Hi Folks,

Today was a special day for me. I reached the half way point in losing my excess weight. :carrot::carrot::carrot: It feels a little daunting that I still have the other half to go but freaking unbelievable that I have come this far.

Thanks for your support along the way,

Dee, that's wonderful. I remember when I hit my halfway mark, I just couldn't believe I'd done it. The goal just seemed so unreachable, but staying at it certainly pays off, it's always possible! Good luck on the second half! :)

More good news! As we know, it is not just about pounds lost.

I spent two days at the Mayo Clinic this week. I have been taken off 3 of my 4 heart meds, and the one that makes my heart sing!!! - They said I am no longer diabetic. My A1c was 5.0 and fasting glucose 73. Yikes!!! I am so happy!!!

Thanks to all for your encouragement and examples.

Good for you!! You must feel so proud! I have a friend who was on meds for high blood pressure, I was trying to encourage her to get healthy so that she wouldn't need the meds...sadly, I don't think she's ready to take on the journey yet though. I'm so glad you made that choice for yourself :)
