Well, only 2 1/2 more weeks before I have to deal with the ex again. I actually get to meet the gf this time. Its been 2 yrs since they have been dating. Nope, no pressure, .........she's blonde, tall, and built!! nope, no pressure!!! Im going to be travelling in a car for 2 days before the big meet and Im going to look like a sack of (well you get the picture) Man!! I really need to keep focused and not start stress eating!! On the plus side, she has a really really big nose :devil: (Im taking what I can get) :lol:

I think my dd and I have got all her back to school shopping done. She managed to pick out 2 skirts that werent too tarty looking. We nixed all the dresses. I told her only "not very nice" ladies wear clothes like that, and that we could see her boobs, and that "space" between her boobs. She's only 6 for god sakes, I shouldnt have to explain this to a 6 yr old!!!

We are off to see "Freaky Friday" today, something I think both of us will thoroughly enjoy.

Good Morning Ladies! I'm seriously back on Induction, die hard this time around. After all it has to come off doesn't it? I figure if I can keep this up till the inlaws get here, I can look a lot better than I do right now. I alwasy loose a lot of water weight at first and since TOM is here that means I'll get a nice visit from the whoosh fairy! :)

On another note, my computer broke down so I have to use dh's till further notice. It'll be about 350 bucks to fix it too. Not very happy about that but what's a girl to do? I'll just throw that on the water fiasco and go from there....

Robin hon, don't worry about her. She probably doesn't have half the character you do and that's why your ex is showing her off. He figures he can get to you, but hear this hon, you have WAY more going on than she does--so there! :)

The Fly Lady has certainly paid a visit to my house. I can't believe all the rare and unusual scents as I go from room to room. Lemon scented Mr. Clean, Feebreeze in the bedrooms and office, bleach in the kitchen. It's amazing what the prospect of a guest will do. I also got my garden cleaned up pretty good although I never really get caught up with it. Just looked out the window and the big orange garbage bag full of weeds is sitting right in the driveway where Peter was supposed to pick it up and take it away, dang it!
Another surprise is that from the time that Ruth's plane landed it has been raining. We've only had a brief sprinkle in weeks but we've been getting a pretty good downpour this morning. I'm sure she has brought it with her. We were having a humdinger of a heat wave.

A lazy day finally! Really long work week and now I can rest and go shopping, I literally have 2 pairs of pants that fit my right. Pamper day for me, finding my way to the spa for a massage, pedicure, the works. And the finace is out of town for the weekend, so some alone time too, YAY!

Linda, I'm in Winnipeg, just on the east edge of western canada but I still count it, :lol:

Hi ladies I have been really absent lately....school starts on Tuesday, we have karate, soccer has started...shall I go on....dance and preschool are in two weeks, and silly me besides my full time job, I have taken on some consulting work for a local company with 4 locations in the southeast..I have lost my mind...what was left of it....well, back to the kitchen..I am making dinner...off to the lake tommorrow after church..... :)

Made it to Linda's place without getting lost. Too bad Pooky and Tummy couldn't see my wave because of the clouds. :lol:

Linda's garden is fabulous. It stopped raining so we had a tour. She looks pretty fabulous herself too! Right now she's cooking something that smells incredible.

I take the seaplane to Nanaimo tomorrow to see my DD MEW and the grandbabies. It's so nice to have just myself to take care of.

I'll check in from Nanaimo during the week. Be good!

Good evening, folks! Been a long day. Mom called at 7:45 to say Good morning, and that Dad and a friend were on the way over to our place to start working. Soooooo we had about 15 minutes notice and then whammo, digging ditches and clearing brush for the next 4-5 hours. We are having drainage problems from so much rain, so we have to pour concrete behind the house and put in some underground pipes to carry off the rainwater. I had to clear brush in the alley so we'd have somewhere to dump all the extra dirt. We're pooped.

I hurt my finger. I took a nap and slept on it. How dumb! It is my middle finger on my right hand. I can't believe how much I use it - I can't do dishes, (poor me!) but I also cannot write, I can hardly type, Rob had to cut up my meat in little pieces, the bathroom is a nightmare, etc.!

Well, off to make a couple of more posts, and then to nurse my finger on an ice pack.

Glad you made it safely Ruth, and it was just pouring here about the time you would have been flying over.

When to the movies yesterday with friends, first time since I've been carb free and holy wow the popcorn smelt awful, someone burnt it, thank god for small miracles! All relaxed today after a fabulous massage so time to clean up this darn apartment so it looks fit for human habitation again. I'll just work all those muscle kinks right back darn it all.

Jennifer, sorry to hear about the finger, and gee how are you supposed to drive without that particular finger! ;)

The suns out already, going to be a cooker here today. OP for the weekend so far (small miracles everywhere this weekend!)

Ruth has left me again but we had a lovely visit. Just not long enough. Oh well, maybe next time. We both managed to stay OP. I found a recipe in one of the Atkins cookbooks and, with a bit of fiddling around, it was pretty good. Pork Tenderloin medallions in sour cream sauce. With it I made some Mock Mashed Potatoes which weren't bad at all. Still tasted like cauliflower but not bad. ;) I had also made a salad with tomatoes and artichokes on a bed of lettuce with goat cheese and toasted walnuts. Got it out of a magazine and I'm impressed enough that I just might make it again some day.
I've been trying to phone our daughter in Scotland to wish her a happy birthday but her line has been busy for over an hour. She's not online so I guess she's yacking it up with one of her old pals. I can't believe she's 33 today. Where has the time gone?
Nice and cool today here in the west with possible showers later. It's very nice after our long hot spell.

Everyone has gone to bed and i am the lone camper awake. DH hurt his back ( he and FIL came in 3rd in their tourney this weekend) so I have been packing for the 4 of us.

We had a nice morning in willmington, and a wonderful afternoon at the beach. The waves got too rough so we came home...wanna hear something funny? Little man hads an outtie belly button ( nothing I have ever known...lol) and he was body surfing all afternoon and rubbed it raw in the sand! LOL poor little guy! A little noeosporen and he is on the mend!

So we are off to home tomorrow and I am thinking of Peach tonight knowing she is awake too.
