Default Poll:Stats update

Since I'm new and getting a feel for SBD..

How much have you lost?

How long have you been on the diet?

What was the hardest part of the diet for you?

Thanks,
Di

8 pounds in the first week, none since. The hardest part was/is not losing the second week. No headaches or weak spells but I have been on low carb for a while.

Ruth...same thing happened here. I am in my 10th week and have lost 12...(NOBODY GO BY ME PLEASE), I am very happy, but I lose very SLOW.

First two weeks lost 5 pounds, third, forth and fifth week, NOTHING, but I didn't give up!!! I knew this had to work!!! I have lost 7 more in the last five weeks. I always said, even if I lost one pound a week, I'd be happy. It will take me a year at this rate...but hey, I'm worth it!!!

So didi, I do not have the "usual and typical results" you might want to hear...but this way of eating has become a way of life for me. I am happy, healthy and can live with this forever. It is NOT a FAD Diet. I am almost 51, menapausal, and hypothyroid, so for me this has been wonderful.

Hope you join us here!

Meg

WELCOME DI!!!!!

11 pounds in 3 weeks. The thing I love about SBD is that I haven't been hungry, and I'm not having a lot of cravings!!! Entering phase 2 has been tough for me. I added in bread and it set me off. I'm looking at this as a lifelong change though, so I'll be experimenting to see which combinations work the best. Everybody is slightly different!!!

I was a May 12th starter along with my DH. As of today I've shed 28 & DH 22.
I think the hardest thing was breaking the old habits of stoping to eat somewhere every time we went out. The fast food industry must be hurting! The cravings went but the habits were hard to break.

That is WONDERFUL Cindy!!! You've been doing GREAT!! You are right about habits too. I am trying to get my family to bear with me and keep certain things out of the house until I can develop new habits!!

Hi. I've been on since May 14 and as my sig line shows, I've lost 21 pounds. Nothing has really been exceptionally hard. I've had to tell friends I have to eat at another restaurant if they were wanting Italian or Chinese, they've been great about that. Other than that nothing has been hard, it's a great way of eating for me!

Hi

I'm loving this way of eatting. I have been on it for 2 weeks and have lost 11 pounds. But what I really love is that I have lost an inch in my waist and tummy . I haven't had any big problems. A little tired and dragging at first, but now I am fine. I am planning on doing this for life.

195 (high)/185 (start weight for SBD on 7/5/03)/174/140

HELLO! I HAVE BEEN ON SBD SINCE MAY 12TH. I LOST 10 PDS THE FIRST 2 WEEKS, THEN I WENT ON PHASE 2 AND STALLED. LAST WEEK I WENT BACK TO PHASE 1 AGAIN AND LOST 5 MORE. TOTAL OF 15 PDS. WHEN I STALLED WE WENT ON VACATION AND EAT OUT A FEW TIMES, SO I DID EAT A LITTLE BIT OFF THE DIET, I WAS ABLE NOT TO GAIN ANY BACK. I AM REALLY ENJOYING THIS DIET, I THINK I CAN REALLY MAKE THIS ONE WORK. I STILL HAVE 25 PDS MORE TO LOSE UNTIL I REACH MY GOAL.

Hello ...

Started SBD 6/1 ... lost 6 pounds 1st two weeks ... was too scared to start phase II and stayed in phase I another week loosing another 3 lbs ... then I totally lost it for about a week (started snacking on Carbolite bars, which led me back to real chocolate). Managed not to gain anything and went back to Phase I 7/20.

This time I'm going to stick to Phase I for two weeks only then start Phase 2 ... I think what freaked me out was staying on Phase I too long!!!! But I am 9 pounds than I was on June 1, so that is a success !!!!!!

Hello all, lost a total of 7.4 lbs. I was really good for the first 2 weeks but then Aunt Flo came and I fell off the wagon. Well I am back on and have lost 2 lbs since Sunday. That is it I am determined to lose this. I think the hardest part for me is the constant food shopping. I feel like I live in the grocery store. Anyone else feel this way? How do you deal with it?

Coco, I use it as an excuse to get a walk in. We do a big shop every two weeks, and I'm trying to shop for the fresh stuff (meat and veg) daily. It's keeping my fridge free from rotting vegetables, and forcing me to get a bit more exercise than I'm used to.
We live in Centretown, though, so it's easy for me to walk somewhere to shop... your situation may be different to mine.

I started SBD on 6/9 weighing 140#. My goal is to weigh 125# so I had a total of 15# to lose.

I now weigh 131# (lost another pound since I weighed-in on Monday ).

I've lost 9# (6 of them in P1) and only have 6 more to go to reach my goal.

The hardest part for me has been to change my evening snacking habits . Since I do not have the evening cravings that I used to get , I feel that I'm on my way to being able to maintain my losses.

What I love about SBD is that I can eat healthy, never be hungry and can have an occassional "treat" and STILL be able to lose weight or maintain it when I reach my goal.

Keep in mind that I'm 48 and perimenopausal so this has been a life-saver for me.
