Okay, I've got the new spreadsheet ready for the next challenge BUT...I need someone to take over ownership and running of it.

Long story short, I've decided to phase off IP and go in another direction to lose the last 12, 13lbs I need to lose. Let's just say my clinic transitioning to another diet product and now my coach leaving, was the start of my decision to do this.

There's not much to it but being familiar with spreadsheets/Excel would help. It would also have to be someone who is able to PM because that's the easiest way to receive information on who wants to sign up, etc.

So, PM me if you're interested - even a couple of people doing it would work well.

I managed to whittle out 16 pounds during the last 12 weeks. measly it may be, but I am quite happy with my progress. I am willing to stay on low-carb protocol until the end of 2014. Why not? I am not suffering from any feeling of deprivation or adverse effects. Overall, I did not meet 25 but I will gladly take 16.

On the summer challenge:
Midway through the next challenge, I have a two-week vacation in my home country. I am not sure how I can persevere with my veggie-protein diet amidst dinner parties and my mom's sinfully-scrumptious dishes. Let me think about and prepare for it.

At any rate, I want to join the summer challenge and plan to shed 15 pounds, hitting 153 by June 20.

These challenges used to be more "open" but someone trolled one of the spreadsheets and changed all the data. smh :?: You'd think people would have more to do in life... I feel sorry for them.

Lisa, thanks for doing this. I think it is a great motivator or way to track our progress on the scale. As we all know (and I continue to remind myself) it is no all about the # on the scale.

Did you get an email saying you'd been added?
When you sign up, you're requesting permission.
I have to manually allow everyone so it only happens when I'm online, on my computer. It doesn't work on my mobile devices.

I have sent in my request! I am looking forward to this challenge. I have been on the plan since January 1 and have only lost 18 pounds. It seems so little compared to everyone else. However, I am going down on the scale and that is what is important. I hope this challenge provides me extra motivation!!! NO CHEATING! :hug:

I am back in this with no breaks this time! I have completed my training and climbed a mountain. I am coming off of a 2 week break/vacation and my head is in the right place. I'm actually researching other coaches in the area. There is one connected to a doctor's office I may call.
We'll see how the first couple of weeks go...

I have also been researching other clinics because I heard the coach I love is leaving but I have serious issues with paying for $10-20 each WI on top of the food cost. Ya. No. I won't pay for WI if I'm paying for food. That is price gouging. They can charge me for one or the other but not both.

i love this diet -- its so simple and yet the biggest eye opener for me.

1.9 lbs in 6 days. I did my weigh in one day early because schedule is crazy tomorrow. My morning scale is 1/2 lb more this morning than yesterday and I think that having soy sauce for the first time since starting IP did that to me. Note to self: no soy sauce evening before weigh in.

I have come back to IP to lose past my initial goal. I was always intimidated by the 25lb challenges (because I felt like it was a group of people that already knew each other). I know I was being silly. I didn't realize how soon summer was!! Any loss is going to be great!!

I couldn't figure out how to save my name in excel, making laugh at myself. If adding my info is going to be the hardest thing on this challenge we are all going to do wonderfully!

Hi everyone

If you made changes in the wee early morning hours (today), they may have been deleted.

I did it.

Someone made changes to the column headings & formula in a column & I to revert to a previous save, which deleted all data after the error. Your name was attached to the changes so please be careful.

NicoleRoper, you are one person who was affected (but you were not the person who changed the column). Please re-enter your data

Everyone:
Please only edit your own data in your own row.
If other data is changed, I'll have disallow access to protect everyone else's data.

Google docs saves automatically. Nothing to do after you enter your data. You should see a little notation above the spreadsheet "saving". On my screen it is right next to "help" (In the google doc, not in your browser). Or it may just quickly say "all changes saved in drive".

All you need to do is find your spot, type your number, hit return and you're done!

This is one of those situations that we need to play together in the sandbox to keep it woring correctly.

To All:
Just go to the column for the week and type in pounds lost, just like the spreadsheet directs.
All other columns, read & follow directions. If it says no need to enter anything here, then please DO NOT. Because when you delete, you also delete the formula (best is to click "undo" instead of delete).

Please DO NOT type in the yellow, green or pink columns.
If those formulas don't work, just leave it alone. I'll notice and fix it.

Lisa-- it was early Monday morning before you reverted the spreadsheet back to fix the formula. Looked like someone mistakenly put the weight they are currently at in the columns where you should be putting pounds lost and i think that is what would cause the formula to not work.

Reminder to post weigh-ins from last week
We are starting Week 3!

Also, a reminder. Just enter the numeral of the lbs you lost.
If you lost 1 lb, just enter 1
If you enter -1, the formula will ADD one lb (it sees that as a weight gain), which may or may not be accurate for your particular situation.

After surgery you will have inflammation (water weight)
You may wish to wait until swelling has subsided to weigh.

I am weighing in a day late this week due to Good Friday. I must admit that on this diet I really look forward to weigh ins.

6! Wow! I never had a loss above 3 after my first week.

FYI to all:
I'm going to make some adjustments this weekend to people who haven't been participating so that we can get an accurate picture of how we're doing as a group.

right now it says we are 13% to goal as a group, however, if the folks who weren't participating weren't calculated in, we're at 15%!
So, if you want to participate but haven't added any WL at all so far, update your info. (enter a plain number if you've lost and a negative number if you've gained)

I won't remove anyone, I'll just adjust goal weight to starting weight, which will calculate a desired WL of 0

New (this week) folks, I know who you are. You're safe.

hello fellow Summer Challengers, so excited that I lost 5lbs this week. I finally listened and stopped exercising and my body responded. I know, I know you all have been saying that. I am a little thick at times. Great job everyone this week. We will be ready for summer !

I was thinking how funny that the scales at my IP center are both 2lbs. less than my scale at home. I will have to get on my home scale tomorrow. I forget this is a daily journey, a new way of living. I forget it's not just the number on the scale and then I will be done and happy. I lost 25 lbs last spring proceeded to not go through the phases on IP and of course it all came right back after 6 months. Not this time I am sticking to the protocol. I like that better than saying diet.
Loving hearing of everyone's journey here.

Everyone is doing so well! I'm going to be jumping back in the challenge on May 19 when I start my second leg of phase 1. I know I won't lose 25 lbs in the time that's left but I still like joining in :)

I figured out that in 8 months + 1 week, I have lost an average of 4 1/2 pounds a week. I weighed in yesterday and my coach told me I have lost a total of 144 pounds. Amazing! I now have 44 pounds left to get to my goal. For the first time ever, I feel like maybe that can actually happen (if I don't get too over-confident).
This summer challenge helps to keep me going. I like number crunching.

I would love to join this! I started IP on May 1st and so far I love it. I miss my cheese though. :( Bread and pasta too.
But giving up those is so worth seeing the scale go down!

Followed the plan to a T and gained two pounds. This is not good since i have many opportunities this weekend to not follow plan..wedding, guests staying over the long weekend etc...wish me luck! Very discouraged!

A 2.4 lb loss at my WI yesterday allowed me to hit the 25 lb mark! I love participating in the Summer Challenge; it's such a great motivator & support system!

Wow what a good week. I was 207 on Tuesday at my new weigh in day (cause of holiday) and I am now as of today 202.8.... I don't know how I am doing so good this week, but I still have 3 days till official weigh in.

WI day for the 11-or so people still committed to finish what they started.

So far, 2 people have hit their total WL goal
10 people have met or surpassed the 25 lb mark
6 of the remaining 11 have already hit their 25 lb goal.

These stats are fantastic and show how important it is to STICK TO THE PLAN! It works!

I didn't reach 25 lbs BUT I did make it to GOAL!!! Whoop whoop!!! I can't believe I have lost 42lbs. Someone asked me the other day how much I had lost and when I told them, there was stunned silence, followed by massive amounts of compliments. Go me!!! Good luck to everyone and thanks Lisa for setting up the challenge.

I'm thinking about starting to hang around the maintenance threads a little even though I have 40lbs to go I know it will happen fast and maintenance is scary.

When I started IP, I had maintenance in my sites from the get-go. Mostly because of a previous significant weight loss and regain. After losing my first 50 on IP, I started lurking with the maintainers. I didn't post, but rather took the time to read and learn from them. I've learned if I really want to learn from others, sometimes I have to sit back and resist the urge to chime in.

Congrats to all who found success on the challenge! You all rock!
