Are you planning any rewards for yourself when you reach goal? I am doing 10 pound rewards with small stuff like new jeans, manicure etc... With the grand prize of a trip to Aruba :dizzy:

What are you doing for yourself?

My reward will be a healthy way of life something I have wanted to reward myself with for years.

I have also done the 10 pound rewards, such as a manicure, massage, new shirt, new tennis shoes, new video, etc. When I reach goal my hubby is giving me $10 for each pound lost to buy a new wardrobe!!! Three more to go and I'll get $580.00!!!

I love the idea of small rewards at each 10-pound mark! What a great way to give yourself incentive to keep going, and also to reward yourself for a good job. I'm going to do the same thing. :)

When I reach my goal, I'm going to reward myself with a shopping spree.....first stop will be Victoria's Secret, and then on to find lots of fun new clothes. Maybe I'll even buy a......(gasp).....Bathing Suit! I can't wait!

Well, right now the money is still pretty tight so the treats are allowing myself to buy stuff that helps keep me on track. Today I bought coconut flavoring, and a few SF pudding and jello boxes to make some of those yummy desserts you have all been making!!! Once DH starts his new job and we have saved a bit of money I think I will move to Ottawa into Ellis' apartment and just live the life of leisure!!!! But seriously (scared you, didn't I Ellis?) Probably I'll invest in some new clothes!!!

I read a thread on preventions forum that talked about making a beaded necklace with the beads SBD on it. Then for every pound lost you could add a colored bead. for each week that you follow SBD you can add a gold bead. Someone even suggested you buy small sea shell like beads. It might be an inexpensive way to motivate me!!! I might try it.;)

I think the idea of setting small goals and rewarding yourself for meeting them! But for me it works better if my goals aren't weight loss oriented, but behaviorial. That way the scale isn't in danger of ending up in the trash. So, if I meet my goal of talking a walk every day this week I think I'll just have to have a nice, long bubblebath! I'd had to scrub the tub first, but what the heck...I'm worth it! He he

Some of the stuff I have planned as rewards are:

A manicure (first I have to grow some nails!)

A new bathing suit in something other than black

A picnic at the park with my 7 yo son!:jig:

A session with my sewing machine...guiltfree

We have already booked a cruise for our 10th anniversary, so I guess that will be my BIG reward! :sunny:

Hi ladies:

I'm with dentrassi ... mostly broke and buying stuff that keeps me on track is a treat ... and I have clothes in 3 different sizes so unfortunately a shopping spree is out ... I think maybe a really nice piece of jewelry ... some kind of pin to represent my accomplishment.

Congrats didi on the wedding ...

Can I get Idealpersons husband after Ellis???

I think my end reward is going to be getting my entire wardrobe altered. I better start saving now. (I'm kind of a shop-a-holic. There's no way I could replace all these clothes. I love them all too much!!)

Maybe each 10 lbs. will constitute a 30 minute massage. That sounds pretty good. I only have 6 lbs. to go for my first.

My father-in-law also offered my husband and me $10 for every pound we lose before Christmas. And with that and some money I've made having purse parties, I want to buy a new (very expensive) lens for my camera!!!!

Coconut flavouring... yum, yum!!

I love the necklace/bracelet idea, too!

I guess my big deal will be to buy myself a new pair of jeans. I buy most of my stuff second hand (bar underwear and socks :D ), but I DO like to have a good pair of jeans.
And once we've got our apartment rented and I have a little extra income, maybe I'll take a hundred bucks to the Sally Anne and go wild. :)

Bobo, what's a purse party?! And a lens... you're a photographer? Years ago I took a photography class and LOVED it! A dark-room would be divine...

Brady, I like your idea of getting some clothes altered. I was thinking of going to a tailor and having a few of my favourites reproduced. Although I should really just sit down at my sewing machine and do it myself...

When I get to goal, I am going to go to Ottawa and spend big bucks on clothes. I may even take my sister along as she has a superb fashion sense and will be very honest with me.

When I get to 189, I am going to cut into a length of turquoise heavy silk and make a fabulous shirt! (I paid $200 for that silk and it's been sitting there for about 6 years.) I guess I didn't think I was worth it then but I do now!

I love the 10# idea!

I have lost 8pds so far and thought I would treat myself to a new hairstyle;)

Ultimately when all the weight comes off I want a breast reduction!:flow2:

Ellis, I'm not really a photographer, just a wanna be!! I LOVE it, but I'm really just learning. I dont' have a studio or anything. I just kind of do it as a hobby. I'm a jack of all trades and a master of NONE!!!! A purse party is just where I take all my little handmade bags and show them as samples, and I take tons of fabric and let the people pick out their coordinating fabrics, lining, trim, and then I put it together!!! Handmade bags are the in thing around here-with all kinds of beads, fringe, or whatever!! The wilder the better!!! My company is called "Not Just Bags" and I do purses, embroidery, towel wraps with monogramming or embroidered designs, some jewelry, smocked dresses, and sew kids' clothes!! Just whatever!!!! I hope that's not considered advertising!! Just telling you a little about myself! I have a teaching degree and taught for 7 years, but I'm staying home with my little one right now, so I gotta feel like I'm contributing a little, and this way I can do it and still be with her!!!!!1

Karen, I had a breast reduction back in '86 and it was the best thing I ever did. I was a 36EEE! Went down to a C, after gaining weight I'm up to a 42DD,not bad. It'll come back off.

I read a WW article about a woman who lost alot of weigh and what she did to reward herself was purchased an expensive watch. Every time she is tempted to eat something bad she looks at her watch and tells herself she doesn't have the TIME to take the #'s off again. I like that idea, I'm going to do the same.

Karen... great idea getting a breast reduction! I have a few friends who've had it done, and it makes so much sense! I'm very small in the chest and used to regret it, but now I'm VERY happy with my size.

Barb, you WILL get down in size again!
The watch idea is great! If only I weren't so clumsey... I suppose I could get one of those "mountain climbing/sky diving/deep sea diving" watches. Indestructible. :D

Kim, I really envy you your hobby! I'm going to get a digital camera sometime this year, but it just doesn't interest me the way the "older cameras" do. It was such a thrill deveoping my own photos. And I LOVE black and white photography...
And what a cool business you've got! :smoking:
I did something similar about 12 years ago. I decided (to my surprise) that I was going to stay at home with our children, and I started a soap-making and natural bath/body product business. I did a lot of craft shows, etc, and at one point joined a group of people in a co-op and had a store for a year. It was a hoot. But it's not a HUGE money-maker, and I dropped it about 5 years ago.
Also, when I first started, I was one of only a few making soap, etc. Within about 3 years of starting my business, it seemed like EVERYONE was doing it! I like to be "different", and it was very annoying. ;)

Ruth, if you'd wait until you get down to 169, you could make ME a shirt out of that fabric, too! :D

Sorry Girls, but I'm keeping my husband, but a little competition could be fun!

Don't ya wish you could just give some of your breast size to small breasted women or give some fat to these frail little ladies who need to put on weight? "Here Sweetie have 20# of mine" Life would be soo good, enjoy the weekend!

Hi all, I am new around here, today is day one, phase 1, but it's never to early to think about a reward. New clothes. I so want to change my image, maybe some cute printed capri pants, or something other than tee shirts and jeans...
