I am excited to start the new year. I am going to stick to the plan and eat the way the plan was designed and see what can happen in a month. I know what a wonderful feeling it is to see the numbers on the scale change and I believe it's better than eating food.
I am also getting addicted to exercise and love the feeling I have after finishing my visit to the gym for the day.
I have been learning to not let things that use to make me react to people no longer have that control over me. This is something that has been many years in coming. I'm going to be the one to help my daughter also achieve her weight loss goal and what a pair we will be this summer.
Thanks for starting this page I look forward to this month and new year.

I am also going to try my best to stick to the plan. I somehow managed to maintain my ten pound loss through the holidays and hope to start losing again. I am hoping the accountability of checking in on this ww site weekly will help.

I'm very glad to be starting back tomorrow. I just feel terrible with the way I ate the month of December. 2014 will be a great, healthy year.

Hi All and Happy New Year. Thanks for starting this thread. I started Jan. 1. I know WW works and I know it is very healthy. I have used older plans with success and I am liking the Power Foods approach. I am going to try to eat only Power Foods and I think that is the best of all plans. I am also tracking my points, because I know I have to be honest and not play food games. I am doing the "at home" with the etools and using the iPhone app. I love it. I don't love the boards and challenges on the WW site, they are all over the place. 3FC is a much more personal environment.

My goal is to lose 50 lbs in 50 weeks. That would be next Christmastime. I know I can do it.

Serenity100, I really like your goal for 2014! I will incorporate something like that in my 2014 goals.:carrot:

All the best to everyone in this new year!

Hello all. I'm restarting back on WW after eating and drinking my way up to 170ish after having been 157lbs for a hot minute.

I'm so excited about starting back tomorrow and getting rid of the regain plus more! I will be restarting the 30 Day Shred slowly and doing the elliptical couple times a week in addition to my PT knee exercises (I hurt my knee doing Insanity, it was def a big part of my regain since I couldn't exercise and yada yada.)

Wishing everyone the best for this year and this month! :)

The first day of Spring is March 20th. My goal is to be 100% within points everyday until then, no excuses. (Since I have no big events or holidays that would interfere, it is very doable)

Tomorrow I am going out for lunch. I decided that I would definitely have one glass of wine 5 points, and then either a salad or a veggie burger with no bun. I honestly don't care about the food now.

I tried some new power foods, quinoa, which is I really enjoyed. And Kale chips which didn't look like anything tasty, but wow, if you want a little crunch and some salt, plus you get those vitamins. Try looking at the recipes.

I'm back too. I was not home for several days as I was staying with my son and DIL helping with the new Little Prince. I must say he is the cutest baby born anywhere, at any time -- not that I'm biased or anything.

It's interesting staying at someone else's house and having free access to snoop through their refrigerator and pantry. It's obvious they are not in the habit of cooking -- they have very few of what I consider the basics -- no eggs, no vegetables, etc. It's good to be home where I have control!

:congrat: on your new Grandson!

I think that having all the basics in the house such as fresh veggies, and fresh fruits, fat free cheeses, all kinds of power foods is the secret to success. But it is a lot of planning and preparation too. I am trying to make all my meal plans for the week, and then go to the grocery store to stock up. I used to be like your son, cause when you work, and then come home, you are exhausted, and then you forgot to plan, and have nothing put processed foods to eat. Even a WW frozen meal is not that healthy to eat, but I guess its good to have a few on hand for emergencies.

I really like your 100% until Spring goal, Serenity! Curious, does that mean you will or will not be using weeklies for that goal? How was your lunch? I've yet to try quinoa. How did you prepare it?

Congrats on your new addition to the family, ladynredd. I totally hear ya on having more control at home! :)

We are snowed in today so I will be making some sort of veggie soup soon and pot roast with some veggies and potatoes in the crockpot for dinner later on. I will be doing a little bit of the elliptical today and some arm weights today. After that, curl up with some blankets and movies with BF. Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi Amandie, I am just going to give it my all, stay within my points range. I don't plan on using my weeklies on a regular basis because I want to lose at least one pound a week. I don't swap my APs either. Maybe when I get to maintenance that is a different story. Others might have better outcomes when they use all the extras and swap the activity points.

I do think that the extra points and the activity points are good to use when you go to a very special event or on vacation, very occasionally. I know how my body responds, and if I am not diligent, I my body hangs onto every last ounce. lol
I chose the Spring date, cause that is enough time to see what kind of results I can get going 100% but it doesn't feel "forever".

The quinoa is very easy to prepare. I followed the directions exactly, except I substituted low salt vegetable broth instead of water. Quinoa is very mild tasting, it was a good change instead of brown rice.

Happy new year y'all!
I am starting fresh too! I fallen off the wagon months ago and I havent been here like forever and I miss chatting with you guys. Update. Well I have been single for so many years and last June 2013 I finally met my man :) so ever since been eating out and drinking. Let say I am happy since I met him and thats when I fell off the WW wagon. But I did try to stay within points but some days I feel lazy and in love hahaha.
Anyway I am back and back with motivation and determination. I started yesterday again with WW and been tracking deligently. I am an active woman. I love going to the gym but lately as I said been lazy doing stuff. So last night I ordered my Shaun T workout dvd. The new one, focus T25 (I have done insanity before and I did not want to do that all over again. Insanity killed me! But I did lose weight and got toned). So I am excited with that and hopefully I shred this weight gain again (gained 15 lbs since June :( )
So good luck to me!!!

Yup I looked at my ticker and that 176 lbs was last June. :D

Sounds good, Serenity100! Wishing you luck on your goal! I will have to try quinoa sometime soon.

Welcome back and happy new year to you too, myfavisblue! I hear ya on the new relationship gains, lol. You're awesome for doing Insanity! 2 weeks in the program, I hurt my knee when I fell on my butt doing those floor touches a little too fast. I'm sticking with Jillian, lol! ;) I've heard good things about T25. Let us know how you get on!

I did good this weekend up until last night... I got into the Christmas chocolate. I didn't do much damage, thankfully. I gave all the chocolate to the BF for himself to have and asked him to keep it in the basement. The big pot of veggie soup I made (broccoli, celery, onions, cauliflower and 4 small potatoes) was so good, especially in this frigid weather we are having. I should have roasted the broccoli and cauliflower first for more flavor, next time for sure. To avoid me going choco-loco like I did last night, I decided to make a (somewhat healthy) Black Forest cake- healthy devil's food cake from scratch (http://baking.food.com/recipe/healthy-black-devils-food-cake-315626) (less than half was used with real sugar and the other Splenda, also used white whole wheat flour to boost fiber), dream whip with 2% milk and SF cherry pie filling, yum!

Hello! Glad to meet you all!!

I am on my second week of Simple Start (newbie WW Online Only member) and so far I've lost 5 pounds. :D I know it will slow down, but I'm still excited.

I like the app. I've made a couple mistakes, but not beating myself up about it. Gets easier every day.

Doing some slow walking each day, because I'm so out of shape. I have thyroid issues (hypo) so it's a struggle with fatigue, but I'm sticking with the exercise.

Hi, ladies! I wanted to pop in. It's been crazy around here with holidays, snow days, and getting back to work!

indigophoenix - glad to hear SS is going so well! I had hyper then hypo thyroid postpartum, it's amazing what all it affects. Good for you for keeping moving!

amandie - keep us posted! :D

Serenity100 - congrats, woohoo!

As for me - Weigh-in for a 12-week weight loss group at work is tomorrow, I plan on working the plan, and am looking forward to the additional support at work (instead of the constant holiday influx of bagels!).

Weigh in this am was the same, I maintained. Oh well, not worrying about it and just keep on plan.

I got my textbooks today and my student ID too. It's real, I'm going back to school. Excited and nervous but I know I can do it.

Good luck going back to school! You can do it!i

I had a NSV, someone brought in a cheesecake from the Juniors Cheesecake place. OMG. They gave me a slice, I took one tiny taste and then threw the entire slice in the garbage. Never threw away perfectly good cake in my life before today. lol

01-10-2014, 09:05 PM
Thanks, Serenity, appreciate the encouragement! That is definitely an awesome NSV. I love cheesecake.

Somehow I pulled something on the right side of my back when I was getting in the car to go pick up my textbooks. It has been bugging me all day and I've spent the entire afternoon in bed trying to get comfortable, ugh. I just hope there's at least 50% improvement by Monday for classes. :crossed: On the upside, I'm not spending points on alcohol or junk since I've been relying on the BF to bring me food and drink, lol. Have a great evening and weekend, all!

Hi everybody! I'm checking in every day to keep me on plan. Has anyone used the Weight Watcher's Vanilla shake to make the smoothie?

I want to buy it, but it seems sooo expensive. Years ago there used to be a product, Alba that was a shake that WW told you to use, and it was not expensive and easy to find. Now if I want the shake I either have to go where there is a WW meeting or pay $5.95 shipping.

Maybe I can add protein powder to skim milk. . .hmmmm. . .I have to investigate. But if you have any thoughts please let me know.

Serenity100

Hi, I found a protein shake that supposedly tastes like the shake at Wendy's, plus it is good for you. Here is the recipe, I will write a review when I get all the ingredients together and try it.
faux protein frosty (taste’s just like wendy’s!)
serves one

ingredients:

3/4 cup (6 ounces) almond milk (or milk of your choice, i use unsweetened vanilla almond breeze by blue diamond)
15 ice cubes.. maybe more!
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (use your favorite brand–it’s important that you enjoy the flavor. i like MRM whey natural vanilla or plant fusion vanilla bean)
1-2 TB unsweetened cocoa powder (depending on how chocolatey you like it)
1/4 tsp xanthan gum (this is the KEY ingredient)
1/4 tsp guar gum (or use more xanthan if you don’t have guar)
sweetener of choice (in this one i used 1/4 of a frozen banana for my sweetener, but i always switch it up. other ideas: stevia packet, a few dates, xylitol, or agave)
directions:

blend, blend, blend.
devour.

I haven't figured out the exact points but it is 210 calories. Figuring out the points should be easy, but I want to see the nutrition label of the protein powder first to be sure. The xanthan gum is calorie free, it is used as a thickening agent.

amandie
01-11-2014, 06:11 PM
Oh man, I really wanna try that faux frosty. Mmm! 210 calories isn't that bad compared to the real thing, oy. I have not used protein powder in a long time so can't really help ya out on that one. Now I just use yogurt, preferably Greek style since there's more protein in it and make green smoothies with it.

My current fave smoothie is apple, carrots, 1/2 frozen banana, zucchini, 1/2 to 3/4 cup yogurt with some ice and/or water, depending on how thick I want it.

Re: my back, I'm feeling somewhat better so I have been taking it easy today, catching up on my TV shows, lol. So far so good on my daily points. Have a good evening, all.

Hey all! New to the WW forum, as I just started last week. Thought I would jump back to 3FC as a way to stay motivated. I like WW, and I am hoping to stick to it for life. I've never really gone to the meetings until now, although I have counted points in the past. I feel like the meetings will keep me accountable (some one else is weighing me!). :o

About me- I am a married mom of 3, live in the Midwest, I am an RN, and I have been overweight since I was 21. I weighed 217 at my non-pregnant highest, and have bounced all over between there and 168 at the lowest. I am hoping that this is the time I will actually get back to a normal weight and stay there. The good news is I am starting with much less to lose than in the past. I have done okay maintaining some of my past losses, but I want to get this done once and for all. I am renewing my wedding vows (10 yr anniversary) later this year (May) and I want to look good. My first 'wedding' was courthouse style and I wore pants and a awful shirt and the pics are TERRIBLE. I want to do it right this time, with a gown and the hair and all the bells and whistles. :carrot:

I'm new to this thread, too, but excited about it! I've been absent from WW and 3FC for about six months. Life gets busy sometimes.

I'm 32, live in the DC area, work as a writer/editor. I'm hoping to get pregnant soon, but feel like the 10 lbs I gained last year are holding me back a bit. So I figure if I don't get pregnant, I could lose that weight, plus a little more. And if I do, I'll just lose it after.

Serenity -- I love your 100 percent plan. I think I'm going to steal that mindset.

Happy Sunday to All!
I love all the positive energy over here! I know we can do it. Checking in each day and being accountable is a huge step in the right direction. I don't even need anyone to respond. LOL. Just knowing you are reading knowing the obstacles is enough.:D

I am trying to stick to the power foods, those little green triangle thingies. My dh who does not have a weight problem, can benefit too, health wise. He just eats much bigger portions, and doesn't have to watch what he snacks on.

Today I'm making a roast chicken and making the roasted sweet potatoes recipe. As long as I make the right choices and keep my portions under control, there is no worries.

Good Luck this week.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say hi. I've gained, lost, gained and became heavier then I've ever been and I'm back trying to change. Started ww two weeks ago and I'm already down 9 lbs. I'm hoping that as long as I stick to it, the weight will keep coming off. I need to be happy and healthy again.

I started December 2, 2013. My (mini) goal for the month was to lose 5 pounds. Well I didn't do it by the 31st, though I did lose 4 pounds. I still felt very satisfied with my progress. But by January 3rd, I did it! Here's my progress so far:

Start weight: 170
Week 1: Maintained
Week 2: -2 (168)
Week 3: -1 (167)
Week 4: -1 (166 week of Christmas!)
Week 5: -2 (164 happy to make under the 165 mark)
Week 6: ??

Week 6 ends today for me, and I did a pre-weigh this morning... And I am down another 3... 161!!!

I got size 12 pants for Christmas (size 14 was my biggest and those pants have started to get baggy). Not only do I fit into them, I fit into them well! They look great, and make me feel great.

As an aside, I got married October 26, 2013, just 2 and a half months ago. I hadn't started WW at that point, but on my wedding day I weight 175. That's 14 pounds I've lost... Way to kick that newlywed 15 in the butt!

January is half over, so I guess it's just time for a mini-mini goal. Since I still have 16 pounds to go to reach my ultimate goal weight of 145, I would like to just keep losing at a steady pace of 1-2 pounds a week. So my goal for January 31:

157 Just 4 pounds to go.

amandie - GL with school! Hope your back feels better soon.

Serenity100 - (re: cheesecake) you're stronger than me! I'd be looking up the points for that! :)
- I haven't tried the smoothie recipie with their mix. I agree, it seems overpriced. The WW world seems split as to how to count smoothies; approach with caution. I have had good luck generally with using chocolate protein powder in banana smoothies (yum) but that was when I was maintaining and not on plan. If you count it you should be fine. (Banana, milk, scoop of chocolate powder, ice).

jaimie1980 - Welcome! I grew up and went to college in Iowa, and now live in Illinois. Meetings helped me a ton! Sounds like you've got some lovely plans for May. :)

shanhat81 & Tereyin - Welcome! :)

DrivenByAmbition - great goal!

abinks - you're doing great! I tried to lose 5 during December but gave up through the holidays :( Not a great attitude.
- I gained 15 for my wedding, it's funny how bliss can affect eating and moving. :) Congrats on your great results!! Enjoy that wedded bliss. :)

AFM (as for me) - found out the beer I enjoy (darker beers) really pack a points punch. I really know better, to do my homework ahead of time. It is easier for me to stay on track at work, where I can bring in what I need, and when it's gone it's gone. Sooo current guess is that I have 12 WP left for the work week but with plans for some exercise this week. I think it's doable.

Hi All! I really get encouraged by reading all of your posts.
Re: the Smoothie/Shake. I subscribe to the etools so once I get all the ingredients I will get the correct points. I did read on the WW main site that if you make a smoothie, any kind, you have to count your fruit, or limit it to just one serving of one fruit. Because then people would be throwing in all kinds of fruit and mixing it up and then the calories would be for five fruits, not just one.

Everyone wait on the smoothie, until I figure the points. . .Amazon already shipped the protein powder. . .I have to get the unsweetened cocoa.

When I make smoothies all I use is fruit usually one banana and a handful or something else, and either almond milk or yogurt. I have only been counting the milk and yogurt. Why would I need to count the fruits? If I ate them separately throughout the day wouldn't they be zero points?

Aaaand you're now at the place where many heated discussions are had.

Bottom line is to do what you're comfortable with.

If you're not counting the fruit and you stall, then start counting fruit.

My 2c... count it.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A30903-2004Dec28.html
""Fluid calories do not hold strong satiety properties, don't suppress hunger and don't elicit compensatory dietary responses," says Richard D. Mattes, professor of food and nutrition at Purdue University. In fact, "when drinking fluid calories, people often end up eating more calories overall.""

Really, smoothies fall into a grey area and you need to keep an eye if you do choose to not count them. They can be a slippery slope.

If you can keep up with only counting the yougurt and milk, enjoy. :sunny:

I'm on the "count it" side, too, but I have to watch my weeklies and hoard my APs.

On another topic -- does anyone else hate going to the grocery store? It's not even the lifting and the carrying. It's the budgeting and couponing and selecting and planning. It takes FOREVER.

I think that may be why I haven't gotten there in too long! I want to switch gears into "more Paleo" but it's tough to get the system to change. I try to break it down one week at a time, but getting to the store hasn't been easy.

Hubby doesn't mind going on quick trips, and picking up lots of fruits. Veggies, on the other hand, aren't on his radar as much. Can't complain, overall!

Well, that's done for another week. Yay.

Does anyone read the Skinnytaste blog?? I think I'm going to make these for dessert this week -- I just need to go to the nice spice store (Penzeys) and get some vanilla extract.

http://www.skinnytaste.com/2009/11/chocolate-chip-clouds.html

Chocolate Chip Clouds
Skinnytaste.com

Adapted from Hershey's Kitchens
Servings: 30 • Serving Size: 1 cookie • Old Points: 1 pt • Points+: 1 pt
Calories: 53.7 • Fat: 2.2 g • Carb: 8.4 g • Fiber: 1.7 g • Protein: 1.1 g

Ingredients:

1/2 cup egg whites (room temperature)
1/8 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

Heat oven to 300°F. Cover cookie sheet with silpat or nonstick silicone pad.

Using a mixer, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar together in large bowl at high speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar a little at a time, then vanilla, beating well after each addition until you get stiff peaks, the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is glossy.

Sift cocoa onto egg white mixture; gently fold until combined.

Fold in chocolate chips. Drop mixture by heaping tablespoons onto cookie sheet. Makes 30 to 32 cookies.

Bake 34 to 40 minutes or just until dry. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool completely on wire rack. Store covered, at room temperature.

My master plan is to save three for myself and have my husband take the rest to work the next day. This worked well with the unhealthy candy cane fudge I made in December.

OMG YES to the grocery store. All the fresh, healthy foods seem to cost more too. Also, the fresh vegetables only last a few days, so you have to restock some of the veggies mid-week. And you can't tell your family, I'm eating the fresh veggies, you stick with the frozen. hahahaha

Lost 3 more pounds week 2! The downside is that now my daily points went down 1 point. Geez. It's okay, because I wasn't even eating the full points sometime. I gained weight on "junk" food snacks, not real food meals, so I really don't eat that much food to be satisfied. Crazy, I know.

Hi everyone! Congrats to those who lost. Welcome back to some of you and welcome to newcomers!!

School is going well so far and I feel a lot better than last Friday! I peeked on the scale today and I'm down to 164.8 from last week's 168, I was 168 the week before last so it's basically a whoosh from water and whatnot but I wasn't expecting to be back in the lower 160s already! Let's see if Friday brings me lower numbers.

I've decided to cut out drinking, maybe until St. Patrick's Day. I was able to drink and lose all the way down from 230 but it's different now- I can't drink and lose at the rate I want... Well I probably could but I'd be a starving drunk ß!tch and that's no good for everyone involved. :-D

Making bacon wrapped chicken stuffed with a little cream cheese, garlic, spinach and Greek yogurt with broccoli and some lemon pepper brown rice on the side for dinner tonight.

Have a great evening, all!

Yummy! I want to make this instead of my dinner, lol. I wonder if I can omit the cocoa powder because I personally prefer white chocolate macadamia nut cookies... Time for some experimenting this weekend!

I have lost 2.5 pounds since Christmas for a total of 12.5 since October. My three month weight-watchers online membership is ending, and I am not going to continue it because of money. I am hoping I can do it on my own, but would love to know of an app that does the same thing. I have asked the question on different topics, and not yet received an answer. Anyone???

I flaked on dinner last night -- I write books and grants and my job has some weirdski hours. Husband came home and was like, "Um .. dinner?" I was like, "Oops." So we had one of my two Plan Bs -- Flatout pizzas.

I don't measure my husband's, but this is what's on mine: 1 Flatout, 0.5 cup Wegmans pomodoro sauce (love this stuff -- low sugar, few preservatives, tastes great, not $$$), 0.25 cup LF mozz cheese, 13 veggie pepperoni slices, a handful of sliced onions. I bake it at 400 for 8 minutes, and then when it's done, I put a cup of greens and a drizzle of olive oil (0.5 tsp) over the top. And lots of crushed red pepper. :)

I held at 163.5 this morning so I'm crossing my fingers that it'll hold for my official weigh-in tomorrow!

Hi everyone, just checking in. I love how everyone is determined to do what it takes, and figures out "something" to stick with it.

I started using the simply filling recipes, and they all use "fat free" cheese. Well I'm going on record that these cheeses leave lots to be desired:D and as soon as I am finished with the packages I purchased, I'm switching to "low fat, or 2% cheeses and track them as such. I would rather use the points to enjoy eating something, than just to have "cheese" that isn't tasty. ETA, Fat Free Feta, is one FF cheese I like, especially in omelets

Koshka

That was one of the things I didn't like about Simply Filling. Only fat free cheeses were power foods and not the reduced fat cheeses. I like the WW cheese sticks (love the jalapeno ones) and it is reduced fat. I hated having to count a point for it when I was doing Simply Filling. Also, some types of cheeses I just couldn't even find in a nonfat version.

EasySpirit- A non-meeting and non-etool user here. I currently use WWDiary on my android phone. It's free but there's no food database, can be either PP+ or just Pts. It does let you save your food/meals (as well as back it up on sd card), also can track weight, exercise and GHG. Very user friendly, at least for me.

One app I did buy and try was Diet Watchers. There is a learning curve with it (there is an online tutorial and company email support if needed) and I thought there would be more in the food database that came with the app but I only paid 2 bucks for it so no biggie. That's when I realized I should have looked at the reviews before buying, lol.

There are a couple that I've been eyeing but won't commit to buying (yet) since I like WWDiary and it's working for me- Pts Plus Weight Diary (1.99) and Value Plus Diary or something like that (3.99). Definitely a lot cheaper than WW. I hope that helps!

Shanhat- Oh wow, I haven't had flatout wraps in a long time, just forgot all about them. I love using them as a crust for pizza although I'm bad at putting so much stuff that I end up having to fold it to eat it instead. Still delicious though. :crossed: for you on your WI tomorrow. Your pizza sounds good! My fave kind of pizzas- the one similar to CPK's BBQ chicken pizza- BBQ sauce as the base, grilled diced/sliced chicken, red onions, green bell peppers and your favorite white cheese, mmm! Sometimes I add spinach for more volume, still tastes good to me. Another fave is spinach and artichoke using garlicky alfredo sauce as the base, you could use shrimp, chicken or leave it out altogether and white cheese on top.

Serenity- I agree with you on FF cheese. Not for me! Feta cheese is one of my favorites. LF blue cheese is pretty good too, esp when stirred in cottage cheese or greek yogurt to be used as a dip or salad dressing. Now that I think of it, I've never tried or even seen FF blue cheese?

Dinner last night was a bust- I played around online too long and it was too late to cook the rice, stuffing etc before BF left for bowling league so I just made instant macaroni and cheese, baked chicken with lemon pepper green beans. BF is off to his other bowling league again tonight and I got some homework to do so am keeping it simple tonight- turkey and bacon with veggies in a tortilla wrap with cottage cheese on the side. ETA: Changed my mind on the turkey & bacon wrap. I made myself a bacon-onion- spinach "quesadilla" with a mixture of BBQ sauce and cottage cheese as the base. Amazingly, it all held together without any added cheese! Yumsers, that hit the spot. Looking forward to my WI tomorrow! Oh and the 3 day weekend too! :D :carrot:

Have a great evening, all!

Checking in- Weighed in today down 3.0 pounds. Not bad for a first weigh in. As long as I slide comfortably into the 170's by Feb 1st (two more weigh ins to go) I will be one happy camper.

And thanks for the reminder on the flatout pizzas! I used to make those years ago and totally forgot about them! Yum! However, I tried the LF english muffin recipe from SS, only I subbed real pizza sauce instead of tomatoes, and they were great. My kids asked for them the next night! And I used FF cheese even. Very filling and I believe it was 6 points. Yay!

Onto week 2.... hoping for 179 on Thursday!

Hang in there, Tereyin! Maybe it is sodium bloat? I didn't lose anything last week either. It will come off eventually! My fingers are crossed for you come Saturday's weigh-in.

Amandie -- that BBQ chicken pizza idea is FABULOUS and I am stealing it.

I second the dislike of the fat-free cheeses being the only power foods on Simple Start. I feel like when I eat low-fat cheese, I use less but feel more satisfied. Same goes for fat-free salad dressing (aside from plain balsamic or red wine vinegar).

Oh, if there's anyone out there who, like me, like balsamic vinegar but only in small doses ... Wegmans makes a balsamic vinegar mister. I just refill it with more vinegar when it's empty.

Weigh in was good, down 2.4 lbs. Amazing since I haven't been able to exercise much this week.

amandie

Shanhat- I love balsamic vinegar, it's the most favorite of mine next to red wine. I usually make my own dressing using 1-2 tbsp of oil then the rest is vinegar and a little bit of water if it's too... Vinegary. What a great WI!

WI was good this am, down to 163 from 168! It looks like I've lost 5lbs in a week but really it's 2.5 averaged out since I lost nothing last week.

Have a great day, lovelies!

Happy Saturday!
I'm a slow loser too. I fully expect to slow down to one pound a week, and if that happens, I'm good with it. This is not a diet, this is a way of eating and I fully intend of sticking to eating like this forever. I read something on of all places the Oprah Magazine website, which had a doctor rating the various diets. Basically it said, no matter what the diet, if you can't see yourself sticking to it "forever" don't even start it. That is why people do a very restricted diet, are successful, but then can't maintain that way of eating and gain the weight back and then more.

This time I am training myself portion control more than anything. And eating healthy whole foods over junk.

Have a great weekend!

I weighed in on Friday and only saw a .6lb loss... I guess a loss is a loss, but this is reminding me of how slow I was to lose towards the end of the summer. I had several weeks right in a row where I maintained, even after seriously tracking and getting in mucho cardio.

I think this week I am going to focus on eating more lean meats and WAY less carbs. I know, weight watchers teaches us that carbs aren't the devil. But I am pretty sure my body disagrees with them. So we will see how it goes.

So far, because today is day one of this experiment, I have had:
2 eggs, 4pt+
fat free cheddar, 1pt+
black beans, 2pt+

2 clemintines, 0pt+
a small portion of pineapple, 0pt+

For dinner I am making
turkey meatballs and spaghetti squash. I haven' figured out the points on that yet.

I know there is a lot of sugar in there with the fruit... something to work on. Happy Sunday night!

Folks, I made this, and it is awesome. That xanthan gum turns it into the consistency of a Wendy's Frosty. I used the unsweetened almond milk, that is one point. Regular FF milk is two points. I liked mine very chocolatey, so that is one point for 2 TBLS of cocoa powder, then the protein powder that I used MRM whey vanilla has 87 calls and is two points. So that is 4 points or 5 depending how you make it. You need a high powered blender, because with all that ice the volume doubles in size, and that is a lot of ice. lol But man, it is worth it, so filling, and it is good for you too.

Such a hard weekend! I am looking forward to Football being over but then again I am not. I seem to eat too much crap and want to drink beer when we watch games. You have to be a member for at least 20 days, along with 20 posts, down to the second you signed up so that's sometime on the 26th (saw that you signed up on the 6th) so less than a week! :) Perhaps you should try plain nonfat Greek yogurt instead of FF sour cream? Good sour cream sub, at least to me, it is. Love it with a bit of garlic salt and some freshly chopped scallions as a dip. Weekends are hard for me also.

No school today so I am just catching up on stuff I need to do- cleaning, cooking/prepping meals for the week, laundry, etc. Nothing exciting happened over the weekend- Did my homework, played a couple rounds of corn hole and went bowling. My hip is sore from both activities, lol. I am so outta shape! A good reminder for me to get back to doing the elliptical a couple times a week.

I hope everyone had a good weekend! Let's have a OP week, dearies!

Holy cow... I want that shake. HA! My mouth is seriously watering. Maybe it's because all I can think about is bread and sugar!?!

Day two of the no/low carb experiment went good. Having some serious support in the house is so helpful, my fiance isn't a picky eater and is into eating whatever I do. So, I love that.

Today I was out of the building for work and was busy and running around all day, so I wasn't thinking about snacking or any of that. I prepared salad stuff and cooked several chicken breasts tonight after work, I have those to eat for tomorrows lunch.

Do any of you guys have a delicious Tuna recipe?

My local supermarket has the Weight Watchers "Smart Ones" frozen foods on a special sale. They were on sale 5 for $10, but if you bought 10 for $20 you got an instant $5.00 rebate. Plus I had a $2.00 coupon. so I ended up paying $13.00 for ten.($1.30 each) But I am not crazy about the meals, so all I buy are the breakfast ones to eat as a special treat on the weekends. The French Toast with sausage is good, it even comes with it's own syrup. I also like the egg McMuffin type sandwiches. I bought two boxes of the deserts to have on hand for emergencies.

Today we ate dinner over my sister's house and I brought over a cheese cake for dessert for everyone, and I brought a WW keylime pie for myself. It tasted good, but it was tiny, not worth 4 points on a regular basis.

Tomorrow's Tuesday already. lol. I thought today was Sunday for a second.

Smashlers- No exciting tuna recipes here, the usual tuna salad or tuna patties. One "recipe" I saw on FB last week and want to try is deviled eggs but with tuna thrown in the yolk mixture then prepared just like deviled eggs, although I'm not sure if they added any mayo or anything like that.

Yay for a short school week! Doing good so far on all aspects. I'm hoping to see a loss this Friday before TOM starts.

For Tuna, I make a tuna salad that isn't bad for you.

I use a large pouch of tuna in water. I add one hard-boiled egg, 2 T. of Kraft olive oil reduced fat mayo, and 1 T. of sugar free relish.

This makes 2 servings and is 4 points plus. You can reduce the points to 3 by using less mayo.

Sounds Yummy. I make a tuna salad sandwich everyday for lunch. I thought a made up my own recipe but then today I saw it in a Hungry Girl cookbook I have. lol Do you know the Mann's Broccoli Slaw? I mix that into a can of tuna and some low fat mayo. There is more than enough for three sandwiches then. I use light bread. It is five points with the light bread. I'm like a kid I have to pack my lunch the night before. But now I only have to make the tuna 2x a week. lol When I get sick of tuna, I will do the same with chicken and make chicken salad out of skinless chicken breasts. I don't do well eating processed cold cuts. Too much salt I think.

amandie tell me more about these tuna patties. Do I have to add bread crumbs? I am trying to stay away from carbs.

Today, I ended up making a huge salad for lunch with a can of tuna an egg and that kraft olive oil mayo. Very similar to you Koshka, except sub relish for red onion.... So I smelled fantastic. HAH!

Today is day 4 low carb for me, and I am not so anxious about it anymore. I caught myself staring at a co-workers saltine crackers today at lunch, though. I had to snap myself out of it. But I will weigh-in tomorrow, and hopefully see some significant movement.

Koshka and Smashlers- both of your tuna variations sound good!

:carrot: on your loss, LizzyLou!

Smashlers- No breadcrumbs. 1-2 cans of tuna, depending on size and how much you want to serve, with 1 whole egg, diced celery, onions, cucumbers/pickles/relish or whatever is on hand, lemon juice, garlic (I like the roasted powdered kind), and my fave spicy brown mustard. Sometimes dill weed too. The veggies add flavor and bulk. Eggs act as as a binder so no need for breadcrumbs. Flaxseed might work if you make it up with water and let it gel up before if you don't want to use eggs, although not sure if it would impart any flavor(s).

Serenity- Sounds good. I haven't had shrimp in a while! I shall have to get some this weekend. I love making chipotle lime shrimp and adding them to my taco salad.

For anyone who's interested, toss shrimp in abodo sauce with a little bit of lime juice, not too much and don't leave shrimp in too long though or you'll cook the shrimp due to the lime juice and it'll become mushy! Then cook in pan or grill until shrimp is done, more lime juice at the end then serve however you want. I since I have severe reflux, I just put in a tablespoon of the abodo sauce in a 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup of water and let shrimp soak for a bit just to get that little bit of flavor and kick.

I came across a flourless peanut butter banana muffin (http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/breakfast-ideas-phase-2/268458-peanut-butter-banana-muffins.html) recipe on here under South Beach diet earlier and thought it sounded good. I somewhat followed the recipe.. The difference was using 1/2 cup of peanut butter instead of 1 cup since that was all I had on hand, a little less than 1/4 cup of brown sugar, an extra banana, 1 tbsp oil, and 1/2 cup old fashioned oats. I baked it in loaf pan instead since I'm not a fan of muffins. Can't wait to try them out after they cool off first. I will report back on the taste although I think it'll be good since the batter was pretty good, lol.

Scheduling issues stopped me from attending a meeting today or yesterday... graduate school and work full-time is seriously no joke (my friends think I fell off the face of the earth). So instead I just weighed myself at home this morning.... WOOO HOOO, -2.2 lbs and it feels so good!

I attribute it all to the low carb experiment of the week. So all week I ate yogurt with fruit on the bottom (non-fat) and fruit with lunch and still lost, so it has to be a gluten thing. I don't know enough about gluten and intolerances, but I am a really slow loser and a -2.2 drop is SO. HUGE. for me.

I am going to try it again this week, and work on my attitude about it at the same time... I have been in a real sour mood about it and complaining, so I could be better.

Do you guys employ a "What ever works go with it" kind of dieting mentality or does WW or lifestyle changes have to take you kicking and screaming?

Serenity - LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP HERE WE COME!!! Just curious as to how you cooked the Quinoa? I haven't tried it yet. I am new to cook couscous but can't seem to find other ways to cook it to add flavor.

Smashlers - I go with what is working for me. I follow WW pretty close but if I have a lifestyle change or am out and want something "NOT ON My LIST" I still enjoy it but not as much and try to increase my exercise. It is not necessarily a gluten thing. It is most likely related to low carb. When I go grain free and refined sugar free, even if I still eat fruits and veggies, my carbs go down by a lot. I do count calories and carbs through MFP so I can see this clearly.

The point is that when you reduce the amount of carbs you are eating your body releases water that was holding certain carbs in the body. This is why people rapidly lose weight the first few weeks of eating low carb. Some of the loss is due to reduced calories. But, most of it is due to the release of the water.

After the first few weeks of low carb, if one goes back to eating a typical level of carbs there will usually be a big gain. Again, this is also due to that same water being added back in.

The thing is that this water gain or loss isn't fat loss. It looks nice to see it on the scale, but it is mostly water loss. It isn't because of you going gluten free. It is because of you reducing your carb intake.

(I'm not saying that you don't have a gluten sensitivity - many people do. Just that the big drop is more likely to be due to releasing of water due to reduced carb intake).

TGIF to all!

Amandie - I follow the directions on the quinoa package and substitute low salt veggie broth for the water. My directions has 1/2 cup quinoa to 1 cup water.

Smashlers - I do whatever works. I have done low carb in the past, and it works, but I couldn't sustain it. I like my bread and pasta too much to think that I can't ever eat them for the rest of my life. So, portion control is the way for me. I am switching out my carbs for low glycemic carbs wherever possible. Ex., brown rice, quinoa, sweet potatoes, light wheat bread, whole wheat pasta.

I enjoyed a glass of wine at Happy Hour with an old friend. It was nice to see my friend, but now I have no points left after dinner. lol. Oh well. It was a one time thing.

I've been a basket case all week. I think I'm taking too many vitamins! But I feel like I have to (TTC). Prenatal, D3, C, biotin, fish oil, calcium, zinc .. although the zinc is really for my eczema.

I'm back to WW after trying to do it myself for a few years. I know now that I can't, I need the program.

I went back yesterday and I feel really good! I'm getting used to the new points and the iPhone tool, that I just love for tracking. I walked around the supermarket scanning things to look at the differences in points, comparing yogurts and breads, etc. I'm just happy to be back on track!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Welcome BethC I love that first couple weeks of experimenting and finding all the foods that are "safe" and planning. It's fun! I found a few of my meal staples that way at first. I am messing with my plan right now, but I used to LOVE the Thomas bagel thins, with fat free cream cheese, Light Progresso soups, chicken breasts in the crockpot with salsa, and Non-fat greek yogurt!!!

It's funny, more and more of those foods that are staples for so many of us are getting new packaging with WW pp values right on them. I wish everything was like that! Weight Watchers is taking over!

Have you guys tried the WW string cheese with Jalepeno peppers? 1 point!
Don't eat two a day though because then it will be 3 points!:dizzy:

They are great for a snack when you are ravishingly hungry and need to cook dinner.

The bad part is when I go food shopping on a Saturday, the store is usually out of them. grrrrr.

I can't use the progresso soups, just too much salt for me and it slows down the scale and makes me frustrated. But the WW soup recipes are all awesome and easy to make, I make a batch and put into individual containers. The one I'm eating now is the crockpot Italian soup made with diced tomatoes. Another delicious one for winter is the butternut squash soup, but that one is 2 points.

I am going to look for Whole Wheat Bagel Thins. I'm using English Muffins and I like those fine though, but it is good to have a change available.

I love, love, love the jalapeno string cheese. I couldn't find it at any of the stores I normally shopped at but then I went to the Walmart website and found that the local Walmart had it (I don't usually shop there).

Hang in there, shanhat!

Hi and welcome, BethC!

Smashlers- I'm on the whatever works bandwagon! ;) WTG on your 2.2 down.

Pre-reflux DX, I'd totally chow down on those jalapeno cheeses! They may be great stuffed in a real jalapeno or whatever pepper you prefer then wrapped with a slice of bacon then baked or grilled. Yummy for Super Bowl snacks/apps if anyone is thinking about what to make. For now, I will just have to live vicariously through you guys.

I totally forgot to weigh in on Friday, boo!! Bowled a lot on Saturday and Sunday and my back kinda hurts, another boo! Wish me luck, guys... I have a math test today. :crossed: for 100% and extra credit!

Anyway, let's all have a great week!!!

Good Monday morning to everyone!

I made some delicious soups and snacks for the week this weekend, thought I would share. My fiance made turkey chili that is seriously so good! He used white beans and added mustard seed. I think those little mustard seeds make the whole pot of chili, I love it. I added a little fat free cheddar and it was delish.

I made a crock pot full of buffalo chicken dip (also great for superbowl snacks). Its a fairly typical recipe: 1 brick FF cream cheese (you could probably sub .5 brick ff and.5 brick 1/3 fat, because, honestly... that FF cream cheese, when it makes up so much of the recipe is kinda gross) and then added wing sauce to taste. Just get it hot and mix it together, and its delicious. Maybe add a little ranch packet if you're into super salt. I dip my little peppers in it or celery. (Also good on pretzels )

Then, the most delicious thing I made: meatball soup. 32 oz of broth of your choice, and about 20 frozen (turkey) meatballs, all the veggies (I used spinach, carrot, celery, onion, stewed tomato). SO GOOD. I made a whole crock of it, and its pretty much gone. And its what is for lunch today. 4pts.

Hope everyone is off to a bright fresh start this monday morning. I have about a billion things to read for my classes, and there are about a billion other things i would rather be doing! :p

Amandie...good luck on your test.

I will have to go to Walmart and find the ww jalapeno cheese sticks...although i would have to use my extra points for it since i am doing the simply filling plan. Its been ok so far but I have got to find other stuff to cook because it seems like i am getting bored!!!

Hope you all have a great week...Weigh-In on Wednesday...hoping to break even...it was a very good but very bad weekend for me!!!

Huh, I thought I already typed out a post earlier? Okay, gonna type it out again from memory, sorry if I missed anyone!

Shanhat- Hang in there!

Welcome, BethC!

Ashley- I made your meatball soup tonight, so good! I added Italian seasoning, powdered roasted garlic, mushrooms and maybe a little too much spinach, lol. Thanks so much for the dinner idea (and leftover lunches for me to bring to school this week, yay!)

Drooling hard at your chili and buffalo dip. Maybe I will attempt a no-mato chili with just cumin and paprika, very few dashes of Tabasco. Growing up, I had a serious spicy tooth, enough to the point where I'd sip hot sauce right out of the bottle, yikes. Sometimes I miss the flavor but I don't miss the heartburn and the other stuff that comes with it. As for the dip, perhaps I'll omit the wing sauce and just have ranch chicken dip? I totally agree with you on the FF cream cheese.

Gah, life was so much easier before I developed GERD. /rant

Thank you, Lizzy Lou! Fingers are crossed for your WI on Wednesday! :crossed:I hear ya on getting bored on the same stuff.

Amandie I can't stop with the wing sauce. I put it on salads and.. well... anything that I can. I am addicted.

Lizzylou How long have you been doing simply filling? Did you try that new Simple Start plan at all?

More on Simple Start: I would love to hear if any of you have seen success with it. I feel like I am doing a hybrid plan of this. Because I track, and many of the things I eat are power foods... Sometimes, like last night for instance, I went to sleep and had only eaten 23 points for the day. But I was totally satisfied and full and content all day. I eat a lot of veggies and fat free dairy and lean meats, so the points just aren't there. I get 39 pt+ a day, so that would be SO MUCH FAT FREE CHEESE and chicken.

Hey ladies! Congrats on all the losses. Amazing!! I was down 0.4 this week. I can't say much other than that I was a little lazy over the weekend with tracking. I also used my splurge points this week and did not use them last week. So now I have been avoiding using them again this week. This morning the scale dipped to the 170's (barely at 179.8) so I think those points are going to have to be off limits for me. I also lost a daily point at weigh in this week (I thought GEES I lose .4 and they are stripping a point away!) Yikes! Best wishes this week!

Hello all!

My first WI was this morning and I'm down 4.9 pounds! (.1 pounds away from a nice round number :)) I also lost 1 pt+ per day, which is exciting. I was OP all week despite going out with friends twice.

Best wishes to everyone this week, here's to finishing January on plan and in style.

I hear ya, Ashley. Spicy food was/still is an addiction for me, lol. I, too, put it on everything. My fave "dip" was cottage cheese with hot sauce and pepper flakes along with some cukes, carrots and celery sticks.

Did ya see that article about hot cheetos and kids? More and more kids are suffering with gastric issues and honestly, I'm not surprised. I grew up with IBS but that could have been attributed to stress, not just food. I probably will not let my children (if I ever have any) eat spicy food until they are well into their teens. I had my first dozen of hot wings at 2 years old, thanks to my brother.

WTG on your 4.9, Viking. That is awesome!

Jaimie- I bet you'll catch up next week!

On losing points, ugh! I'm down to the minimum, 26. Boohiss! I'm currently on my break between classes today, just eating lunch (meatball soup, thanks again Ashley and it tastes awesome the next day) and catching up on Vampire Diaries via netflix.

Have a great afternoon, lovelies.

Smashlers..I did try the Simple Start and it got me started the first week but I had to them jump into Simply filling because I got bored with Simple Start food. I think its going pretty good I just need to find other recipes to make and spice up our food a little. Getting a little repeatative (sp?) lol

Way to to Viking on your loss! That's awesome!

Anyone know where I can find some simply filling main dish recipes?

Thank and have a wonderful Tuesday!!!

Yesterday was a great day, took a 2.7 mile walk (a lot for me) in a hilly area so got 11 flights of stairs (per Fitbit) for it. But, today the weather is cold and wet so can't walk outside. I was going to use the rower and treadmill, but my allergies are driving me nuts so I don't feel like doing anything. I have to be careful on what I eat today since I won't have many calories from moving around. (Will eat closer to my minimum than usual).

Wow. So many posts, I can't even keep up. :dizzy: I Love it!

I love the recipes in the Simple Start, I think it is perfect for someone who has never done WW before. But I like to track for myself, I have the tools, so it's no problem. I have never done Simply Filling, some of it seems limited, for example, as we discussed you can only have Fat Free cheese. So those Jalepeno Pepper cheese sticks would be not a choice.

One thing that I need to work on (besides more exercise) is drinking more water. There is no excuse for that. The water flushes away the salt which retains water in your body, and hopefully the fat.

Have a great day everyone.:)

I did try Simply Filling, but it wasn't for me because of things like Fat Free cheese being a power food, but lowfat cheeses weren't.

There are a lot of similarities between what you can eat on Simply Filling and what is on Phase 2 of South Beach Diet. However, on SBD you can eat the lowfat cheese and can have 1 nut serving a day.

The other big difference is that WW allows reduced calorie bread whether it is whole grain or refined grain while SBD only allows whole grain (and doesn't require that it be reduced calorie). I actually think it is, well, bad that WW allows reduced calorie refined grain on Simply Filling since it is certainly not nutritious for you.

Serenity100 For so so so long drinking more water was the goal that I put on the back of my Weekly at the WW meetings every week, and it just never worked out... Then my life changed. Lol I bought the Eddy bottle by Camelbak. It has a straw, its pretty, I love it. Now I drink like 4 or 5 of these bottles a day and don't even have to think about it.
http://shop.camelbak.com/store/ProductImages/details/1012_chili_red_l.jpg

Koshka That is really good point. I tried SBD the first time I started trying to lose weight in 2011, lost a bunch and then gained it back. I think, with any diet the concern is weight loss and not so much being "healthy". Diet companies leave that up to us to sort out I guess. And thinking about it, I agree with them. Because, being in maintenance is a whole other beast. Figuring out what to eat in a healthy way, or a way that is specific to our bodys needs, is a lot less (I would think, I have never been in maintenance) stressful since your night trying to juggle too many things.

Alright ladies I am off to school then work. Long day today. Have a good day!

Hello ladies! Phew this year has been pretty stressful thus far, but I think I have a hold on things right now!

I had been displaying signs of vitamin deficiencies since October. I could not figure out what was going on. I started taking vitamin b complex, and my symptoms started getting better, but weren't going away. Did some searching online and talked closely with a relative and figured that I might have a real underlying problem, she was having similar issues and her own theory.

So, I have started a new lifestyle change. I am now gluten-free and although it's only been 5 days since starting, I can not believe I am no longer bloated and some of my symptoms are slowly vanishing, even things I would have never tied to gluten-intolerance. I think I may still be detoxing, but I can't tell you the relief I feel already. I am still extremely tired, but thinking back on all my issues with food, it is all becoming clear I had an underlying issue.

I am so ecstatic, and yes I will miss some foods, but I can't tell you how thankful I am to have discovered this now.

I am ready to start tracking with my new diet change! I wanted to get a handle on what I can and cannot have, and not focus on counting so much this first week.

Hey Everyone!
Just joining although I'v been lurking for quite a while. My journey is the EPITOME of slow and steady! I started in Dec of 2012 where I just made a decision to completely change my lifestyle and get more active (I was doing completely NOTHING outside of bare minimum). In 2012 and 2013 I participated in a few walks/5ks and started to deal with some emotional stuff (emotional eater, party of 1). After spending the better part of last year getting into a more fulfilled and happier job, I have decided to tackle my main demon of FOOD this year. My first mini goal is getting to 250 and honestly if it takes all year, I'm okay with that, but I'm doing WW online and learning to cook healthier so I'm hoping it wont take that long :)

VikingBride2Be

Ashley: That water bottle is how I get all my water in too. Mindlessly drinking .75L at a time :)

Today is going good. It warmed up to a balmy -4 degrees here, and they lifted the Wind Chill advisory that said you could get frostbite from skin exposed outside from 6-10 minutes. Ugh. Is it April yet?

Hi, I thought I would jump into the conversation :) I have been following the WW plan since last March. I just really love it. Sometimes it has been hard to pass up things like free pizza or cupcakes at work (for instance, if I have run out of points for the day or just know that I need protein over sugar for the remainder of the day).

However, I think overall the program has really worked for me. I am really dedicated to tracking my points throughout the day; it has become like second nature to me. I tend to eat more whole foods than not, but I love the fact that I can "spend" my points on something I am craving if I really want to.

So far, I have lost 110 pounds with 15 more to go

:D

Hi everyone else, I am reading all the comments, just don't have lots of time to answer everyone individually. Good News, I lost another three pounds:dancer: and the computer is stating maybe I'm losing too fast. :joker: Not on your life! I can't believe I am eating so much and losing. The only thing I am not eating is the high fat high sugar foods.

Good Luck Everyone!

I haven't tried the pb2, but I recall reading on various threads that it is great. Have you tried asking on the Weightloss Support board?

I am totally dehydrated, and I need to drink that water! Part of the problem is that I ate a WW Smartones egg mcmuffin thing and it had much too much salt. I am retaining water like mad. So glad I have a week to flush it out. I learned my lesson now.
Note to self: those frozen meals are no good for you.:D

I actually like the pb2 and I usually add it to yogurt though instead of following the instructions and adding water. The taste is a bit different but I can't explain how- I still like it. A 6.5 oz jar is less than 5 bucks here and I figured if I didn't like it, I was only out 5 bucks. I'm planning on ordering a ton since I go through the stuff a lot, lol. Welcome!!! You reminded me that I need to sign up for a 5K or two this year! I've yet to do one.

You're so amazing, Autumn! Welcome!

Serenity- another 3lbs? :carrot: Happy for you! :carrot: WTG!

VikingBride- oh my goodness! Brrrr! I'm with you, cannot wait for warmer weather!!

Ohh yea, 105% on my math test. Whoo-hoo! I don't think I will see anything on the scale tomorrow, I had a few too many last night when I went out to bowl a few games. Oops. I'm looking forward to the monster jam Saturday night! Not looking forward to my sociology test on Monday! Haha. In case I don't get on in the next few days, have a great weekend all!

I was happy to weigh in today and get my 25 pound charm! This week was a challenge due to bad weather and my allergies. I had 3 days that I didn't do much but I did do a lot of walking on the other days. I also adjusted what I ate to account for the days I didn't do much. I lost 1.2 pounds which for me is a lot. But, the big thing was to finally get back to 25 pounds lost.

Hello all! Good news all around for me today. My fiance had a fantastic job interview up in Chicago and we hope to be hearing good news about that soon. I am finishing up a degree in Indiana, and since my dad passed away in Octoer, I have been **** bent on getting back up there to be with family. And it seems like my plan is starting to pan out!

I got the case to my new iPad in the mail today, but have yet to receive the actual iPad. I got an AMAZING deal! My friend works at Mejier and found out that they clearanced out all the iPad 2 (gen 4's) to only stock the iPad air. I had just been talking about how I was looking into buying a used iPad, becuase I really don't have $599 to spend! He bought it and is shipping it to me. I paid $200 for a brand new gen 4. I LOVE THAT.

I also lost 1.2 this week. That puts me back at the weight I was when I sorta fell off the wagon late last summer. And a total of 50.2 lbs lost. Pretty amazing.

Hope everyone is well!
