Well let me start this thread by saying

We had a good one!! We left our house with the moderately disfunctional air conditioner at 11:30, and went to a friend's house who fed us lunch AND dinner (and I stayed basically OP!!) and then we lit some fireworks (legal kind.) The kids had a blast and we kept cool. Two storms went through while we were there, but we were nice and comfy. We came home at 11:30 last night and the power was out!! (we later learned it went out at 1 pm yestaerday!) Since we had the (kind of) air on, the house was closed up and it was 84 in here, so we slept on the couch with the front door open and tried to cool the house down. The power came back on about 2 hours ago, so I am a happy camper right now!!!

DH's band played on Friday night so I was up until 5 am :yawn: had a blast though :)

I had a great Birthday dinner on Saturday but ate way too much-I am dreading weigh in at WW tonight

I got some cool stuff too- a sarong, bath stuff, a skirt from DH, several gift certificates for chapters -which I promptly spent on Sunday - :lol:-and some amber earrings from my parents.

Geeze- I hope Ellis gets her computer fixed soon -things aren't the same around here with out her :(

Darlings, I'm back!

A few of you will be glad (I think), and some of you will be bitterly disappointed. Sorry. ;)

I have missed you all terribly.

In a nutshell...

- went to the cottage
- car broke down
- drove home in Dad's car
- got a quote on the car: "it's dead"
- spent an entire week getting financing and searching for a new car
- almost blew the engine in Dad's car in the meantime
- Internet server cut me off (missed a payment... those little #@*#@$!'s)
- got a new server... finally got it working. High speed!
- lost a couple more pounds, despite a MAJOR stressful week

I hope you all had a happy 4th!! I was thinking of all of you. Yes, we had a MAJOR storm that night. It was beautiful. I ran outside at 4 AM to get a library book that I hadn't left outside. :rolleyes:

Although I don't yet have anything in writing :doh:, I did sneak a peek at an order for an office nameplate :twirly:, so it must be close enough to official that I can break into the single malt scotch with impunity. :dizzy:

Does anyone else get stomach aches for 2 days after they over eat? My stomache hurts, not in a nauseous way but I feel like my stomach muscles got stretched out or something :?: This is the second time this has occurred :shrug: not sure what it is.

Yes, I've had that happen. And I'm usually STARVING the next day, as if my stomach is saying, "Hey! You put a heck of a lot in here yesterday! Pack it in again!"
