Have any of you been to the Itsu restaurants (the menu and nutrition info is online, but I cannot post links as my thread count is not high enough)? The menu online looks good, but then I've fallen for advertising about supposedly healthy food before, and turned out to be wrong.

Do any of you who're well informed about nutrition know if this would be considered healthy and low-fat? Do you think it would be a good idea for me to frequently order take-away from here (as opposed to Pizza/ Chinese/ Indian/ Thai takeouts), as I do not enjoy cooking?

Thanks so much for your help! :)

I looked at the menu. It looks like they use good quality ingredients, but the calorie, carb, and fat content seems quite variable, which I'd expect. Not everyone will have the same nutrition goals. Lean athletes will have different preferences than sedentary obese folk.

Nutrition info is available on the website though, so as long as you fit your choices into your personal calorie, carb, fat, sodium (or whatever) budget, you should be good.

The biggest risk in eating at "healthier" restaurants is falling prey to the myth that you can eat as much as you want, because it's all "healthy." As long as you keep your own nutrition goals in mind, you can skirt that danger.

Exactly--one of the biggest misconceptions in weight loss. I ONLY WISH it was true (eat all you want of healthy foods and you'll be at your set weight). I would die happy if that were true :p
