Default November/December NSV (non-scale victories)

I didn't see one started so I thought I'd go ahead and get a new one going for the rest of 2013. Now that we're in the holiday season, it may be even more important for us to acknowledge this victories in the face of temptation!

Here is mine...

I've been going through a breakup over the last month, and even though I know I've gained a small bit (I'm up from 286 to around 288) thanks to drowning my sorrows in ice cream and chocolate, I know that my gain could be much worse.

Good job Dreamgyrl!
It is good to give ourselves credit when we have made improvements in our behaviors.

Thanks Ubee for the encouragement. I think I'm back on track now, both emotionally and physically.

Activeadventurer, that is AWESOME!!!! I've just bought a few new bras as well over the weekend since everything at Lane Bryant was 50% off (their bras are the only ones that give "the girls" the va-va-va-voom lift that I like LOL!). I even bought one that was a size smaller to accommodate my future losses as well.

Here is my NSV - in the September thread, I posted about getting into a pair of jeans that I hasn't worn in ages. Well those jeans are now loose and baggy! I've been on the hunt for a replacement pair under $20 but I can only find skinny jeans and I'm a bootcut girl. lol

I hope everyone else is taking the time to enjoy those small victories too.

ETA: Ok, I just noticed that I'm only 7 lbs from my mini goal of 275. I don't know why that hit me JUST now! lol

Hello it so encouraging to read all these NSV's.

Tonight I went to get a few groceries and I picked up a bag of chips. I put them back and then went and put them back in my cart. I thought about them while I shopped and put them back on the shelf. That is a huge NSV for me.

Thanks Ubee!

I have an addiction to chips and crackers. If I have them in the house I am drawn to them as a moth to a flame.

I had another NSV!

My sister is a serial baker and she is constantly baking cookies at this time of year. She asked me if I wanted some of the almond shortbread double layer cookies with jam filling cookies and I was able to say no. And with my sister she always tries a little harder to get me to take some and I still said no thanks. I will have many opportunities to have a cookie over the holidays if I want one and if I take a few dozen home I will just eat them all.
