That was near perfect timing. Almost May!

It was a very good day today. Spinning class and then I got my 13yo son to ride the bike trail with me. We got about 11 miles in and had fun spotting critters.

Cottage cheese and fish
Beef Pho

Total cals 1281

Yesterday's Calories: 1818

B - Strawberry Oatmeal w/ Flax + Kelloggs To Go Protein Powder
S - Special K Strawberry Protein Bar
L - Imitation Crab + Snackwell Vanilla Cream Cookies
S - Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans
D - Chicken Breast + BBQ Sauce + Butter & Garlic Pasta + Flakey Biscuit
S - Dubliner Cheese

Exercise: Quick 5 Minute Leg Leaner + Booty Toner (-17) + Standing Abs Workout (-40)

Was a bit over on my calories yesterday, but I did get in a workout even though my shoulders were sore. I worked on my core and legs so I didn't aggravate my shoulder. Gym later though.

Hi Diana and everyone, I have been gone for awhile. Many problems on my end that I'm still dealing with. One is a work problem and the other is that my hot water tank has gone to heaven and trying to figure out how to get by on only cold water and also trying to figure out how to buy another one. I hope that I keep journaling here once again

Hi there! Does your utility company water/power have a program? After my Dad passed away, my Mom noticed her hot water heater was leaking. She didn't want to have to deal with finding someone to repair/replace the unit. She called the utility company (I think it was power) and they sent someone out. They installed a new unit. There broke the charge up in small amounts on her bill. It worked out really well since she lived out in the country and my Dad had just passed away, etc. I hope you can figure out something. Cold showers are not fun. Our hot water heater went out one year when we were away for Christmas vacation. Of course it was the coldest days of that year. We got a new unit within a day or two but it was miserable in the mean time. Good luck.

Besides the rain keeping me stranded in the house, everything is going well. Scale is moving ever so slowly, but... it's moving.

I'm sorry to hear about your water heater, waterbunny. That's never any fun. Definitely look into contacting your utility company or any other service providers that work with water heaters. Almost everyone runs payment plans these days which is super helpful!

As for me, I have my 6 week post partum appoinment today. Hoping all goes well and I'm fully cleared for all exercise. I received partial clearance at my 6 week visit, thought I've probably done more than I should have since that time. :/
I did great on calories yesterday coming in at right about 1200. I also hit the gym for weight training. I can feel the soreness today, but it's definitely a good sore if you know what I mean. Today will be day three of week one c25k. All the other days I've completed it in my neighborhood. Today I'm going to try to do it on the treadmill and see if it works. I'm not sure switching speeds will be as quick as just running by myself. We shall see!

Thumbs up

I'm still running about 5 days a week and still lurking. I'm so glad May is (almost) finally here, Summer is right around the corner!

Let's make it another good month, everyone!

Call me crazy but I've decided to wear a dark purple wedding dress. The contrast with the turquoise water is gorgeous...Besides, I'm not one to follow traditional rules anyway, I like to be different.

This is not the dress but you'll get the idea of the color scheme I'm aiming for, flowers will be white:

Hi everyone!!! I would like to join the weight loss challenge for the month of May. We will be going to Seattle some time in July. I will be seeing family there and I want to lose 20 pounds by then. I was 170.4 this morning and wish to be 150 by the time we go on vacation. I will weigh myself everyday and try to post daily. Today I went to the gym and had a nice work out. I don't count calories but I measure my portions. I really need to do this for myself, and lose the weight. Especially now that we have a vacation planned, I want to look my best.

I'm all for non-traditional ideas too...At my first wedding, my DH (at the time) had his best friend (A GIRL!! lol) stand up as his "best man" instead of the traditional guy...Anyhow, I think that color scheme will look amazing!!! I hope you share pics when it's all over!

the scale hates me i've said it before...in fact it might even be broken but i keep using it anyhow....it shows a bounce of 3 pounds despite eating well, eating smaller amounts, exercising hard, etc....my normal routine...and i can visually SEE that i'm losing weight in some areas around my stomach...and the scale still went up *sigh*

i was not able to get to the gym this morning...i had a training to be at that i organized (I wasn't doing the actual training) but it was a great training on childhood PTSD....now to work for the rest of the day
