Let's all MOOOve to Oregon!
We'll start a Cow Village. Maybe we could have a cult. Anyone want to be a cult leader?
It's pouring rain here, much like yesterday. Wow, this is one rainy August. My hair likes it, though.
I made meatloaf last night. I love meatloaf. DH loves meatloaf. DD positively hates meatloaf. How is this possible?

Lush is the leader. Always has been and always will be. She is SUPREME BOSSINESS.
It's a private school bus. They don't have to advertise.
I am fully aware that you are all ignoring me and my problems and I don't care. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. So there.
Now I'm going to the city to the mall to buy Cephalon. Yay. On sale.

Oh ICK! What a bummer!
Would you believe I'm allergic to cherries?
True enough, Bagz, I have just about had enough rain for this summer.
We ate a homegrown cucumber yesterday! Little pleasures for little brains.
I just finished an Anite Shreve book: Weight of Water. It was very interesting; about a group of islands off the Maine/NH coast that we have actually visited.
Now I'm going to start the new Margaret Atwood.

No, hate is the right word.
I didn't think they still had unaccompanied minors since they put that kid on the wrong plane and let him off alone in the middle of the desert.
I got the Cephalon but they had sold out and had to get it elsewhere and shipped to me. Wouldn't take cash. Had to use Herbie's credit card which for some reason I still have. Will send him a check.
Kiwi I just read Riven Rock by T.C. Boyle and it was WONDERFUL. Now I would be reading The Fig Eater but I lost it. Also wonderfull.
Both set in early 1900th century and researched well.
(of course I don't hate YOU Bagzie. I meant the others)

Color = invisible on my laptop!
Glad to know assorted children are back in their appropriate places and that Cephalon was available. I still stick (hahahaha) to my revere ware most of the time, although eating out has made it much easier to clean.
Glad to know some of you are literate and reading things besides these posts. I'm bogged down in The Other Boleyn Girl... told from the point of view of Ann Boleyn's sister who was supposed to marry HenryVIII. Lots of sibling rivalry and gossip and political strategizing. I am glad I wasn't a woman THEN. Boy, we think that Hillary R.C. has/had it bad... at least she's not likely to get beheaded!
Has anybody read The Dress Lodger? My daughter recommended it to me... sounded strange.
When does the exodus to Oregon begin?
If you are in charge, please send rain to Texas.
I don't understand the reference to "private bus"... I obviously missed something. I care though. Realllllllly I do. Cowpeaches, what do you want us to do to SHOW you we care?
I am tired tired of having to "work" on weight loss. I'd like the pounds to just plop off. Preferably not where they would ruin the finish on the floor or soil the carpet.
Suggestions?

Bagzina, Cephalon is a brand of pots and pans. The good stuff.
A private school bus is a school bus owned and operated by a private school.

I was betting on it being an antibiotic.
I read The Nanny Diaries too -- it was a riot!
I lost my post and I can't think of what I was talking about, so you are all spared any further ramblings.

We read that book, too. It was pretty funny.
I'm now listening to Tale of Two Cities. It is good.
Call about the bus. Someone will know.
Shoulder recovering....not supposed to be on computer.

Nope, that's not my weight, or what I've lost. It is the boiling temperature here. Yikes. I think I'm going to have poached mocking bird in the bird bath... With or without thyme, rosemary and basil.
Do you think the tomatoes my neighbor has will cook themselves?
This has been a strange week... probably because I'm off schedule. I'll go back to journals, then go to bed. I haven't had a whole evening (or meal home) all week. No wonder I can't stick with salads or cottage cheese.
