So I saw someone had made a new Get Me Out of the 190s thread and I thought I'd make a new 180s thread as well!
So welcome everyone who is working to get through the 180s!
Introduce yourself, maybe tell your story, or tell us how your journey is going right now...
My name is Stephanie, I'm a newly admitted lawyer, and last year was a tough year-- between finishing law school, studying for the bar, waiting for results, and now trying and failing at finding a job. I've been on this site on and off for a couple years. I've never been skinny or fit and every time I've tried to get healthy I have failed, until now (I hope)!
I've always been afraid of doing this on my own. I've tried to make my fiancť change with me and it hasn't worked. Finally, I've realized that I need to do this for me. So, I've been using MyFitnessPal and sticking to calories, going to Bikram Yoga 2-4 times a week, and this week I started going to the gym and trying out strength training.
Hopefully from now on I can stay motivated!

Hey ..... U are not alone here... I have been in the 180s for a while now (more than 3 months which means I havent done anything about it but I am determined to this time around) and want to move out of it at the earliest possible... I am joining u too :D :D
Looks like we are pretty much around similar stage in the 180s hope we get out of it soon :D

Yeah, making my way there. I'm going on spring break next week and ill be home. I'm very nervous because I always gain weight when I go home. But it'll be good practice for this summer when I'm home for 3 months.

I was so happy to find this thread!
I am late-20s with a remote, stressful job, which means that I work a lot of hours from home. This has been detrimental to my health - I hardly leave the house (or my desk), and my health/weight have paid the price. I am also in Chicago, and this weather has made it really difficult to get outside to get any exercise.
I am at the higher end of the 180s, but I am inspired by you all and can envision breaking out of the 180s in no time.

After stepping off the scale this morning, I am 187.8! I've lost 12.2 pounds in the last two weeks! Hooray :D Keep it up girls!
grinchygirl -- I am on my spring break, too. I know what you mean about going home. There are lots of temptations here. But you just gotta stick to the healthy choice. Yeah, those chips may taste good now, but are they really worth it, etc. I'm with ya in spirit!

The next 3 pounds are taunting me, I want to be able to say I'm not obese and ill never be obese again. I'm so close. I know the number is probably arbitrary, I'm fit and muscular and eating clean. But I'm so done with obesity, I'm over it.
I know in two weeks ill lose those 3 pounds and it won't sink in for awhile. I still can't believe I'm under 200, I'm afraid I'm going to break my weightloss, whatever that means. Its been a struggle for me to accept that I can and will lose the weight despite having a pretty successful start.

I've been in the low 190s the past few days and I'm impatiently waiting to find myself in the 180s. Was 190.8 this morning. Hoping to see anything below 190 tomorrow.. :)

I was able to maintain over spring break so that's something. It would have been nice to lose but I didn't gain, so yay!
I'm ready to see the 170s, I have a few weeks to go, but I'm ready to do it!

nlauah Maybe change up what you're doing a little bit? I noticed that when I go on my clean-eating kick for the week my weight drops and then stalls by the end of the week. But my cheat day kicks it into gear again and, when I think I'm sabotaging myself, I manage to drop some more. (And I don't really go crazy on my cheat day, it's more like a cheat meal and it's still somewhat healthy.)
Down to 185.6 this morning. VERY excited! I was hoping to be down to 185 by the end of the month but I think I might surpass that goal. About 3 more lbs until I complete my first mini-goal. :)

I've been hanging around 181 to 182 the last 3 months. Got to get moving again. I just restarted using myfitness pal on Saturday. I hope to hit 170's by the end of the month.

hi ladies! I'm here back in the 180's unsure where exactly..Last I seen was 189.6. That was 2 days ago and I have been doing well so I doubt its higher! Getting batteries for the scale this evening..so I can weight in the morning!
I reached 176 pre Thanksgiving and then had some health issues with deteriorated
my spirit. SO now Im back at it to reach my goal of 165. Im currently at 1356 calories and 60p/20/20 for my macro intake and its going well!

Down to 185.6 today!! Deja vu..this has happened like 3-4 times already. I reach around 185 lbs and then then slip up, and go back to around 187!! Not this time, I won't let it happen!! Hope all you girls help me stay strong

I'm restarting today at 183 lbs - first time on this site for a while. I've just got home for the easter break so there are a whole set of challenges surrounding. However, my mum also wants to lose weight so I guess we can spur each other on! Hopefully I'll see the 170s very soon!

Had a mostly good day yesterday. Made a yummy leek and carrot soup for lunch and then a veg stir fry for dinner. All very good food, although I'm going to make sure I get a decent amount of protein in today. I ended up being pretty peckish though and had a slice of toast (fair enough) and then pigged out around midnight with squirty cream (that a vice of anyone elses?) and chocolate biscuits....already self sabotaging on day 1. Ah well, onwards and downwards!

Hey.. I am still in here.. Still hovering between 182-184.. made a trip to NY and it definitely did not help with the weight loss though I walked a lot!!! I am still in the same place I was a week before... Gotto beat this :(

So after a spike to the 187/188 range over the past few days I'm back down to 186. This is the lb that wont quit! (Also happens to be the pound between "obese" and "overweight" for me, grrrr!)
I'm going to try to be really good for the week :)

After seeing the same number on the scale repeatedly I got discourage and somewhat sabotaged myself. Was at 189 this morning. I REFUSE to get back into the 190s so back on the wagon I go.

Hi ladies I'd like to join! I've been holding pretty steady at 188-189 for the last two weeks, and with how slowly I've been losing I'll be here for a while. Yesterday's official weigh in was 188.5. Hoping to at least get to the lower 180's soon!

I fell off the wagon and hit the ground hard. 3 lb spike in two days. I feel crummy for eating poorly too, I'm going to take a few days to detox (lots of veggies, raw foods, no prepared junk, no pastries) and I'm sure the 3 lbs will fall off, but I'm mad at myself because the past three days could have been spent working on loss, not backtracking.

Ugh I had that 179.8 and then went up to 180.8 and today at 181.8.. I'm sensing a pattern. If I get up tomorrow and I'm 182.8, I may just have a cow. I haven't been active these past two days really. My little one is on spring break and the weather has been crappy (it snowed a day after we had 70-degree weather, wth?!).
This weekend we're going down to Pennsylvania with my cousin and her kids so I'll definitely be a lot more active. Going to try to eat as healthy as possible while we're down there as well. Hope to see the 170s by early next week.

For the longest time I was stuck right at 170 (like 2 years) Then I met someone 4 months ago and the scale has slowly went up to a wonderful 185 pounds! The last 4 months I gained 15 pounds and here I was complaining about always seeing 170. :(
So here I am, ready to get my health back in check. I can't figure out for the life of me why it's so hard this time around. This is my last year in my 20's and I want to make it count.

Good to see this thread. I've been stuck at 185 for over a month, but really I've been yo-yoing since I had my son in 2012 and this is the lowest I can get. Trying to add some walks and lots of water and hoping to eliminate stress to get to my pre pregnancy weight of 175. So close but so far

I thought I would say hi to everyone - very quickly! I hit 180.0 this morning so I will hopefully not be around long. I did plateau around 185 though, the first time since I started trying to lose weight. It is soooo frustrating! Good luck, and I hope to see you all in the 170s thread very soon!

Hi everybody, I haven't been on this forum for about two years.. I used to hang out in 160s/170s thread, but unfortunately I've crept up into the 180s! ;( Really really want to lose as much weight as I can in the next month, just so I feel a bit better going into the New Year, but I don't know how realistic that is, with Christmas coming up! I'm vegetarian so I usually eat pretty well, I love fresh veggies and salads, but I do eat too much cheese, carbs and chocolate is my major weakness. I keep saying I'm going to lose weight but I'm really bad at keeping motivation up for more than a few weeks. Well, here's to trying one more time..!

Wow!!!! I finally found you all!!! Please let me come too and we can all get to 170 together!!! I'm currently in the middle at about 184. (I always do weight by rounding up just to give me solid numbers). This is my first weight loss journey and I'm about a month in! I've dropped ten pounds (even if I don't feel like I have lost anything LOL).

Hi, can I join? I'm 185.4lbs. Have lost 14 pounds in seven weeks and this is the first time I've ever tried to lose weight.
Things are going pretty well so far (doing WW online). I've found it fairly easy to stick to and I've rented a treadmill and am going to yoga which is helping the weight loss too.
They've just dropped my points again to 27 which was a little bit devastating as there's not much wiggle room at that level but I'm doing OK.
