My name is Diane, I will be 41 on the 28th of July. I thought that I would buy the SBD book today and read it this weekend. Sort of a birthday present to myself. I plan to start beach'in it on July 29th. I have 100 pounds to lose and this plan seems to be the most realistic. So hello everyone and nice to meet you all.

Hi Diane...
I'm new too...just got the book yesterday and started to ween myself off bad carbs.
Starting on Monday full force.
I'm 43, newly engaged for the first time'!! and have about 50 lbs to lose.
I've tried them all...Carbohydrate Addicts Program, WW, Jenny Craig (yrs. ago), Atkins...yadda yadda...
This seems like a great easy to follow program and the support on this board seems wonderful.

I"ll be a regular on the Daily Threads board..hope to see you there!!
