Hey where is everyone?

Good job Desiree for starting the new job. You are a little Brat, but hey I am proud of you for starting it. You even BEAT out CJ, who must be soaking the the old tub again. That's the only way we can beat her with starting the new thread. So consider yourself bratted and again good job.

Judy-Sorry about all the darn smoke around where you are and that is too bad about Allura having to go to the hospital, but thank goodness she is alright. I know you hated to see her go back home with her Mom, but at least you had what seems to me like a wonderful visit with her. It sounds like you had a great visit with your niece as well. Sometimes it does a person good to get out of the old homestead.

Kim-Yes I do believe I was wishing for rain and man like they always say "Be carefull what you wish for". LOL Talk about overkill, man the thing is that you guys up north of us got tons and tons of rain and good old Columbus, Indiana which is further south got some good soakings, but no floodings as of yet. I have been watching the news and can't believe what is up north of us. Gosh Kim, to think you were in a pop up camper in all of that. We have a pop up and endured many many storms when we were camping and traveling around the USA with the kids and it ain't fun believe me. But glad everyone is ok. As far as Chad watching Hannah, you know guys don't EVEN watch the kids like us eagle eye Mom's do. They just tend to tune everything out when they are tired and the old world could come crashing down around them and they would sleep thought it all. LOL Hope you can catch up on your much needed sleep soon.

Sylvia-Oh my gosh a jacuzzi in the birthing room? How relaxing that will be for you. I wish they would have had that when I had my kids. I am glad to hear that your baby showered turned out good, now you will be so busy running to the stores exchanging all that shorts in January stuff they gave you. LOL Only 3 more weeks to go. If I am getting excited and can't wait imagian how you must be feeling.

CJ-Hey girlfriend, where the heck have you been lately? We miss you and you are getting to be a MIA around here. Come on back and post with you, you can't be that busy. Like you tell me "POST RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL Come on tell us what you are thinking and how things are going in your life. Don't make me have to hurt you. HA HA HA As if I would Ever. Miss you much!

Well time to get going here and hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Love you guys, Sharon :grouphug:

Hello everyone!!!

What a week. Rain, rain, tornado, and more rain. But hey, what's the saying for Indiana?--If you don't like the weather, stick around it will change. Well I'm ready for a change!!! We have had flooding so bad around here. The parks are closed, roads are closed, but luckily no life lost, and very minimal damage. We did have another tornado. Actually a "weak funnel cloud." Well if it looks like a tornado and sounds like one, then it is one to me!!! I was at work Thurs night in Gas City, which is about 5 or 6 miles south east of Marion, where I live when the warning was issued. Luckily, like I said, a weak funnel cloud was spotted to the west of Marion, touched down briefly, and then went back up and didn't touch down anymore. Don't really know how long it stayed a funnel cloud before it did what ever they do when there done, but the emergency center received over 600 calls from people who spotted it. A picture of it even made the front page of the paper. I guess it rumbled the police station pretty good and scared them a good one. I am so thankful it didn't touch down because Chad and Hannah were at his parents house at that time and the path it was reported to have taken could of/would of wiped out there house or caused alot of damage. Thinking about it, our house probably would of been hit too. Thank God!!! Without Him, I probably would of panicked like I usually do (I was extremely peaceful through the whole thing--very strange for me), and my family is alive and well!!!!!

Enough of talking about the weather. I am back on 1st shift and Hannah starts a daycare center tomorrow. She has been staying up waiting on me at nights that I was afraid she would stay up late tonight, and then I would have to drag her out of bed at 6 in the morning but she was in bed by 8:30 and is sound asleep right now! Don't know what got into her, but at least she will sleep and maybe it will make for a good first day!

Got offered the 2nd shift job permantly, and would love to take it. I really loved the job, liked the people I work with and have always liked 2nd and/or 3rd shift better, anyway. But turned it down because of Hannah. I think it's better on her if I stay on first. I do like the job I'm on now, but just liked this one better.

Have had a little weight loss this week. About a pound, I think. I'm surprised it's not up, as I was eating right before going to bed at night, but probably the extra water I'm drinking at work, and the heat (which I don't eat alot at work because the heat makes me sick then) helped.

With Hannah now being in daycare, I'm hoping to be able to stop at the YMCA at least twice aweek after work, it I don't have to work over much. Have to pick her up by 6, and I figured if I don't work past 4, I can work out for about 1/2 to 1 hour.

Guess that's all I have for now.

Kim

Howdy Ladies!

I hope you are all doing well. Just popping in for a quick hello. July sure has been a busy month for me. We went to 2 parties in 2 days and a baby class. I know it doesn't sound like a lot but when you are 9 months pregnant it's a lot. Next week we have a baby shower to go to(not ours) and it's my Mom's birthday. Oh well, I need to get this all in while I still can. I have 2 1/2 weeks until my due date so my time is running out!

Desiree- Good job on starting the new thread! :bravo: Welcome to the "starting the new thread" brathood!

Sharon- Me? Excited? I don't really know what I feel. My sisters keep asking if I'm scared or nervous....and to be quite honest, I'm not. Since I don't know what to expect other than pain, I just feel blessed as I never thought I would be 9 months pregnant.

Kim- Wow, your weather sounds like it's been pretty rough the past few days. I've never been in a tornado...been in a couple of earthquakes but never a tornado. Glad to hear you and your family are fine and safe.

CJ- Where are you? We miss you! I hope everything is OK with you!

Well ladies, I'm off to fold baby clothes. My husband is almost done with the nursery (Thank God) so I've been doing lots of baby laundry and am getting my hospital bag ready! This is getting scary!

I hope you all had a great weekend and have a great week!

Hugs to all!

GOOD MORNING!

Oh my God, it's hot!!!!! It's been over 100 every day for the past week or so. Sure drains my strength fast whenever I try to do anything.

I should be getting ready to go to Curves for a workout this morning but I'm sitting here thinking up all kind of excuses for not going! My friend who lives across the street from me had heart surgery a few months ago and she has to get a release from her doctor before she can go to Curves with me. Wish she would hurry up and get it so maybe she could inspire me to get moving with her! After all, I pay every month for the privledge of using their equiptment, that should be enough inspiration!

After Doris took Allura back to Neb. she had to be admitted to the hospital there for an overnight stay. Now, DeeDee, (Doris' girlfriend), has gone into liver failure again. She is in the hospital in Omaha awaiting another major surgery, maybe a transplant this time. I told my daughter that God would repay her for all the pain and suffering she had caused when she was using drugs. Do you suppose he is really doing that? Naw, he would'nt do that,....... would he?

Sylvia, I was only 17 when my oldest daughter was born. I had no idea what to expect from the birthing experience. It was 44 yrs. ago and it wasn't talked about very much then. No-one had ever told me how much pain there would be. When I was on the delivery table with my feet strapped in the stirrups and the doctor sitting between my legs I was screaming at him, "You're killing me!" I thought he was causing all the pain, I guess. They had to knock me out completely in order to deliver my baby! When I woke up they told me I had a baby girl and I argued with them" No, I had a boy!" It's funny now, but the doctor seemed to think I was rejecting my little girl! Oh, and by the way....both of my daughters were 2 weeks early and my son 3 days, so be ready it could happen anytime!

Kim, please send some of that rain down this way. The weatherman has been predicting thunderstorms for us for a few days. Got a lot of noise and flashes but only a dribble of water.
I live in Okla. often called toronado alley, so I am used to the reports of storms coming. OKC has been hit pretty hard in the past few years but so far no major damage here in my home town. Thank Goodness!

Hugs, Judy

Hello Ladies!

I hope you are all doing well. Again, I'm just popping in for a quick hello. I'm a bit freaked out at the moment....seems like my baby may have turned into breech position. I have to go tomorrow to get another ultrasound to see what position he is in. If he is breech, then I have to go to a perinatologist and have the baby turned manually. I have no idea what that means but it doesn't sound like fun. If the manual turning doesn't work, then I have to decide whether to have him naturally or via c-section. I'll let you ladies know what they tell me tomorrow, pray that my bambino is head down!

Well ladies, I'm going to go for a walk to calm myself down.

Hugs to you all!

Sylvia

Hey, all.

Yes, it's Synger, back from the weight-gain trenches and willing to give it another try. And where do I go for support, like all the other times? The Thin Group, of course! /grin

Good to see some old names. Looking forward to meeting new members.

Good morning girlfriends – sorry I’ve been kinda MIA but we have had so much company up here I have not been able to sit still long enough to post – poor excuse I know, I’m sorry.

Desiree:
WTG on starting the new thread! BRAT! I’m glad everything is going well with your pregnancy … I like your pick of names.

Slyvia:
How did your test go? Is the baby’s head down? It’s almost time girl .. Don’t worry, everything will be just fine. I can’t believe a jacuzzi in the birthing room! Wow … didn’t have anything like that when I had my kids. How times have changed.

Judy:
Sorry to hear about Allura but glad to hear she is alright. Your niece moved where my oldest daughter lives, Wichita Kansas. Nice place to visit, would not want to live there.

Kim:
I don’t like storms but to be in a pop-up when a bad one hits is the pits! Glad you all are ok.

Synger:
WELCOME BACK GIRL!!! Glad to see you again … Our group has dwindled down a bit but a few of us stayed on and kept the door open for the “returnees” and “newbies” … lol

Sharon:
Hey girlfriend – I’m so excited – can’t wait for Saturday to come! We’re going to have a wonderful week of fun fun fun together! Macinac Island, casinos, campfires … etc etc etc. Can’t wait!

As you all noticed .. Sharon and hubby Ken are coming up to our “little heaven in the woods” this Saturday for a week … I’m so geeked, cannot wait! Sharon and Ken have been to our house in Royal Oak, but have never been up to our cabin in Gaylord … This is where (hopefully by next year) we will be building our new house and will be up here permanently! We’re half and half now .. up here 6 months and downstate 6 months … 2 addresses, 2 tax bills, 2 utilitiy bills, 2 computer bills, and so on and so on …. I’ll be so glad when we sell our house downstate and are up here all the time.

Well, I have been doing low-carb since the 1st of June and have lost 8 ˝ lbs, which is fantastic for me! 2 more lbs will take me into the 160’s!!! I CAN DO IT! :cb: :flow2: :dancer:

OK ... got to go now. I promise I won't stay away so long next time.

Love, CJ

Hi guys,
Just wanted to post today before I get out and about and get the things done I need to before our trip to see CJ and Dick tomorrow. :lucky:

I can't wait, we have been trying to get to CJ's cabin for quite a few years. I just love that area up north in Michigan, it is so beautiuful. I guess we are planning a couple of day trips, like to Mackinaw Island and Traverse City too. I used to love going to there when the kids were little for their class trips. It is a wonderful island that you have to take a boat to and the island doesn't allow any vehicles so you either have to walk or rent some bikes to ride while there. They have all these shops and did I mention FUDGE??? Yes they are famous for that. Than Traverse City is where they have lots of cherries and even have a national cherry festival, but I don't know when. I guess CJ is not too far away maybe an hour or so from both. So it should be a fun week.
I am getting pretty excited already.

synger-Well hello girlfriend and welcome back to the fold. It is great to have your back again. I checked out your pm;ome fitness journal and you are doing pretty good from what I see.I love asiago cheese and on a bagel it would be even better. You are doing great exercise wise too. I try, but when I am busy and going all the time in the summer I tend to slack off, something I need to work on. Maybe you can motivate me now that you are back. :barbell:

sylvia-How did it go with the ultrasound? Is you son in the breech postion? I was prayiing like you asked that he is head down. Hope you can deliver him the old fasioned way, but if not I have had 4 C-Sections so they really arn't that bad at all. At least after the 1st one, where I had 32 hous of labor, the rest of them I just scheculed so that was nice. Good Luck and let us know if it is heads or tails. :bb:

Judy-Sorry about Doris medical problems and hope that she is alright. No I don't think God is punishing her for her past. I think she has turned over a new leaf and is really trying to be a good person and a good Mom with Allura. Did they find anything out when she went in the hospital? Hope she is alright as well as her girlfriend, Dee Dee. Please let us know how they are both doing. :^:

CJ-Well it won't be long now. Ken and I will be leaving early tomorrow morning. I am bringing plenty of magazines to read as it will take like 7 or 8 hours, I think Ken said to get there. Get the buttershots ready for when I come. Don't drink it all either or we will have to just go out and get some more. I can bring mine if I have any if you don't have it there. I remember you had it in Royal Oak so let me know OK? Oh ya I forget we were going to the casino. I won't win big like you always do. I don't bet enough, just play quarter slots usually. But it will be fun anyways. Ken won't play, just watch me spend our money. LOL That low carb diet sure must be working for you, great job on that 8 1/2 lbs. You will have to tell me about it when I see you. Does this mean you won't be having any fudge on Mackinaw Island? Don't tell me I will have to eat some for you too? AND KEN AND DICK TOO?????
Just kidding I can't eat that much, just can't wait to get some of that fudge again that's all. :twirly:

Kim-Glad that you didn't have a tornato do some damage to where you live. Sorry that 2nd shift job you had to turn down, but you are doing he right thing Kim, putting Hannah first. That sounds like a good plan stopping by the WMCA. I always find that if I go home first I never make it to the gym cause I am so tired I can't move from the couch. This way you will make sure you get you exercise in. :strong:

Well everyone time to get off her and get some much needed things done.

I will try to post from CJ's computer, that is if she doesn't HOGG it all the time like she usually does. LOL I know we are going to be going going going all the time, but I will try. If not I will post when I get back home.

Take care everyone and love you guys, Sassy Sharon

Hello, all. :) Wow, I was gone for a few days, and look what happens! Our home changed! ;) I guess I didn't realize that the website was planning on upgrading. :dizzy: I like it -- it's cool!

We decided today that we are going to move before our lease is through, which would have been April, so we will be moving the weekend of August 9. It was decided, for the most part, that we needed to jump on the deal that we will be getting. Right now, we are in a two bedroom/1 bathroom apartment; at the new place, we will be in a three bedroom/2 bathroom apartment -- and we will only be paying about $10 more a month! For all that extra space when I am due in a few months ... we just couldn't pass it up!

It also helps that we will essentially be with the same apartment "parent" company, so we won't have to apply to live at the new place, and we won't have to pay any of the deposit fees and such -- everything will just transfer over. :D

Anyway, just a little excited and wanted to share. Oh, and I had my 24 week appt yesterday, and everything is going well -- I have only gained 1 pound since 4 weeks ago... that means only about 7 pounds altogether. pretty good, considering I was told not to gain more than 15 pounds during my pregnancy since I am overweight. :D I'm proud of myself.

I see we are going to be shut down at midnight for upgrading so I better get this post out now ... I'm so thrilled to say that Sharon and Ken made it up here tonite and it is so good to see them! They just went to bed and that is where I am heading as soon as this post is done. My son and DIL are up here too, came in last nite and at 10:30 pm we were heading to Traverse to the casino !!! Can you believe that? It's about an hour away .. we were there until 4:30 in the morning ... got home about 5:30 am and went to bed for 3 hours ... We do crazy things sometimes! Hubby won $120 ... we spent $100 so $20 ahead .. oh well .. can't win all the time. But, my four-digit number came in last nite and I won $208!

Desiree: Sounds good about the move to a bigger apartment .. am so glad all is going well for you .. and good job on only gaining 7 lbs so far!

Sylvia: We're still awaiting to hear if your baby is in the right position ... please let us know soon.

Oh ... I made it to my 10# lost mark today! One more lb and I will be in the 160's!!!

Well .. off to bed .. Sharon and I will keep you posted on our comings and goings ... we sat in front of a nice bon fire tonite ..

Talk to ya all later..
Love, CJ

Hi guys,
I am at CJ's cabin and am having so much fun. It is good seeing Carol and Dick again. My husband and Dick are like two peas in a pod, they are so much alike. They are always talking about cars or trucks or any other thing that is of no interest to Carol and myself. So we just do out own thing and talk about whatever. LOL

Last night we all went out to Litttle Caesars Pizza Inn for dinner. Carol is doing amazing on her Atkins program. You should see her pick apart that pizza and only eat the top part and leave the crust. Now that is willpower I till you. But she has done so well and is down 10 pounds and I am so proud of her. I tried not to eat too much and we brought half of ours home to heat up for a quick lunch one day.

Than afterwards we went to their Alpine festival and visited all the craft booths and I bought one of those kitchen towels that you can put on your refridgerator handle to wipe you hands on. It was a really pretty towel with cherries on it, which symbolizes the area here and Traverse City, where we will be going soon is famous for their Michigan cherries. I am looking for things that match my new red/white kitchen as the family room runs into our kitchen and there is some red in the kitchen as well.

Desiree-How wonderful for you and your family that you are able to move for an even bigger much needed place for only a tiny bit more. And the nice thing is that you won't even have to come up with the deposit, which is sometimes so hard to come up with when you have a growing family. My gosh, how the heck did you only gain 7 pounds so far? I think that is amazing as I had such hugh gains when I was pregnant. I wanted anything and everything I craved. Like greasy burgers, onion rings and glazed donuts. LOL But after the 1st one and I gained like 60 pounds, the next time I only gained 35 pounds, the next 30 and the fourth and last one I only gained 27 pounds, which meant I didn't gain too much afterwards. So good for you and you do realize that once you have this baby you will be really down. You and Sylvia are doing so well on your pregnancy's and I sure wish I could have done as well. But you know what they say, you can't turn back the clock. So my hats off to you.

Well guys I had better get going here and see what we have planned for today. It has been raining, but now it has stopped so hopefully we can do something this afternoon. There is so much to see in this beautiful country. I love the upper part of Michigan, i always was my favorite when we lived in the Detroit area.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone and talk to you later, Love you, Sharon :rain:

Howdy Ladies!

I hope you are all having a great weekend! Wow, it sure feels nice not being the only one posting;)

I went and had my ultrasound done and he is HEAD DOWN!!! :dancer: I was so happy and relieved. I actually felt my blood pressure go down! Thank you to those who prayed for us! So now that that worry is over...and boy have I had a bunch of stuff to worry about during this pregnancy, it's now time for the "waiting game". I have been feeling contractions here and there and just general pains of having a baby's body on my cervix and bladder (I know, too much information!) but other than that, I feel great. We are having a bit of a heat wave out here and my legs and ankles look like tree trunks and my fingers look like hot dogs so that could be better but other than that, we are just waiting. So I guess I will get to labor in the jacuzzi tub afterall!! I don't how much I can handle but I'm sure going to try to stick it out with no drugs as long as I can! My family has a pool going...my brother thinks I'll last 10 minutes before I start screaming for drugs....

CJ & Sharon- Oh boy, can you say "TROUBLE"? Both of you together....I hope you are both stocked up on those "buttershots" that you are both famous for! Can't wait to hear all about it! I would also like to thank you both for the words of encouragement and your prayers!

Desiree- How ya doing my fellow pregnant chickie? You are doing great, I'm due in 11 days and have only gained 6 pounds. They also told me to keep it under 15 pounds, they were a bit concerned but the baby is doing well. Funny, I think I'll actually be "thinner" after pregnancy than before! Congrats on the new place!

Synger- Welcome Back!!!

Well ladies, I'm off to go to the grocery store. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Take Care,

Sylvia

Hello Ladies!

Just popping in for a quick Hello. Went to the doctor today...so far I've only gained 10 pounds in my pregnancy. I have 9 days until my due date! I still can't believe that in a few weeks ( I have a feeling he is going to be late) I'll be holding my baby boy! We also have a name picked out Nicolas Antonio Martin-Susbilla. Quite a mouthful isn't it? He will be "Nico" for short.

I hope that you are all doing well and being healthy.
We haven't heard from CJ or Sharon lately....I hope they aren't sitting in jail!

Well, it's beddy bye time for me.

Good Night ladies!

Hi Sylvia,

I am new here but your post caught my attention because I noticed you are due to have your sweet little baby very soon. :) I am a momma to 3 myself, (the last one was born in January at home unassisted). I hope that you have a beautiful birth and enjoy your babymoon!!

I have decided that I have been keeping the weight off because I am more active (chasing a toddler around) and eating less than I was with Ethan. It really helps to not pig out and sit on the couch all day! I have to keep it under 15 pounds, so I figure I'll try to keep it off now and then when I get closer to the end it won't be a big deal to gain a few extra pounds if I do. Well, of course it will, but I think everyone knows what I mean. :dizzy:

Anyway, I better get going for now. Lots to do here before we move in a couple of weeks!!! :D

I'm doing really well so far. Keeping track of calories makes you VERY aware of portion size. /grin

And I've had good luck incorporating more activity in my daily life. I've been hallwalking at work in 10-20 minute segments. It all adds up.

Oh, I plan on watching the day fly by. LMAO!! I always let hubby move the heavy stuff when we move -- gives me a chance to do the more important stuff, like make sure nothing breakable gets broken. ;) I have a large family, so we will have tons of help. Some friends are coming to help as well.

I am very excited about this move (although not looking forward to the packing!), as it will mean more room and less stuff -- I don't know if I have mentioned it or not, but we are going to have a yard/garage sale at my parents' house after we move, so I will be getting rid of a lot of our clutter. Starting fresh at the new place! :D Anyway, it's all for the best -- better to move now, than to move with a toddler and a very small infant... NO THANKS FOR THAT!!!! ;)

Hi guys,
Sorry I meant to post earlier this week, but when we got back had lots of laundry to do and some other things.

Yes Ken and I had a great time at Dick and CJ's place. We went out almost everyday some place. Even when we said we would "veg" we managed to find someplace to do, even if it was Walmart. You know you can't keep us girls down in the woods don't you? :df:

We went to the casino 4 times in the week we were there and I was surpised to see my penny pinching husband spend some money. He actually was putting a couple of 20's in the slot machines. He did pretty good too and we managed to win enough to help pay for when we went to Mackinac Island, and the ferry to go over there and the carriage ride we went on with Carol and Dick. Carol was the big winner and just loves to play the poker slots. One night she didn't want to get off the machine, but Dick managed to get her off. But she was so sure that her 4 aces were going to come up and even as we were driving back home she said that someone surely had gotten her 4 aces by now. LOL But it turned out all well because the next time we went she had won $300 and while she was waiting to come back and pay her, she tried to put $10 in the machine next to her and the slot machine wouldn't take it. So by than the guy came back and paid her off and she decided since we had a half an hour wait to eat there she would put it in the one she had just won on. Well wouldn't you know that within a very short time she won another $200. So she was one happy lady there. She even treated us to a great steak dinner afterwards and that was so good-thanks so much again for that CJ. So all in all we had a really good time and it was alot of fun. Did get a little relaxing in around the campfire at night so that was great.

snoopysgirl/Jenni-It was nice of you to post and feel free to join our wonderful group if you would like. We have a really great time and all lend a hand and an ear to each and everyone of us. You must be really busy taking of 3 kids. I had 4 myself and I know how busy you can be. I see that you live in southwestern Indiana. I live in Columbus, Indiana, what town do you live in?

Sylvia-Gosh to think you only have a week left before you are a Mommy. My gosh how wonderful for you. It won't be long now will it? I just love the name your and hubby have chose for the new little one. No, we didn't end up having our Buttershots cause Carol was being really good on her program and that is not allowed on it and I didn't want to have it alone. So I just made due with when I was done gambling having a mixed drink now and than. But it was alright and thanks for remembering how much we love that Buttershots. I have some in the liquor cabinet so maybe one of these nights I just might have to have a nightcap. LOL :dizzy: Let us know when you have that beautiful bundle of joy OK?

Desiree-I'll bet you are really busy getting ready to move into your new place. I am so glad you will have some help from your family. I was worried that you would do too much otherwise. Just remember if you feel the need to put your feet up and rest if you can for a few minutes in between. :soap: So hope the move goes well for you and your family. Keep us posted on how things are going.

synger-You are doing really well on your program. Keeping track of you calories and working out will really help you get the results you desire. How great that you even manage to walk the hall at work when you can. :bravo: Keep up the good work and let us know how things are going for you.

CJ-Gosh we had a great time with you and Dick. We did so many things and went to so many places and had so much fun. I just want to thank you again for all your hospitality. I am also soooo proud of you for how great you were on your program all week. I know that other pound you wanted to lose is probably gone and than some by now. So you can now dig out the English toffee I gave you. Hope you could by now. Just keep up the great work. I will email you after I post this. I saw that Ken emailed you when we were back. I meant to get in touch with you but started in on the laundry and everything else I had to do, unpacking ect that it slipped my mind. But we did made it back safe and sound and all is well around here. :cp:

Well I had better get going now. I got up way too early this morning, like at 4 AM just couldn't sleep thinking about all I have to do this week. I am going back to Michigan to the Western part to meet my Sister In Law, Chrissy at a cottage in Paw Paw we rented for a week. It is on Lake Cora and is not too far from Lake Michigan. She has my brother Jerry right now and has had him since Tracy's wedding. He is having a great time, been there almost 6 weeks. She has taken him to so many places, even Chicago to visit her daughter, Ellen who moved there to go to college. Chrissy will bring both Jerry and my Dad as well than afterwards I will bring Jer as well as my Dad, Papa back home to Indiana (Hey isn't that a song or something?) But anyway Dad will stay with me another 10 days or so and than I will bring him back to Michigan and to his assisted living center that he is now at. So I am looking forward to another fun time in Michigan. I am excited about just sitting by the lake and dipping my toes in the water while sitting in my lawn chair. We will see if we just "veg" while we are there or not. I plan to, but you never know what my SIL has up her sleeve. She is a go getter that is for sure. LOL :yikes:

So hope everyone has a great week this week and talk to you later. I am leaving on Saturday so I will try to post before I leave. I have so darn much to do. The last time I was over at Chissy's we made up lists for each of us to bring and our Durango is going to be filled to the brim. The bad part is than when I come back I will have all my brother Jerry's stuff as well as Dad's so between all that, what I have to bring, the cooler and the air mattresses ect. Man I just don't know how that will work. How do you say crammed to the max? LOL Hey maybe I should just rent a bus, that would be better eh?

Take care guys and love you. Sassy Sharon

Good morning everyone! Hmmm ... thought I was going to have to "nag" miss Sharon to post but she did now so she's safe! lol

Sharon:
We had such a good time with you and Ken! Miss you guys so much. But, as you know, we now have our grandkids here with us so they are keeping us busy. We took them to the Island yesterday ... we did the carriage ride again and took them to the fort ... we are going to take them back to Mac City another day so they can shop the stores there and see the Fort in the City. I'm sorry about not having Buttershots with you .. you know how much I love them too .. but just couldn't bring myself to "cheat" .. I almost did last nite tho .. was going to break down and have ice cream with the kids .. but it was late and we hadn't had dinner yet .. were gonna go home and get something but gave them the choice of ice cream or pizza .. they chose pizza (ice cream another time) so I stayed OP .. just ate the toppings and left the beautiful crust! Weighed myself this morning and was down 1/2 lb .. 169 1/2!!! 1/2 lb to go to meet my July goal ... by tomorrow! Oh well .. if not, it was mighty close! I think I shall have an ice cream when we go with the kids ... only 1 scoop! Have a great time in Paw Paw! Dick is putting the new front door up today! Hurray! Oh, and did I tell you that my sister from California is here now too? You missed meeting them by 1/2 day! She'll be up here for a couple weeks. Gosh, we have more company up here then we do when we are downstate!

Slyvia:
Wow the time is getting very close now. Can't wait .. hope you are feeling well.

Synger:
Good job on yor progress. Keep up the good work!

Desiree:
Good luck on your move.

Well ... better get dressed ... kids sleeping in late this morning. Dick is starting work on the door, so I'll go see if he needs my helping hand.

Later..
Love, CJ

Howdy Ladies!

I hope you are all doing well. Just popping in for a quick hello. Well, today is my due date but no baby. I went to the doctor yesterday and she told me that my cervix is still high but soft and I have not dialated yet. I don't know what all of that means other than the "not dialated" yet part but I do know that it hurt. I just wanted to do a quick post and let you ladies know that I'm feeling well even this heat and humidity(very rare for San Francisco). I'm trying to get as much done as I can. I will post again and keep all of you up to date!

A big hug for all of you! Sorry for not addressing each of you individually, sitting is getting to be uncomfortable!

Love to all!

Sylvia

End of the week. Waiting for the workday to end so I can head home. Uploading some big files (I'm a webmaster at work) so I can surf a bit while I upload.

I'm doing really well. Someone at work NOTICED that I'd lost weight -- even though it's only been a short time that I've been changing my lifestyle and I haven't told anyone about it.

Made me feel REALLY good. /grin

I'm also more limber, more energetic, and I walk taller and faster. Life is good.

I think I've talked my husband into budgeting for a health club membership starting in September. I'm eager to take a real yoga class, instead of just doing tapes. I'm getting a stretch video, a Pilates for Dummies, and a bellydancing tape for my birthday. They should arrive in the mail next week some time. I'm looking forward to checking them out.

Just a quick one here ... I have my grandkids with me and they sure do keep us hopping! They are getting ready for bed now so I thought I would post real quick. I'm getting to be a wizard at the game Sorry ... my grandkids love that game ... of course, we play it a lot!

Slyvia: I can feel your discomfort as I remember with all my pregnancies how miserable those last few days were ... but just think ... in a few more days you will be holding your beautiful baby in your arms and you'll be thinking how so worth it all was! Hang in there sweetie ... you're almost there!

We had a real dilly of a storm all nite ... thunder and rain all nite long ... it was great! I think we are getting ready for more of it tonite too ... we were without power this morning for about an hour ...

Well .. off to bed for me (as soon as we get the kids in that is) so will check back in tomorrow .. hope everyone has a good nite ...

Love, CJ

GOOD MORNING!

We got a little rain last night. Right now it's cool and comfortable, but later today it will be so humid I'll be dying!

I finished a quilt yesterday! Such a good feeling of accomplishment. Today I plan to clean house since I haven't done anything around here for such a long time! I get so busy working on a project I forget all about housework!

Just wanted to check in this morning to let everyone know that I'm still alive and kicking. Nothing new around here to report, same old things everyday.

Waiting for baby news, Sylvia, hope you have that baby by now and all is well! Like CJ, I remember those last days of my pregnancies. The last month was the longest month of my life!

Hugs, Judy

Sassy

Hi guys,
Just wanted to post before I go off for my vacation with Chrissy.

I just wanted to wish you good luck Sylvia. I know everything is going to go alright for you. Believe me when I say this baby will be worth the wait and everything you have gone through so far to have him.

Soon you will be holding that beautiful baby in your arms. Let us know when you have him. Remember we all love you here so take care and talk to everyone when I get back. I am bringing my brother, Jerry back form his 6 week stay at Chrissys and my Dad, Papa as well to spend sometime with me and enjoy him for about 23 days or so. This will give me a really nice vacation and a break from his assisted living place he is living now. Well I am off to Michigan-again, talk to you guys later when I get back.

Love, Sharon :)

We're all thinking about you, Sylvia. Keep us posted on baby news. I remember the swolleness more than anything else. I thought I'd never wear rings or non-laced shoes again. Then, one day I sat up from bed and felt a gush of water. Needless to say, I was in the hospital soon afterward. /grin

I lost 4 pounds this week, though I didn't think I would. And with our houseguest sleeping downstairs in our den/computer room/workout room/playroom, I'm not doing the video tapes as much as I'd like. But today was my day off (and she had to work), so I lifted for an hour and followed it with a Richard Simmons tape. (He's annoying, but the moves are easy and the music keeps me going.)

Sounds like everyone here is busy, as usual. It's great to hear how we're doing.

Howdy Ladies!

Well, still no baby. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow and she is going to "strip my membranes". I was planning on going to get a manicure and pedicure afterwards, just in case I go into labor but am not sure how I will feel. I keep walking like the doctor told me and I do get some contractions but nothing more than that. I will let you lovely ladies know. Hopefully it will be soon.

Night to all!
