I didn't do horribly in April, considering I was waylaid by a knee issue and the flu and distracted by spring break. But I want to do better this month.

My goals for May are to complete weeks 4-7 of C25k and work out 22 out of 31 days.

I'm going to join the 1500 min club, plus do arms 3 x a week, don't want to lose my teeny muscles :lol:

Thanks Joy, this challenge really makes me focus on getting in my exercise on those days I feel like skipping!

Hmm.... maybe if I hold myself accountable to someone other than myself, maybe I'll get my butt moving more. This cold, wet spring has been hurting me in the exercise department!

Goal for May is just to do something EVERY day - no matter how big or small - just to promise to do SOMETHING! Unlike today where I'm acting like a slug! I will keep track with my body media fit. Steps and activity minutes. Aiming for minimum 8000 and 45 minutes.

Hello again. I lasted only 15 days in the April excercise challenge and then I stoped tracking my activity. There wasn't much of it anyway. I'm starting again and this time I'm giving myself a different challenge: To burn at least 1400kcal per week with excercise (average 200kcal per day). I hope I'll do better than in the last one.

I have never made my goal yet so let's try once again.
I am going to make it easier on me and try to over achieve for a change.

So I am going to workout either at the gym or dvd at home at least 12 times this month.

May 3rd. I had other small workouts, but not one that counts towards my goal of 1 hour continuous so today I got off my behind and did it first thing. One down 11 to go!

May 4th. I walked out into the field to see what my cat was going crazy over and he had caught a snake! First time my knees reached my chin as I high stepped it to get out of that field as quick as I could. So I ran from that field, through our north field pass the barn and the garage and straight into the house! I am not going to count it since I didn't take but a few minutes, but I mowed 6 acres and hit a snake while mowing and found a huge and I mean HUGE hole that had a snake in it! I have never seen a snake in the 3 years that I have lived here!

May 6th. I finally got my Stair Stepper out and keep a stepping to Season Seven of Pysch on Netflix. Made it just enough to record it :)

Good idea, Sally. Reasonable starting goals met = getting things done!

For me, I'm feeling pretty strong from meeting last month's reasonable goal. I'm planning to do at least 18x weights sessions in May and 6x Krav Maga classes.

25 straight jogging miles (the jogging miles I accomplish without stopping to walk); complete 30 day plank challenge, complete 30 day squat challenge, complete 30 day arm challenge

I'm just updating my initial post, but I am finding this challenge is actually making me walk and do stuff even when I don't want to - like yesterday.

I need to mow really, really, really bad... That will be the bulk of my exercise today - pushing an electric mower through tall grass - that and walking to and from school twice to pick up the kiddo.

Dang have TOTALLY slacked!! I was thinking to myself how hard will it be to keep up with at least 30 minutes of exercise while me friend is here from out of town but we did a little too much partying! :carrot: SO I will be hitting hard the rest of the month to HIT my GOALS!!!

We did do A TON of walking so I am going to count some of those miles -- my Fitbit was routinely between the 15K-21K in steps so I think I will take probably like half of those for miles walked on those days.

The back of my knee hurts when I do step aerobics; so I will be taking some time off of aerobics, bummer. -- I can walk etc fine without the pain. It is just the stepping up part that triggers the pain :cry:

He kept following me down the road and I was afraid he'd get hit by a car, so I took him back to the house and locked him in their yard when no one answered the door.

Yeah, gardenerjoy, I'm discovering that I just can't get away from the dogs no matter which way I go! If I go right, there's a big retriever that tries to chase me. If I go on the dirt road, there's a scary scary shepherd mix that growls and barks behind a fence. And apparently if I go left, there's a super friendly mutt that wants to get himself run over by a car if I don't help him out. I like dogs, but geesh! Sometimes I just want a quiet run!
