TUESDAY: Today is target Tuesday and our target this week is fruits! They are a great source of vitamins and provide a great snack instead of something sugary or fattening!
Fruits can be used in a lot of ways not just eaten by themselves. Stick some in that oatmeal instead of milk, in your yogurt, on cereal, in ff pudding or with ff cool whip. They can be frozen and taste great like blueberries or grapes. Put them in a smoothy to drink or mix them with crushed ice and freeze them and put them in your Crystal Light as ice cubes!
Good Morning ladies! It is EARLY here in the old south and already it is 80 degrees! Probably pretty humid too!
I GET A: :high: for points! I went over my darn fat again. I have got to quit eating my husband's food when I make higher fat stuff. No more! I am on the wagon!
Today is going to be a beautiful day so take advantage of it. Get your water in and try and get some kind of exercise. Just get moving!
Tracy: I am glad you understand. Though is it going to take me much longer than you or some of the other gals, that does not mean you struggle any less. In fact, the less you need to lose the harder it gets to get it off! I am so proud of you for working at something you want instead of just saying aw to heck with it! You are doing a great job!
Sarah: What a time you have had with weight! I have always maintained that one of the biggest stumbling blocks in losing weight is emotional status. Your situation proves it! Going from one end of the scale to the other. It has had to beaten your body up pretty good. I am proud of the courage you have trying to get the weight back off again.
I guess my kitty is back to normal. He didn't throw up any more last night after the mess he made in my entranceway. I don't know what he had gotten into, but yikes what a mess! Dh is a BIG help! He got a trash bag and held it! Here I am trying to make sure the cat is ok and trying to get the rugs picked up and the stuff cleaned off the floor and he is standing there holding a trash bag for me to put the paper towels in! Sometimes men are so clueless! :lol:

I read posts from yesterday, wish I had seen the Oprah airing, maybe I will catch it when it re-airs. I normally try and catch those, guess I will have to ck her website periodically for upcoming shows. Faye you are so right, we have all got to do this, and there isnt one of us that is going to fail.!!! we do have each other, and that means so much to me!
Chicago sounds good, Salt Lake sounds good!! anywhere with all of you would be a blast...other grp I participate in is getting together in Oklahoma next spring...cant wait!!! I am so excited about it already. My first goal of course is to lose 10 lbs by August 31, Faye, I am working hard on it!!, then my goal by then is to have lost 50 lbs, a very reasonable goal by next spring! Havent set a date yet, but, I know I can acheive that one!! going to get on an ariplane and be there in a "jif"...will take my vacation that wk. most likely. I get :dizzy: just thinking about it. Our meeting in 2005 is a ways off, but by then we will have all been able to save up, good idea!! can have a fabulous time!!....Other group by the way is the 300 plus thread, great girls if anyone is interested!!

How is everyone this a.m.? My points for yesterday.....I get 2 for OP but still nothing for the other 2 things.....
A trip will be so nice. I hope to have all my money saved and have my butt on a plane to come see some of the nicest people I know. Isn't if funny how easily you can make friends on the net and here especially. You can be yourself and people either like you or they don't. I try to be myself all the time. I mean, really, is there any sence in acting like something you are not? Who would you be trying to impress?:soap: That's enough of that...lol
Today is Tuesday and let's see Faye says we have to work on the fruit thing. This is a biggie for me, but I will try. I just bought some yummy bing cherries, they are one of my favorite....and I like melons and pineapple, and apples are okay, and oranges are good too. So there is enough to choose from you would think I could fit them in. I think maybe if I fit those in, maybe the other junk will not make it in....this is a good thing;) .
I don't know if I told you all, but my kids got hampsters a few weeks ago. They have been so entertaining. My dog acts like it the tv I swear. She sits there and just watches constantly. My cat could care less. LOL, and I was worried about the cat.
We got the new computer and I am trying to learn how to make a cd to take in the car to listen to. A mix of music you know, not just one singer. But so far I have been able to make it but it won't play in any thing other than the computer and that is not how it is supposed to work, so I will go play again and try to figure it out.

Peek has rodents in cages so I ain't a goin and visitin' her! I can't even watch Stuart Little on tv! I go into the pet store and make this huge detour to buy certain dog products, because the hamsters, guinnea pigs, rats etc are in their cages in the front right on the aisle I need. I am shuddering just thinking about it! I don't like squirrels or chipmunks either except I will condone, Jerry mouse and Chip and Dale on tv! :lol:
OMG, we just had the biggest and strongest storm I have ever seen without it being a tornado! Power is out all over the city, trees have been uprooted (my dd and sil lost a beautiful Pine tree in their front yard. Thank goodness it didn't hit their house) Their area was one of the worst hit. There are trees down everywhere she says and you can hardly get around because they are blocking the streets. The temp went from 80 to 57 in half an hour, winds were 85 mph. Today is garbage day and needless to say, my can took a walk big time. I went out to look for it in my shabby nightshirt and that was all and a man from the neighborhood God Bless him found it and brought it home! I have limbs and leaves from our tree on the deck but the tree held on. One piece of mesh that covers our gutters blew off, but that was as bad as it got at our house. I went out in the midst of it and took the umbrella off the patio set or it would probably be gone. We kept power, but I don't know how! My dh says power is out at the poopoo plant and that is BAD because everything out there runs on electricity, no elec, no poopoo pumping, cleaning, whatever. No pool for me today I guess unless, I want to get BBQ'd by lightening!

Peek: We have guinea pigs. Omgosh what a mess those lil boogers are but they are so cute. They wheek when they hear plastic bags rattle because they think its veggie time. They wheek for scritches, and they jump straight up in the air about 4 inches over and over and run circles like the dickens when I change their bedding, give them hay, or anything that makes them happy. My kids love them and the best part is.. they rarely rarely ever bite - by nature. Good luck with the CD. If you need any help.. pm me and let me know exactly what you've done and I'll see if I cant help you figure it out. (yes you got it.. im a computer geek)

Well we have tried many pets in our house. We have had hamsters, gerbils, mice, and many others and thank goodness my kids did not like any of them. I am bery happy to have my 2 cats and one dog. They are much eaiser to take care of..
Well looks like my day is going pretty well. Had my bagel for bf, and have a lean cuisene for lunch, not sure about dinner, but I really am not much of a night time eater so we will see what happens.

w00t! I was so good yesterday, I get all 4 points :) drank 96 oz of water, did my excercises, and didn't even snack last night, stayed under 1300 calories, and stayed at my WWP *phew* I was so hungry last night too, I fought it hard.
Morning ladies, Bella, I read about your story on the last page of #12, wow, I am so glad you found a supportive man that makes all the difference eh ?
I can't beleive someone said Salt Lake sounds good for a reunion, LOL! usually people think Utah is a scary place, like we still ride to work on horse drawn carraiges and practice polygamy.. haha! Actually this is a great place, it's so beautiful here, and despite the mo-mo conservative mentality, I love it here, great place to raise kids too! =)
So fruit day, mmm I love fruit too! I like Seneca sugar free applesauce a lot, and it's only 1 WWP for 1/2 cup, so I buy those single serving cups, makes a great snack. I also love pinneapple, so this should be an easy day :)
Faye, I am jealous it rained there, it's the 7th day in a row we have had 100+ weather, and it's DRY DRY, we are in a drought here, they are giving tickets to people who water their lawn too much.

Tonya, Yes, haveing someone to support you does make a big difference..weather it is a partner or family or friends. It does make thinks a lot easier.
I am also right there with you on the weather. It has been hotter than...here also for the past 2-3 weeks. We also have the humidity to go with it. So when it is high 90 or 100s we also get 100% humity. So much for good hair days in the summer here.
Faye..not sure if I can do the fruit. I am pretty picky about fruit, but mabye some grapes when I get home, before I go to the gym.

Well.. I finished my 3 miles and did my 8 min taebo workout. (huff puff huff puff) Gosh it feels good. I did have to stop during the workout because its more like 20 minutes if you include that high intensity warm up. I just stopped for about 2 minutes to guzzle down a full pint of water. Then I finished it out :jig:
Fruit sounds great today. I have apples, oranges, bananas, strawberries, and some cantaloupe in the fridge. I may skip my noon slimfast and replace it with a fruit salad!
Off to the shower.. I am certainly not pleasant to be around right now. My clothes are soaked! :dance:

heyyyy girlie girls!
I would like to announce that I got in all 4 points yeterday. i got my butt KICKED at this kickboxing class. The first 10 minutes of warmup, I thought my heart was going to explode. It was like torturous ****. :faint: But I made it through so had some killer cardio in for yesterday! 15% of activies on fitday. What an accomplishment.
After I ate my dinner last night (reduced fat mushroom soup) I still had like 600 cal leftover. It was weird. So I ate a serving of teddy grahams and 3 small slices of fudge from the shore. OK, I know that was probably not a good idea, LOL, but even with that I was still under, so that was kinda cool. Although fitday says fudge is 50 cal or so for a square inch (mine were more like 1/4 in. wide x 3-in. long slivers). So that seemed kinda low, but I guess it's b/c we eat less of fudge. :halffull: I dunno?
Peek - something to consider...not all CD players play CD-Rs so maybe that is why your CD won't play anywhere else besides the computer. If you have older CD players that could be the cause. Most today are able to play them.
Everyone else...congrats on your points!
I am getting a bit frustrated b/c I am still at 152! Not budging an inch. I know it's probably a result of my 2 big meals out over the weekend...but still!

I am planning a trip to Ireland with my #1 guy for November. Anyone have any insights into the place? I can go for $600 for 7 days with air, lodging and rental car included. That seems almost TOO good. But the big problem is, what do I tell #2 guy? LOL Of course my new personal goal is to dump him by then. I just know he is not the one for me...we differ on morals and financial goals too much to say. And I don't think it is something that would work out forever...which is how long I intend to stay married. :)

Oh Ireland sounds just wonderful!!! I have always wanted to go and I have a close friend that lives in Tipperary, Ireland. I'll shoot her an email and hopefully she will answer. Usually it takes her about a week or two to reply because shes busy.. but I will let you know what she says! As far as weight.. I lost 2 lbs last week (was 152 for over a yr) and then I gained it back plus an extra lb. DH (dear hubby) says it may be water weight. I am not touching the scale until Friday weigh in and I hope its gone!!
Tonya.. I envy your lack of humidity. I'd take heat if I could get rid of the humidity!! We have had an extremely mild summer, which followed a hard winter. We had over 50 inches of snow last winter (norm is 10 inches). This summer has been more like early spring. Low 80s in the day tops and low 60s/hi 50s at night. Its 72 now and I have my windows open! I think we had 4 or 5 days where it got to low 90s. Normal for us this time of year is hi 90s/low 100s thru the day. Humidity is awful tho usually 70% or higher all summer. My whole house just feels so sticky all the time.
I just showered and I still feel sticky. yuck.
I have a ton of energy right now.. so I am off to take the kids to the park. I think I'll crawl thru the tunnels today with them. lol

Mugirl, it's LOW.. if you use the right bread. check your grocery store for "Oroweat" bread, they have a ton of varieties , the one I buy is a whole wheat LIGHT. It's 40 cal /slice, so TWO slices is 1 WWP. 2 slices of regular bread, even fat free bread, is 4 WWP. If you do the 2 slices (80 cal) + 1/2 tablespoon of peanut butter, and 1/2 tablespoon of jelly.. it's low. You could even eat 2 of them, and still be lower calorie count than if you used regular bread :)
do you have a fridge at work ? freezer ?
We do here, and mine is loaded up with lean cuisine's, seneca sugar free applesauce cups, I like to bring soup too. Progresso makes a vegetarian with barley or something like that... it's 100 calories per serving, you could eat the whole damn can for 200 calories. Then I use fat free crackers. check my fitday link if you like (in my sig) for exacts on that stuff. I also like to do turkey sandwiches on that bread. 3 slices of lean turkey from the deli at the store, fat free mayo, lots of mustard and pickles, on WW, it's only 2 pts per sandwich, if you barely spread on the fat free mayo, which I do. so I can eat 2 sandwiches for 4 pts.
So I had my soup for lunch, only 1/2 can, with 5 fat free crackers, and a cup of applesauce, 2 slices of light Oroweat bread with spray butter, and a diet coke. 230 calories, and I feel pretty full.. for now :)

Aunt Millie's Honey Whole Grain bread per slice-70 cal (10 fat cal)
Jif Creamy PB - 2 TBLS - 190 cal/130 fat cal
Smuckers Grape Jelly - 1 TBLS 50 cal/0 fat
So.. from what I have in my house (lol) That would be 380 cal/150 fat calories in a PB&J if you use those HUGE amts. Odd how whole grain/white bread have the same cal/fat content. I need to start buying light bread! My dr told me I could eat all the whole grain bread, pasta, and brown rice I wanted because it was good for me and wouldnt make me gain like enriched white bread,pasta, and white rice would.
Looks like rain again. Park is out - sigh.
Edit - I forgot to add.. I had a bowl of Raisin Bran with skim milk for lunch. 230 cal. I would have much rather had Tonyas lunch!
Also.. Lean cuisines are great for quick microwaveable lunches. They are my favorites because I never feel cheated - everything in them is soooo good.

Wonder makes a light bread also that is 40/slice. but I have gotten frustrated with it because it goes bad too fast unless you freeze it and toast a slice every time you have one. The Oroweat stays good longer just in the fridge.

Tonya - we actually have a bread at home which is just a generic light bread from giant (if you have one of those in your area). It's 35 cal per slice, so even better. Yeah, jelly isn't bad either. Hmm...ok I'll have to calculate this out. Every day I have oatmeal and a little milk in it...or peaches and water. Depends on what is available. And that runs me about 270 cal. So I gotta keep lunch under 300 cal. Or about...since I have a pineapple cup 60 cal and a slim fast candy bar 120. So I still have room for dinner! LOL Yesterday I had a can of cream of mushroom soup for dinner...it was 97% fat free or something...and that was 170 cal. I think soup IS the way to go. I"ll have to go check it out. BTW - you can call me Missy! :) And yes we do have a freezer and fridge at work...but I'm a little sick of frozen meals...:( But your lunch sounds SPECTACULAR! It is all about math I guess...figuring what is a few cals here and there.

You guys have been blabbing up a storm while I have been stuck in the house with NO cable or dsl! I have just the vacuum to do upstairs and then it is done! It has been a total bore and the power has been in and out so I have had to forage for stuff in the cabinets not to open the fridge so I think I may skin by on program today, but we will have to wait and see. Better get the points handed out:

Also, Walmart has a great choice of WW, Lean Cuisine, and Healthy Choice micro meals, bet shot is to just buy some and keep a list of what you like and don't like. I hate ginger so though I love Chinese, I don't buy any Chinese at all because it all has ginger in it. There are low fat soups that are really great and if you have a ham sandwich made with low fat or ff ham, 2 slices white bread and mustard (tom and lett are free), it only amounts to I think like 50 cal and only about10 fat cal or so.
Sarah: I didn't get points from you if you are participating so if you are just let me know and I will post your smiley!
I need to go and get the sheets out of the dryer and make the bed and finish up the vacuuming, put down the rugs, cart the trash out, etc.
Boohoo no swimming today. The pool is closed even though the sun came out. I sure will miss it, but get my exercise in elsewhere!
Regarding sodium: I would say yes! Unless you live in a cave, with prepared stuff you are going to take in sodium so just drink some extra water if you feel you haver over done it. I have not had a problem with it.

OK i need some more advice.
I am always babbling here.
BUT...I am halfway through my trial gym membership. 2 weeks down, 2 weeks to go. And I am LOVING it. It's really just great. I'm the kind of person that if I pay for something then i tend to use it more. With that in mind...I have to make a decision about joining.
Option #1 - Join for one year (contract) and pay $37 a month.
Option #2 - Join for one month at a time at $75 a month.
Option #3 - Join for a three month time frame for $200.
Now I have looked at other gyms in the area and this is the only one that is close and convenient to me now. It is also convenient to my only other job prospect at the moment. So if I would land that new job, no problem. BUT...I am seriously looking for a new job. And am afraid that I may move or have a job with a long commute (I live about an hour from Philly...and if I got a job there...that would be rough). So I don't know if I would be up for a year even though it is most economical. Obviously the prices are geared towards the year membership.

Missy, I dunno... I am like you , I hate committing like that for a year. I almost would lean toward the 3 month one.. $ 67.00 a month, which is pricey.. *shrug* I definately would not pick the month to month, at least with the 3 month you still save some money. Hmm I am not much help.
and I need to put a checkmark on the fruit thing, Had my 2nd serving just now, pinneapples in cottage cheese, yum! :D

I did the gym thing for a year and it got real old when I moved. I couldnt get there conveniently so I basically wasted 7 months of membership that I had to pay for. If it were me, I would do the 3 months until I knew for sure where I was planning on going with my career. That price is still better than the month to month.
During that time you can watch for specials from other gyms. We have a Moores Fitness world thats running a 19.95 a month special right now with no commitment. I've been thinking of joining that. If you do want a year commitment you get it for 14.95 a month instead. But for the 5$ I wouldnt risk a year contract.
Its almost dinner time and the kiddos are begging for spaghetti and garlic bread. I will do a lean cuisine and a fruit salad for myself since spaghetti is so high in carbs. Luckily.. Im not very hungry for some reason tonight. Nice change for me!
So far today I have had a slim fast (220 cal), a bowl of raisin bran w/skim milk (230 cal), 2 diet cokes (0 cal), And a huge fruit smoothie made with banana, strawberries, splash of oj, and some skim milk (approx 250 cal) Plus I already have 96 oz of my 100 in today! So I am at 700 calories. That gives me 600 for dinner and I will still stay within my 1300 a day.

I joined a local rec center..Has most of the same equipment as the gym, plus a weight room, and I got a whole year for $90.00. I am not sure of you have one of those in your area, but they are good to look into, or even the YMCA, they have good rates to. And are not like gym's they are more community based so the prices stay lower...
As for my eating today it has not been great, nothing that was bad for me, just a little much of the good. But, tomorrow is another day..

What a mystery to solve! Missy if there is any chance of moving out of the area, then for heaven's sake don't commit to the year. I would do the 3 month program too! That way, even if you get a new job in a month, you aren't losing tons and tons of money. I would also check out the YMCA/YWCA as they do have some great programs and usually good equipment for a lower price.
The news reports are coming in on the storm and what a mess! 250,000 people without power for up to as long as a week! Gas stations unable to open so lines are horrendously long, trees down everywhere taking power lines with it and it goes on and on. We are very lucky as we are one of the few places in the city with power. I left a message for dd that if they are without powe to bring their camping mattress and come and stay here. That baby shouldn't have to be in a hot house with no electricity, hot water, etc.
Well, I need to work on my resume. I sent it to my sister and she made some suggestions and I am going to do the changes and then let my dh look at the old and new and tell me which is better.

Tonya: Cream cheese in lasagna? You know, if he wasn't standing over you, you could substitute lower fat cream cheese (I wouldn't use no fat as it would probably not melt) and a lower fat grated cheese if that is what you use. Also, use the highest ground beef you can like ground sirloin and make your own sauce not bottled as it is high in fat or at least use 1/2 bottled then add tomato sauce and fresh chopped garlic that is what I did for spaghetti tonight for us. You could remarkably cut the fat and not the taste! Does sound good! I make a pan and end up throwing a bunch out because there is just the two of us and I don't like warmed up pasta so this time, I divided the ingredients between two and froze one! Do you cook your noodles first or not? I quit cooking mine several years ago when I saw Dom Deluise on tv making it with "raw" noodles and it comes out just as good!
I want to kick my hubby right in the you know what! He knows I have been kind of upset about the job thing and never once did he ask to look at my resume until my sister, who is a legal secretary, told me to send it to her to look at. Come to find out, when he was in college a couple years ago his advisor showed him a new more professional looking way to do a resume (MY current one is his old style!) and he let that tidbit out tonight that he had it saved on disc! Men are such pains sometimes. I have sat here for an hour redoing my whole resume to make it more professional! I wonder how many jobs I was passed over for because they didn't like the look of my resume! MEN!
Gotta go downstairs and fold some laundry and get it put away so you girls all be good now and I will see you tomorrow with the WOES!

How in the world are you?????? Hope everyone has a "mahvelous day" It is a cool 71 degrees here in the deep South, a welcome change!! Yesterday brought terrible storms, Faye....are you alright! Damage was awful in your area I know!! Last night was so pleasant, got out and took a walk around 8:00,
so that is 1 pt for exercise yesterday (one mile video, and 10 min. walk):strong: :jig: 1pt for water, and 2 pts for staying on program!! 2 more days till weigh in, boy am I ever psyched!!!:D
Yesterday was a great day, visiting with the family, my mom bought me 3 new pair of pants, and a blouse, and some new "step ins" that is what the "old folks" in my neck of the woods called underwear!, my sister did the watp tape with me...this morning we are all going to do it, sister and 2 neices...may even get mom to join in, who knows!! I made dinner for everybody last night..the Almond Chicken recipe found on this site, was the 2nd time I have made it now, and it is yummmmmy!
a guy I grew up with came to visit, had not seen him in about 16 years....so hard to believe we are in our 40's now!! whew! we caught up and talked about the good ole days! It was terrific

Yeah Faye, sounds wierd.. but Ohhhhh is it good! haha, and I have made it with very lean ground beef before and lower fat cream cheese, he knew, it just doesn't have the same taste. It's an old family recipe from his side... so *shrug*. Last time I made it for him, I made it with ground turkey breast, and one thing of low fat cream cheese, and one of fat -free... LOL.. he pretended to like it, but I know him. so I promised him that the next time I made it, I would do it the "real" way. Anyhow, that was last night, and for the first night in almost 2 weeks, I went to bed with a tummy so full it hurt ;)
Ah well, 128 on the scale this morning, today probably wasn't the best day to weigh in either. I knew a binge was coming up, it's almost TOM for me, plus for almost 2 weeks now I have gone to bed with a gurgly tummy.. :(
Gotta pick myself back up today, my stomach feels funny (I wonder why?!) :lol:
Maybe if I am right at 18WWP (my minimum daily) for a few days, I can get back down.

I got 2 pts for OP, 1 for water and 1 for exercise yesterday. For dinner I had a Lean cuisine and I was stuffed. Late last night I had a cup or less of airpopped popcorn plain. I stayed under my 1300 cal.
Tonya.. amazing how the men know taste isnt it? Mine is on a diet with me.. he weighs 275 and needs to be about 100 lbs less. So I can get away with the lowfat stuff. With the kiddos around though.. I keep lots of healthy stuff around that isnt low fat for them. DH has already lost 15 lbs.. he was 290. Just in a week too. UGH so frustrating. I refuse to get on the scale today.. my tummy is pooched way out from pms bloat. I hope it goes down before Friday.
Faye.. resumes.. men!! UGH. They are all cut from the same mold.. I truly think.. Oh dont get me started. Im in a mood with mine. lol. It would have been easier on you if you had known.. but try to look at it this way.. Doing it over like you did, you know for sure its exactly the way you want it! I have a migraine today.. storm fronts moving in. High pressure always does it to me. On the plus side.. we are at a whopping 64 degrees and the high is only supposed to be 73. So much for my sunbathing! At least it will be comfy to go for a walk if I can get the Meds to kick in and kick this headache soon.

OK I think I have decided to go with the 3 month plan. As I had said...I don't know for sure where my career will take me. I've been trying to get out of here for 3 years, and we see how well that has gone. LOL So we'll see.
Well I did it! I made a deposit of $180 on my trip to ireland and I am psyched. Now since it's a self-drive tour I just have to get my guy to sit down with me to plot out our course. See they just give you vouchers for B&B's and then you have to figure out where you are gonna stay, etc. What to see, where to stay. It's gonna be fun, especially with someone who doesn't like to plan! >:(
So I get 2 points for yesterday...exercise and water. I was pretty much OP, but I ate a skinny cow and some grapes and the grapes put me over my cals, but they were at least on the list.
Thanks for the advice on the sodium with the soup girls...I got another soup at the store..cream of mushroom again, but this one is reduced sodium. Has less fat and less salt...almost half of the other stuff. It's just amazing!
OK I gotta get back to the grind...talk to you all in a bit!

on a side note, I found a recipe that sounded good, and I modified it for my weight loss liking, I think it sounds good, thought I would share :)
Cheesy Chicken and Green Bean Casserole
8 ounces Egg Noodles
3 cups canned chicken breast (two 12 ounce cans) - shredded into smaller pieces
1 small onion, chopped (or 1/2 packet Lipton Onion Mushroom soup mix)
1 can green beans (or 12 mushrooms, raw, chopped)
8 ounces fat free shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup skim milk (0% fat)
1 can 98% fat free, low sodium cream of chicken soup
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350* F. Cook Egg noodles according to package directions. Drain. Combine all ingredients and fold into noodles. Place in 7.5 X 12 baking dish. Reserve a little cheddar cheese to sprinkle on top if desired. Bake uncovered in oven for 30-45 minutes.
Makes 8 servings.
Per serving: 267 calories, 4g fat, 78 mg cholesterol, 855 mg sodium, 204 mg potassium, 27 g carb, 2 g dietary fiber, 27 g protein. WWP: 5.

Debbie, you may wanna check out www.skinnycow.com it lists all their products. I think that an ice cream sandwich is 130 cal and 2g fat. So not bad at all, and they taste good and they are large. They have some new items coming out that sound good...but I haven't seen them in my freezer case. You have to search a bit for them but good luck!

Tonya's casserole never made it. The kids wanted a southern meal (as they call it) I rarely ever make it and they dont ask often.. so I did. Homemade buttermilk biscuits, sausage, gravy, eggs, and hash browns.
I fell off the wagon :sumo: I didnt stuff myself but I did eat until I was full.. something I never do anymore.
Ahh well.. I'm only human. And honestly.. I feel ok with it. I have a deep love for food and enjoyed every bite :lol:
Does anyone else have a problem with always being hungry? I was just wondering how you deal with it.

Debbie, yup I do. And I know how you feel about tonight, that was me last night, haha. I went to bed with a totally full tummy for the first time in SO long!
Water, that's how I deal with it.. honestly, haha. And a few things I always have to constantly remind myself. food is fuel, use it that way. I also try to remember to eat to live, not live to eat. Also a light snack between meals is good, just have to be careful, if I overdo that, then my meals have to become too scarse, and then I am hungry after meals, which usually means I go back for seconds.
My casserole is in the oven as we speak, I am 2 hours behind most of you.. Mountain time. So it's only 5:45 here :)
I didn't have an onion, so I substituted that with Lipton Onion Mushroom soup mix, I cook with that a lot, use half a packet. I will let you know, I am sure it will be good, that's one of my favorite seasonings :)
edit again! the verdict, VERY good. it was filling too, next time I might use 1/2 the amount of cheese, which would still be good, it was really filling. I had planned to eat veggies with it , broccoli, cauliflower, etc., but I am full *shrug* I guess I will save them for later if I get hungry again =]

Have had a good day here....did my walking tape this am...alone, my sister and neices didnt exercise with me, that's okay though I went at it alone!!......finally went on Fitday today, and did a journal entry, and calculated intake and exercise. I think it will be a good way to keep track. I have been keeping a food diary since I began this venture, not very good at the nutritional analysis, so I feel this will be most beneficial!
Went out to dinner with the family to a buffet, I made good choices, broiled fish, green beans, 1 boiled new potato, 1 tblsp mac & cheese, just a taste, have to stay away from that for the most part, was once a bad trigger food for me. I also had a small side salad, and sm yeast roll. When I got comfortably filled, I quit, which was a wonderful feeling!! I wore one of my new outfits today, and even put on my makeup!! I looked pretty good!!!! :dizzy: :lol: I want to take better care of myself...and I am taking steps every day to do that! I am most thankful!! (thankful thursday is tomorrow I know, I am just being grateful in advance)....still no woes to report!:shrug:

THURSDAY: Today is time for us Thursday. Make sure you do something just for you today!
:( Nobody even noticed I wasn't here!:lol: Our city is in a total uproarious mess! We ended up with 306,000 customers without electricity which is going to take up to a week to get back on, cable is out all over the city since Tuesday evening (which is why I wasn't on at all yesterday and did no point smileys for you guys, sorry!) Our cable and dsl is still out, but I got an AOL cd and did their 45 free days just so I could come post for you chickies AND have something to do! I am bored to tears with no tv, no internet and I was without a car yesterday. Besides that, the pool was a mess and wasn't open the last two days so I had to walk yesterday which was a challenge because of power outages with traffic lights being out and debris everywhere. I saw a poor elderly man must have been early 80's trying to put his redwood fence back up yesterday. It is just a total total mess here. We basically had class 2 hurricane conditions.
Tonya: I learned a LONG time ago to trick the old hubby and not tell him the truth! I have lied to dh straight face about how I made something and had him eat it and say it was the best I ever made! It is totally in the MIND! Men are the worst about stuff like that.
As for points, please allow me to skip yesterday as I am so far behind now. I will get you up and going today! Sorry about the woes yesterday too! Feel free to gripe you little head off today! :lol:

Me, I am not even on the points scale. I totally lost count for the last two days of what is what. Half the time I couldn't open the fridge (which is not ALL bad! :lol: ) because of the power being off so I had to make due with pantry stuff that didn't have to be cooked. So today is a new day and we will see what comes of it!
I am hoping the pool will be open today so I can swim swim swim! Walking around here kills my hips because the sidewalks are all slightly slanted towards the street so going it is the right hip and coming home the left so I am a cripple by the time I get back! I did get a measly 1 mile in yesterday before I had to call it quits. (the weather is hot a humid to make matters worse)
I need to see about a few other things so I am going to go!

OK yesterday's points...I was over cals by 300. :( So I am disappointed with myself for that. But it is OK. I did exercise and I did get my water in. So only 2 points for me!
I've been slacking a little on the calorie counting and I am bummed with that. But I am not necessarily eating any more than I was before. So that is good at least.
Not much to report. Kinda tired. Debating if I want to spend the next few nights sleeping with someone on a sofa bed to get a "free" shore weekend. But it involves me sleeping on a sofa bed with my friend, which is situated in the middle of a living room. The house is her godparents who i don't know and their 15 yo. son and 18 yo. daughter will both be there with their bf's and gf's. So what should I do guys!!! I'm so torn!

Faye: Im glad you are all safe. I know how those storms can be. In 92 I had an F4 tornado breeze thru my town and missed my house by half a block. It was a nightmare :(
Missy.. If you want my opinion (not that ya do) I say if you are comfy enough with your friend to share a sofa bed and know her well enough to trust her.. I'd do it. I mean.. you will only be in the room for sleeping anyway. As long as you feel comfortable with it.. then go for it. Everyone else can do their own thing as well. If the invitation was extended to you.. then they obviously dont have a problem with it :). I did something similar a few yrs ago. It worked out nicely and we are really close friends. We only
spent about 5 hours a night sleeping anyway and the rest of the time was spent out doing things and enjoying the town. My trip was 3 days long and that was plenty. I couldnt do it if it were longer because it gets old and I am a big baby who likes my own bed. lolol
I am thankful for my family.

Lunch - healthy choice oven roasted turkey breast sandwich on light whole wheat bread with leaf lettuce, tomato, and just a dabble of fat free mayo, and a half cup of low sodium soup that I couldnt finish.
Dinner - remains to be seen :)
Laid out today - got my 100 oz of water in already (it was hot out there).
Walked a mile and jogged a half mile. Did my taebo 8 min workout.

I looked into joining our local YMCA.. new building that just opened last year. I thought it would be a really good way for the family to work on being fit .. etc.
I was so disappointed when I went in for the tour. They have 2 pools and a fitness/weight room. One pool is olympic size and depth and the other is standard size but only 3.5 ft deep. They also have a suspended track and a gym.. like a highschool gym for basketball and such. That was it. And the membership was over $600 for just one year. Oh.. get this.. they have sauna, steam room and whirlpool.. but those are premium features and cost an extra $370 a year!
I have 3 small kids and need a place where they can go and have something or activities to do while I am working out. No kids allowed anywhere in our Y except the pool area. There is one 'game' room that has tables, tv, ping pong and thats it.. where kids are allowed.
I guess I need to look into some other gyms. That was the closest one.. its only about 1/2 mile from my house so very convenient. I guess I expected more for the price.. or maybe I am completely out of it! We have no local rec centers except the ones for kids so the next thing will be to check out actual fitness centers.
If everything looks like this did, I'll be doing some purchasing of my own fitness equipment. lol

Ok dinner for me was good. I had a salad with romaine, leaf lettuce, carrots, tomato, and just a sprinkling of 2% shredded cheese. Had Light Done Right Cucumber Ranch dressing on it. Then once that was finished.. I treated myself to a skinny cow for dessert.. yummmmmmm.

Drum roll pllllllleazzz! I lost 9.5 lbs! since July 3rd! a total now of 19.5 since June 6th:lol: :D :strong: :jig: :cp: :dance: I was practically dancing out of the Dr's office. I cant believe it still, but know I feel grrrrrreat!! guess all that watp is really paying off, food has been good too.

Sounds like most of you, if not all, are staying OP... since I hurt my back I have not had much time to jump on here and write, took a few days off from work since I couldnt really move, and I have to report that since I couldnt cook I had to rely on what ever fast food that my husband brought home for me...and sadly enough I have gained 2 pounds, BUT that was a temporary set back and and I am back OP tomorrow, wish me luck:lol:
Anyway Debbie - It sounds like you have really got the will power lately, I read what you ate today, great job.....

YAHOO! I see by my dsl connector that it is up and running so we have cable again! It wouldn't be so bad except the tvs don't work without it!
Peek: My sweet friend. We are on this old trip together you and I. We may have to take a little longer on our journey, but we will make it. We may have a few detours, shop when we should be traveling, enjoying the sights instead of completing our trip, but we will get to our destination that is for sure!
Carri: You are right so beat me with a wet noodle only don't eat it afterwards! :lol: Just don't wander away from us again.
