Teacher He was a good boy. :D It's really nice that we have the harness, now. He can ride in the back seat and we don't have to crate him. He looks like a little kid sitting there. Today is his 1 year birthday. I bought him a cupcake and a cookie from the specialty pet store. The cupcake has blue icing. The cookie is in the shape of a bone. It has white icing w/Happy Birthday in blue letters. They are totally cute!

While out of town from last week Thursday through late Monday night, I did not exercise and managed to gain back 2 pounds. Tuesday of this week I was busy catching up and did not exercise again. Wednesday I got back on track with these:

YOGA CONDITIONING FOR WEIGHT LOSS WITH MERRILY - 1/2 MODIFIED BEGINNERS PRACTICE: ACTIVE YOGA CONDITIONING

Today I did:
JILLIAN MICHAELS BEGINNERS WORKOUT - BACKSIDE: CIRCUIT 5 and CIRCUIT 6 and
YOGA CONDITIONING FOR WEIGHT LOSS WITH MERRILY - 1/2 MODIFIED BEGINNERS PRACTICE: BALANCE AND RELAXATION

I have also committed to walking outside for 10 minutes every afternoon. I started this on Wednesday. Yesterday my partner joined me. I am heading out the door right now.

Teacher The rotation is only 21 days. It's 3 solid weeks without any rest days. A friend of mine is at the end of her 4th rotation with this program. She has gotten great results. I don't think I will get the kind of results she has gotten. She really cleaned up her food and all. It's no easier, :lol:. Teacher Good job on the elliptical. We are not very busy right now. It's only me and DH so if we have business we are busy, per say. :lol: I tend to be more busy during certain times of the month. I have more going on during the beginning of the month due to month end closing. I tend to get to bed too late on the weekends and it really messes me up for the week. I need to try to get to bed early. I still say I need to find a way to retire. :lol:

That 21 Day Fix sounds intense.

Last week I started adding a 10-minute walk every afternoon to my daily routine. Sometimes my partner, Woody, goes with me. Monday I added a 10-minute walk in the mornings before I start my day. Then I got busy and didn't do any other exercise on Monday.

Yesterday I worked out but forgot to post. Here is what I did:

YumaDeb Great job on those workouts. The 21 Day Fix can be really intense, depending on how much you put into it. There is a modifier who does a great job.

Diana- I'm still excited about the job and also very nervous. It's going to be very overwhelming in Aug but I'm looking forward to a set schedule. I'm hoping to stay focused and make some progress with losing weight. Food is always my biggest struggle. I plan to mostly workout at home so hopefully I'll be able to stay focused. Time will tell but I'm hoping not to completely fall apart.

Both of our Dad's are no longer with us. We allow Mother's Day to be my Day (since my Mom is no longer with us) and Father's Day is for DH. I am wanting to stick to my eating plan like glue since we will be going out of town for the 4th of July. We will go eat out where DH wants to go but it won't be anything major. I should still be able to stick with my plan

DH and I went out to eat today. Then I took him around to his fishing stores, we went to the grocery store, and then to put out flowers for Father's Day. I didn't get a chance to go back to the shop to do an additional cardio workout, so I did some sections from the Fat Free Yoga. I should be fully oxygenated after all of that breathing I did.

Teacher Oh, but Cody is naughty! Should be an interesting trip, :lol:. This is a situation we had last weekend. Is Cody bad on his own or is it our fault? :lol: In the morning I can tell Cody to "Go help Daddy, he needs help getting up". Cody will run in the bedroom and start whining for DH to get up. DH can tell Cody "go see what Mama's doing" and he will run to find me. So this weekend DH was busy doing something and Cody was right under his feet. DH told Cody "go see what Mama's doing" Cody ran to where I was. I would tell Cody "Go help Daddy". Cody would run right back to DH. I could hear what DH was saying but he couldn't hear me since he doesn't hear as well. DH finished up and was walking down the hall way when I told Cody, "Go help Daddy". DH heard me, LOL. He snuck up on me and asked me why I was confusing the dog, LOL. OMG! Can you imagine if we had kids? LOL

Yesterday I did get outside to walk 10 minutes both in the afternoon and again in the evening. My husband got home in time to walk with me in the evening. We actually ended up walking for closer to 12 minutes. It feels good to get out in the fresh air and sunshine even when it is 108 degrees.

Hi everyone

today- ymca water tabata 45 min (it was good not great... I miss the teacher from last summer) & 45 min water walk (great workout but a dead mouse floated by... the lifeguards got it right away but I was so grossed out. Mice and rats are my #1 fear so I might be over the water classes)

Teacher Not a fan of mice or rats. At least it wasn't still alive and was trying to cling to you to save it. EWWWW! I probably wouldn't give up the water classes. Just think, the chlorine killed all the germs. Hey, I'm trying to think positive, right? ;)

I took another rest day. I went to buy a few items for our trip. I know it's getting close and I didn't want to panic at the last minute. I bought 1 top/shorts combo that is a little more dressy. Then I bought 3 more tops that will go with the shorts I just bought and my jean shorts. Normally I wear solid colors, but the 3 extra tops are floral print. They have a tropical feel. They will be nice for going to the beach. I only had 1 teeny tiny piece of eyeliner left. I never get that low, LOL. I bought 4 new eyeliners. I decided to branch out on 3 of them and the other one is a staple color that I wear, Chocolate. Tomorrow I will start back with the 21 Day Fix rotation. I only have 2 workouts left. Not sure what I will do for the rest of the month. Maybe I will go back to KCM and do some fun cardio.

Diana: I am not familiar with Green Energy for the Heart. Is it on a DVD?

Using the Aylio blue resistance band (least resistance), I attempted to do 12 reps of each of the 24 shoulder exercises on the DVD. I succeeded at 19 of them; did much less on the other 5, with my right shoulder doing more than my left.:(

YumaDeb It is a DVD. It's Ana/Ravi's KY. The DVD and the particular section I did last night's focus is on the cobra pose. Cobra pose is suppose to be good for fluid retention/kidneys. A friend shared some of her KY yoga DVD's with me. I am finding sections to work my particular problems. We'll see how it goes. :D

Teacher I think we are leaving on the 3rd, next Thursday maybe? I look forward to going out of town, but I dread the packing, etc. It's right there at month end, too. Not sure how I will handle that. I'll figure it out, though. ;)

Diana: Yes, our trip is mostly for fun. We will be visiting family and friends in Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and then Wisconsin. We have sons and grandchildren in Wisconsin. Of course we always do some business along the way for the tax write-off. On our way home, we will be going to Utah to see our daughter and pick up our granddaughter. Then I have a conference in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. My husband will entertain the granddaughter while I am in my meetings for two days. I plan to continue to at least walk and do yoga while on the trip, so I will post here where we are and what I do. Will you be sharing your trip with us?

I finished cleaning, dusting the office and cleaning the bathrooms. It's hard to do that with Cody in there with me. I am going to try to get to bed early tonight.
