Who's here in July? (Old June is here.)
ME!
How's your PCOS management going?
A little wonky but for a good reason... I got my period!
Adding d-chiro-inositol has done more for my menstrual regularity than anything else. Even on metformin the best I could do was 60 days apart years ago. Totally AWOL though til this spring.
I just started the inositol in March and check it out:
330 day cycle from previous -- frustrated I change endocs. Old endoc was all "well, you don't want babies so it doesn't matter." It matters to ME that my hormones are in balance! I felt like crud! I felt like she wasn't listening to me and acting like I was a fussy non-compliant patient rather then HER being at the end of the knowledge base. New endoc pinpointed deficiencies from labs right away and helped me solve the vitamin D and b12 deficiencies in this window. Why didn't old endoc pinpoint this? Grrr.
52 day cycle from Feb to April. (I learned more about vitamin deficiencies and started inositol in march)
48 day cycle (first one on inositol all the way thru)
41 day cycle (started today! Woot!)
I've never been regular NOT on BCP and I'm still adjusting to the hormone shifting around in there. PMS is killer and lays me out. That messes me up with diet and exercise because I just want to eat toast from the queasy. Reminds me of morning sickness from the hormones. But def things are improving on my endoc labs too so I can't wait til the next round to see how they are.
What are you working on this month? OR --what's your "check in" for the day/week?
Now that I'm having a cycle and the PMS is letting up -- get back to my walking schedule and just pick up where I left off. Clean up my diet again. I'm not after perfect, I'm after progress and I'm progressing so go me!
