a tent any day :) Your trip sounds so fun. I would like to go to the outback sometime. Actually I would seattle for anywhere in Australia. Would love to visit it sometime.

Hi Maria and Lily
Soffits are a aluminum type sheeting that comes in many different colours (to match or contrast) with the colour of your house. We had green shingles put on the roof and then a green "fascia" which is made out of an aluminum substance too that never requires painting and that is put around the perimeter house roof which is usually just wood and you paint it and then the eves (also in green) will be put on top of the fascia. You know the overhang of a house (the underneath part) well that is where the SOFFITS go and they will never need painting again either. :)
Talk to you all later. :)

Maria I am eating a Fuji apple from New Zealand as we :gossip:, it is quite good. The camper you are renting looks quite nice.
I cannot sleep on the ground. The 2 times I tried were an absolute nightmare and will not EVER do it again. I couldn't sleep at all. The first time was 20 years ago, we were invited to spend a weekend with friends... it started out great, but they had unexpected relatives show up so we had to sleep in one of those outdoor kitchens, hard floor all screened in. I never slept at all and looked like someone pulled me through a knothole backwards the next day. The 2nd time was around 8 yrs ago, my DH and DD and I still had our cottage, we took the boat out to see these beautiful falls. It was a lovely hot day so DH and DD just went in bathing suits, I however was smart enough to be dressed properly (a little sarcasm here :s: ). The lakes had high water that year, and there was a lot of wild rice in that area, so on the way back my DH missed the turn off to our lake, kept on going and we ended up in a lake that no one ever goes to.... and then ran out of gas. We managed to paddle that big boat to a rocky shore, and assessed the situation.. it was after 4:00pm and it looked grim. The lake wasn't that big, but big enough. I don't know how long we sat there until we saw a little canoe enter the mouth of the lake. We waved frantically... they paddled to an island. We really got worried then. As it turned out they did see us but were going to ignore us because they wanted peace and solitude that is why they came in the first place. Thank goodness they started to feel sorry for us because they got back into their canoe and headed to us. By the time they got to us it was really quite late and they were tired from all the paddling so they shared their tent and fire and food with us. They even gave my DH and DD some clothes to put on, the mosquitoes can be horrible. The ground was so uneven and rocky even with the padding of the tent it was the worst time. My DH slept beautifully.. nothing ever bothers his sleep. Meanwhile, our friends knew we went to the falls, they didn't see us come back, they checked the cottage and knew something was wrong. DH never left things laying around and the windows were open and they saw our little dog looking pretty lonely and pathetic. It was dusk when they notified the RCMP. It was too late to do anything, but first light in the morning they had search plane and a couple of boats out looking for us. They found us eating hot oatmeal and drinking cocoa with our new friends.
These lakes are not heavily populated and the wilderness can start right across the road from you cottage. A lot of people get lost hiking or blueberry picking. We got lost boating.. believe me we had to take a lot of good natured ribbing after that.
Well, I had no idea I would post so much, probably more than you wanted to know. We just came back from a casino/shopping jaunt into the US. We had a great time. I won $187.00 on quarters and my DH won the nickel jackpot ..5,000 /$250.00.. We also picked a bit more and lost some, but ended up winners for a change.
Talk to you later... a big :grouphug:

G'day all,
Trudy Thanks for sharing your adventure on the lake.
As I am reading it, you sound as though you were very cool, calm and collected.
I would have been besides myself:eek:
I could feel the mosquitos and certainly 'felt' the uneven ground to try and sleep on.:(
Lets hope we won't have a similar story after our trip to the Outback. MY dh is extremely safety conscious and these days there is so much on the market and whilst I complain of all the expense for the different safety gadgets (like GPS, 2way radio, satelite phone, I could go on but won't!) I guess if we were to be stranded it would be because of weather.
As I only 'said' to Slavika a few days ago, your lakes just sound so peaceful and idyllic.
By the way, great win at the Casino!
Lily what is stopping you coming to Australia:D ;) , the US$ is not worth quite as much as what it was 12 months ago, that is probably the reason!
Have you been on your camping trip yet?
Slavika thanks for your explanation of 'soffits'. I am a bit thick ;) and still was not too sure and then found the following:
If a house were a human body then the soffit would be the armpit. The soffit occupies a similar location with respect to the structure. It is the area on the underside of what is commonly referred to as the overhang. The overhang serves two purposes: 1) it protects the siding from excessive weather; and 2) it creates a place for the soffit.
Though the soffit and armpit perform similar functions, the soffit does not produce sweat. Through a screened opening, it allows air into the attic. The air cycles to the vents to carry heat and moisture out of the house. This is important because moisture in the attic will cause rot in sheathing and rafters.
The armpit analogy made me understand:D I do hate damp soffits!!!!!!
I received my business registration yesterday, it was addressed to the 'proprietor of MES Designs', sounds all very real now!
I will be applying for my domain name today and then get that website up and going.
Lots to do.
Cheers

Slavika: Thanks! I now know what a soffits is sort of. I leave those things to hubby  Hows the house coming?
Maria: If DH evers gets a job, Australia here I come! I have been putting some money away as I really would like to come there. Dont know where I just want to go. From all your pictures its so pretty. I think I could spend a month there with no problem, and still want to go back again.
Congrats on getting the registration! Looking forward to seeing your site!

G'day everyone,
I don't know if Jamie Oliver (The naked chef) is known in your part of the world but...........his new cookbook was accidently sent over the email and is now circulating around the world.
I received it as a Word Attachment, at first I was reluctant to open it and ran my virus scanner over it but it is fine with some great recipes but not WW:(
It has 117 pages. It didn't take long for it to come through but I do have a ADSL connection (very fast)
If any of you would like me to forward it to you, just email me at amscholz@bigpond.com
Nice to get a freeby:D

Hi Maria We get the Naked Chef on the Food/tv Channel, although I notice he is calling it simply "Oliver" now. My Mom likes to watch the Food network, but would never watch him.., maybe that is why he changed the name here, lots of little old ladies were afraid to watch. Do you have to download the recipes when you open the attachment? This is probably a stupid question. I have ADSL connection too.
"Proprietor of MES Designs" sounds very impressive. Good luck on this venture.
I like the armpit analogy. Breathable soffits are very important here, especially in winter. You get snow build up on the roofs, then get a thaw, the sun partially melts the snow turning it into ice, the ice jams back into the shingles, and then in the next thaw you get water dripping out of the soffits, when it turns colder this turns to ice and all sorts of problems occur. It isn't easy living in this climate.. you have to be tough.., and probably not too bright.
Lily we too would love a trip to Australia some day. It would take you 1 day less that us to fly. Someone told me it was approx $3,000.00 for a return flight. Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing bothers my DH sleep. He gets way more sleep than I do, and he can nap during the day too. :dz:
My Mom has a :mouse: in her apt again.. third time this summer. She is on the 2nd floor an apparently this mouse problem can occur to 4 floor up. I am quite peeved... I phoned her manager yesterday and told her that this is unacceptable, they have to find out where they are getting in and get rid of them immediately. My Mom is timid and doesn't want to bother anyone, in the meantime she is very uncomfortable in her own home. I was there today, cleaning out her lower cupboard shelves, sure enough, those horrible droppings were all over. I will have to do it again once they catch this little vermin. I told them to pull out the stove and fridge to check for any openings, I know they can squeeze into a very tiny opening.
'Bye guys..:grouphug:

Trudy: :mouse: :yikes: Your poor mom! Hope the manager does something. I agree its un acceptable. My hubby did find some reasonable flights for Australia last year. We were thinking of going before he got laid off. But they were 1500$ for both of us. It included, Melbourne, Sydney, and Carins. He is good at finding deals. Was a 18 hour trip from San Fran if I remember right.
Maria: Never heard of the Naked Chef before. I will pass on the book. I have so many recipes that Im not using now. I dont need to add to the collection and dust :chef:
It rained here today for a change. Made it nice. Could even turn off the Air conditioner :)
Later!

G'day all,
End of another week. I feel I have achieved quite a bit this week:)
Our camping trip will go ahead however not sure if we get where we want to go, lot of rain forecast in the area where we will be travelling. Just will have to wait and see.
Trudy As much as I would like to see Canada (and I WILL one day ;) ) I don't know if I could live there permanently with all the cold weather you have. The soffits are making a lot more sense now:)
It is a lot of money to come to Australia as it is for us to go to the US and Canada. When dh finally retires we hope to be able to use our frequent flyer points, at least for one of our fares to the US. We also have some shares that we intend to cash in and use for this trip. So it is not just 'pie in the sky', we are definetly planning to come, probably in about 2 to 3 years time.
Lily I know what you mean about cookbooks, I have so many and if I have made one recipe out of each one, I would be going extremely well. I cannot resist them though.
This is the book I have as a Word Document with pictures and all, I am happy to email to anyone interested.
Good Morning:
Maria: I'll pass on the book too, as I too am a cookbook freak and have 3 shelves full. I hope you don't get rained out. That would be too bad after all the careful planning. An Austrailian visit has always been a dream of mine, but guess that I will have to be satisfied with pictures and travelogues on t.v.
It is interesting that most of us have DH's who can sleep through anything.
Trudy. My DH is asleep more that an hour every night before I even come to bed. He has his afternoon nap, and jokes that he has to have a nap at night to rest up before he goes to bed.:D: I've begun to think it is a 'man' thing. What do you think?
Went to Curves this morning and had a good workout. I really like doing this 3 times a week. My South Beach program is coming along well, and I really like it. I guess I am doing a combination of the WW low carb program and the SB. They are so
much alike.
