I would love a recipe for a homemade "Light" bread to replace the stuff from the grocery store...

- 40-45 calories a slice
- 19 grams of carbs
- 1 gram of fat

I'm tired of eating fluffy stuff that tastes like cardboard!

That's the only way you get 40-45 calories per slice. Personally, I don't eat the stuff, it doesn't satisfy me. Whole grains are much more healthy and you don't get them in the light stuff. I'd rather spend 1 point on a slice and feel like I've eaten something.

Has anybody tried Paraclete Bread? It sounds loke a possible store-bught alternative. As best I can tell it is only available on-line fromwww.gratainc.com. I've e-mailed the company to find out if it is available in any stores but have not heard back.
