Here is a motivator Beck Diet Solution posted on Monday:
The most successful dieters and maintainers are not those who never make mistakes - they are those who make mistakes and get immediately back on track. This week, if you make a mistake, do the opposite of what you've likely been doing: DON'T beat yourself up and DO immediately resume normal eating for the day. Remember, EVERYONE makes mistakes, but not everyone uses those mistakes as an excuse to keep making more.

I did good all day yesterday but found myself givin in to snacks last night. It's like the baby in me says "you are recovering and worked all day and are in pain and tired, poor thing you have what you want" bull crap enough of that!!!! Where does this even come from I was so loving this diet and so on target and not even tempted to cheat before so this complete turn around has me confused and baffled.
A friend told me this a long time ago:the inner child cannot be in charge of the food plan. That is an adult responsibility.
I always liked that.

Good morning!

I have been doing good and staying OP. However, everyday in my way home I pass a Sara Lee factory and smell the fresh baked bread and I am really starting to miss bread. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do fill my cravinvg? After there any recipes to make bread using IP packages?

I've made "flatbread" out of the tomato basil soup and the broccoli cheddar soup. There's also muffins from the potato purée. Search the recipe threads for ideas. ;)

So I saw a great recipe from rainbowsmiles using a crepe mix. Just search the forum, I think it starts with the word MIX'N, maybe someone else knows the whole title. She has several volumes and is super creative. The only thing my coach was concerned with is me getting in the whole packet on some of the recipes. Some are a bit more simple but at this stage of the game, for me, it's too much math! :dizzy: I too am missing bread and find that some days are worse than others. Bread really has a lot of junk in it and it's not worth my $85 a week to go out of ketosis over. My advice would be to just concentrate on the items on the list and becoming super creative, I know it isn't great, but it's working so far for me anyway. Best of Luck and keep on keeping on!!

Hello all I had my first official IP weigh in and I went from 241 to 232 and I am so excited. However I am still going to the gym and want to continue on this path. One of my biggest downfalls is when someone tells me I look good. When this happens in the past how I deal with it is to start eating everything in sight. This is a form of self sabatoge and I vow not to do this while I am on my IP journey. I went home last night after this comment and talked with my close friend who also has been on IP and talked with her. Then I made a great stir fry with many vegetables I previously would not have eaten. What a great dinner and what a great feeling not to give into old habbits. Now to start week 2 I am stoked and will remember that my coach said there might not be much weight loss this week but I am going to stay 100% OP.
I love this website and it is a great avenue of support....

Ok our bedroom is empty atm. we are getting a new CA King box spring and mattress tomorrow :broc:

I decided since the room is empty to clean out our closet. I found a Maxi dress that I ordered over the summer. When I got it in july or august I put it on and OMG it look sooooooooooooooooo horrible. It was "one size fits Most" style. It was so snug on my chest, hips, waist and bum I looked like a sausage.

I decided to put it on last night and it FIT!! It is actually a little loose!!! It actually looked pretty on my (blush) DH came in from the garage and said WOW that looks so nice on you (he never gives compliments like that hardly at all!!!)

I think when I lose another 15-20lbs it will look perfect and I wont be at goal!!!

But with that said this is more of an incentive to keep 100% or as close to it as I humanly can :)

This is my own NSV for me today , plus I woke up in a better mood with that thought in my head!!!

Sarahbell, it is such a great feeling when our sweeties give us compliments. Mine is not the type to say a lot either, so it is extra special when he does. I bet this just made your day!

Happy Hump Day everyone!
I have a question. The last two days I have felt like I'm an elderly person with arthritis and joint pain in my right hip, so much so that it hurts to move or sit, or lay down. I figured I did something to my hip/side to make it feel this way, but I figured I'd post to here to see if anyone else had experienced this before...
Anyway, Have a great wednesday!

I think the 100%ers were talking about this a while back.
Someone found some research that just like muscle supports our joints, the fat was compressing on them, as well, providing support. So, after losing the fat, it is time to start some mild strength training to provide muscle support for those joints instead!
So, if you can't think of anything you've "done", I'm guessing this is a possibility, as well.

Good morning all. So, yesterday was my 1st WI on P3. I knew I wasn't going to see P1 losses, but I gained. Almost 4 pounds. Mind you, I was having issues with the Big C, TOM and had a fully belly of breakfast, but I was sad. I am not going to lie. Holding onto my faith that this is a simply part of the process has been helped by the kindness of 3FC member Daklls (thank you!!), with a good reminder regarding what P3 means, how it works, etc. It is an adjustment to not see the losses though.

So, with that, I went home, went jogging in the rain and made yummy steak and cucumber salad for dinner. Today, I am in a better mood and finding trust in myself more and more - although, as the Beatles sang, I get by with a little help from my friends.

Thank you.

Good morning, very inspirational posts today!

Feeling good today, although I am freezing. That's one thing I have noticed since I started IP and it has gotten cooler out, that I am cold a lot. From some of the posts, I gather that this is common. I actually turned up the heat in my office, which embarassed me because I spent the whole last winter calling maintenance and complaining about how hot my office was!! Oh, if they could see me now.

DH is out of town which worries me because my meal planning goes right downhill when I am just cooking for me. Luckily, I have loads of vegetables at home so my fallback is always an omelette with veggies.

Have a great IP day everyone!

My favorite "bread" was the broccoli cheddar soup made in the waffle iron. It's in the recipe threads.

Hi all. WI was today for me-- down 1.4. Not bad, but I find it so frustrating that my scale at home showed a 2.4lb loss for the week and then the clinic's is so different. I understand that there's time of day variance, but the 1lb difference is frustrating.

You can say don't stand on the scale at home, but that's not going to change, and those fluctuations don't bother me, just the inconsistency.

Not sure why but it's just kind of a down day (even before WI).

Happy Hump Day! :dizzy:

Waiting not-so-patiently for the weekend. Ugh, it is SUCH a busy time of year! I have most of my grades, comments, etc. done for report cards next week. I am not looking forward to these reports. Oh, well. It is what it is; the kids did the work, not me. (Or in many cases, they DIDN'T do the work...)

One of our families brought in a nice lunch spread for the teachers: nice rolls and sandwich fixin's, salads, cake, cookies, soda... NSV is that I was able to resist it all! It was a very sweet gesture, and my co-workers really enjoyed it. I ate my leftover cauli rice, broccoli, and protein.

Trivia tonight, but feeling tired and not sure if i will make it till 9:30. I have to sleep well tonight 'cuz I will be out all night tomorrow seeing the Hunger Games double feature. So excited! Planning my water bottles and snacks for the movie and getting everything ready tonight. Go, Katniss, go!

I am with you there! My nose has been especially cold (is this weird?) It feels like an ice cube! I used to be HOT all the time; now I wear sweaters almost all day and turn the heat up in my classroom. I understand it, but I don't like it! I just want a warm nose!!!

I am always cold now too. I was going through some pre menopausal thing for about six months before I started. Hadn't had my TOM for about six months and was dying with hot flashes. About a week before my IP start date I had my TOM. Hot flashes over. Been freezing ever since starting. Tom came today. really wondering how my loses will be this week. I'm afraid I won't lose at all.:o

Hello all!! I am back!!! So exhausted but I had an amazing trip!

Glad to be home and back into my routine. Traveling is hard on IP. I stayed OP my entire trip, however I am sure that my portioning was off, and I know for sure that I didn't get all of my water in. But I am home now, and anxious for my WI tomorrow morning!!

Can't wait to catch up on everything I missed while I was away!!

Reenhag, congrats on your nsv! What a nice thing for that family to do. It can be tough, I am going to give any edible gifts at the holidays away before I even leave the building. I can totally relate to your above post. I am in the middle of a research project with my cherubs and it has been like pulling teeth. I was so tired after work that I came home and fell asleep for over an hour. The kids just seem to lack the urgency a deadline should bring.

had WI #7 today, down only 1.5 :( my coach immediately asked if i had cheated (i did have a couple drinks saturday) so i told her that I did but it kind of bothered me that she asked that immediately. While 1.5 lbs in a week isn't ideal, I am nearing my goal so had expected my losses to slow down now I don't know what she is expecting of me every week

I tried the wildberry muffins tonite. They rock! My routine before IP was a muffin and tea for bfast so I was missing them.

Even my DH who isn't on the diet ate some. The recipe made 20 mini muffins and took almost 10 more minutes to cook than what the recipe stated but they were delish.

Looks like you and I had a really similar WI. I was -1.4lbs. What's your % body fat if you don't mind me asking? I sometimes wonder if that matters... I am at 34%. "Healthy body fat" is one of my goals since muscle is better at burning calories than fat.

My coach didn't really have a reaction at all about my weight. I'm so new to the program I guess we don't know what to expect. I was just feeling like a brat earlier-- I weighed 172 consistently on my home scale for 5 days. I expected the clinic's scale to be a bit heavier, but come on, 176? I felt a little whiney since this second week was harder for me than the first.

No matter, my home scale is still lower than it was last week, so I guess that's a victory. Plus I lost 2" on my thorax, 1" on my bust, and 1.5" on my waist. So I guess those are good losses, too. (ah, PMS, what wonders you do for my mood!)

Well, I don't have as big of a stomach as I thought anymore, and ended up faceplanting into the door (with all my friends behind me trying not to laugh)... SO my belly is shrinking, but so did my dignitity when I tried to open the door with my face... Lol
