Hi everyone! I'm back at my dad's computer. I have been sooooo lost without being online today. I miss everyone so much!

Debbie and Sherry, so glad you made it back home safe and sound. I can hardly wait to read about the escapades on the beach!

Shellley, Gayle, Dee, Jennelle, thanks for keeping Dan in your prayers. He seems to be responding well to the medicine. Hopefully each day will get better and better.

Cheryl, yes, the man who killed himself is the one I was talking about who beat the child to death. I hope this doesn't sound cruel, but he probably suffered a lot less than that baby did, and I don't really think that is fair.

Liz, I forgot to welcome you last night. I hope you jump right in and become one of us.

Well, it is official..........my computer is toast! There is no hope for it. The hard drive crashed and it won't even accept the recovery disk. I came down here to use dad's computer and he had ordered a new Dell desktop for me. He said it is an early birthday present. Aren't dads wonderful??? He knew there was no way I could afford a new one right now. It should be here in about a week.
Better get off now. I have to go give my dad a big hug!

Talk to you all in a couple of days.

Hey

Thanks for the ones who missed us while we we're gone.I guess I was expecting everyone to say how much they missed us...but guess we weren't missed much afterall!

Drew (my Son) & I had to go to the Dr. today. He has swimmers ear and I have infection in both ears, throat infection and my lungs are infected too.I had 2 shots and got 2 precriptions and 2 inhalers.I'm almost dead tonight. (I started getting sick on Friday night before we came home on Sunday)

I'm going to post to everyone but if it doesn't sound right it's because I'm so drugged.

Jennelle,
I'm so happy for you on the new job!!! You'll love the split classes!Drew's favorite subjects are what you teach, Language & Reading!! I know you're so excited about signing that contract on Wednesday!!!! When do you start? I wish that our Schools here were smaller with K-6 in them.

Jeanne,
Your trip to Maui sounded AWESOME! Wow...Snorkeling and swimming under water falls! How neat!! Now when are you going to teach us the hula dance???? By the way: I laughed at what you said because I had 194 emails and a lot of them were of VIAGRA too!!!

Vicki,
Your trip to Fla must have been fun too! The weather was cloudy the first couple of days then cleared up. But you know Debbie & I, We can find fun in clouds or sun!! LOL! I'm glad that your Mom is doing so well since her stroke. Does your Dad go visit her everyday?

Gayle,
Wow girl....You have been on two trips since we left!!! I don't know how you could have passed up being backstage with Keith Urban!!!! But I do know what it's like to be tired too! LOL I love your new avatar!! You are one hot Floozie!!!! I missed you! BTW: How is your friend Nancy? She's in my prayers tonight.

Shelley,
Thanks again for starting a new thread & keeping it going. Sounds like you have been a busy girl cleaning and rearranging pictures and etc.! Where did you get that burst of energy?! When I get well, I have a lot to do here before I go back to School. I know you can't wait to wrap your arms around your Daughter tomorrow! I know you must have missed her a lot!

Ramona,
I'm so sorry to hear about your computer. But it's great that your Dad is buying you a new one!! I noticed that you started South Beach on the 30th and are doing so well! Debbie bought the book too. I may buy it, read it and follow it too. What I've heard so far, It's something I can do for life. Did you have a good time in Branson? Sorry to hear about your Aunt. I'm so sorry. How is Dan's foot now? It nice to hear the exciting news about Ben! I know you're proud!

Doni,
How is your Mom's swollen foot now? I'm glad to hear that she's out of the hospital. You need to tell Dad to straighten up! Try to post more with us.I sure miss you when you're not around.

Cheryl,
I'm glad you got good news at the Dr!!! You had us all worried about you girl! You must be doing hapy dances!! Are you doing better staying OP this week?

Dee,
Did you have a good time in North Dakota? Do you have family or friends there? I have to ask you something. Are you ok? The reason why I'm asking is because your posts don't sound like you.I've been thinking that the last 2-3 weeks, you have been acting or sounding different. I know you have been sick but is that all that's wrong? I hope everything is ok though...I just had to be nosey and ask because I care about you so much.

Carol,
I have enjoyed reading your motivational posts. Are you still doing ok being OP? I noticed you are down to 172! I'm so proud of you! Now that vacation is over, I've got to get back to being OP myself! I've been so bad!!!!!!! On the way to Fla, Debbie & I were talking about how awesome it would be to come visit you some weekend!!!!

Titan (Dee),
Where are you? You haven't posted since we left!!! I'm getting worried! Are you ok??? Let me hear from you...ok?

Debbie,
Again, I had a wonderful trip. Sorry I got sick. I hope James is feeling better too. I wish I was right back there on the beach now! I already miss it sooooooo much!! We have memories that will last a lifetime! I never laugh so much as I do when we're all together. Those hubbies of ours keep us in stitches, don't they? LOL!

I hope that I didn't leave anyone out. Time to take my medicine and go to sleep. I'll check in with ya'll in the a.m.

Love & Hugs...... (I missed ya'll)

Sherry - To answer your question, school starts for me on August 4 and for my students on August 7. I'm going down to the school tomorrow to start setting up my classroom. I spent $70 at Knowledge Tree and $110 at Wal-Mart today and am STILL not done with my beginning of the year shopping!

To everyone else...if you read my posts on the 100 Lb. Club, you'll know that I've been struggling lately. I battled with some anorexic behavior a few weeks ago, and I've been binge eating lately. I'll tell ya - with me there's just no in-between! Anyhow, I went to the American Dietetic Association's website (www.eatright.org) and found a registered dietitian who has experience with eating disorders. I emailed her and asked her for the names of some therapists in the area who she knows are familiar with treating eating disorders. She emailed me back on Friday to tell me that she was out of town until today and would email me a list on Tuesday (that's tomorrow.) I think my insurance will only pay for 12 visits, but I really need to get this nipped. It's time I realized that my relationship with food is just not normal.

Hi all,
Welcome back Sherry and Deb...you were missed by all!

Ramona, Sorry to hear about your toasted computer. The worst part for me would be having to reload everything.

Welcome, Liz. There is always room for more Floozies.

I guess I am in post-vacation duldrums. Last week it was so crazy at work and I was able to get back on plan. However, once Friday and the holiday weekend hit, it was a free for all (at least for me!) when it came to my eating...totally out of control. I haven't worked out since my return either so I know that isn't helping. Well today, I turned over yet another new leaf (thank goodness there are a lot of leaves out there!) and was able to get back on plan. I am planning on working out tomorrow too.

Love to all the Floozies,

Sherry-You know darn well that we missed you and Debbie terribly!!! We just can't say it enough! I'm so glad that you all had a great time, I'm just sorry that you had to get sick!!

Ramona-Sorry about your computer! Your dad sounds just like mine. It was so nice of him to buy you a new one. Please try to post when you can.

I'm not posting to everyone right now. I am feeling very, very, very depressed. I feel like I am a total loser at life. I took some tests over at www.brainbench.com, and failed 3 out of 4 of them. I don't even qualify for the job that I am doing at the school. The only test I passed was English, and that was barely! I flunked business math, accounting, and general business. Of the 3, I almost passed general business. I don't feel like I am qualified to do anything but sit around and be a tub of lard!! I don't even want to run today. You girls don't know this, but I finished school at a correspondance school, because I didn't want to be in a new town and meet new people, so my parents let me take the course. It's not like I can go on to college to try and better myself. I am 50 and a total ZERO!!

Thanks for listening! I didn't mean to bring you all down, you are just all so wonderful and willing to listen!!

Shelley, you are such a bright and intelligent person!!!! I went to the site, but it looked like I would need to pay for the intro test. I bet I would of flunked all four!!!! Sounds like you have a bad case of the "down on Shelley" just like I had the "down on Gayle" a few weeks ago. I ended up getting my GED then going on what would of been my Senior year through Cosmetology. So see, your not the only one here without a college education. I know several very bright people that are "book smart" but lacking in common sense! Remember that you are a WONDERFUL person, mother, wife and FRIEND!

Sher: so sad your feeling bad..... I hope the meds help! How's Drew today? Nancy is doing ok, she is a very strong person and it is her determination and spirit that is keeping her with us. Yaaa, can you believe I passed Keith up??? I really wanted to stay, but Steve might of been a tad upset with me if Keith wanted to make me his "groupie chick" for the night!

Deb: How's James? Are you feeling ok? Guess you guys had one to many parties!

Jeanne: I hope you stay on plan today! Remember that you have came so far and will continue to do so!

Jennelle: I suffer from binge eating too. I'm either all or nothing....I stay strictly on plan or I eat like a horse! I will be thinking of you!

Dee: I agree with Sher. How's life? I assumed Larry was keeping you busy over his vacation... What kind of busy???

Ramona: Treasure your Father! I lost mine 18 years ago and miss him every day!

Carol: How did weigh-in go?

I hope everyone has a nice day today, I need to go, I have one of the daycare babies attached to my leg!!!

Shelley - Why do you think you can't take college courses at 50? When I was going to college (I graduated a month shy of my 34th birthday), there was a woman in my Shakespeare class in her late 40's and a man in one of my polysci classes in his late 60's! You're never too old to learn!

Community colleges are a great resource for learning new job skills or brushing up on old ones. They are also really good for help in honing writing and math skills, and they're cheap. Check with your local community college and see what they have to offer. You don't have to get a degree - just kinda feel around and see what interests you. Research has proven that people who are "lifelong learners" live longer with better memories.

Gayle-I only took the free tests. I came upon the site by accident. I wish I never had!!

Jennelle-Thanks for the advice.

Debbie-Don't worry about the gain. You'll get it right back off.

See Shelley, I'm so dense, I couldn't even find the FREE test!

Deb: Actually a 3 pound gain over vacation is not bad at all. What do you bet most if not all of it is from water retention. It will come right off.

I think I feel worse today then yesterday but atleast the cough is starting to break up and I can cough up the crap some.

Shelley,
You are a very smart & bright person! A college degree does not make you a smarter person! Sometimes I wonder how some of the teachers at my School got degrees! I'm sure it's like that at your School too. I feel as smart as the next person but only I don't have my degree. My choice was to be a Mom and stay home with my boys until they got in School. Now tell me what degree is MORE important then that!!! If you want to go to School....Go for it!!!! It's NEVER to late!!! Now have a good talking to yourself and realize how smart you are!!! There are tons of people out in this world that can't read or write (Bless their hearts). So now think about all this and give yourself a big ole hug!

Gayle,
I'm like you, I couldn't even find the free test either!!! We are both real smart!!! He-He

Debbie,
Is that long post floating in cyber-space??

At the Dr. office yesterday, My weight was back up to 176. I do so good, then do so bad! When I get well, I'm starting all over again. (Story of my life)

Gotta lay back down......Later

Sher-bear: sending a bushel load of hugs your way!!!!!

The story of your life is also the story of my life. Don't get discouraged and gain it all back like I have. We can do this together!

Ladies I need help with cleaning. 1 of you suggested a certain rust cleaner, but I can't remember what it is. The pumice stone works great, but my daughter's bathtub is big time grundgy and the pumice stone doesn't work on such a big surface. I have used CLR and The Works. Forget both of those. I also used bleach. Any other suggestions? It's a regular porcelan tub. Thanks for any help.

Also, I just came down with a case of the hives. I don't know why. I haven't eaten anything different. Maybe the cleaners did it? I have them mainly on my lower stomach, and under my arms. Weird?? I just took some Benedryl. It has been years since I have had them. Maybe it's from my frame of mind.

Thanks everyone for your concern for me. I can always come to you all for help!
