Hugs, Sandi,

You can start again! I know you can!

I'm up too...I want to hold myself accountable, and not just post losses.

218.5-up from 216.5-but considering how much I ate, I'm thankful it's not more..I CANNOT bake and have brownies in the house. I have NO control. Even my husband said, "do not make these again for a while-they're too good."

Ate like a pig on Friday and Saturday. Went back on track yesterday and so far today-wow, big accomplishment, I've stayed OP until 10 am so far!

OK> Say what you want about Atkins, but my metabolism is finally speeding up!

I lost 6 pounds this week! Getting to adoption goal by the end of the month could ACTUALLY HAPPEN.

In addition, I'm on the cusp of ONEDERLAND!

Finally, I'm a consistent loser! I'm so relieved.

You are so close-! You could do it this week!!! Wow! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Seeing that number so close to 199 must feel great!

07-07-2003, 05:42 PM
Sandi, Yes, but every pound counts and you're not at 300, you're at 299, so that's a good thing and next week it will be even better!

Angi, Excellent!! I'm glad you're feeling better and well on your way to hitting that adoption goal!

07-08-2003, 11:05 AM
I weighed in today at 266! I dont remember what my last post was at but that is a loss for me!

07-08-2003, 11:12 AM

Down one pound.

But we're heading to the boardwalk today, so I'll probably gain it right back..plus Matthew's birthday cake.

I'm down 1.8, so I'm at 245 now, which is about 54 from my all time high last October, and 45.2 down from my starting WW weight at the very end of December.

I am finally feeling like I can do this! I even cleaned out my closets this weekend. Gotta make room for the new stuff. :)

I'm down 1 lb. from last week. It would have been more if it weren't for my lack of self control with Chinese food on Sunday night. :nono: Oh well, I've learned my lesson, I'll move on now. Next week will be better!!:strong:

07-10-2003, 12:51 AM
Thats great Angi, You are so close to your goal, keep it up!

Me I've stayed the same this week. I haven't had a lose for ages but then again I haven't really been trying that hard. Must get back into it.

07-10-2003, 10:47 AM
Up a pound -- not surprising considering I've succumbed to the siren call of chocolate more often than I'd like to admit during the past week :( Some day I'll get this right . . .

07-10-2003, 02:31 PM
Down one more pound to 216.5

39.5 gone since 1/1/03! (can't wait to hit the big 40!)

Sherry- who will probably gain this pound back on Saturday after Matthew's birthday party.

ANGI!!! awesome!!

i'm up 2 this week. trying not to be too down about it, because there are oh so many factors: TOM, not cooking my own meals, eating out too much, not exercising... and those last three are because i'm staying at david's parent's house and i have no space to do anything. i'm trying... but i slip too.

in 2 weeks or so, i'll be FULLY on track, and right now, staying in the same general area is ok.

07-11-2003, 12:48 AM
i'm down 1.8 for a total of 13.2

and i'm making a mini goal to be at or below 250 by september 1st (my birthday)

07-11-2003, 03:35 PM
Down one pound.

07-12-2003, 12:46 PM
280. Get me off this plateau!!!!!!

07-12-2003, 01:22 PM
SAPF, I hear you! My scale has not moved in almost 2 weeks and I'm getting really, really, really frustrated!!! I just read an article in Prevention that talked about increasing your calcium while maintaining the same amount of calories and that it can really help boost your weight loss. I figure it can't hurt so I'm going to try it and see.

Very frustrating to work so hard and stay stuck in one place!!

Heres a latter ladies come on down....

07-13-2003, 06:08 PM
I replied on last weeks thread. It was this one that I should have put a 1 pound loss. I weigh tomorrow so I'm hoping it will be more.

Way to go to all who have lost this week. Looking forward to these post.

Just wanted to say welcome! Sorry if you had a post introducing yourself and I missed it. Congratulations on your loss so far.

Take care,

Welcome Howie!

I've been away for a little while because of my trip home to Ohio over the 4th of July weekend. The stress of the visit, coupled with a regression to old eating/ drinking habits when back home lead to a serious weight gain.

Since I have been back in Boston for the week, I've lost most of the weight that I put back on. I still never made it under 300 pounds though...As of weigh in this morning, I'm at 302.2 pounds.

That's great that you are right back at it Matt. That is where I failed my last attempt a year ago. I went on vacation and never got back on my plan. I know now that I will just have to stay on it no matter what. Where in Ohio are you from. I'm in Newark 30 miles east of Columbus. I am working on getting under 400 right now but I can't wait until next year when I'll be going under 300. I am so determined this time. I feel like I did in 1991 when I lost 190 and this time I only have to lose 184 instead of 250.

Hi Howie,

I grew up in Cleveland, but most of my time back in Ohio was visiting my brother who lives in Elyria (Lorain County). Most of my family is still around the Cleveland area. I've been at the weight loss thing for a little over a year now (i started July 1st 2002).

In the week leading up to going home up till I arrived back in Boston, I gained about 7 pounds. Quite an extraordinary amount of weight gain for a little over a week and a half. I still have about 1 pound to lose to get back to my lowest. I hope to crack the 300 mark next week (i was close to it 2 weeks ago!).
