hi everyone. So Ive been using myfitnesspal to log my food for the past year and its been great for me. Its such a wonderful weight loss tool, but after a year of pretty strict dieting, and a recent surgery, my will power isnt what it once was as far as food goes. Im looking for a group of fellow fitnesspal users who would all hold each other accountable for their daily food intake. We all have rough days, so Im not talking about someone to nag you if you eat a cookie instead of an apple (unless thats what you need). I think just having people who are checking up on your food journaling will help hold us all more accountable for our food. And the odd words of encouragement and praise are certainly helpful too. :)

I love being able to share my diary. Gives me more accountability knowing that others will see what I am eating. And I love to check out other peoples because I get food ideas. I hate when people have their's private. To me it defeats the purpose of adding friends to support you since they can not see what your really eating.

Is there anyway to set up MFP with the Weight Watchers point system?

I have the hardest time remembering to put stuff into MFP. I work nights so i don't know exactly how to put in my meals... Any advice?

I very diligently use MFP (I dont log exercise though.. I'd rather not think I have extra calories I can eat up)

My diary is open to friends. If I'm too embarrassed to log it, I probably shouldn't be eating it!

I'm curious what everyone had set their daily calorie goal to. I found when I entered all my information into the myfitnesspal app, it told me I should be eating something like 2400 calories a day, and after trying it a few weeks I saw no results, so changed to 1600 calories and have been much more successful.

I eat between 1100-1400 but I set my goal at 1350. It gave me 1200 and some days that isn't enough, and I don't think going over 1200 is considered a "bad day" so I changed it.

Is my diary private? haha just fixed it! I too like seeing the diaries. I am having trouble eating enough.

I've never done the accountability thing, but I'm trying to lose 30 by August (ish), so it's probably a good time to start.

I've been doing 1500 calories, which is totally sustainable, but if I'm not dropping the lbs, I'm going to have to move down to 1300 or 1400. Bummer :-P

My last couple of days have been horrible calorie-wise, but I just got over a cold….and well, partied like a rock star this weekend! Back to the grind tomorrow. I want to be good in February. It's a short month anyway ;-)

If you click on community and then find members, you can then put the users name in and it will pull up their profile. From there you click request friend.

Hi all - Please free to add me (axelgoldstein) and I plan to add others as well (if I can figure it out). I can not say that right now I am being consistent but I have been in the past and this might be just what I need - thanks in advance! :)

But....I will start tomorrow. My 4 year old has been up since 4am and it's time to hit the hay. Never knew I'd be so lame at 30..... haha

Thanks edoetsch1!!! I'm going to add everyone on here in the course of the next week. I log my meals, not my exercise. But I do 30 minutes a day, or at least 2.5 hours each week of exercise.

I just started using it a few days ago. I lost my weight tracking on MyPlate, gained when I stopped counting, more or less just broke even on WW and am very pleased so far. I don't know if I will make my profile public...

You should be able to add in past dates. I did when I first started until I got used to loggin gin everyday. I'm ABrent2012 if anyone wants to add me. Look for my friend request too!

I'm the same name as here. Been recording everything religiously from January til 3 weeks ago, but stopped when I went overseas for business and didn't have access. I'm still losing weight without it at mo, but will go back to it if I need a kick along any time as counting calories really works and it's the first time I've ever done it.

You can add me, my name is the same there that it is on here, starryblue702! I've been faithfully logging everything every day since I've started counting calories! I input my exercice at the end of the day before bed, so that I don't eat any extra calories either lol! I allow myself 1500 calories per day, and treadmill about 400 calories away daily.

I am also on MFP... csefein is my screen name.. I am pretty good about logging everything. I don't eat back exercise cals but I do log them. I calorie cycle so I look at the overall week and keep my average at 1200. Some days I am low, some days I am high. Today was HIGH. But its the last day of my week, so I came up at 1200 average for the week. I do not weigh! I am only interested in clothing size. I went from 12, to 6. I am a comfy 6. I want to be a comfy 4!

I'm finding the app a pain in the a$$ and only do my log ins on MFP on my home computer where I can access everything and see it all easily. I can never find what I want on the app. Then again I'm a foodie who has a huge full list of foods that I log - some of which drop off the list every day, dammit! I'm not counting calories, but am logging ratios of fat:carb at meals - keeping higher fat meals separate from higher carb meals. Workin' better than fine for my maintenance. Anyone interested in friending for support - I am the same name on MFP - canadjineh.
Fire off a note that you are from 3FC so I know what the friending is about - I don't generally friend randomly.
