Default Katts Christmas Challenge 2014

HELLOOOOOOOOO

Yep .. its that time of the year again .. and you may be wondering why, when I am in Two-town, am I setting up this challenge in the 300+ club ... simple .. this is where I started .. and this is where I continue .. I may not be in Threeville anymore .. but I still remember what it was like and how hard it was just getting up some days .... so hopefully you won't mind me continuing on here

This challenge is also open for EVERYONE ... doesn't matter what your starting weight is ... I hope you will jump on board and join in ... I did this last year when I was in the 300s still and managed to achieve 50 pounds in the time frame for the challenge .. I dont have that aim for this one, but its still a challenge and I offer my full support to anyone that wants to join in with me for this challenge.

RULES - well .. just check in at least once a week would be nice with your weigh in .. but really .. would love you to pop in more often and just share your day or thoughts or worries or fears .. keep in mind we are all on the same journey, regardless of how much or little the goal, what we think is a great weight in our minds, may not be in the other persons.

Just copy and post the following .. set a goal you think is realistic for you .. make it a little challenging .. but dont make it unrealistic because one thing I have learnt on this journey if you make it tooooo hard then when you keep missing a goal you feel like you just can't do it altogether.

For those that have been with me on these journeys for the last year I welcome you back on into the melee ... and lets take a deep breathe and see what we can do to finish off the year

Hi everyone so far Thanks for joining in with me Hopefully be a good challenge for everyone .. and WATCH good plan ... Im hoping to reach my goal by the end of the year so 2015 is all about maintaining

Not a good start to my week .. have to stay home cos I was sick yesterday and not a lot better today .. but I am rostered for tomorrow off anyway so hopefully this is just my body needing a recharge break for a couple of days, but I will be doing a little cleaning up in the kitchen cos I just got a bunch of lovely jars for me to store the goodies and things from my baking, as well as some I will probably use to put into my Xmas baskets for home made goodies to go in (with a ribbon around). ... just need to find something to store them all in so that will mean clearing out a few things so I can fit in the bookcase from my hunnys room lol .. cheaper than me going and buying a pantry cupboard Will see if I can take a pic when I have finished it

Starting to plan my granddaughters birthday baking which is in 4 weeks, she can't have eggs so am going to be practising a few cake recipes with some alternatives to the eggs and seeing which I like more .. plus it has to be pink lol .. but might make the cake plain and just colour the icing and filling pink instead I want to try to make her a castle one .. but I have just seen some pics for something like a princess dress made out of cupcakes positioned next to each other in the shape of a dress with a tiara and sash and wand as decoration add ons .. looked gorgeous ... but my friend is going to give me some lessons so we will see what I can be taught in the short time frame lol.

I think you are looking just fine hun ... but it always comes down to how you feel about it. I do worry that Im not aiming low enough lol .. because it will still keep me as overweight/borderline obese ... but I think I will be happy at that weight ... never say never though right?

Home sick today .. but I managed to clean up my kitchen ready to try some baking tomorrow .. and boy have I got a lovely BIG lot of temptation that I have to walk past every day lol ..



Glutton for punishment huh? lol ... but really it is for my baking decorations .. although hunny has now a new habit of stopping to "taste" test them as he goes by lol .. so will have to get creative sooner rather than later lol. But if I really have the urge to have something sweet .. the top shelf right on the end on the left is a jar of sweets I CAN have .. they are sugar free lol ..

So tomorrow I get to try a few recipes in preparation for my baby girls babies birthday at the end of the month ... going to try a couple of egg free recipes .. and I have even gone out and gotten a bag of Coconut Flour that I want to have a play with .. lord knows how that will work though lol .. but its good to have a few experiments .. rubbish day is Thursday in case it doesn't work rofl.

Hugs all ... oh .. better go and correct my weigh in from this morning .. Monday over here...

Oh and for those celebrating .. HAPPY LABOUR DAY! (not in NZ but I have been told its a long weekend somewhere lol) Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Oh my GOSH KATT! That is a HARD pathway full of temptations to walk past all the time! Are you trying to test yourself?! LOL

Starting over with you all! I need to get my butt into gear... Parents home next Sunday (Can't wait) and then 1 thing in my life will be back to normal. This new job is Stressing me out like crazy... I have gotten yelled at.. (did not know what the rules were and did something wrong) and feel like I have to stay OT (6:00 pm REALLY??!!!) talking with everyone (kills the walking with my friend) and my last good friend moved 4 hours north (might as well be in a new Country ...) so... again (just like 3 weeks ago - SIGH This has got to stop!!! - Pity Party again.) I just need to take a deep breath and I walked along the ocean tonight (2.25 miles in the sand. The water was high 80's.. and the sand bar was in.. ahhhhh my mind feels better!)

SUE - Funnily enough Im not that tempted by the lolly bar I go past each day lol .. Im in trouble with the fridge tho cos I have a few cheeses which HAVE to be used lol .. but if I nibble a little each day quickly hopefully it wont be too bad lol. Yay about your folks coming back .. and can I just say I envy you the beach walk .. LOVE walking on the beach, but they are all a drive away from me which just makes it seem like an actual destination rather than just going outside and round the corner .. my dad lives opposite the beach too and I love to go visit so I can just go out and watch the water for hours. Im sure you will find a way to cope with your friend so far away .. you dont have some other friends nearby you could go for walks with?

WATCH - heheh .. grumpy face already?? I gather the 198 is giving you grief .. you reckon 199 had a word with it to play with you for a bit? Dont stress .. remember you skipped the annoying number completely lol .. and you are still in Onederland

VORTEX - Im shocked I have gotten this close to maintain time .. but its definitely an incentive to keep pushing Im sure you will be there sooner than you think


Well had a nice day off today .. managed to get a bit of baking done to take to work tomorrow.
Cupcakes first - Dark Chocolate Kahlua cupcakes with Kahlua Buttercream and then I turned Gingerbread Men into cupcakes with a Cinnamon Buttercream frosting.
Then I made a lemon slice .. making my own Lemon Curd! Was so happy it worked lol .. I have decided Im going to make this for friends and family as part of my Cmas gift baskets this year .. so much simpler than I thought it would be! So that will be Lemon Curd as well as Butterscotch or Caramel sauce .. starting to build up the basket in my mind lol .. anyway .. so made a slice, but its not set the way I was hoping it would .. so back to the drawing board for that one ... will test it for taste when hunny gets home though
Lastly I made my 3rd attempted at my 2-tone pink raspberry cake ... 3rd because I had 2 flops already today trying to make it egg free .. so thought I would go back to the start to get the basic mix right before I start playing with it lol .. .but only used the whites ... its 2 layers one lighter pink than the other, then made a raspberry buttercream (which was slightly pink toned) to go in the middle (with some raspberry jam) and then covered the cake with it ... looks alright lol .. will see what the customers think anyway

Love my customers .. they are fantastic at letting me know the pros and cons of the cakes etc that I take in which helps me play with the recipes. Scoot has taken some of the cupcakes to dinner tonight with the boys to see what they think of them .. I bet the Kahlua one will be the more popular lol. Will find out how they went down when he gets home (I didnt take one for him which he wasnt happy about lol .. but considering he keeps nicking the lollies he is lucky I have saved him one for his supper lol)

Anyway .. time to relax for the night now .. hope all are well
