Hello all,

I am new to posting on these boards but I did want to post a tiny NSV today. I usually really love drinking soda (Coke and Barq's root beer, to be precise) but because I do wish to lose weight and generally become healthier I have cut these items out (not for good..I will have them once in a blue moon). I have been soda free for almost two weeks but today I almost did have a Coke. It was a bit stressful at work today (I work in human services) and a nice, fizzy Coke just seemed so good to me...BUT...I remembered what I am working for and figured that I was better than a soda so I just drank water instead LOL I never thought that I would pat myself on the back for abstaining from soda but I felt so weirdly proud of myself Congrats to everyone for their victories! We can and will do this

Awesome work! I was also tempted today...to eat a veggie wrap as a random snack in between meals...but resisted so I really feel for you. I had that veggie wrap sitting on my desk for two hours before I binned it. That was a tough call.

Hey ! I am proud of you. Coke was my big nemesis also. I did it and you can too. The next time your car battery is gunky or rusty poor a coke on it and see what happens. Think about it . What can it do to you if it can do that do a battery?
