First timer!
Hi everyone, this is my first time here and also the first time using a weight-loss support forum, so here's hoping I meet lots of inspiring/motivating people (i'm sure i will)!
A bit about me; I'm 27 and have felt fat most of my life but have only really been fat since about 2005 when I went away to university. Since last summer I gained about 20lbs (thanks to having no will power and a boyfriend who loves pizza, candy and all carbs) which has put me at my heaviest weight EVER. So right now i'm at 225, and I want to get down to at least 170 (i've never actually seen 17-anything on the scale), and maybe another 20 after I reach that goal.
I started working on a program with a trainer at the gym and although I enjoy the energy and strength I'm gaining, i'm still unable to get the weight to start coming off. So i'm trying to focus on tracking my calories with the my fitness pal app and by joining support systems like these to get advice/learn from others and to gain motivation.
Anyway, i'll cut it here and just say i'm looking forward to being a part of this community!
