Happy New Year to ALL

I'm up 1.2 this morning weighing in at 179 due to a Waffle House breakfast the first hours of 2014 after church. I have today to eat what I want and tomorrow, I cut out breads, white potatoes, rice, sweets, chips, and junk food for the next thirty days.

Have a great day everyone

PUPMOM5 I ate 3330 in sodium yesterday and that is only if the breakfast count on MFP was right … I'm sure it was higher. But today is a new day and we can move on. My middle son turned 15 yesterday and since it was so late when we got in we didn't cut his cake until today. So tomorrow's weigh in may not be great for me either but I promise Thursdays meals will be superb :)

Ahh looks like we all made it to the new year! I'm definitely not where I wanted to be to end 2013 (financially or fitness wise) however, unlike the previous few years instead of moping and regretting the failures, I'm looking forward to all the potential 2014 will bring! I have a chance at a large promotion at work in the spring, and have all the pounds in the world to lose so I can reach all kinds of milestones! Super excited and ready to watch myself transform physically, mentally, and professionally while sticking around here and engaging in everyone's journeys together! :) Happy New Year!!

akelly I'm glad you are here :)

We can do this and we will make 2014 OUR year :cheer:

I know for me it's all about focus, which I seem to lose quite frequently, smh. But I'm starting off with a plan with the help of church so I'm hoping at the end of the 32 days I will be able to add in and maintain the good habits :)

After yesterday's good eats I weighed in at 180.4 up 1.4 from yesterday. I expected it since I weighed 183.4 after my shower last night. I'm usually 3lbs down in the a.m. unless my calories are too low. Hoping for a nice weigh in tomorrow. I didn't eat one bad thing today. I actually surprised myself and ate a whole celery stalk. I typically won't finish it because the strings get to me. I know that's silly but it is what it is. I'm still growing up … what can I say :)

Hey  Putting my toe back in the water. Have had a rough time lately. My Dad has been diagnosed with end stage lung cancer, and it has come as a real shock to us all. We are not a close family, so trying to deal with the complexities of our relationship and his illness has been tough. I weigh far more than my goal. Infact I am up to 194lbs. However, I have been experimenting with foods, exercise etc. And despite the 40lb gain, I still fit into most of my clothes. My new goal is 165lbs, so 29lbs from here. I am not proud, but actually think after 3 years of losing 145lbs, gaining some back was inevitable to a certain extent, and despite the gain, I exercise at least 3 times a week come what may, making me much fitter than I was at 153lbs.
One day at a time .
My goal then is 165lbs, my plan is low carb, and my hope is to just keep at it through the tough times ahead.

HOW can I be averaging a pound a DAY?? I'm eating... I've cut my portions in half, but I'm eating. (portion control was my biggest problem). I have an active job, and I am drinking a LOT more water. The toilet and I are on a first named basis now. However I can't see that landing a lbs a day loss for 3 days....

Shyleia, that happens to me the week of my period sometimes. It's weird, but I can drop a lb a day for four days. I read that sometimes that happens, your losses on the scale don't show until they, for whatever reason, start showing quick.

Apparently, I am super sodium sensitive now. :( It seems like for ever 800-1k I eat over, I retain 1lbs and it can take days to lose it. So annoying because today is weigh-in.

I don't know about everyone else, but my section of the Midwest is gearing up for some more serious snowfall tonight. I'm going to go really hard in the gym (all the snow is keeping all the flaky New Years Resolutioners at home, which is nice for me because the treadmills are way popular) since I might be stuck at home for a few days.

Shyleia, :woohoo: for the WHOOSH FAIRY :high: You named it all above and it works the thing is we know it works we just don't always do it. Keep up the good work. Enjoy it while it last because we also know that when all of the water is gone the weight loss slows down so enjoy it :)

LOL PUPMOM5, they were talking about that last night at the gym how the enrollment is up at the beginning of the year and next Monday it will be packed with all of the New Years Resolutioners starting up :) I try to watch my sodium for sure because of that very reason, such a bummer.

Shyleia I am with you the WHOOSH fairy has definitely been with me. The water weight is whooshing away like crazy. I am down another 2lbs to 175.4 and TOM is here. I think I have gotten rid of most of my bloat so I don't think I'll be losing any more at that rate. That's 5lbs in two days.

I'm so jealous your scales are moving! I've been eating really well and still nothing. I spent an hour on the elliptical yesterday and another 30 minutes on a stationary bike today and nothing. Here's hoping for a whoosh soon. At least I'm not gaining.

I'm eating around 1600 cal a day plus half of my exercise calories back.

Appmom, I don't eat my exercise calories back. After I walk I will only drink water or maybe a shake, and the shake is definitely a maybe unless it is high protein/low carb from the gym. I use to eat a cup of grapes and drink water after the gym. I may start doing that again. I have to test it to see how if affects my blood glucose.

Appmom, that's all we can do is KEEP TRYING  Good job on the .6 down :)

Shyleia, sorry about the stomach flu, hope you are getting/feeling better  You know that may be water weight also so your numbers could very well keep moving down from here. :crossed: that the scale keeps moving down for you :)

I was down another pound today to 174.4. I was kind of surprised because I felt really bloated yesterday evening but it could also be TOM messing me up. Shyleia my calories are really low today because I just didn't have time to eat and now I'm not hungry so I'm not gonna make myself eat. With that being said I'm sure after eating tomorrow I'll be up on Tuesday. Can't win sometimes

Wow, Rennie - you are killing it in 2014 already!! Way to go!

Shyleia - hope you feel better soon! The flu is horrible and I hope it leaves you quickly!!

Appmom - good luck on the switch! You are doing great!

PUPMOM - be safe in the snow! We are getting slush/ice/etc in GA tonight. I'm supposed to fly up to Boston tomorrow but we shall see! My co-workers in Boston will crack up at how easy schools are cancelled and places shut down so quickly down here over "flurries" but none of the cities or towns have any equipment so there's no way to clear any roads, or do anything but wait until the sun melts it :) Will be interesting in the morning for sure!

Starbrite - I'm really sorry to hear about your dad. I lost mine back in 2002 when I was 15 to cancer as well. I hate cancer and I pray that someday soon they find some form of a cure or prevention; it takes too many lives so quickly and leaves a lot of grief for the loved ones to bear. Praying for you and I know you will find the strength to progress each day :)

So, as for me... I had family in town this week and they left today. So my eating was "better" but today was the first that I got on a serious track and ate what I'm supposed to eat (salads, greek yogurt, etc) AND I had my first workout of 2014 :) I jogged/walked 30 mins which turned out to be 1.7 miles. Not my best by any means, but have to start somewhere again! I'm actually lugging my home scale with me this week as I travel. Going to hold myself accountable all week and see where this takes me! Usually I will just wait until I get home on Thursday nights, but I find that I talk myself into cheating on Monday and Tuesday because "I'll still have time to work it off before I go home". So, no more excuses!

Hope everyone has a great, warm, safe, somewhat pleasant Monday!!!

Thanks akelly, I like your way of thinking and taking your scale. You travel so much, I often wondered why you never took it before but you have finally gave it clarity ;). I probably would think the exact same way if I wasn't so scale coo coo :D

It's been cold here, today it got up to 55 degrees I was sooooo happy :)

01-05-2014, 09:26 PM
Yeah, a part of me used it as an excuse. The other part just didn't want to deal with lugging it around and getting weird questions from the TSA agents and such. But, I'm part of the TSA pre check so basically its no questions asked, just walk through, leave shoes on and laptop in the bag. It's nice, so going to see if the scale adds any complexities this week :)

Yes, it was 55 here too! Got outside and did my thing! Tomorrow and Tuesday looks the whole country will be a glacier!! Ha!

I'm going to take a few days off from weighing in. I've ate a lot of sodium recently and yesterday, I just ate a LOT. Being snowed in has that effect. :( I did a lot of shoveling, though, so I don't think there will be any lasting damage but I don't want to torture myself since it may not be in the cards to get out today.

Times like these, I miss the South for sure!

Well just keeping on keeping on. Have done some killer workouts and boy can I feel them. Haven't weighed in. Trying to keep to weekly weigh ins as I have a tendency towards obsession, which I don't think is healthy for me.
Thanks Akelly- cancer is a disease that has taken so many of my loved ones. I find it very hard to reconcile a disease that causes such devastation to the individual and their families. I will cope, like I always do, but it is nice to hear kind words. Thank you.

I am going to jump in and join you today. I am starting out - hope I can make it though the first day. Have had trouble getting back after a 40 lb weight gain last six months (hubby was ill)
Knee just got messed up, so I will just bike for the next while until I see what is going on. Great weather here for walking as soon as my knee recovers.

Down 1.8 pounds today for me, was happy to see that!

Happy Monday everyone! Turned into a nightmare of a travel day! After a few diversions, finally made it to Boston. I did stick to salad for dinner, and had brown rice and grilled chicken with soy sauce for lunch, but I had a cheese danish in the airport for breakfast and a cinnamon roll tonight while watching the game. So, not amazing, but for the crazy chaotic unorganized day, I will take it! AND I have my scale to track my progress all week :) If this works out well, I may be bringing it every week Rennie ;)

Rennie, keep killing it girl!

PUPMOM, I hear ya. I was in Addison/Hanover Park IL last March and could barely find any motivation to walk to the car after work every day. Don't know how anyone works out during the winter in the North/Midwest!

Redjb, welcome aboard! Journey's start with a first step :)

PUPMOM5, you sound a little down. the good thing about sodium is that we can flush it out, so while you're snowed in get that water in  You've got this don't let the small set back get you down and derail you

Sam you're a trooper and always have been. Like akelly, I lost my Dad in 2002 a day after his 66th birthday to throat cancer so I can sympathize with you both. It's extremely hard, I still say my Dad was too young to leave us so soon, but I have fond memories to hold on to.

Appmom, you're doing well, keep up the good work. :)

well I thought that I was buring more calories than I was (I guess) I had been using my Nike+ stats but my son said I need to calibrate my stride or something like that so instead of me recording the 619 that it said I burned in my 4.18 mile walk I recorded the treadmills 470. IDK either way I got it in and that's what matters to me :)

Well first week of January down and done. Did ok. Weigh in will be saturday. Not expecting any major miracles but I have been on plan, working out hard, getting sleep in and generally trying to be nice to myself. Hopefully that will help the numbers go down.

Hello friends. Still frustrated! I lost .4 and I ate on plan and jogged for 30 mins. Going to workout again here in a few. Mother Nature visits next week. Not looking forward to that, blah!

Rennie, so inspired to see you in the low 170's. I will be sooooo excited to see 2-teens. Haven't seen them in almost 2 years! But, 2 decades to go until then so I just cant get ahead of myself. I tend to do that.

Starbrite, can't believe we made it on the news over there! Boston warmed up to 15 degrees today. Can't wait to be back in GA tomorrow for a warm weekend!

Thanks akelly, good job on the .4, remember slow and steady, wins. I have cut out all sweets, coffee, junk food, no rice, white potatoes, and bread. That is the only reason why my week went the way it has, trust me :)

I'm hitting a stand still it seems now that all of the junk is out of my body. I'm down .4 to 173. I want to see 170-169 like in the near future :D

Well, the weight gods have finally rewarded me...kinda! I'm back to my Monday weight of 242.0 so saw a 1.4 drop from yesterday. Now, just have to keep focused and remain on track this weekend. I am DYING to see the 230's so need to give it my all! :)

Wow, that's definitely good Rennie...I have to have my coffee every morning. I don't drink Starbucks or Dunkin like I used to..those were 400+ cals...yikes! I add suagr free creamer and some equal or splenda, which makes the coffee about 50-60 cals, so way better! I should get myself off of it, but then my career may suffer! LOL Have to be active leading meetings by 9am, so if I go off caffeine, I may lose clients and projects! :)

Happy Thursday everyone!! Travel day for me! Back to the warm weather for a few days!

akelly :yay: good for you :high: Nice drop, you can do it. The weekends are the hardest for me also but I made it through last weekend, I can do it this weekend. I have been drinking caffeinated green and black tea which seems to be doing better for me. I here you on the store bought coffee calories not to mention the price. I started buying the sugar free caramel machioto creamer, so good. Then I had to stop using it because it began to taste really sweet, so then I just stopped with the coffee altogether. I still like the caramel machioto from Circle K, I add extra black coffee to make it stronger :D

I went to the gym did 3.5 miles these new 4Front treadmills. I really like them, they are much easier on your legs and feet burn was 400, in 51 minutes.

Good morning everyone! Happy Saturday!

Way to go Starbrite!!! That's amazing, 9 pounds in 11 days! Congrats and nice job.

Rennie, keep at it - sodium can be a tricky thing! I'm starting my descent into the time of month soooo I'm holding on to some extra water, cravings thru the roof, etc. Hate this part of the month!

Alli, welcome! Excited to have someone new here and watch you as you progress! I know I will be over the moon when I hit 209 - soooo close to such an important and exciting milestone!

As for me... I am so close to my 239 mark... I hit 240.2 yesterday but went out for girls night and had some pizza. Now the good news is I refrained from the alcohol AND I chose thin crust instead of the full blown carb crust. So, while the pizza was not on plan....for me to be able to participate and make healthier choices....big strides in my world :)

The damage: 1 pound up...241.2. My city just got a planet fitness, so I am going today to sign up for the $20/mo $0 down deal. Gives you access to planet fitness nation wide and can bring a guest for free at all times. Pretty good deal for a large gym with a ton of equipment. I have tried gym memberships before but they were like $40-$50 a month and it was just local. I am kinda excited, kinda nervous!

Thanks akelly, well good for you, the pound up isn't bad and you have so many positives to go with it. I'm happy for you. I thought planet fitness was running a special for $10 down and $10 a month (saw it on the biggest loser the other night). We don't have one near us. Sodium is a monster and quite tricky especially if you don't get all your water in ;)

Had a bounce up but fully expecting to go back in the morning. In sad news, heard that my high school BFF's mom passed away. Found out 2 months ago she had brain cancer and right before Christmas they put her into hospice. I have been struggling and sad...then hearing she passed away, so tough. She was a big part of my teen years and was always so sweet and great to me. Have definitely been reflecting and down. Couple other struggles in life, but really trying to stay positive and not turn to food. Numbers may not be perfect, but the mental battles and the fact I have worked out in the hotel gym this week is a big NSV for me!

Hope you guys are having a good week :)

Hey  down 3lbs from last week. I guess the gym really is paying off, because I ate a lot last week. Good stuff, but a lot. Been a rough week emotionally. I have confusion about my dad and his illness, confusion about my new enforced relationship with him and my mother. Both kids are doing finals and I feel torn from every angle. My BFF is having her annual January slump, and DH is uncommunicative with me. Not mean, just not talking . Feel so stressed I can hardly think. Sorry didn't mean to rant, but am just so darned stressed....

Sam :congrat: on the 3lbs down. :high: I'm so sorry to hear about all of the stress , it's good you are staying focused with food though. :) Maybe just let things flow as they may and accept anything that you can't change and focus only on what you can, just a thought and sorry if I am out of line … but that does help me. I have had many restless days (chaos in my mind) which lead to many restless nights over things I can't change and it drained me. I wasn't good for anyone and if nobody else the kids need me to be whole. So I focused on what I could fix/make right if I just made some changes and it put me in a better place most of the time :) I pray that you get some relief soon.

Well I'm tired of seeing 172. It's so aggrevatiing when you know you are eating right, exercising and getting your water in and most of the time getting all of your rest and the scale won't budge, what gives  I haven't been to the bathroom in a few days so that could be it but in my opinion that would only be a temporary fix, since I am not regular anyway. Well...not a great week and I never expected it to be since I got thew news of the passing of my friend's mom on Sunday. Gained 1.2 overall, however considering the emotional wreckage and just the stress level involved, I'll take it. I'm already down 2 pounds this morning, so I know I am ok. Seems like January is not being kind to a lot of us...but we are strong willed, and we have each other to vent and support, so I am fully confident and have faith all of us will still stay on track and knock things out!

Shyleia, glad you are over the sickness. Sometimes getting over the sickness is harder than being sick itself.

starbrite, with the loss of a loved one fresh on my mind and in my heart, I am sending prayers, good vibes, etc your way in hopes that you are able to mentally relax and see some positive progress in all the relationships. Relationships struggles/stress on top of trying to handle the news of cancer would be more than most could handle, but you are losing weight, killing the gym, and really inspiring all of us on here. I pray and wish for nothing but the best for you to come...like NOW. I know you need the mental break

Rennie, I know you are tired of battling the 172. I am cheering for you to see 171 sooo bad. Haha, I know you can do it! A potty movement may be just what you need! When I'm stopped up, I retain so much weight due to the water, the gas, the bulk, etc. Once it moves, I see a crazy whoosh! So....try some Muralax or whatever!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I actually got to see 171.6 this morning. I actually saw 171.4 once but it didn't stick. I hope I can just maintain it. I'm gonna have to look into Muralax, does it work the same day or you take it at night?

Akelly, Love :grouphug: thank you, thank you. I am struggling with everything right now. Having lost loads of weight, and had a good old regain, I feel fatter than ever. Bigger than at 300lbs and dealing with everything right now, is taking its toll mentally. I am not close to either of my parents. Then suddenly in November I was presented with the death sentence, and each and every day has been hard ever since. Welcome ridita001! this thread and these ladies are a great way to check in with friends, keep yourself accountable and help a few others along their own journey. Just having buddies on here helps tremendously, no matter what your goals may be!

Starbrite, death/illness is such a crazy obstacle and game changer in the game of life. It turns our minds, relationships, mental state, and eventually even physical state upside down and into chaos. Don't be too hard on yourself, and right now as you absorb everything in just take time out to look at the small feats and acknowledge the baby steps. I was on a tough project and lost my grandma who was like a second mom to me back in 2011. i was at my lowest weight that year, running 4 miles, and eating great. After that loss and once the project started breaking me down, I gained 35 pounds back in a matter of months, and over the last 2 years I gained even more. So now here I am, bigger, and my mental state in 2013 was awful. It was my biggest hurdle and my biggest enemy. I was depressed a lot, made a lot of bad choices in my personal life....but luckily my boyfriend and my family rallied around me and here I am in a different mindset in 2014. With yours and Rennies support online, I am losing weight in the midst of crazy adversity, challenges, sad losses, and still doing well. My mental state overall is happy and focused, but at times I find myself down. Anyways, sorry for the length...your story just resonates with me since we seem to be going through some crappy times right now. You are not alone, and you have us here anytime you need us :)

Rennie, 171 way to go girl!!!!! That's great. And who would imagine adding food would help you on your stall! So reverse of what we are now trained to think, right? Eat less, work out harder, etc. Glad you are adding smart calories in :)

As for me, doing well. I have run 8 miles over the last 4 days. Went to the gym everyday this weekend while I was at home! I did have some family bday dinners but I ate modestly...had some bread and desserts but I worked out and saw a loss over the weekend compared to Thursday! Back up in Boston this week...calling for snow and cold temps again. So glad this hotel has a trusty treadmill! I am really excited for the coming weeks/months. My boyfriend (who has lost 56 pounds over the past 2 years) has setup an incentive plan with me for every 5 pounds. He got me this awesome Under Armour shirt to workout in since I did so well this weekend. It's awesome and my new fav shirt after trying it out tonight. It's my first time having a workout specific tshirt and not just some cotton 3 year old stained shirt :)

Hope Monday was gentle....hope Tuesday goes smoothly for you guys!!

Thanks :) I ate a pork chop and veggies, but had 2 rolls, and then around midnight I was craving cereal so had a bowl... was very afraid to get on the scale this morning, LOL. Lost .6!!! Crazy but so thankful!!! :) Happy Friday!

akelly, good job on the .6 :high: LOL, sometimes I think we should do what we want because it usually does show that we got scared/nervous for nothing ;) but then the scale would make us angry after making us smile :) so we can't win sometimes :dizzy:

I want something to eat but don't know what and don't want to eat the wrong thing. We are getting down to the knitty gritty here with food so next week may be a struggle. I was wanting to start 30DS but I'm not sure how to track the burn on MFP and I really would like to know what the burn is for it.

Happy Saturday

I did a total of 23 jumping jacks and the warm up exercises with Jillian then I was done. I remembered why I never committed to doing 30DS because I can't do jumping jacks and push ups back to back with those squats and weights my knees hurt. I do however want to get in the habit of doing jumping jacks for some reason. :) My daughter and I did Just Dance 2 and I entered it into MFP as 30 minutes of dancing and earned 173 calories so I'll take it. I broke a sweat for sure and the heart rate was up since I am definitely not a dancer ;)

This mornings weigh in 169.6 down .4. I'm feeling good about my mini workout last night, and I had fun. When I'd get winded my daughter would say, Don't stop, keep going! She's so cute :)

Have a great day Everyone

Hi, down another 2lbs. Good steady losing. Am however on TOM and aching from so my exercise, so I expect number to be lower next week. Still feeling stressed, but am learning taking a step back helps. I try so hard to be the perfect daughter, and have failed miserably, so might as well just be me!
Rennie- awesome job on getting into the 160's WTG !!!
Akelly-Weirdly sometimes when we eat a little more than our body is used to it gives our metabolism a boost, and we are rewarded with a bigger loss than expected. Yay for the whooshes!
Well am back in the 170's am at 178 :) watch out Rennie am rechasing the 160's LOL !

Happy Sunday

Sam :yay: on the 2lbs gone :high: good to see you  keep your head up Lady :) This is me in a nutshell ---> I try so hard to be the perfect daughter, and have failed miserably (not to me but my Mother has never seen any good in me), so might as well just be me! I gave up a few years ago when I read a note to my husband from my Mother that said she had no faith in me nor him. He had privately asked her for a loan after he lost his job to help pay the rent and she gave him the loan with the note attached. … ok this isn'tit's about you and your victories :) Huh, I'm sure I'll be running behind you like last time trying to catch up. Your workouts are amazing, I couldn't touch them with a ten foot pole :)

Well did Just Dance 2 again with my daughter, even tried two new songs that did a lot more moving than I could do. So I'll have to keep trying. I had more x's then ok's or good's and no perfect's … LOL. It's fun and some of those moves make you feel like your heart is gonna jump out of your chest. Weigh in this morning down .4 to 169.2 … happy :)

Rennie - your Mum sounds like mine. She only appreciated me AFTER I lost weight. To her I was a failure, despite evidence to the contrary, at 300lbs. Wow- complex !! I feel very sad for her that her whole life has been based on what people, including her own daughter, look like. She is now jealous, because I'm smaller than her !*&^%$$!! Really??
She rang today to tell me how miserable my father is after his last chemo !! Arghhh
One foot in front of the other x

Down .2 to 169 even. I saw 168.8 when I first stepped on the scale but me and my OCD kept stepping on and 169 showed up 3 times so it won :)

Have a great day Everyone :)

So proud of you both Rennie and Sam!!! Amazing work - especially through some tough weeks!! My mom hasn't been as bad as you guys have mentioned, but some aunts and uncles have been very critical all of my life. I have always been overweight so I've never been fully appreciated or recognized for my work/school achievements. Oh well...I'm pleasing myself and my bf and that's what matters to me now :) You guys rock and have such awesome outlooks on life! Keep rockin!

One day I will catch up to you guys...for now I'm re-battling the 200's LOL. I shall defeat it AGAIN.

I lost 5 pounds this past week...very pleased! Looking forward to seeing the next decade of 220's. Challenge accepted.

Happy Monday!

akelly, You're doing great :high: We can only do so much to please others and no matter how hard we try some people will never appreciate our true value/worth. But we know and the people that truly love us accept us just as we are :) and we've got each other which I am just fine with ... our friend Kukkie once said, she finds it easier to talk on here because we don't know each other, other than our virtual worlds. And I think that may be true because I sure feel better when I'm having a bad day after talking with you all

I was down .2 today to 169 even. Don't know how much longer this down trend will last. I really need to get back to the gym, but finances and gas aren't allowing that at the moment. I was gonna do just dance 2 but it's getting late and I want to catch up here ;) silly I know and my baby's watching her shows so not this evening :)

Rennie- You are getting there. Keep at it. The downward trend will continue whilst you keep on making excellent choices.
As for me, just keeping on keeping on. Had a bad day today, so just need to put it behind me and move on.

How is Kukkie doing??? So great to hear her name! Or I guess, read her name.. LOL. I wish she would return to the boards!

Ugh, I feel your pain Rennie... I'm stuck in 233's. Bouncing from 233.8 to 233.4, now at 233.2. This stupid scale is making me earn every .2 - I need a whoosh to help my mentality!!

In other news...I fly into Atlanta (home) tomorrow. Don't know if you guys have heard, but man it's a crazy place. So sad but a lot of positive stories are coming through with people just reaching out and helping strangers with food, place to sleep, etc. Stay warm everyone!!

The last time I chatted with her via PM she was doing good, trying to get back to it, but being a new Mom is a definite adjustment. I remember oh too well :) I wish she'd come back also. I miss her and the rest of the crew also. I do talk to some of them on FB from time to time it's nice to see them also (a face to a name) Sam is on there we have our own private group :)

I am wondering if I up my calories every two days will that help move the scale. I need to try calorie cycling again and see what it will do. No I haven't heard anything what happening in your neck of the woods? I avoid the news s much as possible.

Don't forget to join the February thread :)

Wow, a second time?? How did you get so lucky ??? haha! Hope it goes quickly for you, but congrats on seeing 168! That's amazing!!!!

I had a bounce up to 234.4 (was 233.2 yesterday). Sooooo frustrating b/c I haven't been able to use the restroom all freaking week. So OF COURSE as soon as I get to work today, all bummed out....the flood gates opened LOL. TMI I know, but dang why couldn't that happen BEFORE weigh in. Blah.

Travel day!!! Home for 3 weeks straight - I can barely contain myself!!!

Thanks akelly, I think it's this age  because my cycle has been a hit or miss since August. LOL, I'll tell you the misses are scary at my age but it's a blessing since my flow is so heavy. Not TMI at all, I am not regular so when I do go it's usually away from home drives me nuts. But hey when you get on the scale in the morning after a good BM it'll be down. Just remember water water water :) I am happy for you ...3 weeks is GREATTTTT :yay: AKELLY

today is an Atkins induction day. I want to be 167 on February 1st :crossed:

Happy last day of January friends!!!! The scale teased me....my goal was 10 pounds down - 232.2 So, it let me lose 2 whole pounds...but still .2 shy from my goal. Oh that thing almost went out the window into the melting snow!!! But, I will take it because 9.8 pounds down this month is a great start, especially with the struggles I had at the beginning of the month!

Happy Friday, happy start of the weekend, happy end of January, and see you all in the February threads!!
