I was traveling last week - and two days ago we visited a goat farm and brought back several fresh cheeses. I think they caused a small gain. (We'll consider it an advantage that I'm starting this new challenge, because hopefully the 2 pounds will go as fast as they came...)

Wanna, don't mind at all. I'm still learning how things work on the site :) I still am at the same 170, nothing happening. However, no gain, so cant complain. It been over a week and nothing, I am losing so slowly even though I'm trying so hard. Ugh. But not giving up this time. 21 days clean eating today:o

Made italian roast pork in the crock pot, so I may be up tomorrow. Totally worth it :)

For the first time since I started 2 months ago I'm stuck - at first I thought it was a reaction to eating goat cheese but now it's been several days and no better, despite my diet being on track. Maybe it's just my body adjusting? And I know it's only been a few days, but for 2 months I've had steady declines in weight if not every day at least every 2 or 3. In any event it's making me be more careful and track everything and I guess another lesson in patience.

Staja.. I have to be careful with the Internet at work too.. I have the mail area/fedex/storage in my office and people come in and out alllllll the time lol

Sarah... I wonder if your weight is also a response to your trip? maybe you had some salty or extra food while you were gone.. just thinking... but momentary stops.. just happen. I KNOW! lol I also think our bodies adjust and have to move things around and then get back to business! :)

Scale hasn't moved, still sitting at 170. I have given myself the challenge to drop 7 lbs by Thanksgiving, I am wondering if I can. I dropped the first five lbs, no just the stubborn 2 lbs remain.

I am still binge free and I think that helps the weight from going up, for sure!:^: But, I'm not dropping lbs fast at all. I have to work for every ounce.

I was talking to myself this morning, :hug:, reminding myself when that feeling crept into my mind, you are losing slowly but remember if you continue to eat what you are supposed to and not binge, those pounds have to come off. Right :?:

Sara, traveling always makes my weight fluctuate. It doesn't matter if its a car trip or a plane. I retain water sitting for long periods of time and often food choices are different than at home, saltier.

this sounds perfect. I love pork roast. How do you make it?

All those staying the same...I feel ya! Try watching salt/carbs for a day or...*** odd as it sounds go OVER calories for a day either one should shock your body into losing!

My dinner out with a friend got cancelled, so I pity-ate 2 heath bars and some Nutella after dinner. I pretty much have zero friends up here and was so excited to have plans finally (with a former co-worker that is 7 years older than my Mom...) that I was majorly bummed when they got cancelled. Now I feel gross for so many reasons...

Anyway, italian roast pork is easy (and awesome). I get a 2-3 pound Boston butt/shoulder roast. The kind that comes in the mesh bag works the best, then I mix chopped garlic, olive oil, parsley, salt & pepper into a paste and rub it all over the roast, including the inside. Then I put it back into the mesh and stick it in the slow cooker on low. 12+ hours later? Dinner is served! I usually blanch, the sauté broccolini in red pepper flakes and more garlic. I do generally eat it on a piece of crusty baguette with provolone, but it's equally as good without the bread. It just soaks up all the yummy juices :)

3 Tbs chopped garlic, heaping
1 Tbs olive oil
1 Tbs salt
1/4 - 1/2 tsp pepper
2 Tbs chopped dried parsley or 1/2 c chopped fresh parsley

Scale moved a bit. It's been an interesting experience and probably one I need to learn to push through a stall (although this has been a short one). I've been losing a pound every few days pretty consistently for two months and this is the first period where that's stopped - but no doubt it won't be the last, I have quite a long ways to go still. And I'm damn determined to keep the weight off, and so this small stall is actually good practice for longer term both as weight loss will slow and also looking towards maintenance. The scale not moving prompted me to dial back in more carefully on what I've been eating and to pay more attention.

Staja! I am so so sorry that your dinner got cancelled. Disappointment just hurts! Food (sugar) sometimes (for me!) is a medicine to get over the hurt, I know... We learn from each other - our triggers and your story reminded me of what I do when I get disappointed.. I am so sorry and send you a HUG and SEND SOME of that dinner OH Baby that Pork Roast that you do is making my mouth water with anticipation..

*holds her breath* scale said 273 this morning and 5 lbs was 274.8 but weigh in isnt till tomorrow so i'm hesitant to call it since my bp and water retention has been willy nilly lately...

Finally, a whoosh! And, a WIN! I've been working hard on this five pounds since November 4th, and frankly was getting pretty frustrated!

Over the past few days I noticed I felt smaller - yesterday I even wore pants that had been too tight 10 days ago and they fit fine, so I suppose my body was shrinking before releasing weight.
