Wow! Thanks for sharing! Awesome to have the studies to back up something that I've had significant success in :)

I think it was also significant that when people were on low carb they were not told to restrict calories. This makes them sustainable. I firmly believe low fat diets are the primary reason people Yo Yo.

And even though the low carb diets were not calorie restricted, people's blood work got better compared to the low fat, calorie restricted ones.

I love when studies agree with me!
Although I'm still waiting for the study that says pizza and chocolate and wine is the perfect meal plan...

Awesome. Thanks for posting that. I also believe low fat is the reason for yo yo and also that low carb is the "right" way, but I have to remember how annoying that is to people who just want to keep believing that "fat makes you fat". I understand that it's been so ingrained in our psyches now, but it simply does not make sense to me when fat IS required by our bodies but sugar is not (and low fat makes it necessary to be loaded with sugar).

From one of them: "Total and LDL cholesterol decreased in the LF group only." Particularly of interest to me as my total and LDL numbers are high. This is something that low fat proponents would likely pounce on as "a ha" instead of applying some critical thinking as to why that is when the "good" numbers are the ones that improve only in low carb.
