I did the warm up, yellow, blue and abs on U5 today.

While that sounds like nothing particularly special, it was for me because I've never been able to get through 2 miles in a row before. I've done 2 miles in a day, but usually hours apart. Today I did everything right in a row. So, a little thing, but it shows improvement for ME! Increased stamina I guess.

Miles 1,2,3 of walk slim five really big miles. It's interesting because I wear my Fitbit when I do these and I was surprised to see that I only had 4800 steps after these three miles. Yesterday with three of the 5 mega miles I had 6200 steps and most of the others are around 5200 steps. I don't know if knee lifts add a step or not, but there are tons of those I the one I did today.

Carol, I'm not sure! I get emails from the Walk At Home site so I'll have to check there. Amazon might email when new one comes out since I've ordered from there, they email me about everything else!!! But it is a shame there is. nowhere to watch previews anymore.

May I join in the conversation. I just started doing a Leslie rotation as well. I have been doing her walks for about two weeks now. When you have been out of the regular exercise game, it is so hard to get back in. I am finally up to 3 miles on her walks.:p

Miles 1,2,3 of walk slim five really big miles. It's interesting because I wear my Fitbit when I do these and I was surprised to see that I only had 4800 steps after these three miles. Yesterday with three of the 5 mega miles I had 6200 steps and most of the others are around 5200 steps. I don't know if knee lifts add a step or not, but there are tons of those I the one I did today.

I have a love/ hate relationship with the knee lifts! I actually am seeing some fairly quick results from them, but boy do they hurt.

My H & I are doing walk it off & tone it up with bands. We made it to 3 miles for the first time this week, and we're planning on doing it 2 more times this week before I leave for a vacation with our little one.

I am new-ish to the forum & this is my first time posting on this thread, so I hope I'm alright here! I love the Leslie video, I honestly didn't think it would be a good workout for me and did it on a rainy day, but she is a butt-kicker!! I love her positive attitude.

Welcome Beverly! I had not exercised in over 24 years when I started back in July. I love these work outs. They are very effective and she is so motivating. My DD asked me if I was going to try other videos and I said NO! Why should I when I love this, I can do it and motivates me!

Welcome ConstellationMama! I love her positive attitude also. I've said it on here before but some times I just don't feel like doing it but once I start I feel SO much better afterwards because of the things she says. I love in the older videos when she says raise your hands and count your blessings and when she reminds us we are helping our heart, blood pressure, mood and all the other things. I also love that I can do it at home. I hate having to go somewhere to work out, which is why I didn't for so long!

I did 3.5 of the four mile Power Walk. Didn't have enough time for the full four, so just cut it short. I had been skipping days on planking because of twinges in lower back, but I have done it all week. I did two minutes today. No idea how! On Monday I could barely make it to 1:30 which is where I had left off a couple weeks ago. So the planking was supposed to be a 30 day challenge to get to two minutes. It started on Jan 1, so 4x as long for me, but I'm fine with that! I'm shocked since ten seconds was brutal in Jan.

I switch off between Leslie and the treadmill and just the past week or so a walk outside. Love using the resistance bands. Today I will do the 5 mega mile walk, because it is raining (I hope it melts more snow) I am borrowing a friends dvd right now so next week I'll have to go back to my 4 mile dvd. I try to do 5 miles a day 6 days a week with a rest on Sunday. I walk outside when the weather permits so Leslie and I have been moving together all winter long!

hey gang :wave: i've been too busy for my own good! :faint:
been on my feet most days til 9 pm, going thru mom's things and packing things up and putting some things at my house, packing up my dishes for son, and putting mom's dishes at my house - just lots of busyness!

Saturday I cleaned my house for 8 hours (yes it was that bad) and so that was my exercise for that day.

This morning I drug my behind out of the bed at 5 am and did 2 miles with Leslie :cheer: I used The Big Burn.

I also do my planks everyday... gotta keep that core strong!

Im thinking the main way we are gonna hear about new workouts is thru Leslie's facebook page. but yea, what a bummer not to be able to review them at collagevideo any longer.

Leslie says "You're half done now!" and my phone rings. I had to take it so I did, then I restarted the dvd right where I stopped and finished. So maybe a small cheat in that I had a break. Still hard though and I am sooooo sweaty. Eww

I did 3 miles this morning! I used the Radio Remixes dvd. I have to add some movement and arms to that workout... it just doesn't feel like that much of a workout for 3 miles, but I like having some music. also did hand weights and planks.

Yes, Marvin is fun to watch! I have nicknames for most of them In that DVD. Well, not nicknames but they remind me of famous people. The one with white hair reminds me of a young Suzanne Sommers (sp?) and then Bernadette reminds me of Will Smiths wife. I don't even know if he is still married to her. Then there is one who reminds me of Jennifer Anniston. And I can't remember the others right now, lol. Oh the things the mind wanders to while walking. That's probably why I sometimes space out and miss a HIIT! Well, that seals it I'm doing the Party DVD tomorrow!

Not that I know of, but she keeps asking for people for her infomercial so hopefully that will be to sell something new, not to sell Party and Remix. I agree with what you said earlier about a Motown DVD. I did suggest it on her fb page a while ago after you said it. I really enjoy the Proud Mary walk which is sort of like Motown.

Hello everyone! Finally checking in and trying to restart exercising. Sure didn't want to as I've gotten used to getting up, drinking coffee and lazing around until time to get showered and ready for work. Got a late start this morning, but did almost 3/4 mile from the 5 Day Fit Walk, Get Up and Get Started. Felt good just to be moving. I have to be really careful with my arms and shoulders. I can't believe how much they are bothering me even after 3 months since surgery. I wanted to post a pic of my neck xray to show you guys, but I can't get it to work.

Just the Blue mile on U5 today. Really sore from yesterday. Note to self: The blue mile is my least favorite mile. I hate the jumping jacks and Leslie is a liar when you're doing the up and out arm thing in the second half. She says "4 more!" and like eight or ten later finally stops.

Maui, haha I love the blue mile! It's my favorite because of the music. As far as the jumping I do not jump. When she jumps I jog but jog where I kick legs behind me. Then when she does jumping jacks I jog lightly the normal way. I do this on all DVDs. I can't jump due to bladder issues :o so I have come up with these jogging options instead. Why I can jog and not jump is beyond me! I have noticed that during the jumping jack part her mouth doesn't move with the sound properly, it's like they cut it and spliced it back wrong, which is obviously not how they make movies anymore, lol.

Tomorrow is my day off. Had my class tonight and we went all the way past ten. I get home so hyped I can't fall asleep so I have to change alarm to 5:30 instead of 4:30! On my spring break I will be sleeping in!!!

Awesome. I was hoping I wasn't alone. People who say they LOVE exercise baffle me. I like Leslie tapes more than most other forms but I am still sweaty and gross and tired when exercising and I've not yet reached the point at which I can say "YEAH! FEELS GREAT!" :o

Yesterday was my day off. I darn near talked myself in to another day off today. But I sucked it up. I did 2 miles of 3 mile party. But I sort of cheated because somehow I skipped the warm up and it went right in to mile 1. Then I did the DVD til just past when the "2 mile" banner came up. I was a little confused about where I was in the DVD because not doing the warm up threw off my groove.

First day of my spring break! Although I do have to teach tonight at my second job. So I slept in till 8:15! It was glorious. Did three miles of the four mile power walk. I know it sounds ridiculous but I hurt my back by sleeping so long, lol. Not hurt bad, but just a slight twinge so I took off the day from planking. Going from 5-6 hours sleep to 9-10 hours always hurts my back I guess because I'm laying so long. Most people hurt their back by lifting, I hurt mine by sleeping. :dizzy:

hey gang :wave:

I just wanted to drop in and touch base. been, well, been tied up with family. my hubby's mom passed away last Saturday. you might remember that my mom recently passed. we lost both of our moms 40 days apart :( so it is has been, well, it's been crazy. had planned to exercise today but my father in law and some of our other family spent the day here, so didn't get it in and now I don't feel like it.

I will try hard to get in some exercise tomorrow and will post it.

i forgot to mention that i also twisted my ankle. a week ago i fell at my mom's house in the part of the floor that sinks down where the washer & dryer were, trying to turn off the security alarm in the dark. they worst part was, no one was there to get it on video so I could make money on Funniest Home Videos ;)

sooooooo I rode my exercise bike for 30 minutes on Saturday. :bike:

and then again this morning for 20 minutes :bike: and 10 minutes of hand weights :strong: but gosh the exercise bike is soooooo boring compared to the walking (at least to me) but it's what i can do while my foot gets better.

never a dull moment round these parts ;)

Got a text from my DS that he had to take his GF to ER last night so could I go feed and let out dogs. She thought she must have had food poisoning. So I did and then they got home and I took the GF and dogs to my house but she is still really sick. She is still very sick and they gave her anti-nausea meds. So not going to be able to walk this morning if at all! But I'm walking non-stop in the house with a puppy and my dog and their lab! It's good it happened when I am on Spring Break though!

Thanks! I ended up taking her back to ER because we called and they said to do that. So we were there about 5 hours -- mostly waiting! She is starting to feel better. I guess whatever medicine they gave her just wasn't effective on her.
So no Leslie today. But tomorrow I should be back on! My Fitbit says I'm at over 12,000 steps which is as much as I do most days (including Leslie). Usually my 3 mile walks are around 5500 steps then I walk about 5500 or more just in the course of the day. I was pacing at the hospital because it was taking so long. But I didn't use any Leslie moves, haha.

I did the 3 mile party this morning and planking.
I left the puppy golden retriever out because he was sleeping and he was so good the whole time -- but then when I started the planking he woke up (because I was on the floor) and licked my neck and ears constantly. Don't know how I kept going two minutes. But it was distracting. Forgot to even give my thanks and prayers!

We had a scare last night with the Golden puppy! I was wishing I had a way to contact Carol! He threw up about an hour before dinner. Then after he ate vomited all that up and then 2 or 3 more times that night! At around 10:30pm he wouldn't even take a treat (which we gave him just to see if he would eat it). We were debating taking him to the Emergency Vet (we've dropped a ton of money there over the years!) and we gave him water one last time at 11, which he drank. We only let him have a little because we were worried. Then he slept all night and is fine this morning. I know he was totally exhausted because he was pretty much up most of the day with me. But that's no reason for vomiting of course. Also he was eating grass (although I stopped him each time I saw it). I had to drop DD and GF off at airport at 6am and they were a nervous wreck to see if he ate his breakfast okay when I got back. He did and has been his normal self! We are just watching him and the lab until Sunday night.

Hills are tough! We have none in Florida and when I go somewhere with hills I'm amazed, lol.

I saw a news story about a girl who planked for one hour!!!! She was doing it to raise money for a cause, but I missed the cause.

I did the Ultimate DVD, my usual green, yellow and blue and then arms and planking. After that I went to church and they had the blood mobile, which I had an appt for. I have always had low blood pressure but it was below 90, so I couldn't give blood. They said to wait about ten minutes and then give, so in 10 minutes it was above 90. Very strange! Not sure if it was the exercising or church!
